This pizza was nothing short of disgusting. The whole thing was soggy, couldn't pick up a piece without it falling apart. The first time in my life that I had to bin pizza. This is also coming from someone that like Papa John's, this one is just awful.

I am from Hong Kong and the taste they made is absolutely the same taste I did in Hong Kong!

Ordered online in the evening, but the order never arrived. I emailed the store and was ignored. Then 12 hours later it turns up the next morning. I phoned the store to request a refund and was flatly refused and told it was my fault. Dominos next time 🤷

Food arrived very cold, the pizza was pretty hard and chewy as well as not really having any marinara on it, staff told me I’d definitely get a refund and when they didn’t refund me and I called back, they blamed it on management and then told me the food wasn’t that bad and it wasn’t that deep. Complete waste of money.

Pizzas are often stone cold by the time they arrive, because for some reason it often takes 60-90 minutes between coming out of the oven and leaving the shop. Sides are often missing. Delivery drivers seem to think they can just park somewhere in the neighbourhood and then phone and expect you to wander around the street searching for them. When the pizza does arrive in a decent time it's great, but that seems to be an increasingly rare occurrence.

Ordered a pizza a month ago it arrived stone cold and with no base sauce on. Just bread and cheese. Called up and they said they would process a refund. It’s been a month now and no refund has been received. Every time I call up the staff are very rude and there’s never a manager in to talk to. They always say they will get a manager to call me back but the manager never calls back. Still waiting on my £40 refund

Waited for 2.5 hours for delivery. Didn't come. When I rang every time they said it was 10mins away.

Pizza was cold when it arrived 1 hour 20 minutes after I ordered it. If the Papa John’s app is to be believed, it was out of the oven a full hour before it was delivered. The journey from the store to my house is around 7 minutes, but according to the Papa John’s app, it was 30 minutes in transit. Not great. The pizza tasted OK once I’d reheated it, but I hadn’t planned on ordering cold pizza.

I never received my order and have been asked to ask for a refund from the restaurant

My order was supposed to be here by 22:40. It’s 22:46 still nothing. Tried to contact the restaurant and no reply. A touch disappointed don’t think will order again

I placed an order with Papa Johns Cheltenham Road at 18:10. There were no updates so I called at 18:48 and they advised they will be on the way. At 19:07 (an hour after we ordered) we received a call to ask for directions, we explained clearly the options and suggested looking up the postcode. We even offered to meet at an alternative place if was struggling to find us, he did not deliver until: 19:28 still after much confusion from the driver and us waiting on a main road for over 20 minutes. This was an unacceptable time to wait and completely unprofessional given that we have never had issues with previous orders in the past being delivered to our address, so we couldn’t understand why it was so difficult. Our food was cold when it arrived and it was really disappointing. What made the matter WORSE was that we ordered a garden party and a veg feast, they put MEAT on our pizza, we are pure vegetarian and this was shocking I called the branch and they said ‘we will try to send you a pizza’ ‘we will try to give you a refund’- this is not good enough. It’s been nearly 2 hours since we ordered and this has been a complete mess.

Coming from India, I was not a huge fan of thick crust pizzas but Papa John's surprised me. Their pizzas were extremely delicious and mouthwatering. We ordered 2 pizzas with half-half different toppings and they were good. We went there thinking we could eat from there but unfortunately only takeout was available. But still, it's a must visit pizza place.

The pototo tots are soggy and undercooked, they used to crunchy and delicious but now they look they only blanched them and forgot to finish cooking them. The barbecue chicken pieces are just the chicken pieces with a barbecue condiment thrown over them. Used to really enjoy the food from here but won't be ordering anymore.

Size and price let down completely....

This Papa John's is awful. Lets the franchise down with it's greasy food that made me unwell afterwards. Would avoid given PJs is now a luxury at top end pizza/takeout prices. Staff also dismissive/unhelpful.

Got late delivery because their system was down

I order pizza but it not well cooked, they said they will send another but when i got its the same not cooked white cheesee same on the top not cooked very disappointed, i every time used to order but jow very disappointed.

Ordered online no food delivered after 2 hours. Was told twice it was literally two minutes away. Was offered a full refund which was never given. By the time my food arrived i was going to ed not in the mood for pizza ended up wasting it. Still waiting for my refund

Utterly vile. If you imagine Domino's taking the cheapest possible ingredients for both the pizza base and the toppings, this is the pizza you would end up with. Disgusting!

