Great counter staff and delivery drivers. A little more expensive than some others but you can taste the difference.

Wow! Ordered the chicken vindaloo and the Karahi lamb and both were fantastic! Warning though, the servings are huge!!!

Ordered takeaway form this Indian for the first time the delivery service was good and fast but on the other hand the food was not the best. The chicken kurma was very spicy and the prawn kurma was to sickly.

Used to be the Best Indian take away in Plymouth, the recent order was alfull no taste, very watery and the makhni curry consistency was just like Tomato soup. Has really gone down hill.

Have been going to Indus for years but my recent order was Awful.. the chicken makhni and moglai were watery and tasteless. The Makhni was like a tomato soup with a couple of bits of chicken added.

The price of this takeaway is so overpriced it untrue. When your rice is costing nearly half of your main dish it’s a reason to go somewhere else

I have tried a few Indian take aways and this one is by far the best, great friendly service, can be ordered online, over the phone or by walking into the shop....

Great little takeaway, good size portions and happy to swap from there set menu (additional cost may apply) Really lovely food, the only downfall is the onion bhaji as they can be greasy.

Despite the estimated delivery time being 45mins-1hr it’s always quicker. Food arrives well packaged and appropriate pots etc used for the type of food ordered., hot food is delivered piping hot and stays hot. Everything I’ve ever ordered has been delicious, and extra marks for the mint sauce 😋😋

After many years of using Indus this sadly is the last time. We waited 2 and a bit hours for delivery when told 1ish, (which we were prepared to wait for as usually we cannot complain about the food, usually we rave to friends to get it) but on this occasion the food arrived cold. After phoning to complain, they were of little help. Very disappointed with the service. Should never have to reheat a Indian takeaway before it’s even been served.

Ordered a meal online this evening (21/05/22) despite being outside their delivery area. Collected the order on time and after getting home from a 50 minute round trip found I was missing a side dish but had an extra portion of rice which was useless for a meal for one. I phoned to let them know that someone else would be calling to advise they had the wrong order. Unfortunately the meal did not impress either and whilst being cooked to order, was no better than some supermarket ready meals. Very disappointing. Struggling to now find a good reliable curry house in Plymouth since most of the best ones have closed down in the past 2 or 3 years.

This is our go to Indian Takeaway and very rarely do we have reason to doubt our decision.

Always very good food although sometimes a wait is expected (Friday and Saturday nights mainly) but that shows they are popular with others too 🙂 portion sizes are great also

For years my mates have talked bout Indus,i've enjoyed many Indian meals in Plymouth,and this one was,errm, different. My son ordered chicken Vindaloo and i ordered lamb Madras and i have never had orange coloured curries before. They were what i could only describe as... different. But, i've tried it now, ticked off ," must try list"!

Excellent meal, excellent service. Was missing my popadums & after a short phone call they arrived within 5 minutes. Can't fault the food, always turns up hot & way before estimated time. Been using indus over 20 years now & wouldn't go anywhere else for my Indian.

Have been using Indus for many years and was surprised to see the last few reviews. we have always found the food to be VERY good and well priced. We live in PL9 and have it delivered regularly. Why use anywhere else!

After placing an online order to this restaurant I was told on collection I couldn’t pay on card. I wanted to use my debit card to pay for this order totally £20 or there abouts to which the lady on the counter refused and told me I have to pay cash. Bearing in mind it says on a poster in the shop cash OR CARD on collection when ordered off the Indus online web page she refused to take my card and suggested I pay at the cash point outside to get cash out. When the cash machine wasn’t working that wasn’t good enough and it was a massive deal to them that I could only pay on card and quite frankly we’re rude. I clearly had Inconvenienced the lady behind the counter so refused to pay and left without what I’m sure would of been a now cold curry. This hasn’t happened before and have used the website previously and had no issues but after this experience I will not use them again which is a shame as they do make a good curry. Extremely poor customer service. Would give zero if I could

Been eating food from Indus for 15-20 years and this was the worst meal I've ever ordered from them. It arrives, curry was average, pakora and bhajis stone cold, popodums were stale. Imo because they've been out on delivery for ages sat there getting cold on a back seat Rung them up because its not acceptable and why should I pay for food like this, the irony is on their bag it states they"deliver hot food". Woman who answers the phone is apologetic and puts me onto the chef. He starts getting defensive and talking over me in a passive aggressive manner trying to tell me that it's fine. He finally accepts that he doesn't actually have a clue as to how cold my food is and send me out some fresh starters, asking me to put my curry in a low oven to keep warm!? (true sign of a professional). When the new starters arrive, they're just about warm but definitely not hot. I will never be eating from here again, standards have slipped all round. Delivery is an hour for cold food and then the chef is necky on the phone telling me, the paying customer, its OK. If I could score a zero I would. Don't waste your money Plymouth

Worst experience with indus ever last night was told food would be 1 and half hours that time comes so rings up gets told it on its way 2 and half hours later it turns up with no rice for the curry when we rang to explain this we was argued with that it's a perfectly good meal and we should wait 20 mins for the rice to be delivered after arguing with her the food would be cold we were told we are stupid it's boiling hot we argued back and forth for 20 minutes that we would like a new meal or a refund to be told that's not gna happen we argued a bit more and was told we are not having anymore food we can have a refund and the driver is leaving straight away 1 hour later she turns uip toke all the food out the bag to make sure it was there and was told if any of the food was touched there would be trouble she then took the food away and refunded the driver couldn't apologise enough saying there had been so many complaints about the woman on the phone and she was the boss so there's nothing we could do so after hours and hours of waiting for nothing we finally got pizza hut at 10 with the refund 😅😅 never ever order from indus!!!!! P.s it was also valentines day and are first night away from the kids in a long time so thabkyou for that I will make sure no one orders here again!

