Party booking, food was ok. Starters dressed nicely but mains did not live up to the promise set by the first course. Phasing of the rice and mains was all wrong so you either had not enough rice or not enough curry. Bread made the rounds and tasted good but there should be more than enough rice. Sorbet never made it to me. Staff kept on pushing the drinks upsell.

very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff member serving us was extremely disrespectful and made an inappropriate comment, which was completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, she did not allow us to stay at our table for no valid reason. This behavior left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. I’m not sure of her background, but this kind of treatment is not professional or acceptable in any setting. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures better training for their staff to improve customer experience.

We came as the restaurant promised small platters to try out different Indian foods, but in the end we didn't find any interesting options, so instead we ended up ordering a some starters and main courses. Food was ok, but did not justify the high prices (we ended up paying £100 for two people). The ambiance is nice, but the tables are squeezed together so tightly that it's hard to keep a conversation without fully hearing that of the neighbors (whose table is maybe 20cm away)... overall, it would have been acceptable for half the price, but if I'm paying premium prices, I would hope to get more for my buck in every aspect of the experience.

I'm not from London so I found the prices to be eye watering, nor was there a lot of choice on the menu. The food, however, that my friend and I had was just amazing - I can still taste its smoky gorgeousness. 😊. It was the week before Christmas, so perhaps the atmosphere was brighter than usual, but it was a great evening out and I'd recommend it to anyone who has a few bob to spare.

The food was really dispointing. We were a group of 3 persons. We like indian and everytime we go abroad we go for indian. But this was the most expansive restaurant compares to quality and taste. On thali there were only 3 Little pieces of meet. The staff however were friendly and helpful. So the service in it self was good. Also there a nuts in almost all of the dises on the menucard which makes it hard too chose.

The food here was so amazing, would highly recommend the chicken 65 as it is so flavorful. Would like to add that there aren’t many curry options but the kebabs add lots of variety to the menu

We arrived early for our reservation but they were able to seat us instantly. Wonderful service, they were attentive but not hovering. The food was amazing! So good infact that we ordered a 3rd main course to share! Only downside is we were too full to order more food lol

During a crazy search for a place to have dinner we came across this restaurant. Delicious food and super friendly and helpful staff! We ordered a bit blindly, not being experts, and we got: 1 Delhi veg curry, 1 butter chicken, 1 saffron chicken korm., 1 Tandoori chopped chicken. There were four of us and to accompany these 4 curry dishes we also took 2 portions of white rice and 2 of naan bread. Everything can be shared as explained to us by the girl who served us (KAM) who also advised us to have a rice for 2

Sai guy who took our order was nice and got us what we wanted. He was humble

Tasty food, good prices, and lovely staff! Would highly recommend the thali, I had prawn thali and my friend had butter chicken thali and both were great! Comes with lots of different dishes so you can try a bit of everything!

Overall, a positive experience. The atmosphere was very nice and welcoming, making it a pleasant place to be, with polite service. It was a bit pricey for the portion sizes, but that’s to be expected in the area. The taste of the lamb biryani was lovely. Only minor room for improvement would be how staff should let guests know whether rice/naan bread is needed with certain dishes to ensure the food is sufficient. Overall, it was a great place to visit, and it made the trip to Soho + Covent Garden enjoyable thanks to the pleasant atmosphere and high-quality vibe.

Myself and a friend ate here Monday 9th December and I can safely say it was the best Indian meal ever. Superb food and a lovely experience

Decided to pop in for a solo lunch. Got the lamb sliders for starter and these were absolutely delicious. Marinated lamb between a nice butter brioche roll 10/10. Got the butter chicken for main along with a cheese and garlic naan and this was delicious very tasty and would come back.

Great experience at Masala zone with my partner. First off we were seated and what we first thought of the place was the calming ambiance. A lot of colour and great decor. We went straight for mains my partner went for the chicken biyrani. I have to say that was the most succulent, tasty and mouthwatering Chicken Biyrani we have ever tasted. I went for the lamb shoulder and Peshwari Nan bread. Epic combination. All in all great experience. Highly recommended

I was really pleasantly surprised by how original and delicious the food was when I went for our work Christmas meal. All the dishes had a fantastic range of flavours, I especially like the banana dumpling curry. Lots of non alcoholic drinks options too, I really enjoyed the Black Coke.

When we paid our bill, the waitress handed us an iPad to give them a rating which I felt was on the pushy side, so decided not to complete due to my above comments. Sadly this experience has prevented me from returning.

