Masala'z Indian Takeaway in Plymouth

Delicious vegetable curries,pilai rice and plain naan bread,believe me you do not need flavoured naan here! The vegetable madras if rich and full of flavour and the Saag aloo is out of this world and heavenly too. They kindly added 3 scrumptious onion Bhaji's free to our order which was a lovely surprise.

Regular at masala’z. But now there is new management the food is even better, than before. Usually I do not finish the plate, this time devoured it. The chicken was nice and flavoursome . Doses are a great Great value for money. One downside they have put the prices up of the chips and reduced the size.

Thought I'd try a new Indian takeaway for a change, wish I hadn't bothered now, ordered a Biryani and a Dansak, the Biryani looked and tasted like a Chinese special fried rice but with a strong tomato flavour almost tomato soup like flavour too it, the Dansak wasn't like any other Dansak I've had before again lacked flavour didn't have a lot of meat in it either. On the plus side the poppadoms were nice and crispy !

In my 62 years of travel and enjoying my food and cooking this has to go down as the worse curry I have eaten. I’m not sure who cooked this take away I’m guessing it’s not a seasoned Indian cook. Bombay potato was greasy and sloppy. No taste. Curry looked like a bowl of union slop and I’ve never seen a bright red curry in my life. This was absolutely disgusting. And I hope the rice wasn’t re heated because it was... I can’t explain what it was!. My advise is to keep away from this place.

I absolutely love Indian food and ordered several dishes through the Just Eat app. Delivery was promised within an hour of my initial order, but was then nearly an hour late and was delivered stone cold. There were items missing from my delivery too. Both of these things I could forgive due to the time of year, but the quality of the food I actually recieved was horrendous. Pink chicken in the tandoori dish! The naan breads were wet! Everything was swimming in oil! The curry dishes were poor quality with only 3 pieces of meat in one of them plus a big piece of canned pineapple. This is about as far from authentic indian cuisine you can get. I will never EVER eat here again. The food isnt fresh, its frozen and then 'cooked' improperly too. This is food done as cheaply as humanly possible. I placed a £40 order and can't eat any of it. It is all vile. 1 star is too high of a rating for this place.

This is the Indian take away we use, service with a smile, generally we have chicken tikka masala, chicken damask, mushroom rice & pashawar naan bread 2. Never had a bad meal. Always been fresh and hot.

Excellent service and delicious food with a wide choice of vegan options.The vegetable madras and Aloo sag are out of this world.ICannot fault their food as its the best!

Ordered several takeaways from this shop, generally quite good, but last Saturday after waiting for an hour the meal arrived cold, phoned to complain and was told " im very sorry" no cash refund or replacement meal offered, will never order from this place again. Very poor customer service.

We ordered some Indian curry along with Chicken Tikka and Peshawar naan and it was just mouth watering taste. Undoubtedly the best Indian food in Plymouth. Highly recommended place for takeaway food.

Worst place I have ever ordered from so rude , had to cancel my order just from pure rudeness of staff would not even recommend this restaurant at all ! Never have I had to cancel a order before

Had a meal tonight and was absolutely perfect!!! Really reasonably priced and tasted amazing, and I’m usually very fussy and picky! Will defo be getting my indian take away from there from now on. Such friendly staff and owner too 😃

Really surprised this place has just 2 reviews on her. Not surprised they are both positive though. The only place we will order indian food from now, five times now and gorgeous food every single time. Great flavours, great value for money. 5 stars!!

One of the best Indians I've had as a takeaway, although not the cheapest with the discount today made it very affordable and as they didn't have one of the masala poppadoms we were given extra of the ordinary poppadoms which were lovely and unexpected the delivery driver was extremely polite and the food was fragrant and flavoursome will definitely be returning, really made a lovely anniversary The only criticism was the lamb was a little tough but that's a common thing with lamb so would definitely reorder the same dishes

Very convenient to mid Union Street. Evenings only. Good fresh feel to service and food. Never had a problem parking outside. Particularly enjoy the Balti options. Prices average for Plymouth.