Never tried before Papa Johns pizza so I didn't know what to expect but the delivery which I've got classified this pizza as one of the worst which I ever had in my life. Greasy with cheap quality cheese pizza, not done on the stone, pre-made frozen dough. There was no taste which I will enjoy even for a second - I could just taste the awful cheap quality ingredients and grease everywhere. I've got 2 dips: garlic-herbs and "special garlic". Garlic herbs was just alright but "special garlic" was absolutely awful because it tasted like melted butter without any taste. I never had that awful sauce to anything what I ate in my whole life. The price is just ridicules. I know Papa Johns and other chain restaurants just need to be order with discount but nearly £15 for such a terrible experience?! The best pizzas in Bristol with the highest quality ingredients are cheaper than this and I was expecting higher level than just a cheap kebab pizza!

Nice as always. Good Vegan selection. Only pity is you can't get half half if chosing Vegan pizza, no idea why.

My favourite pizza is spiced beef. Normally I would order it from dominos, but decided to try papa johns instead. Worst mistake ever! The dough, cheese, peppers and onions were on point but there was no beef! These mofos had the fuquin cheek and nerves to charge me £21 for a spiced cheese an tomato pizza… I deserve a refund and you guys should be ashamed of yourself for duping customers like that!

Ordered a pizza, the tracking shows that it's been delivered, yet I didn't receive it! The driver didn't call or knock on the door. Tried calling the store but nobody is picking up the phone. Ridiculous service. Will be complaining further.

Very rude staff last night I was to pick up the order the guy start making fun of me and loughing talk to his friend in different languages and saying some words in his languages which is I don't understand I will never go again to this shop😡

Our curiosity was first peaked by the extensive media coverage of ex- CEO John Schnatter , Papa John' himself. Intrigued to sample the wonders that Papa may bestow on us, little did we know what horrors lay in store. The 'better ingredients, better pizza' slogan seems an inaccurate description of sugary dough, minimal marinara sauce resembling ketchup, congealed cheese and dips which are mostly sunflower oil. I can neither confirm nor deny Papa's claims the business has declined since he was shafted from it, as this was our first time sampling. But judging by the pizza's current standard, and the fact Papa is clearly mentally ill and a racist, I find it unfeasible the anything could fall so severely in quality to produce this dire an end result. The question to ask before ordering is, is £25 a price you are willing to pay for this absolute meme of a pizza? The entertainment value gained from how shocking it truly is some compensation. Just don't expect a pizza that even verges on being vaguely edible.

Food arrived almost 1 hour and half after ordering I had to call up to ask where it was Missed the additional sweet corn from the order that I paid for and also I ordered tango and got Pepsi max. Food was cold and dry like it had been sitting out. Overall really disappointed in the meal and time.

Lots of good vegan options! The vegan cauliflower wings are particularly good - the marmite tater tots are a little bit weird if you're not really into marmite, but delicious if you are. It's all also very cheap for how much you get, and doesn't take very long to be delivered from ordering.

Ordered a Chicken Club Pizza. What I received - cheese, chicken but no bacon, onions, fresh tomatoes or even a tomato sauce base. The single star is for delivery in 20 minutes, but they couldn’t have made, cooked and delivered it in that time. The customer complaint service was abysmal. My first, and last time using this rip-off joint. AVOID!!!

I ordered a Chicken Club Pizza but what I received had no tomato sauce base, no bacon, no onions nor fresh tomatoes. The single star is for the 20 minute delivery which, thinking about it, couldn’t have been achieved if they had prepared, cooked and drove to my place. The first and last time I will ever use. Abysmal customer complaint service too. AVOID THESE SHYSTERS.

The 1 Star is due to the pizza being hot and had a good flavour. The 2nd star is for the hard working driver that was extra kind and was doing everything he could in regards to the position they placed him in. Now, about the store, their customer service, and their way of working they deserve a BIG FAT ZERO . From what you can see in the images we had ordered at 18:57 and requested the Delivery for 21:15. We only got one email confirmation that the order went through and that was it. The time was 21:48 when the shop never picked up the phone even when i was on hold for 23minutes and 11 seconds. We were a minute away from ordering something from deliveroo when surprisingly the driver rang the door bell! He was very kind and apologised and explained that they only had 3 drivers and many orders. The shop should AT LEAST answer their phone and inform customers on their order status.

Papa John's is by far the best pizza compared to Hut and Domino's but its so expensive!

