La comida es excelente! La limonada de rosas y cardamomo era brillante. Terminamos nuestra comida con helado de rosas. ¡No te decepcionará elegir este restaurante! Muy recomendable!

Ordered drinks and starters, was told by waitress we must order the mains also with the order at the same time. We were unsure what we wanted for mains and said we will decide after we’ve had the starters. She said we cannot do that and called the manager. The manager reiterated what the waitress said and stated we cannot just order drinks and starters. We therefore had to leave the restaurant, in over 30 years of eating out we never have come across such a ludicrous policy, definitely won’t be returning. They only want large orders for their eat in seating and this was an indirect way of putting it across to us. They deserve zero stars, plenty of other restaurants in London with much better attitude and most likely much better food.

We were walking around trying to decide what to eat for dinner and Papadum stood out to us. The staff were all friendly and efficient. We had a couple starters, the lamb curry and washed with their unique gin drinks. They have one dessert and it’s a great way to finish a good meal.

Warning for people who love an authentic vada pav, this is not it. Here, they serve it without green chutney and tamarind chutney for reasons unknown. This makes it dry and unpalatable. I asked for green chutney, and I was told it would be chargeable. We ended up eating it with the pav bhaji masala as that was the only way it was salvageable. The chocolate panic puri was a disaster. All hype, no substance. Avoid. The masala chai, pav bhaji, and dahi puri dishes were the saving grace.

Ordered Kala khatta mocktail which was just sweet syrup. There was no sourness(khatta) in the drink. Ordered thali. Two of the dishes in thali were cold. When pointed out the server said tha chef forgot to switch on the burner. Brought the dishes again but one of it was different saying that it has finished. Naan was not a naan. It was flat bread out of packet warmed up in microwave. Extremely bad experience. We went to london after very long time and were looking forward to nice evening. Spoiled our evening.

We were a table of 10 and they acommodated us as we went at 5.30. Food was average and the portions of meat/fish in the dish was bad. I had goan fish and there must have been a quarter of a piece of fish in there, making it more lije a fisny spicy thick soup! It was what i would give to a 2year old. What was odd: Being told you have to order everything at once - wont even bring more drinks if you need them Being told they wont give a glass /mug of hot water to my 76year old mum No salad on main dishes even two slices cucumber and some onion woukd have worked! Won’t be back - highly inflexible and don’t seem to grasp that they are jn the hospitality industry where people pay to enjoy and relax.

The server was delightful and very helpful with menu recommendations at this fabulous Indian Street Food restaurant. We ordered Chicken Biryani and Pav Bhaji to share and both dishes were incredibly delicious. To drink, we ordered Turmeric Masala Chai, which we both savored. If you’re looking for unusually tasty Indian food in London, we cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Ever since you have opened we visit frequently beacuse the food is to die for and the staff are just so welcoming and friendly. I recently had Covid for the first time and lost both my taste and smell for two weeks and when it did come back my first visit was to Papa-Dum in St Christophers place. THANK YOU FOR JUST BEING AMAZING and I can't wait to visit soon :)

I really enjoyed my visit to Papadum. I had some lovely deep fried savoury snacks and the chai was good - very strong. I'm always on the look out for places with Indian snacks & proper chai and I would definitely go back. The staff were even kind enough to give me a free gulab jamun!

Average given the price. Nothing particularly bad, but given the price the food quality was about average and nothing really stood out as wow, as you would hope for somewhere charging £50/head. On the face of it the decor looks ornate and impressive, but actually when you looked closer the wood panelling looked tired, and in places may have had black mould on the edges of the mouldings. The atmosphere was also somehow cold and lacking warmth and class — it is possible this was due to a poor choice of lighting, mostly overhead and cold in temperature, and not enough side lighting and of a warmer colour temperature. It was also actually cold! It is not clear why the air conditioning would be on and set to such a low temperature in October. It was too cold for my 74 year old mother, but eventually they did provide a small space heater, which greatly improved things. The staff were friendly and helpful — i.e. with the space heater —and the manager honoured the price I was quoted online, which disagreed with the price in the menu in the restaurant.

Its closed. Thank heavens. Dirty place. Oily food. Hideous. Had a photo of Princess Diana in the window so as to lure in punters. In the photo Diana is running away from this place.

I had an incredible dining experience at Royal India in Covent Garden. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a beautifully authentic atmosphere that set the tone for a memorable meal. The staff was attentive and friendly, making excellent recommendations tailored to our tastes. The food was truly exceptional—each dish was rich, flavorful, and expertly spiced, capturing the true essence of Indian cuisine. The butter chicken was silky and packed with flavor, while the biryani was aromatic and perfectly balanced. Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or just looking to try something new, Royal India is a must-visit. This is easily one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in London, and I can’t wait to return!