Nice place to meet up with friends for dinner. Just don’t ask the staff to take a picture for you. They are not as friendly as they may seem. I hope to go back and enjoy the food

We stopped here for our last night in London. We had a party of 7 and were very accommodating even without a reservation. Food was very good and the service was delicious

Good customer service with friendly staff. Butter chicken tali was well flavoured. Portion sizes and tast could be improved on the grills. Good variety of vegetarian and halal options. Overall had a nice experience.

Really tasty platter dish (called a thali) with a choice of main accompanied by rice, daal, aloo gobi, vegetarian jalfrezi, half a papadum, chutneys and raita. Cosy atmosphere, attentive, helpful waiting team and, unlike many other restaurants, a normal priced menu even though it was a Saturday in December. If you like papadums order another portion - you get about 4 extras. It was a little drafty, but only because I was wearing a light top (everyone else had a jumper or jacket on and they were fine). Would definitely come again.

Nice food, good flavours - expensive for a curry, but the restaurant is very central london. Great service, as sat us a table for 7 without a booking on a Saturday night and the food came out quickly. Probably wouldn’t return quickly, as can find a cheaper alternative outside of london - but enjoyed tonight nonetheless. Particularly nice was the spinach and garlic - highly recommend this!

Service: Average. While the restaurant is kid-friendly and accommodating (they honored our request for a pushchair-friendly seating), the service was notably slow. It took multiple reminders to get water for waiting guests and to take our orders. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu, which was a plus. However, the toilets were poorly maintained, which detracted from the overall experience. 5/10. Food: The vegetarian mains selection is very limited. Dal/lentils are only available as sides with no option to upgrade, which was disappointing. That said, the preparation and taste of the dishes were generally good—worth a 7/10 overall. Unfortunately, the biryani was an exception, lacking balance in both spice and salt.

Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. The food ranged from average to good—perhaps I didn’t pick their best offerings.

Pleasant experience. The service was good and efficient. We were placed in a corner and it was much quieter than the main room. I appreciated the warm decorations on the ceiling with the different dolls. The food came really quickly and the veggie Thali was tasty. I added raita which wasn't necessary in the end as I couldn't finish. The portion was more than generous.

Very nice Indian restaurant in Central London. Amazing ambience, great staff and great food.

A place with cool atmosphere and average food. Sadly, a very strange and rude attitude serving people with intolerances or allergies. I have a dairy and gluten intolerance. The servers told me to check a confusing online allergen menu myself with no guidance rather than answer any question about the menu. Then, we ordered the nachos with yogurt on the side, not an abnormal request. A manager literally came to us to tell us having the yogurt on the side would inherently alter the dish and they couldn't do it. I worked in hospitality for 6+ years and this is absolutely crazy. We were blown away by the arrogance of this, which seems to be decision from the chef, not the FOH. It's not haute cuisine, it's fusion nachos at a chain restaurant. Just put the yogurt on the side. Overall, food is acceptable, nothing remarkable, and the atmosphere is cool - but you would get better allergen service even at the worst of chain pubs. Would not come back.

The Chicken 65 and Aloo Tikki small plates were bursting with flavour, and the Paneer Makhni with Garlic Naan was perfectly cooked and indulgent. Special thanks to our waitress Kamala for recommending a delicious dessert that ended the meal on a high note. Will definitely return!

The Food was good and affordable, the service was good, the staff were very attentive and the atmosphere was fitting. Covent Garden however the only down side is the size of the portions of food.

The food is delicious, but the service is a little slow

My favourite Indian restaurant. Food is fantastic as always. Absolutely love the Jaipur Gol Guppa Pops and Lucknow Dahi Puri for starters. The creamy and tangy flavours just cleanses the palate. The Paneer Makhanwalla is a lovely sweet curry and Chicken Mangalore has a bit of a chilli kick, both delicious. To finish off our meal, we ordered Gulab Jamun with Ginger Ice Cream which was satisfyingly warm. The Mango Srikhand Fruit Cup was lovely and creamy. Staff were attentive. Only issue l had was, it was freezing in the restaurant. Apparently the heating was down and they only had a small standing heater at one end of the restaurant.

Chicken barter is overrated. I thought that’s going to be delicious more than what I received. It was basic chicken butter, and the rice. It’s not the best also.

Loved the food! We ordered the Thali meal and it was delicious! The ambience is so great, and was located close to our hotel, took us about 8 mins to reach! Will be back soon!

A big, well-decorated Indian restaurant with efficient and friendly service and delicious food. My friend and i got a thali each (one butter chicken one lamb rogan josh) and a smashed samosa thing. Everything was really good. We came before ballet at the royal opera house, and the food all arrived fast enough for time not to be an issue.

