Papadom in East Devon

Initially told delivery would be 1 hour. Phoned Papadom after we had waited another 30 mins only to be told there had been a “technical problem” and the food would be 15 minutes. Over 2 hours later still no sign of food. Appalling customer service.

Curry for eight, delivered on new year's Eve? No problem! Very varied curries and sides order, all delicious. 👍

Can't comment on the food standard as I've waited nearly 2 hours for a paid for order to turn up. Tried phoning and getting the runaround about it being very busy. Hopeless.

Food missing on multiple occasions. Food is very average and it takes 1 hour for a small order. Food is quite expensive for the portion size. Disgusting floors and door handles.

When I got to the restaurant to collect no one was around for about 10 minutes. Resteraunt needs updating and cleaning, floor was filthy, door to the kitchen covered in black patches where hands and feet have opened the door. I got my food eventually and headed home. Really didn't know if we should eat it, but it was getting on, so we did. Onion bhajis - missing Seekh kebab - dry and tasted old Chicken pakora - burnt No side salad to go with starters and had to pay extra for sauces to go with starters. Prawn Kashmiri - Prawns had a funny taste Chicken Tikka - chicken dry and old Chicken tikka balti - wasn't that bad Rice - fine Peshwari Naan - lovely Would not recommend ordering from here, we won't be going again.

Hi , yes the restaurant is poor as a visual aspect. However, every time I take away or eat in, we enjoy it. My vindaloo, not my usual was excellent, the coconut rice, sweetness coupled with the heat 😋. The lady chef is a delightful cook of authentic cuisine.

Always a great curry, tasty and hot. Tried many other places. Always return here. Highly recommended. You can order take away or dine in.

Had a takeaway from here, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken tikka starters were cooked to perfection and the roasted onions with it were perfect. For mains we had veg balti, chicken pathia and cheese nan, all were so tasty, not greasy at all, and the nan was full of cheese. All in all a lovely meal.

Thank you, Papadom - your food is delicious and I love the fact that I can pre-order with a determined delivery time. We had a big order this weekend and everything turned up on time and was yummy : )

Quite possibly I’m the best Indian takeaway I’ve ever had! Saw the restaurant mentioned on the Cranbrook Facebook page and decided to give it a whirl, and I’m so glad I did! It’s amazing!!!

Would give zero stars if possible. Ordered when they opened and they delivered 1 hour 20 minutes late!! Lied twice on the phone saying on its way and hung up the third time. Order was wrong and short. Food mediocre at best. They have now been late three times in a row getting worse each time. AVOID AVOID - you will be hungry and disappointed. Will never use again

Lovely takeaway food, well flavoured, good cuts of meat. No faults at all. (Just beware the yellow tumeric stains white formica table tops :-/).

We ordered a take away by internet. Told to collect at 1800. I arrived on time and so did the food. Various types of food in order and all eas spot on. Really enjoyable. Would recommend

Ordered a takeaway at 7pm tonight for delivery, at 9pm we called to find out where it was, they said they could no longer deliver. No apology. Very disappointed. Would no longer recommend

Probably the worst Indian I have ever experienced and i was held captive for a year in Mumbai against my own will while on my travels around the world. Ordered a delivery, waited an hour past original delivery time to be abruptly told like a naughty school boy that 'there is a problem with delivery you come collect. On arrival waited another hour while food was being prepared so the earlier information was obviously a lie. This is the third time I have ordered from the business and I will eat from the rubbish bin in the park before I eat from this place again. Absolutely useless. 1 star is a bonus for them.

A warm welcome in a lovely family-run local restaurant. Prices very reasonable. Take your own wine. The dishes tend towards the spicy side so choose korma or pasanda if heat is not your thing. Dansak and the veg side dishes very nice. If you need service, ring the bell as they obviously have young children to see to as well as front of house and cooking.

Great food but not sure they really know their prices very well as they seem to keep changing by a couple pound other than that really nice place.

We only had a take away meal but for a place chosen at random it was delicious and of good size. Would recommend.

After a busy day thought we would pop into Papadom for evening meal. The service was excellent and couldn’t be faulted. The selection of dishes is excellent and all the food we ordered was superb. All the family including three kids were extremely happy with a lovely meal. Definitely worth returning to.

Went there with my fiance to have a nice meal. Unfortunately the place was deserted and when I walked in I didn't feel welcome, no background music just dead silent.When food was served it was good but not great. Also upon ordering, we then found out that they did not have an alcohol license which is unusual for a restaurant. Soda drinks were poured from cans into glasses which I found very unprofessional.After finishing we stood at the counter and waited for a substantial amount of time before the man came out for the bill.Overall, poor atmosphere, average food.

Had a quick bit to eat here tonight. Food was ok. Price was good. Lamb did not taste very fresh. Garlic nan, Sag aloo was good.

I ordered a take away meal from Papadom this evening, the delivery was prompt, the order was all correct, the food piping hot and very very tasty. Probably the best Indian I've had in a long time. Well defiantly be using/going again.

The restaurant is run by Manic and his wife. All food is cooked fresh to order and with prior notice dishes of your own choice will be prepared. Food is excellent quality and nothing is too much trouble. It is bring your own alcohol, however there are supermarkets within a few minutes walk. Also take-away is available as well as for the at home meal, home delivery is available.

Not too keen. Last time we went it was freezing cold and no other customers came in. I'd recommend the take away as the food is lovely.

We ordered a meal about 2 weeks ago which turned up cold and was so oily and flavourless. We complained by phone and was told the next time we ordered we would get a complimentary meal each free. 45 minutes after the given time it turned up, cold, really oily again and had no flavour other than being really dry and over spiced!! We will never go back here again and would not recommend to anyone. Terrible place with no cooking skills whatsoever!!

I have had to set up a Trip Advisor account to write about the best Indian I have ever had!! The food is absolutely amazing and all of the staff here are so welcoming and friendly. Me and my partner have tried several Indians around the West Country and this is without a doubt our favourite with absolutely no competition!! The guys here deserve all of the credit in the world for the fantastic service and food they provide daily!!! We travel over half an hour regularly for the outstanding food. Definitely would recommend to anyone who enjoys a brilliant Indian!! Great value for money too!!

Tickety-Boo is a café and children's play area. I took my granddaughter (3 years old) to the play area on Sunday and was surprised how nice it was - good coffee too. The cafe has about 20 tables - orders taken at the counter and delivered to the table.

The restaurant was untidy and very dirty with napkins and empty glasses left on the table after pepple had long left the restaurant. The toilet door was absolutely filthy The food was also terrible - overcooked slop and each dish was almost without any flavour. The food had obviously been reheated because the potatoes were cold in the middle. Service was almost non existent even though the restarant was virtually empty. This is a really terrible restaurant

Always a friendly service, big portions and excellent food at good prices! My family's been coming here for over 8 years. I recommend the bhuna!

Great local take away. Never eaten in but good value take away, nice food, not amazing but perfect Friday night lazy grub. Huge portions.

I love this place, owned and run by a lovely family, a warm smile and firm hand shake greet you every time you walk in. Food is always good and hot, never in the last 6 years of using this place have we ever ever had a problem of any kind.
