I ordered a pizza through just eat with special instructions, the order was confirmed which indicates they read they instructions. Pizza turns up completely wrong and cold. Chicken pooppers in broken seal box, called the take away to ask for a new pizza as ordered. Guy tells us nothing I can do and refuses any help. My husband asked to speak to the manager only to be told he was indeed the manager (I think not) we asked for his name to which he refused then hung up mid conversation. Absolutely disgusting customer service will never use again.

Having ordered at this store before had no complaints tonight’s episode was unbelievable poor customer service and pizza that looked like it had been thrown about. Delivery came prompt and on sitting down to tuck in and looking forward to it we revealed the 4 boxes we all not correct with the food we order having another customer stickers on. Rang the store to tell them prompted by an “o s##t obviously BL4 home had our meal, driver came back thinking he’d just swap the boxes over “u joking” food cold so rang store and virtually had a spat with the store, demanded the food be re-cooked and delivered again. Seriously on the phone for ten minutes trying to get this result.......no wonder your scores are poor.......even in a pandemic I still am a customer-paying money for a service and expect decent food.....lost my custom

I’m just going to keep this short and sweet. Pizza arrived cold, way too much tomato purée, quality of the pizza was very poor. I’m not even angry, just hugely disappointed. Avoid at all cost

This restaurant needs to be shut down because you literally have the worst service I’ve experienced in my life & ive rang at least 15 times now cos you’re over 2 hours late with my order & I want my money back! LEARN TO ASNWER THE PHONE! Why have it if you don’t ever answer it

We got the 'free'pizza for starting college and ended up still having to pay. The portion size of my cheesy bacon tots was a unreal amount for 6 pounds considering there was only ten and the bacon was ham. The pizza was okay but for its regular price of 17 pounds it is not worth it and should be avoided at all cost. 8 slices is all I get. 6 wings were put in the box. Overall I'm not happy with my first time experience and will not be ordering from here again. Word of advice just go to dominoes much more worth your money then here.

Never been here before and will never go again!!!!! Waited Over an hour and a half for the food to be delivered, tried ringing 4 times and had no answer, food EVENTUALLY came and was absolutely stone cold, the pizza tasted like cardboard, THE worst food I’ve ever TRIED to eat, ended up throwing it in the bin and treated my taste buds to a pot noodle, what a joke of a place for the prices they charge!!

The food tastes fine but it is ALWAYS late. The tracker they provide shows the food has been delivered and it will take upwards of half an hour after this for the food to actually arrive.

It took over 3 hours for my order to arrive. Rang the restaurant 3 times, on each occasion the employee told me it will be there in a minute. It even said my order had been delivered on their order tracker, when I rang up again the employee didn't sound bothered. Looks like they did this to cover their backs. Gave up once the restaurant closed at 11PM and made a case with PayPal. Gone 11.30PM my order arrived cold and soggy. Had to resolve my claim with PayPal. All this for a pizza, so much stress and worry. I should sue your company for negligence. What a ridiculous experience for ordering one pizza. Never again in my life will I be ordering from such a poorly run establishment. No communication from any of the staff making the food, and the delivery driver looked like he couldn't be bothered.

I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. It says 25-40 mins for delivery, it’s been well over an hour and my food isn’t even here yet. My partner is about to leave home for night shift without eating because the food still hasn’t turned up. Just ridiculous. Not only that I was told to order online after ringing up to place order and the offer I was told I would get from ordering online wasn’t even an option! Never ever ordering from here again. Ridiculous

Worst takeaway I have ever had. I have ordered 3 times. The first time took 90minutes to arrive & forgot items, they therefore said they would put a note on for our next order and we would get a free side as an apology. The second time they said there wasn’t a note and could not honour what was previously said, when this order arrived they also forgot items again! 3rd time the food was so dry and cold & my bbq pizza didn’t have any bbq sauce on it! Absolutely terrible. Should be closed down. Avoid please!!

