Papa John's pizzas are absolutely delicious! The crust is perfectly crisp and fluffy, and the toppings are always fresh and generous. Each bite is full of flavor, especially with their amazing garlic dipping sauce. The cheese is melted perfectly, and the pizza always arrives hot and fresh. Their quick and friendly service makes the experience even better. Highly recommended!

Ordered a pizza before 7pm on a Friday night, 2 hours and 6 unanswered phone calls later we gave up and assumed we weren’t going to get our food. The pizza never arrived but have still been charged. Don’t bother ordering from here.

To be frank, this establishment may have received some unfavorable reviews, but I must say the pizza here is surprisingly delicious. They primarily serve thick-crust pizza as their standard option, which doesn't quite measure up to a great pizza in my opinion. I'd suggest trying their thin-crust pizza instead. You won't have to endure lengthy waits due to the negative reviews.

We ordered last night, at 10pm, at 10:56 we received an email advising there was a problem with the order and to contact the store. Of course nobody answered our calls at that time as the store was due to close. So now we have been charged and received no food! Absolutely disgusting.

Ordered from here a couple of times and both were a disaster. Waiting over 2 hours for delivery, no one cares on the other side of the phone, kept being palmed off and told that the driver will be 5 minutes, every time I rang. Food came cold. I would avoid.

My food was delivered an hour after the app said it had been delivered. The food was literally stone cold, and inedible. The reason for ordering was for the ice cream and that was missed from the order. The driver said he would return in 10 minutes but never did. I will be instructing my bank to get the money back as all the food went in the bin. THE WORST FOOD DELIVERY I HAVE HAD IN ALL MY LIFE.

Awful service accept deliveries even when they’re not open. Dont cancel on deliveroo show it shows there’s going to be a delivery. It’s 10.45pm I ordered at 6.40pm and only now did it just say delivered which is a lie. Don’t order from here. They should be shutdown. I’m still awaiting a refund. The restaurant has gone awol.

As everyone else has said, the service here is terrible, as with others my order was marked out for delivery but still hadn't arrived over an hour later. Phoned the shop 3 times, each time I was told the driver was "moments away" he wasn't. When it eventually turned up, the driver had driven with my order to Bollington and back even though my house is 2 minutes from the shop in Macclesfield. Never again.

Ordered a XXL pizza on the Pappa John's website for delivery. All OK with this and attractive 'deals'. I also ordered a bottle of Diet Pepsi. Things went downhill from there... ...Pappa John's website has a facility to track your order which I thought was useful. Unfortunately it is not accurate, as it stated my pizza had been delivered and advised me to 'Enjoy'... ....only the pizza didn't arrive for another 20 minutes. The driver was pleasant enough when he got the order out of the boot of his car. I got handled full fat Pepsi and when I said I ordered Diet, he said they were out of stock, so basically 'tough' The pizza could only be politely described as absolutely atrocious. It was cold, the crusts was 1.5 inches wide and the toppings (which I paid extra for!!!) were very, very sparse. I would say they were trying to use the same amount of toppings for a small or medium pizza for an XXL to save costs. It was made even more appetising that the chilled Pepsi had been put on top so what little cheese there was, was then stuck to the lid of the box! Probably why it was cold too! Taste was not great and certainly not the usual Pappa John standard. Don't waste your money or think you are getting a good deal because you aren't! Absolute rubbish! If I could give it a zero rating for everything, I would!

Don’t even know where to start with this nightmare place, waited 2 hours for a margarita pizza and a chicken wrap. It said on the app that the pizza had been delivered to my address way before it even left the shop, I’ve also read in other reviews the same happened to them so maybe management need to have a look into this as the staff are clearly lying that the food is delivered when they haven’t even sent it out, after ringing several times I finally decided to drive to the shop to be met with the delivery driver outside on my road looking extremely puzzled although my address really isn’t difficult to find. He then proceeds to dump his bag containing the order on top of my car bonnet and starts to empty the food onto my car. I then tell him to take the bag off my car and he just looked at me like I was speaking another language. I’m not sure if these workers in this restaurant even understand basic English but I’m not sure they should be working here if not as now we have several issues due to the language barrier, as expected due to all the other complications the food delivered wasn’t even the correct order and when I rang to tell them this they couldn’t even understand that and we spent around 30 minutes on the phone listening to complete gibberish so in the end we had to stick with the wrong order as the workers couldn’t understand us to get this resolved and quite frankly would of wasted away if I had to wait another 2 hours. Not sure what’s going on with this restaurant but I would suggest new staff as this seems to be the biggest problem.

One Star as I am Unable to give lower. Ordered a pizza on a Thursday eve at 8:15pm, rang at 9:05pm to be told it was leaving in next 5 mins even though app had said delivered 20 Mins previously. Still sat here at 10pm with no Pizza and yet they have taken my money!! Rang over 20 Times and no reply an d still no food! Avoid at all Costs!!!!

Tracker updated to "delivered" when it hadn't left the shop, after 20 mins needed to call to check. Ordered and paid for a bottle of soft drink which wasn't delivered. Flagged with driver who didn't care and never bothered to say sorry or bring us what we paid for. Getting a takeaway shouldn't be as difficult as it from here. And it isn't the first time.. but it is the last.

Order 2 hours late still hasn’t turned up… they don’t pick up the phone. Honestly just wouldn’t bother go somewhere else you will get your food faster (you will actually get your food). For a franchise you would expect a more reliable service. I live 5 mins from the restaurant, it’s confusing how delivery can be so poor.

