We went for dinner with friends. The food was amazing , and the service great .the only think i didn't like it was so busy and only one server, he needed help .but lovely place to eat .

Had a really excellent meal here as a couple and everyone was really friendly. Really happy that we came upon papa gee. Thank you !

A nice, family run restaurant with great food. Only downside was the noise from other customers nearby. Recommended (if you have earplugs!)

Top pizza from a great menu with pasta, risotto and Secondi options. The side salad and Spritzers were generous and great. The Nonna's were lovely. Nice vibe.

We had a small family birthday celebration here last week - the restaurant is very welcoming, perfect service, the food and drinks were excellent - really good portion sizes with quality ingredients at a good price, we all enjoyed ourselves. If you love really good authentic pizza this is the place to go to - I haven’t eaten such good pizza for years despite a trip to Rome last year, just fabulous. 💯 recommend, and looking forward to a return visit and another margherita pizza 😋

If you want an authentic pizza, this is the best pizza restaurant to go. The best garlic bread I've ever tasted! A real italian pizza and the taste is amazing! Desserts are excellent too, not too sweet for chocolate. Excellent service and lovely ambiance. Less option for vegans but they have gluten free options for pastas

Pretty mediocre, especially the main course. The cooking was off and overcooked. Not sure the waiting staff were that bothered although they attended ok. Shame as previously I would rate this place quite well. Something mot coming together in the kitchen?

Our go to Italian restaurant in Reading. Everything they do is good and very consistent. Awesome pizzas and prawns. Others have been and gone but Papa Gee and Pepe Sale are the dons.

We recently dined at Papa Gee, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Napolitan pizza, which I can confidently say is the best in Reading! The perfect blend of flavors and that authentic Italian taste made it an unforgettable dining experience. The restaurant's ambiance and attentive staff only added to the overall charm. I can't wait to go back and savor more of their delicious offerings! Highly recommended. 🍕🇮🇹

One of the worst carbonara I have ever eaten. I was excited to see that it had no cream on the menu, which is how carbonara is supposed to be. However, there was a swimming pool of raw yolk (uncooked, not a creamy sauce containing egg yolk), almost no pepper, and a bitter taste that I didn't recognise. The cotoletta had a tomato sauce on top of it (not sure why) that made it soggy. The tomato sauce was ok though. They asked the table next to us if they liked the food, but they did not ask us. Probably because we didn't look like we liked the food. On the bill, they added two desserts that we didn't have and we had to ask to take them away.

Our first choice for a meal out with our toddler when the doors opened. It’s comfortable, smells delicious, tastes delicious and indgredients are fresh. It really felt family run and relaxed. we enjoyed the atmosphere of that combination. I reccomend the ice cream!

I keep going back! The best pizza with flavoursome light dough as well as a range of other options that you do not normally find on the menu. Everything is cooked fresh & they are very happy to adjust ingredients to suit your taste.

One of the best Italian places in Reading! I come here with my family and we reminisce about our Amalfi Coast holiday :) We fell in love with the Naples-style pizza, and this is one of the best places outside of Italy for it!

Absolutely fantastic meal last night at Papa Gee's in Caversham! The flavours were authentic and the dishes were executed flawlessly. The guanciale in the Carbonara was a specific highlight...so crispy yet melting in your mouth. I loved the Carbonara, and I though it was a nice touch that you could order it the traditional way, with an egg yolk, or you could order it with cream for those intolerant of eggs. This was my first visit, but it surely won't be my last.

Last night 05/03/2022 our family group of four ate at Papa Gee restaurant. The food was freshly cooked good size portions impeccable service. Will definitely be making a return visit in the near future. Would recommend making a reservation first.

Really great little restaurant with authentic Italian food, made on site. Friendly staff and allowed us to take doggy bags home when our eyes proved bigger than our bellies 😂 food arrived quickly, and was reasonably priced. Restaurant is in central a Caversham and easy to find.

This place is amazing. We went to have a pizza, in my opinion the best in Reading. It was really nice. Service was nice, they served quick. We had dessert as well, my friend said that the tiramisu wasn’t the best but it was fine. I will definitely come back to try more plates!

Today I have ordered pizza order 8650 , I'm really disappointed because when open it there was hole under pizza and un cooked with hair in it suggest u to never do delivery it in is better

This is an authentic Italian (Neapolitan) restaurant/pizzeria. Cozy, lovey and family run, which makes it even more special. Way far from the fake italian food, commonly served in the most famous chains. On top of the delicious food, the staff is amazing and friendly. We had the pleasure to meet the lovely Odette, that made our dinner even more special. ♥️

We went there for a weekday dinner. Food looked good and the pizza was nice, but we found a funny taste in the fresh mozzarella. Service was quick and gentle. However, once we arrived back home, we became violently sick and developed d+v for the following 24h. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Such a lovely place. The interior is cosy, the service is super friendly, and the food was incredible! We had the antipasto misto and polpette to start, with some homebaked sourdough which was warm and fluffy and gorgeous. The main was the calabresse pizza, topped with burratta. Can highly recommend!

After this second period of 'lockdown' Jean & I get to our favourite Italian Restaurant for a superb meal of their usual great quality in the authentic atmosphere we remember from our many trips to Italy. Usual great service from the friendly staff with tables well spread out for COID. A wonderful evening out together and a welcome respite from the current miserable weather. Thank you Papa Gee !

Just came away from an amazing birthday dinner with my girlfriend. Italian food is my absolute favourite and this place delivered in everyway possible. The starters and mains were brilliant and the service was just as good. Definitely will be going back and looking forward to it.
