How have we not heard of this place before is beyond me! What an absolute little gem! With family visiting from abroad we often do a mixture of cooking, eating out and take aways! Tonight we really fancied Greek and chose Papa George... As we went to collect our order from the distance we were greeted by a beautiful Greek music and as we entered the restaurant we were warmly greated and treated to a complementary bottle of Greek wine and an extra Baklava! Food - absolutely stunning!! Amazing starters! Mixed grill for 2 was more than enough for 2 adults and 2 small children. And last but not least- Baklava - better then the one we had in Greece! You got yourself new regulars Papa George! THANK YOU!

A tiny restaurant but what a find! We visited as a group of 4 friends & had a very warm welcome from the owner. The food was to die for - the best gyros pita I’ve had outside of Greece! Thank you for an amazing meal 😊

I visited this place based on reviews that I had seen. I instantly wanted to have a mixed grill as I have visited lots of Greek restaurants in Greece and the U.K many times and fancied some authentic Greek food! Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. I found the quality of the meat very underwhelming. The chicken was not like any chicken I have had before at Greek restaurant. It was more like chicken fajita meat and not juicy chargrilled chicken. The meat platter also mainly consisted of pork, rather than lamb, chicken and sausage and I found that disappointing. The chips, bread, salad and 2 dips were nice and the atmosphere was spot on to a Greek Taverna but the meat is very low quality and definitely not worth £40.00. Just when I thought the disappointment couldn't get any worse I was then charged £4.50 service charged which I found cheeky. Its fair to say I definitely won't be returning.

It’s a tiny space but do not let that put you off. Great atmosphere, great food and excellent value. The slow cooked lamb is a must have and one plate is plenty for two people. Wine at £20 a bottle - it’s a pot luck system, don’t ask for a wine list, it’s white or red! Family run, very friendly.

Cannot recommend the food more - and cannot thank the owner (who is a proper character) for such a warm welcome. They are also wonderfully dog friendly, which is much appreciated.

A Delightful Taste of Turkey at A La Turka Ramsgate A La Turka Ramsgate offers a truly authentic and unforgettable dining experience that captures the heart and soul of Turkish cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm welcome and a vibrant atmosphere that reflects the rich culture and hospitality of Turkey. The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of dishes that cater to all tastes. We started with a selection of mezze, and every bite was a burst of flavor. The hummus was silky smooth, the stuffed vine leaves were perfectly seasoned, and the grilled halloumi was a standout. For the main course, the mixed grill was exceptional. The meats were tender, juicy, and expertly charred, with the lamb kofte being a personal favorite. The accompanying rice and salad were fresh and perfectly balanced the richness of the meat. Dessert was the perfect finishing touch. The baklava was flaky, sweet, and paired beautifully with a traditional Turkish coffee. The service was impeccable – friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with warm lighting and a cozy ambiance that makes it perfect for a relaxed evening out. A La Turka Ramsgate is a gem of a restaurant that delivers an authentic and memorable Turkish dining experience. Whether you’re a fan of Mediterranean cuisine or just looking for something new, this place is a must-visit.

Gorgeous hotel, so cosy and inviting during a rainy weekend in Margate. The restaurant food looked wonderful and cocktails were fabulous. Thank you!

We’ve just eaten an absolutely delicious meal from the Greek Arch. Amazing gigantes, brilliant chicken and pork kebabs with all the trimmings followed by yummy baklava. Wish we had such a great Greek restaurant in our neighbourhood!
