It was an absolutely enjoyable High Tea ceremony. The food was great, the location fine and the perfect scene for what we were looking for. And a special thanks for the perfect and attentive service. Highly recommended!

We booked afternoon tea at the very last minute. The hotel was lovely. We were met by very friendly staff and shown to our table. The waitress explained the menu and offered us an excellent choice of tea and coffee. The afternoon tea included champagne. We were asked about any allergies and these were taken into account, this does not always happen when you visit other hotels/restaurants. The afternoon tea was one of the best we have had. We weren’t rushed and we were very well looked after. We will definitely eat here again.

The food and location were really lovely. The service however was slow despite it not being very busy. The hotel receptionist and restaurant manager were frosty, it was such a turn off. Like they were annoyed at having guests (we did have a reservation!). We also saw the restaurant manager berate a waitress — it was obvious there are management issues resulting in unhappy staff at St. Pauls. The worst part, they were not trying hard to cover it up. We sat outside on the patio which we loved, but mostly because we didn’t want to sit inside, right in the path of chaos for the staff. The food itself was amazing, so I would come back for the food and hope management gets it together.

We thoroughly enjoyed our champagne afternoon tea in the Melody Restaurant at St Pauls Hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. What could have been better on a February, mid-week, blustery, rainy day in London, than our pre-booked tea? It was such a treat! The service and ambiance was good and the selection of both savoury and sweet food was great. There was also a good selection of teas and/or coffee and a very much appreciated glass of champagne too. We pre-paid using an experience voucher, which was good value for money. Would definitely return.

We had a champagne afternoon tea for my friends 60th birthday. It started well with very good service but we were only a third of the way through all the plates when the server came and removed the serving platter and the flowers from the table. We were left with 2 full plates of scones and cakes. We went from feeling like it was a special occasion to a feeling that we were being rushed to leave. It was a shame because it started beautifully.

My guests first experience of a British Afternoon Tea. Service was discreet but good. I had the most amazing gluten-free afternoon tea. I certainly didn't feel like the poor relation with the g/f offering and the g/f scones were the best I've ever had.

Lovely afternoon tea (pre-theatre snack) to celebrate my birthday. Staff very charming and attentive. My friend and I both rated the savoury tea items more highly than the sweet ones and also liked the scones. Would come again as the lounge also had a pleasant aspect from which we could see many interesting characters including a local dancer walking his dog and elegant neighborhood residents, passing the time of day outside contemplatively.

Overall it was ok, nothing too special, service was a little slow, sandwiches and cakes weren't, in my opinion, enough or that great tasting either. It's a shame when you throw in a dirty cup and staff that have had all joy from their soul removed. The first impression was cold, and it didn't warm up much after that. No, not for all the pots of tea; we were glad to leave, the only nice thing about the venue was the building, the contents - including the people - left a lot to desired.

Afternoon tea sandwiches were not good. Scones were great. We had a very loud group of people next to us which didn’t help.

Thoroughly enjoyed afternoon tea with my husband at St Paul’s. The hotel is a beautiful old building with an impressive entrance. The sandwiches and scones were particularly good. The cakes were also pretty indulgent. Just what we like and very attentive service. Overall very good.

I’ve been for an afternoon tea at the St.Paul Hotel. The afternoon tea and a great selection of the menu are a good choice at the St.Paul. Scones and finger sandwiches amazing, the pastries home made could be much better. Pleasant staff and attention to detail.

Apareció como necesario rellenar el café, pequeña cafetería con un gran ambiente relajante y personal acogedor. El café era bueno y la comida que otras personas comían le gustaba muy sabrosa. Si en el área aparece.

The service was excellent, the setting wonderful but the food was not to my liking. The sandwiches were a sort of Scandinavian take on tea with a form of open sandwich on bread converted into melba toast, the scones were dry and I did not bother trying the pastries as they did not look very appetizing. I would not recommend St Paul's Hotel for tea although it is probably great for a drink due to the setting and service.

We were surprised at the overall cost for 2 people - a bit expensive for tea without champagne. The individual pots of were luke warm only and we expected leaf tea rather than tea bags given that we were meant to be enjoying a traditional English afternoon tea. Given the cost, we were disappointed overall. Properly brewed tea requires freshly boiled water rather than just warm. The staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves rather than attending to customers needs. Sadly, the concept of Customer Service was not much in evidence on this occasion!

We thought we were booking afternoon tea at The St Paul Hotel in St Paul MN USA. The St Paul Hotel was very accommodative on Valentines Day (they were already booked) and found a way to serve us. We are inspired to travel to London Next Week and give the original reservation a try. Sorry St Paul’s but with the time difference we blew past the reservation. It was 9:00 PM your time when we figured it out.

I''ve had afternoon tea at several places in London but this was not the most charming one. Very loud disco music to compensate for all the drilling and construction work going on outside the window. If we had know we wouldn't have booked here. Service fine but the food was ok. Nothing more.

Had afternoon tea here to celebrate a very dear friends birthday. It's a fabulous place and we sat at a window with a lovely view outside. You couldn't fault the service, the food was plentiful and we couldn't eat everything. And they were very generous with the champagne! All in all a wonderful afternoon and we are planning to come back again soon

Just around the neighbourhood and I found the cafe by chance. It was such a nice surprise to see this cozy boutique cafe in busy Shoreditch. Service can be slow but that is a price of coziness this cafe provides.

I just love this cafe. There are 2 of them but I am reviewing the one in East London on St Pauls Way. I came across this lovely and very friendly cafe when my little girl started school at the primary school across the road. I pop in at least 3 mornings a week after dropping my daughter off and have got to know all the staff really well. This is also a non profit organisation and provides training and support for individuals with a history of substance abuse who wish to regain employment.

Such a beautiful building, looking even more special due to the Christmas decorations, was taken into a very beautiful room with period features, not too big, very tastefully decorated. We ordered our afternoon tea, without the 'bubbles' and it was very impressive to the eye, with delicious Christmas themed sweet treats, the only thing that let it down was the filling in the sandwiches was almost non existent, and my biggest bug bear, lovely teas served 'bagged' please please please, use loose leaf tea, it is so much more special, and I probably wouldn't come back because of that one element! Such a shame, as it could have so easily been my 'new favourite place' given the wow factor of the building. The staff were also attentive and we're constantly cleaning the place!

Going to meet someone in Poplar I was dropped off on the less-than-attractive St Paul's Way. While waiting I found Paper and Cup - good coffee, pastries and food, plus profits go into a back-to-work scheme and rehabilitation centre for locals. All of which I found out while having a chat with the friendly proprietor Richard. Free wifi and books to read as well.

Hello, this is one of my favorite spot for a morning coffee and pastries in the neighborhood. The eclairs au chocolat in particular are my favorite. However, my only remark would be that the croissants used to be more fresh and tastier a couple of months ago, not sure if you changed anything in the way you’re baking them

No es agradable, pero el personal es encantador, el café helado es excelente, los precios son muy buenos para Londres y nos dejaron quedarnos y charlar durante horas sin problemas. Perfecto para ponerse al día y sentarse después de una visita a la Galería Whitechapel