I thought Dominos was the bottom of the barrel, it turns out there's another level beneath and it's called Papa John's. It would be unfair to describe the vegan pizza we had as edible. The jackfruit pepperoni tasted like I imagine the toilet blocks in a urinal taste. We also had a non-vegan 'Garden Party' that seemed to have been topped with the frozen vegetable medley they serve at primary schools and old people's homes. In comparison to the other, we could at least eat this one. Purely for survival rather than any degree of pleasure. The garlic sauce tastes like warmed up margerine and the bbq was like some kind of chinese spiced slimy jam.

Never had Papa John pizza before, ‘‘twas not good. Had the Meat Lover and Hawaiian and they both tasted next to flavourless and somehow watery. Wouldn’t recommend ordering. Oh, and the ‘special garlic sauce’ is just a partially melted cup of butter with no flavour - the most vile sauce ever and I can’t imagine why any company would make it their signature sauce.

Delivery driver was incredibly rude and I didn’t even get my pizza! I got vegan ice cream even though I didn’t order vegan and I have tried to call on several occasions but no response!

Not answering phone, track doesn’t work

Absolutely awful. Track wouldn’t work. Rang the store 14 times for an hour. Someone picked the phone up, then hung up on me. Fuming, awful service.

Absolutely appalling, the app indicated my food came out the oven 55 minutes before delivery....it was stone cold upon delivery! Called the store 10 times, no answer!! Eventually drove to an empty store, cooking no pizza's... claiming to be to busy to answer the phone. POOR pizza, POOR customer service! Go to Dominoes!!!!

XXL was the perfect size of pizza for two of us to share (like an 11 inch pizza each, but better ratio of toppings to crust!). Loads of toppings on the Vegan Works, it did come with olives (like in the picture) even though the description didn't mention them. The vegan cheese was a little sticky but tasted great and I'd have it again. Delivered 10 minutes late but that'll teach us for not ordering until 7 on a Friday night.

Whatever and I mean whatever part of Papa John goes into his pizzas I'm all for it. Sooooo tasty and some ace vegan options.

They sent me a different person's order with this other persons name, address and phone number on the box and now they won't pickup the phone. I don't know if I'll get a refund and I'm now worried that some stranger has been given my name, address and phone number. Bad service, don't buy here.

It’s a joke. I ordered a pizza directly with them, it took one hour for me to get a call from the driver saying he couldn’t find my address. He hang up in the middle of the call and gave up on delivering the pizza. I tried calling the restaurant over 7 times and nobody picked up. Never buying with them again!!!

Accidentally gave us large pizzas instead of medium. We aint complainin!

I was impressed with the number of vegan options - thank you Papa John's! We enjoyed our pizza, it wasn't as hot as we would like though even though we tucked in straight away and it hadn't come too far - that's the main thing I'd hope would be improved for next time :-)

The worst service! Do not expect help in store or on the phone. ( they stop answering calls when they don't want to cook) The staff in store care zero about customer service. The LAST time I was in here the guy making the pizzas was more consumed with a phone call than anything else.

Delivery chap followed my insructions to the letter, and when his access was scuppered by my partner unaware she'd blocked his access he went above and beyond, well, round to the back garden and delivered the pizza in a cheerful manner. Nice.

Ordered from the store online almost two hours ago and the food is still not here yet. Multiple calls to the store was not picked up and reaching out to their social media page is futile as answers were not helpful at all or no reply was given. Don't ever order from this store unless you like waiting hours for your food.

The pizza was good but one of the orders was completely wrong, it was a vegetable pizza when we'd ordered a bbq meat feast. It was still nice and we ate it because we were hungry and it was late - just a bit annoying/disappointing when you pay over £20 for a pizza you didn't order

I had to wait 1 hour and 20 mins for a large but cold cheese pizza. I live 1 mile away. but couldn’t leave as my children were in bed. we ordered extra cheese that didn’t seem to have been included. after waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes I called the restaurant to ask what was going on. he knew who I was before I gave my name and told me my pizza would be there in 2-3 minutes. no apology. it then arrived cold and tasteless. no seasoning or even any effort at all had gone into this. order.. the pizza was poor. never again

Terrible customer service. Do NOT buy pizzas from here. Ordered online and arranged a delivery for 8.15pm. At 8.45pm no pizza had arrived. Called them several times and no-one answered the phone. Eventually, walked down there at 9pm to collect my pizza and given no apology or explanation. The staff clearly do not care about customers. Needless to say I will not be using Papa John's again!

Turnt up at 9:55pm and they were shut yet they are supposed to shut up 10:30pm on a Wednesday!