Ordered from here quite regularly over the last year or so but the last few times have made me decide not to use them again. Ordered in September for someone's birthday and paid for extra dip, wasn't delivered with the rest and when I told the delivery driver he patronised me and then told me there was nothing he could do as it was the last delivery of the night. He also said I could mention it at the next order and I'd get the dip then, but didn't bother in the end. Ordered again last night and paid for 2 extra dips, these again did not arrive. Boyfriend phoned the restaurant and mentioned it was the second time it's happened, received no apology and instead was made to feel like a nuisance just for asking for something we PAID for. The dips don't cost much but it's not the point - it wasn't a tip, it was a purchase. The employee who answered the phone told us he could get the delivery driver to bring the dips round but he didn't know when it would be as there was only one driver. This meant I couldn't enjoy my meal because I had to keep one ear out for the door and couldn't settle down properly. And guess what? The driver didn't even come! Realised after 2 hours of waiting that they probably just hadn't bothered to send them. Very POOR! Can't even find a link for complaints on the website, only a link for the customer service details, which you can't even access without agreeing to share additional personal data with them! I've now paid for 3 dips and not received them and recieved poor customer service instead. Also, we had to cut the pizza ourselves as whoever did it at the restaurant seemingly couldn't even be bothered to do that properly. Not fantastic for £40 worth of food. Unless something is done to rectify this I will NOT be using Papa John's again.

This was the most diabolical fast food experience we have ever had. Ever. We placed the order online and screenshot our order number. However, we didn't receive the confirmation email. Thinking this wasn't a problem because we'd got our order number and had seen our payment had left my account, we thought the order was placed. My daughter went into the shop to collect the order and returned without our food 10 minutes later virtually speechless at the way she had been treated. I accompanied her back to the shop to receive exactly the same treatment as she had. The young female member of staff behaved literally in the most disgusting way telling us that we couldn't have our order because there was a problem with their system and if we hadn't received a confirmation email we couldn't have our food. I, as my daughter had, showed her our order number and also showed her my banking app to demonstrate the payment had been made. She flatly refused to give us our food without the confirmation email, despite her having acknowledged it was a fault with THEIR system! She wouldn't let me speak, she kept eye rolling, butting in, and being thoroughly rude. Her older colleague then joined the conversation and was much much better but the younger one kept butting in, talking over us, arguing with my young daughter, and accusing us of screaming and lying!!! It was only after protestation and others coming into the shop and complaining of the same issue that the manager was called. We had to wait 20 minutes for them to arrive. The manger did give us the option to wait for our food or a refund, but we chose a refund out of principle and disgust at the utterly appalling behaviour of the young female member of staff. Utterly disgusted. To add insult to injury, and although the male staff did his best to diffuse his colleague's behaviour, he had some kind of nasal infection where thick deep green mucous could be seen running from his nose which he repeatedly touched and 'mopped up' whilst talking to us. Hence, another reason for our choice to have a refund. The Bolton Bradshawgate branch ranks as THE worst fast food experience ever in our view. Utterly utterly appalling.

Ordered pizza last Thursday xl all the meats small pizza arrived with not my order so sent it back with delivery man .said someone would ring me after 2. Hrs still no call so rang back at 22.40 said they would send me one out said that was no good as going bed so person on phone said next time you order can have same again free . So guess what rang again so called manager says sorry can’t do that .joke of a place even gave 3 pound tip head office it is

Ordered from here last night and got the 2 side and 2 xxl pizza for 30, With drinks on top this order came to £35. I usually order from Pizza Hut and dominos and the sides are still very undercooked and not great but this was another level. I ordered the bacon and cheese wedges and they where hard white and bland. The pizzas themselves pepperoni and mixed meats where thick and tasteless. I have never had a papa Johns before and I can say it’s my first and last time. This review is no reflection on the staff they where polite and on time.

The pizza’s were tasteless and couldn’t even carry on eating it what a waste of money!!! We definitely won’t be ordering again.