Well where do I start...Ordered at six still Didn’t arrive till 9.45 was told on Numerous occasions was on its way. When the food arrived one word (WOW)Absolutely Disgusting and A slimy texture. Had the trots for 3 days after should be closed down.

Worse chicken tikka in my life I rang them up and explained the situation the owner didn’t care and said that’s how we make it and hanged up I’m never going back again

Ordered after having used in the past Total rubbish - the driver demanded we pay the bridge fee (live in saltash) said they had been trying to get hold of us - not at all!!! The food was cold and inedible - will never use again

Again ordered told 1hr past 6oclock for delivery and yet again had to chase for order 2hrs late and luke warm what is happening to this place used to be great now going down hill rapidley on delivery times pity as food is great just very bad time management.

2.5 hr wait when told 1.5 if they cant keep to time they shouldnt state a time just say cant take any orders.

I've been using this takeaway for years & can honestly say hand on heart this is simply the best Indian takeaway not only in Plymouth but probably whole of the South West. The food always taste lovely cooked to perfection , unlike so many other Indian takeaway's I've tasted that . Recommend their chicken tikka starter , lamb Vindaloo main, Saag aloo & Bombay potato side dishes, absolutely delicious . A***

I used to love Indus takeaway, but tonight the chips were cooked 1000 times over, the nan bread was cooked an hour ago & left on the side & to top it off the manager said it was my fault as I ordered late (19:00) and they said up to and hour n half, over 2 hours later it arrived, well your customer service stinks and your food need a new hygiene rating

He estado usando Indus durante años, pero la última pareja ha sido una decepción. Las patatas fritas siempre están frías. Las papas en mi curry son duras, los bhajis de cebolla siempre son duros y necesitan calentamiento. Tal vez un nuevo chef pero no lo que solía ser.

My daughter bought my wife and myself dinner to celebrate my 65th birthday. The meal was delivered on time and the curry was crack on but was spoilt by the reheated chips and stale tasting popadoms

Ordered at 18.27 to arrive “in 75 mins” called at 20.00 to chase “it’ll be 30 mins” arrived at 20.58 - it wasn’t worth the wait! Try Cafe Indya or pick up from Nibana instead...

We ordered this as we love the food, although we have suffered from bad tummy, bloated and sore with a lot of wind trapped! Don't know if they increased some sort of ingredients but really has second guessed our coming again

Home delivery - all meals spot on. Can recommend the jalfrezi - tastily spicy! Chilli garlic nan was delicious. Lovely popadums chutney chicken pakora. Also recommend the chilli masala. Yum yum yum - leftovers eaten for breakfast!

Ordered a delivery service one item missing was told the driver would be right back with it I checked it wouldn't be long as I explained I had to keep the rest of the order warm in the oven ... 45 mins later dried up rice dried crispy chapattis. Rang back and said items were now ruined she said I had 2 choices wait 10 more mins for the missing item to arrive or have the missing item deducted from next order ... chapattis and rice chucked in the bin then as unedible .. needless to say I won't be ordering again

Our old go-to Indian is no longer on Just Eat. My other half did a search on Plymouth Gossip Girls to find a good Indian. There was a post about it from a few days ago. 80% of the comments said Indus. So we went ahead and ordered with fingers crossed. And DAYUM! This food was bangin'! It arrived dead on time.. Steaming hot still and it tasted sensational. Our new Indian! Also... Free poppadoms (always a plus).

Food was late , the portion sizes in the food have decreased alot, starting not to be worth the money you spend taste great but size let down .

Delivery was late. I called. They didn't care, didn't apologise, told me it was fine because they didn't guarantee the delivery time. I've rarely seen a business that cared so little about customers coming back ever again. Delivery guy was nice though, when he turned up an hour after they said he would - with food too hot to have been sitting around for the 40 minutes they implied.

This is my favourite Indian takeaway but the last two orders have both taken over two hours, last time I tried phoning the takeaway, nobody picked up, got in contact with just eat and they couldn't reach anyone either. It breaks my heart but I'm never ordering from here again.

On the way back from work I called in on the off chance. It was obviously very busy, which I consider to be a good sign. I had a 45 minute wait for my takeaway but was well worth the wait. The service and food was exceptional. Most definitely going back for more but next time I will be phoning my order in.

food was all great, my sister and friend ordered a curry set I just ordered chips as I’m allergic to coconut. however I managed to get a rash around my mouth still! I personally won’t order again for terms of discomfort. but my sister and her friend enjoyed their food!

The food was quite nice the, only thing that was wrong was they gave us a naan bread that was unstuffed, but didn't matter to us. So all in all not bad

Used to be a regular of Indus but then food was not as good as usual (different chef maybe?) so went elsewhere. Tried Indus tonite on recommendation of my Daughter - wow meal was superb. Will be returning to Indus!!

We ordered out takeaway at 7.45pm and was told it would be delivered at 9.15pm. When I checked the delivery time again a bit later it told me “the restaurant has added 30 minutes onto your delivery time “ this would then have made the delivery 9.45pm. At 10.20pm I rang the takeaway to mind out where our order was only to be told “it’s just leaving us now” . Now I’m sorry but to wait an hour for a takeaway is one thing but to have to wait just over 2 and a half hours is not acceptable!!!!

Waited over 3 hours from ordering. Was told it is a cold night that's why it's late. Food was poor, swimming in grease, hardly any meat in keema naan.