Food is good but the service is dreadful. Lucky to receive an order within an hour, record has been about 2hr40 mins. Also not unusual not to be able to fulfil order as requested.

Absolutely awful. The three cheese garlic bread didn’t have a sniff of cheese on if. The only thing it it was drenched in was margarine. The fold over pizza thing was such a let down. Again dripping in oil and grease. I will not be ordering again it’s really wasn’t good at all.

I collected a pizza here last week the guy in store was rude and I arrived when the app said the pizza was ready. On arrival the guy told me it would be 15 mins more which made me late back to work. I told him this and he didnt seem bothered. I complianed to their head office and got sent a voucher for a free large pizza. Roll forward to tonight when i used the voucher and about 40 mins after i placed the order i get a call from the same rude guy asking for money to deliver the pizza wanting cash! I wont go back here even if I was paid to go back.

But disappointed tonight…ordered a pizza costing £19…the pizza arrived within an acceptable time span…however the pizza was tepid…not hot at all…some of the topping was source too…a lot of money, bit disappointing really!

Absolutely god-awful, food cold when eventually arrived, had two haircuts in the time waiting it took that long! Used to be really good but has plummeted in quality and customer service would be non league if in football terms. May as well shut up shop now and use the premises to house the homeless over winter, at least it would benefit society instead of being a black hole of lies that you receive from the non description voice on the papa John's phone line who plucks numbers out of thin air when deciding on when the food is arriving, better chance of winning the euro millions! This is the second time I have questioned my sanity in reordering from this debacle of an organisation. Shame on you. Definitely give up the day job.

Horrendous, ordered a pizza for the children with an estimated delivery time of 20 to 30 minutes. Actually took nearly 2 hours. Pizzas cold. Whatever happened to fast food because this certainly isn't. I will never use again. Awful. Ps they also got the order wrong!

Updated from 3 star to 2 after today's order. I stupidly thought they may have sorted out their act (been a while since I last came here but a lot of others don't offer much choice for dairy free other than Vegan so figured I would try again). Left things off order again!! Told to wait 20mins and then 10mins when called again! It was well over an hour before they delivered the bits they missed off - by which time pizzas were cold. Seriously poor form! They did bring extra bits including a pizza as an apology but it's still not great when that has happened many times over already (in total we're on five errors now!). Such a shame as it was great once. For apology I would give the effort a 4 as we didn't even demand anything but the things we paid for, but the damage has been done already when you add this experience to all the others! It is this effort that boosts them to a two instead of the one I believe they deserve overall. Old three star review: Always leave bits off order (like additional sauces) and today found my order delivered to the wrong house even though my number was clearly on the boxes (as well as missing a dip as per usual). Good job I have honest neighbours who brought it over straight away. Pizza okay but getting fed up with mistakes as seems to be a thing (not the one off I had hoped it was).

I am very disappointed in the product I have been served. The pizza was almost tasteless, with thin crust which I did not order and loads of grease, overall not worth the money and I will not be ordering again.

Piping hot and really fresh, tasty and great value. Beats any other pizza places in Macclesfield by miles. Chicken wings were especially excellent, highly recommended!

Over 90 mins for pizza delivery. Will never order from them again as this has now happened twice.

One hour later I'm still waiting for my pizza. They don't even answer the phone when you try to track down your order. Do not order. I'm not even sure my pizza will arrive, if it does will most likely be cold. Stay away.

Over an hour after ordering our food is nowhere to be seen, I’ve chased up with the restaurant 4 times and have been told it’s ‘5 minutes away’ it’s been 58 mins now. Very shoddy for a big company like Papa Johns. I prefer dominos anyway and I’ll be going there next time! Also think it’s terrible customer service to say that it’s delivered on the app tracker when it clearly isn’t here. Dishonest and frustrating.

I used to really like this place but the delivery times have been terrible the last few times I've ordered. My order this week arrived 90 minutes later than the booked time and about half an hour after it was marked as delivered. No answer from the shop when we phoned. The driver was lovely, not her fault at all, and the pizza was tasty, even though cold. They just need to get their deliveries sorted and this would go back to being great.

Have used papa John's a few times during lockdown and never been very satisfied. On one occasion a vegan pizza ordered with extra vegan cheese was even sent out with dairy cheese on! Anyway, last visit, 2 pizzas, 2 sides and a drink were ordered. Both pizzas were ordered with extra toppings, which were clearly not put on, and the wrong drink (a sugar free one when a full sugar version had been paid for) was sent. Lastly the sides were stone cold on arrival. Extra toppings that have been paid for seem to be consistently missed off the orders and food is often cold. After several times of this happening I will no longer be ordering from them.

Ordered £40 worth of pizza, ordered 1 pizza without cheese and pizza bites, the bites came without pepperoni or cheese, the pizza came with the cheese , they took another hour to rectify and resend made correctly. They didn’t even give us an apology and we were even asked to return the pizza they’d sent in error. You’d think they would have just let us keep it for the inconvenience. Won’t ever order again from here

Delicious pizza & cauliflower wings with buffalo sauce! I ordered via the app, with a create your own, but missed ticking the sauce base, macc restaurant phoned me to check this was correct, how grateful was i! It was an oversight! The best pizza place in Macc! Domino's and pizza hut doesn't compare! Especially to the stuffed crust! Fantastic service, great offers and quick delivery! All staff and drivers extremely polite and friendly! Certainly recommend over any other takeaway in Macclesfield.