Let me start from the beginning. I called the shop and asked for chicken pizza. I had specifically mentioned I need a chicken pizza and please suggest one. A lady suggested chicken bbq pizza and I went to collect my pizza, after coming home I saw there was bacon in it. When I called them again they said they can't change my pizza so I went to shop again. When I explained to this lady ( said she is manager Alex) kept blaming me for the mistake and didn't even listen to what I was trying to tell her. She straight away asked me to leave the shop and said she will not listen to me as it your mistake! Comeone man... I had specifically said pizza with only chicken, was it not her responsibility to inform me about the ingredients in the pizza while suggesting pizza? I was insulted straight away. Very rude treatment. Never coming back and I wil make sure I tell all my people to never go again to this place. Thanks you so much..

received a voucher from bolton store as we have shop in market place , tried to order using the voucher and was basically told no you cant . was looking forward to trying my first pap johns guess ill be sticking to dominos

Have had repeated problems with Papa johns at Bolton.

There was this offer saying 1 pizza free on buying 1.One guy was taking my order at the shop and he messed up my order. Got just 1 pizza for me. On asking for other pizza he raised his voice and he was very rude to me. This is totally unacceptable. A lady came to apologise,and helped me, however I was waiting for this guy to apologise me which he didn't. We don't come there to pay around £14 and get ourselves insulted.

There was very little toppings on the pizza it was all dough, won’t be ordering again.was told it had been delivered when it had not. Also took over an hour to get here

So ordered 2 large pizzas at 8pm an hour and a half later i had to ring to find out where it was 15 mins later it arrived! If thar was dominos i was ordering from it would of been with me within half an hour fresh, hot and perfect. This was not it was dry, taste less and well i asked for chicken on my pizza where was that! Glad i had an offer of 50% off because if i had paid £40 for that i would of gone back and told them what to do with it. I managed to eat 1 piece it was that disgusting! As the title states first and LAST EVER order.

First used this pizza takeaway about 2 years ago thought it was the best ever. Last night I think the pizza we had might just be the last ever we order from Papa Johns in Bolton. We ordered three pizzas, 2 garlic breads and chicken wing sides. After an hour we had to call to Find Out what was happening, it arrived about 15 minutes after the call, just before 9pm. All food was cold. Each pizza was overcooked so that the cheese was burnt and dry. The edges of the pizza Bread had turned up and the pepperoni was burnt to dry and had also turned upwards. The ham and pineapple with Extra mushrooms came with 7 bits of mushroom and was tasteless. In hindsight I should have boxed them back up and drove straight into town. But at this stage you are tired and hungry and just get on with it.

Wish I had read the reviews first before ordering.Will just stick with dominos next time.Pizzas cold, too doughy and bland.Potato wedges not cooked and hard. It's not cheap so expected better.

I was a little dubious about using a newish take away for home delivery as I live in a rather difficult to find place in terms of GPS / maps and often have delivery drivers ringing unable to find where I live, even with directions! I figured I would take the risk as I was keen to try Papa Johns since it opened in Bolton.

Took an hour and a quarter to arrive. This was 20 minutes after the app said we should "tuck-in".

If you are thinking of a delivery from Papa John's then please make sure you're prepared for a looooooong wait. My first, and last, experience took nearly two hours to arrive. Trying to get through on the phone to them six times to find where the order was (as allegedly it had been 'on the road' according to their app for fifty minutes - it's a five minute drive) led to the phone ringing with no answer. By this time everyone was famished and resolving never to use the company themselves.

Very tasty, delivery always on time and can order on line and pay in cash at door if you want to. Never had a poor one and you can have half and half

nice pizzas but too similar to donimoes. nice when family get to gether but a little expensive so watch out for flyers with offers.

Better than your average pizza place the family particularly like the cinnamon apple flavoured pudding. delivery service is also great fast and friendly service

This is the first time that I've tried papa johns and I had heard good things, I ordered a large half Mexican and half the works pizza. The Mexican half was edible but pretty bland and the works side was disgusting, it was just a big sloppy mess and stunk of what can only be described as semen. I then noticed in the corner of my pizza box there was a green chilli the size of my big thumb? I'm still trying to work out the reason for this? Was it some sort of sick game the pizza boy plays on customers, who knows? I thought I'd dip my pizza into the garlic dip to mask the stench and taste but that also tasted rancid!! I'll never order from these cowboys again!!!

Stick with the other chains, used papa johns in the states, completely different over here, poor tomato base, questionable fillings, and they make you pay extra for the dipping sauce? Really.....Give your head a wobble papa john.
