Papa Johns in Manchester

I recently visited a Papa John's branch, Manchester Central (M1 5AN) Store on Dec 10-2024 with Order Number- 76413598 and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment I entered, the atmosphere felt welcoming, but the real highlight of my visit was the exceptional service provided by Ajay, one of the representatives at the store. Ajay is an incredibly kind, polite, and professional individual who went above and beyond to make my visit memorable. He patiently helped me decide on my order, offering thoughtful suggestions and ensuring that my preferences were met perfectly. His joyful and cheerful demeanor made the entire experience even more pleasant, leaving a lasting impression. What truly sets Ajay apart is his dedication to quality. I collected my order and took it home by bus, braving the cold and windy weather, but even then, the pizza was still hot and absolutely delicious. It was clear that Ajay takes great pride in his work and ensures the highest standard of preparation. Ajay's outstanding service and friendly nature are a true asset to Papa John's. His ability to connect with customers and create a positive experience is rare and highly commendable. I hope his manager recognizes his efforts because he truly deserves praise for representing the brand in such an exemplary manner. Thanks to Ajay and the delicious pizza, I can’t wait to visit again soon. A big shout-out to Papa John's for having such an incredible team member!

I love the pizza at Papa John’s, it’s my favourite pizza takeaway, but the unprofessional workers at this branch make me extremely hesitant to ever order again. Me and my boyfriend placed an order through deliveroo, the first thing that went wrong. The branch were incorrectly updating the deliveroo app, saying it was being prepared, and that it was out for delivery - but we didn’t know which branch as it originally said it was coming from swinton, only for us to have to call around after the order was 30 minutes late to learn not a single store could say they had our order. After more calling, this branch began to make our order, and I called them to confirm and request any type of reimbursement for the fact that, at this point, we had been waiting an hour a half for it to only just be started. They sent me to the Swinton branch to do that, who then sent me back to this branch - I have now put a complaint and refund request through on deliveroo as I was then told they’d call me back and they never did. Furthermore, this branch said we would have to wait a further 40 minutes on top of the fact that they refused to help at all with how long our order had been blatantly ignored. With the issues in the deliveroo order/tracking, I called to request a tracking number/link so I could keep an eye on this order this time, and whoever picked up the phone proceeded to yell at me for asking for such, just telling me that the driver would call me - the rest I didn’t understand due to his raised voice screaming through the microphone. If any problems occur with your order, they will not help you. I tried to leave a customer service query on the website as well, and Manchester/Greater Manchester, all the possible counties weren’t available so I couldn’t even put it through!

In about 10 minutes, I'll have waited 2 hours for a pizza. It was supposed to come within half an hour. I understand that Friday nights are busy and a peak period, but the only reason I ordered was because it was advertised to be quick! Add to that I actually ordered from a closer location, but it was automatically moved to the city centre branch for some reason? Bizarre.

Very bad crew member.They are very rude they take the order and after 10 minutes they will said that it will take 20 more minutes and misbehave with you

Cold, late, greasy and for the cherry on top, we found a hair in our pizza🤢

Called up their store and said I found hair in the pizza, the manager said it’s impossible!!! Really??? I paid £30 for two pizzas, and by far this was the worst pizza I have ever had, came after an hour, cold and very grossly greasy, and very very doughy. I thought I give papa johns a shot over domino’s but disappointed us. We binned the whole thing. Never ever spending a penny with them again. Just ruined the whole night for our guests.

We ordered 2 pizzas from Papa John's and it was a disaster from start to finish. First, the delivery took over an hour, and when it finally arrived, the pizzas were cold. I called them, and they gave a lame excuse about the roads being "busy." Then, as if that wasn’t bad enough, we discovered a hair baked into the pizza! Disgusted, I called back, and the manager was unbelievably rude, dismissing it and saying "no, no, it's impossible." Well, the picture speaks for itself—you can clearly see the hair baked right in! This place doesn’t care about quality or hygiene, and the customer service is appalling. Absolutely disappointed and will never order here again. Awful

Poor service, Expensive, Clean and excellent quality food

No menu on display, Staff too busy with online orders to serve, Very expensive even for a city centre shop. Pizza express are far more engaged at service and are not as expensive which is a shame because the food here is excellent.

I ordered a vegetarian pizza and they gave me my order and I was assured it was correct but I got home and realised they had not got my order correct a quarter of the way through eating it. I am vegetarian and now have eaten meat due to their incompetence. DO NOT EAT HERE

ALERT!!! Fake they don’t sell nothing for 2.99 it says clearly until 3 pm the other day I went at 2:30 pm and they refused to give me for this price, fake papa John’s don’t go, don’t waste your time, extremely bad service as well

Called to order and was politey told to FK off

Delivery drive was unable to find hotel I was staying at. I was made aware they were trying to deliver and were supposedly outside at 18:45 but was not able to see them when I went outside. Food finally arrived 19:27 following me phoning the store meaning the food was cold so not too pleasant to eat.

I was served by Manjeet who was really lovely and served me really quick! They also have a lot of great deals including a £4.99 pizza and drink deal. Overall I am really happy with this service!

