Papa Johns Pizza in Wealden

Put an order in at 10am Which i gave them 12 hours to process my order because lets face it, It isn't rocket science cooking food for my family. 12 o clock arrived and still nothing no one answering the phone finally i had a delivery driver asking me to call back in an hour because he doesn't know how to cook pizzas nor does he know how to refund money. My order has been "sat" in the system for over 90 minutes without confirmation. So basically they are not only robbing people they can't even provide or get out of bed for the service they provide. So question is if they can't get out of bed and do a job. Why is it still in the highstreet. Wondering if these are because they are brain dead. Put in complaints to papa johns because they have no phone numbers for their own customer services department...... Simple question is at least with domino's you aren't dissapointed you get what you get. This place its best you stay the hell away. And as i was the only customer.. My exptations are that this should be hot not look like the rest of the offerings that are on this site. Update after 3 hrs no response after saving my phone number. No calls. And Then no delivery. It was processing then it stopped. I guess they really haven't a freaking clue how to run a business. I Used to love papa johns but they can sod that

Ordered from there hailsham branch took over hour and half to arrive was stone cold items missing from order. Promised a refund for missing items never happened on the bright side they are closing down due to poor trafe but I can see why.

The service was fine actually but we were disappointed with the toppings on the pizza. Hardly any cheese and 10 pieces of pineapple on a large pizza, not even one per slice!

Very irresponsible staff working in hailsham unit . I orders pizza on January 12th 2024 and order cancelled due to their delivery issues so I was promised that they would refund it straightaway but nothing happened and I called them total 4 times for the refund still not received finally I had to send a letter before court claim to receive my refund proceed today . I have asked hailsham unit manger to send me an apology letter and still waiting for it if not received still the case will be filed for a compensation -so crooked people and not trustworthy !!!

I'm not very adventurous with pizzas just had 2 cheeses and onion, with garlic slices. But it was Ok. First time here. I like the tracker on the website to take you through the stages until ready to collect. Also the stand put in middle to stop the box touching. Was ready quick.

Ordered a pizza, got a call saying that their drivers hadn't been paid so couldn't deliver. Asked me to collect, I said no and asked for a manager. I was then told that their manager had left the precious day and they could only offer a refund. Joke of a store.

Ordered from Papa Johns in Hailsham on Monday, chose the Chicken club Pizza from the menu, Both my partner and myzelf thoroughly enjoyed it, so we ordered again this evening. The food was absolutely fantastic and also piping hot. From the person taking the order to the young man that deluvered our food was perfect from start to finish. would normally order from other pizza outlets but not any more. Give them a try you wont be dissapointed.

Me and some friends ordered a pizza to collect and it was baked incredibly quickly and the costumer service was amazing I believe it was a girl named charlotte, was very polite well monored and very help full and the food tasted amazing.

I came in to collect an order I placed over the phone and was pleasantly greeted by one of the staff, the atmosphere was positive and it was clean in the dining area and in the kitchen from what I could see of it. The food was ready when i arrived and was warm and cooked perfectly. The order was made perfectly and tasted perfect, the staff were happy and made light conversation as I was collecting my order. Very pleasant experience and I will be going back in the future 10/10!!!!

EDIT: I gave them a second chance and in the interests of fairness, I have updated my review. 2nd time round was much better in terms of speed and quality. Still not perfect as the sides were starting to get cold when we got them but the pizza was piping hot with good coverage in terms of toppings. Not a fan of the garlic dip, it's like eating raw butter. What a joke, see for yourself. Ordered half and half of The Works and All The Meat and see what I recieved... Two of the slices are essentially just cheese. All The Meat? Took ages to arrive too, sides were cold and pizza wasn't the hottest. Driver forgot the drink too, but did come back with it. Do yourself a favor, go to Domino's.

My experience with papa johns Hailsham was one of the best I’ve experienced so far. Their quality and time management for my food was impeccable compared to others I’ve had. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly when I walked in always smiling and being polite. Really enjoyed my visit. Would definitely come again

Glad to see this shop has turned itself around about 4 months ago I would of stayed clear Now I order multiple times in the week Shop is extremely clean Food is perfect Staff work hard and are friendly Delivery drivers are spot on Very impressed I highly recommend ordering from here

I ordered for myself and my girlfriend, first time we have ordered and we’re pleasantly surprised! When we came to collect it, it was ready and waiting for us, and still hot when we arrived home. The service was lovely, very friendly stuff and the place look immaculately clean, which was really good to see! All in all a great experience!! Thank you guys:)

Needed a large order for a cricket tour, called to enquire in advance and they were super helpful, even called back to say they could also give us drinks and dips as an extra for the large order. Ordered for a specific time and everything was ready to collect. Even helped take the order to my car. Couldn't have been more helpful and friendly!

Walked in and felt welcomed straight away, staff were polite and informative, helped me decide. Waited for 15 min and food was absolutely delicious! Definitely would recommend for a lunch or dinner! 😋

I ordered a chicken and pesto with no mushroom pizza which tasted grate a bit greasy but as a chefs I now the garlic base is the 2 staff that I Spock to to Whear very nice and friendly will 100% will be going thear again

Don't take cash. First order was rubbish and they didn't have one of the sides that I ordered. It was also deliver over an hour late. Manager gave me money off the next order, but this time I decided to collect. That's when I found out they don't take cash. Second order was just as bad as the first

Two large pizzas, paid nearly £50 and my wife and I have been Ill all weekend. It is the only thing that we both ate on Friday. Toppings were few and far between and it arrived luke warm at best. Never again.