Food is modern and authentic. Atmosphere isn’t bad The service needs improvement. It’s a pity that we were pushed all the way from ordering drinks to desserts. We were asked to leave in 15 mins right after dessert.

Booked, which was just as well as it was busy. Quite tightly packed tables, so we were easily able to listen in on the conversation going on next to us! Not a vast, but pretty comprehensive menu for all tastes (spicy to non). Thali works out best value as choosing a main dish plus sides, the bill mounts up quickly. Staff dealt with a not sufficiently heated dish quickly and without fuss. Very tasty food. Too stuffed for dessert.

The best Indian restaurant I tried in London. The food is very delicious. The flavors in every dish were wonderful and the quantity was excellent. The staff were pleasant and the service was wonderful. I highly recommend it. I have a comment about the garlic naan bread, it would have been better if the garlic and sauce had more flavor

Ordered a chicken biryani. It’s very tasty, little close towards Parsi side of the taste but the chicken and rice is cooked with perfect spices and is very delicious.

The best Indian food we have ever had!!! Seriously you need to try the cheese naan and the chili-free curry. Even the drinks here are extraordinarily delicious. Next London Holiday we will come back.

We went for lunch to Masala Zone, our servers were really nice and helped us decide what to order. We ordered a madras chicken 65, Dahi Puri, and cheese balls for starters. The chicken 65 was my favourite. For main course we got a mangalore style chicken curry with chapattis and naan along with veg biryani. The chicken curry was amazing!! Also because we like our food spicy we asked for chopped chillies and onions on the side, which was a game changer. Will definitely come back here!

The food is alright for the menu prices. I was expecting much more considering the reviews. The service and staff were very welcoming and warm. May be trying a la carte would be different as I went for thali with prawns.

I recently ordered from Masala Zone, and I got a £17 butter chicken without a side of rice. I assumed for £17 the rice would be included, but instead I had to cook a side of rice while my butter chicken went cold. It should be more clear that the £17 covers only the stew, but not the rice.

No había comido aquí durante unos años y me sorprendió gratamente la calidad de la comida que, en mi opinión, había mejorado. Todo estaba bien presentado y lleno de favor. El servicio estaba por encima de la media, pero se esforzaron mucho para persuadir a los clientes a comprar más alimentos de los que quizás necesitaban. Pensé que las porciones ya eran generosas. Hice el bhaji de cebolla hecho de toda una cebolla grande seguido de cordero biryani y disfruté de ambos. Si bien me doy cuenta de que el restaurante está situado en el centro de Londres, todavía me pareció que los precios son un poco altos, especialmente porque añaden un cargo de servicio del 12 1/2 %. Un buen lugar para grupos.

The flavours, the quality, the smells. Everything was incredible, loved eating here so much that I would go back as soon as I am in the area. Loved the butter chicken and the Chai tea was incredible. The rice was perfect and the naan was very tasty. Thank you for this beautiful treasured memory

A terrific experience if you like Indian Food...

The ambience here was very good. I have tried the sharing chaat platter in the piccadilly branch and loved it, and hence took my friend to this 'covent garden' branch to try the same. The only request we made was not to put the tamarind chutney in the chaats as she doesn't prefer that. But we were not given that flexibility. I am really not sure why a topping cant be avoided on customer's demand. My whole purpose of the visit wasn't met. I haven"t faced this problem in the other branches of masala zone or i could say any other fine dining restaurants in the UK. Being a foodie, we often try different cuisines and highly rated restaurants. I did give this feedback to the manager and also to the waiter while paying the final bill.

The best thing is biryani with butter chicken sauce.

Amazing venue. Not matched by the food. To be fair food quality good but quantities meager (3 small pieces of meat in a curry - seriously?). From someone who doesn’t over-eat such a find was extraordinary but disappointing

Had a great evening at this unique Indian restaurant in Floral St, Covent Garden. We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and invited to enjoy a rum cocktail at the Cocktail Bar before taking our seats at the table. We opted for the meat thali which didn't disappoint. Very enjoyable evening.

In a nutshell, don't come here if you're looking for good portions at a decent price. While the food tastes good and the staff were great/the ambience is nice, the menu is not good value. The portion size versus the price is really bad. 5 pound for a small bowl of rice is a joke. The Tikka masala was a medium sized bowl but for almost 20 pounds. I had to eat after this dinner because I wasn't full but spent almost 80 pounds here. Place just screams tourist trap