I visited this Papa John for lunch. Just ordered a Peperoni Pizza, nothing fancy of course. But the reason Im rating this as a five-star, the employee who was from Pakistan was really friendly. Urgent Complaint Regarding Order Delivery Issue - Demand for Full Refund and Compensation Dear Papa John's Management, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the handling of my recent order placed via Uber Eats today at 12:47. Despite my clear instructions and selection of the "Go Solo" set, which included a Jackfruit "Pepperoni" Medium original pizza, cauliflower wings, and a Pepsi Max 500ml, the delivery experience was nothing short of a debacle. At 13:22, I received a call from Papa John's staff informing me that an incorrect pizza had been handed to the Uber driver and that the correct one would be delivered within 10 to 15 minutes. Throughout this ordeal, I was repeatedly contacted by Papa John's to confirm my address, despite it being correct from the outset. Despite waiting patiently until 14:51, the promised delivery time elapsed without any sign of my order. Upon contacting Papa John's once again, I was informed that the driver had already delivered the pizza, a claim that I vehemently dispute. I was alone at home during this period, and no delivery attempt was made, as no one rang the bell or contacted me via phone. The driver's assertion that he delivered the pizza to a woman who claimed to have ordered it is both incredulous and unacceptable. I refuse to shoulder the responsibility for your driver's incompetence and the dishonesty of an unidentified individual. This entire experience has resulted in over two hours of wasted time, frustration, and disappointment. Furthermore, the refund of £6.29 issued by Uber Eats is grossly insufficient to cover the cost of a medium-sized pizza, let alone compensate for the inconvenience and distress caused. I demand immediate action to rectify this situation. I expect a full refund for my order, as well as appropriate compensation for the time and inconvenience endured. Anything less would be an inadequate response to the gravity of this matter. I trust that you will address this matter with the urgency and seriousness it warrants. Worst pizza in Manchester, Domino’s is far better. Ordered it and received in stale condition very less cheese.Trust me try any other pizza takeaways. I think the employees are so dumb and useless.

Order a pizza with extra beef and cheese. The two things I ordered, and paid more for, are least present. Called branch, staff unable to communicate. Was not happy at 2am. Update: Store manager returned the call, apologised for the experience, invited me to order again, and credited my account. Will adjust food rating after receiving my next order.

Customer service is excellent. I made a mistake by forgetting to change the last address used for my previous just eat order and when I rang the restaurant to inform them they were really nice about it and had the courier deliver the food to the correct address. The courier was also really nice about it! Also to top it off the food was still warm when delivered. I would recommend just based of the experience alone but the food is good quality also.

Staff is incompetent. It feels like they are square peg in a round hole.

Service was good and swift but Papa John's just should stop making pizza. I've had bad papa's before and wrote it down as a freak accident but whatever is Papa johns secret sauce just doesn't work at all. For positives, the pizza was warm and the place was open late. If you got an option to eat anywhere else nearby I would strongly encourage that.

I want a refund please as the driver as made no attempt to find my house this as happened before with dominos a couple ov months back, as I explaine I was outside yet waiting for food and the driver as bein in the other side ov my row ov house an I was on the other side he made no attempt to come round, as i heard he he’s bike start up I tried running round but he just drove off like I said he made no attempt 👍🏻

Just collected it! Are you in need of a quick snack while working late on a Sunday night but can't find anything available? Well, let me tell you about this amazing place I stumbled upon. The food there was absolutely delicious and exactly what I needed – spicy and fulfilling, and the staff was friendly during the collection process. It was such a wonderful find!

Ordered and paid for an hour and a half in advance for 7:30pm Nothing arrived so called up branch at 8pm and was told the order was not on their system. Said they would get it ready and delivered within 20 minutes and send a free dessert too to make up for inconvenience, Finally arrived an hour later at 9:10pm. Avoid Edit: Having lied to me on the phone about how long it would take to arrive, you also lied about sending a free dessert. Untrustworthy, incompetent, and if true - internal ordering system is useless too. will never use Papa Johns again.

Got mild food poisoning. Papadias not as described, it was literally just a folded pizza that hasn't been closed off like a calzone would. Compared to the adverts and what I've tried in America this was missing all the seasoning its meant to have, and outside was just regular pizza dough instead of grilled/crispy Inside was a mush of ingredients, pepperonis were sad and dough was undercooked. I expected it to come with a dip ( it didn't ). Service was fine. Front door wouldn't close properly so it was quite cold inside, can't be good for many things including hygiene.

Every order, every additional dip that is ordered is always missing. Not hard to follow a receipt to get a complete order sent to customers. Food is fine, but don't expect additional dips to be sent. Worse than Mcdonalds when it comes to sending dips.

Wrong order galore, staff member couldn't input my order into the till, the only plus point was being pushed to the front of the queue in store. Patient manager or whoever he was.

The review can start with “I ordered 1 pizza and 2 sides at 7.30 pm” and end with “I received the order after 2h and 10 minutes”. The guy at the phone was relatively polite but please don’t tell me that it’s taking longer than usual because some streets are closed when the delivery guy was driving a scooter. Food arrived so cold I didn’t even want to eat it. Waste of time and money.

Garbage, garbage, Garbage. Ordered food for a work event to be delivered at 12.45 for lunch. Finally delivered nearly 2 hours late after countless phone calls chasing and being told it’s 10 minutes away.

Nice service, i am a student and a new user. I suppose to have a free pizza but the app doesn't show out. So the worker decides to help me settle with it and it was settled 😊

Absolutely shocking customer service. I arrived when the app told me to collect my order and it took me another 20 mins to get it. The food was borderline cold and we asked for extra garlic and his first response was it is inside, and I said I know but can I have extra. He then gave me two extra garlics and charged me for them! To top it off there wasn’t any in the box anyways. There was a couple next to us that had been there for 30 mins and even asked me “how do you order here” because they were getting ignored. I am aswell contacting the customer service team and this will be followed up!