Waited an hour for our pizza to find it was cold, tasted like cardboard and there was hardly any filling on it, will never deviate from domino's ever again!!!!!

Food took over 3 hours to arrive and dough was raw in the middle. Certainly won't be coming back.

Ordered delivery at 9:10 and says will be delivered at 10:10. Then somehow made me waited til 11:30 saying they are looking for riders, what’s funny is that they decided to close the shop with my pizza made and cancel the order.

Cold & soggy, not what described.. 2 managers unwilling to refund for poor food.. the cutting and checking stage took over 32 minutes. Just order with Domino's don't waste your time or money. *Update* after a month of chasing the company have failed to issue me a refund. DO NOT ORDER WITH THEM.

Like a piece of cardboard, dry as a bone, little to no flavour, rubbery cheese and just a total disappointment. Won't be making the same mistake EVER again, don't waste Ur time oh and your money.

Don't bother rude staff and appalling food even dog didn't eat it and the LITTLE chunk of girl behind counter who thinks it's funny ripping up c.vs when she's not eating all the pizza

Pizza tasted so bad I would consider eating a tin of dog food to get rid of the horrid taste. Was cold when served and chunky girl who's a manager there behind the till was very rude. Would not recommend

Pizzas are appalling. This is the 3rd time we’ve had a delivery. Cheese is not melted. More crust than pizza. Hasn’t been cut. Could’ve got one from Iceland than waste money here. Won’t be ordering from here EVER again. Someone needs to talk to the manager here

When you order and eat in there it's amazing every time delivery is still good but never as hot , much better than dominos

Ordered online before checking the reviews… Big mistake. Placed order at 6.50pm and delivered at 8.50pm. Phoned at 8.10pm to get an update and advised it was “heading out of the door as we speak”, 30 minutes later and still no delivery. Phoned back to then be advised it still hadn’t left the store! Obviously our food had been waiting in the store for over an hour. Delivered cold and inedible - despise wasting food but this has gone straight into the bin. Stick to Domino’s where you will get reliability and quality. Only positive I can share is we will be getting a refund.

Have only managed to get food from this place once, tasty but lukewarm at the most. The other times I’ve just given up. Extremely long waiting times, never answer the phone, and staff that look like they don’t even want to be there. To not even be acknowledged after walking in and waiting over 5 mins for someone to come to serve is ridiculous, not to mention they start taking your order and half way through check with someone else they were ok to take more orders! Response was a very cold no, not unless you want to wait over an hour! Do yourself a favour and go to dominoes!

Shocking service. I've called them to see what happened with my order and the lady said its normal because the system crashed and I have only one driver. I explained her nicely that her problem plus the food came all mixed and a bit cold. Not even saying that she will offer me a can of pepsi extra for the inconvenience absolutely nothing its normal to be that late. More then one hour and half for the order.

Order never arrived despite them telling us it was out for delivery. Called them again and they said they needed to make it. Waited well over two hours. Offered us store credit which we did not want. Absolutely shocking.

Quick delivery Ethan was our delivery driver who was very polite and helpful, really enjoyed the pizzas!

Ordered 30 mins in advance, wasn't told a time when it would be ready, when I turned up at the store no screen so had to ask. Lady was very polite but told me the same as she was telling everyone "it's just going in the oven" waited another 45 mins with other customers some that had been waiting much longer and were clearly getting agitated. . I'd give this place a 3 star if the pizza was good..but it wasn't. It was expensive, warm, and boring flavour. I know this store had only just opened so I'll give it another chance in a few months but for now I'll stick to domino's for fast food pizza. I must say though staff were friendly polite and professional, but somewhat overwhelmed.

Food was bland and barely any toppings

Order completely wrong - wrong sauce on base, missing toppings, wrong drink. Expected the hour wait for original delivery, but promised 15 mins for replacement pizza which didn't turn up until I called again nearly 90 mins later. An embarrassment to the brand.

Ordered at 16:42 on a Friday and food arrived piping hot at 17:20. Tastes great

Well over an hour for delivery , nobody answers the phone , when it did finally arrive it was warm at best , rubbish food for the money Dominoes wins hands down on all accounts, will not be using again anytime soon

Shocking service, Ordered a delivery at 5.15pm. Still waiting at 8.15pm. Had to go to the store to get money back as nobody answering phone. Also people walking into shop were getting priority and being told 15 mins. If you cant keep up with your current orders than what's the point of taking more orders and annoying even more customers. All about money 0% customer

Waited nearly 2 hours for something I wouldn’t even feed a dog was a load of rubbish the order was wrong aswel and nearly £7 for 6 wings ridiculous

Food took over an hour to be made let alone cooked no one picks up phones all in all don’t order if you actually want to eat your dinner at a normal hour!

So 2nd time ordering. . Food as always gd no doubting it. Delivery was alot better (alot better) still forgot the dips I no its a silly thing but I enjoy um n pay extra for them again was sorted after a phone call but no shouldn't have to. I should get what a pay for. Last time I did 7/10 this time 8/10. Maybe just look at the smaller detail it's OK o he wants a such n such pizza wicked but ur missin the lower stuff. O he wants such n such dip with the pizza..

Awful, lying about time frames for the pizza to be ready. Was told 20 mins and that turned into 2 hrs. If you order for collection then you need to tell them you’re there when you are for them to start making to food….. Awful. dominos does it so much better. So just remember don’t believe anything the employees say.

Absolute shambles. Refunded in store after 3hr wait.
