A big bright and airy space. Even high up at the back there was no feeling of vertigo and we could hear and see well. It was good at the interval to be able to get out on the balcony to breathe some fresh air and look out over central Brizz. Very handy car park next door.

I had an absolutely amazing time. My review may be biased because of who we went to see, but the venue was excellent. Large floor infront of stage, lots of seating elevated around the back and sides. Ticket scanning was quick and easy. Bar downstairs with the most disappointing beer I have ever tried. But I didn't go for the beer, I went for the show and this place delivered.

Great venue, a proper old theatre with excellent all-round visibility and a great atmosphere. Access was well managed - good signage and none of the usual squash and squeeze on the way in or out. The toilet facilities were unisex - very slow and not helped by 1 of 5 cubicles and the disabled toilet being out of action. A mature audience for some classic rock, so very chilled.

We were impressed with the new layout of the theatre and we were even more impressed with the Cathedral Schools Trust 'Starbound' presentation that we went to see. You could not fault the dedication of the 450 school children and the input of all the music teaching staff to be able to produce such an inspiring concert. Our thanks to all involved.

As a venue, I have to say that Bristol Beacon is up there amongst the very best I have attended! Great venue, easy location, great condition of the facilities, fantastic concert hall (Even from the stalls), all in all, I loved it and can't wait to go back!! My only gripe (and the reason for the 4 stars not 5) is the cost of drinks - they were wildly overpriced - and charging £3 for a mixer to go with the already overpriced spirits? Just no... Not on...

Awesome venue for a fantastic gig (Dutty Moonshine) Really enjoyed ourselves and drove for 6 hours to be there! The only downside was an awful, jobs worth security guard who shouted at us for dancing beside our seats!! How dare we enjoy ourselves, a few feet from our seats, at a gig we paid to go to!! I wouldn't have minded if he'd been nice but he swore at me more than once and was just so unbelievably rude. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for him... Was almost 3 but Dutty were just so good 😂

I have attended most of the concerts in the Classical Season since the Beacon re-opened and often sit at the back of the stalls, in rows T to Z. During most performances, in the second half, the speakers emit constant static, ranging from white noise to a persistent tone resembling a not too distant fire alarm. As a result, when we are meant to hear the pure sound of a violin, it is accompanied by an intrusive beep. Similarly, when we are meant to enjoy the clarinet or moments of silence, the noise is present and disruptive. This issue is clearly audible and visibly irritates the audience, as heads often turn in search of the source of the sound. I am unsure whether this problem stems from a technical error or subpar equipment, but it is undoubtedly unacceptable.

Updated January 2025 - back for the latest season of concerts, doesn't fail to impress! The BSO have lots of great concerts, as well as some more visiting orchestras and soloists. As ever, would definitely recommend going to the pre concert talks by Jonathan James which really enhance the experience. // Original review Feb 2024The First time I've been here before the major renovations - mostly very impressed! It feels bigger in the auditorium now they've made less of an overhang on the first floor. We were too close to the front for optimum acoustic, but still very much enjoyed the Northern Sinfonia playing Rachmaninoff, Beethoven and Mozart. Have to say, I really dislike the new colour scheme of the seats (and I think that they'll agree very badly) but that's a personal thing! Friendly and efficient even whilst at its busiest.

I tried to buy tickets for a concert which is being held in JUNE 2025 back in November There were no tickets left to buy from the Bristol Beacon I noticed that tickets are being sold by other vendors such as Viagogo at inflated prices. Why is this when the concert is 8 months away? I'm very disappointed as I can't afford these inflated prices. Bristol Beacon is funded by Bristol City Council and claim to be a charity. I can't believe that the Beacon can allow this to happen.

The venue had a warm, friendly vibe, and the staff were attentive and well-organized, ensuring a smooth experience throughout the night. One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity to meet and interact with other fans. I strongly suspect Dominos gave me a contaminated pizza, that resulting in my young children having an allergic reaction to eating it, but Dominos were unconcerned. My family have been buying pizza from this store for many years, without incident. However, I recently got a pizza the caused my 2 young children to cry, reporting pain to their lips and around their mouth. Their skin started to go red and they developed a rash on the faces. We stopped them eating the pizza and washed their mouths/faces with cold water. This reduced some of the pain and itching, so they were able to sleep it off. I reported the situation to Dominos straight away. After chasing them several times, I received a generic response, a list of the expected ingredients, nothing else. This shows to me that Dominos are not concerned that that particular product had the reaction it did. I believe a Dominos employee intentionally or unintentionally added something to the pizza that was not meant to be there, possible something spicy (like chilli oil). And, rather than preparing an untainted replacement, they gave me the contaminated pizza, resulting in my young children crying in pain.... but, most disappointingly, Dominos have not demonstrated any concern about the impact they had. So, my whole family have now stopped buying Dominos pizza, because we can't risk our kids (or anyone else) having a similar reaction when eating their pizza.
