Speedy service, beautiful restaurant and a fantastic meal. Each dish was described to us before we ate which was a lovely touch.

I really enjoy the vibes over theirs. It was great fun . Live the food as well.

Overall experience was excellent. Conveniently located near shops and tube station. The interior design and atmosphere are beautiful. Food quality and presentation are excellent and the food portion is reasonable. They have a good variety of Indian dishes. Their staff were friendly and served us very well. One thing you need to put in mind that the price is relatively expensive

I don't write reviews but as someone with a nut allergy I have to review this restaurant for others who might think to visit with allergies. I informed the staff and manager of my allergy, they provided me with the QR menu so i could see what contained nuts and what didn't. FYI their QR menu clearly hasn't been updated because almost every dish contained nuts and wasn't specified on the menu. I placed my order and nothing was said about anything in my order containing nuts (i also asked and was told it was nut safe). The order comes and i start eating my food when the waitress comes over to tell me "dont eat that it has nuts" my friend informed her i already had eaten the food and its unacceptable to come and inform someone with a nut allergy after they've consumed the food- the waitresses response was 'dont do that again" and then she walked off. on top of that the manager was extremely overbearing and rude to her own staff as well as to me and my friends. Out of everything i ordered (4 dishes) it ended up that i could only eat one of my dishes and the restaurant didnt even apologise or offer a refund. i complained to the guy at the front desk before leaving and told them if they had someone come in with a severe nut allergy they would've been in the hospital just from one bite (luckily my allergy isnt so severe) and he didn't seem to care and dismissed us. After leaving the restaurant I spent the evening and next day with severe stomach pain and hives due to the one bite i took. DO NOT come here if you have an allergy it is more hassle than it is worth!!!!!!!!!!

The best Indian restaurant in London

Just the right balance between being too fancy and affordable. The interior is beautiful, it’s suitable for both formal and informal dinner. The staff were very nice.

Great food at a good price in a lovely venue decorated with Indian puppets. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient without being intrusive. Fabulous street food starters and some classic mains. The lamb biryani and garlic naan are fabulous. Good wine selection and fair prices for Central London.

Atmosphere and everything was great until my dessert arrived I orders gajar ka halwa and underneath of that there was ginger biscuit ,ginger biscuit yes you heard right ginger biscuit that was weird ! Everything was perfect undtill my undhiyu without gravy . Everything was fine unyill there was no spoon .yes I will definitely recommend 2-3 cashews in biryani and service and atmosphere just.

Great food and service, definately recommended the thali

First time visiting this place and what a terrible experience. Came here with my friends to have iftaar, we had brought some water with us because after fasting for 16 hours we would be drinking a lot of water. The manager decided to have an issue with this because apparently it is against their policy and wanted us to buy bottles of water which were 6£ per bottle, this is against my religion to waste obscene amount of money on water and then he tells us he can bring us tap water. So disrespectful. Was hoping this would be a nice place apart from the food what a terrible experience.

We revisited Masala Zone after we visited last summer. The menu has changed, the quality of the food has dropped substantially from last year, going from amazing food to something very ordinary and non memorable. It’s quite sad, as we had awesome service and food last time, and Masala Zone was one of the restaurants we looked forward to revisiting again. The service charge of 12% of total price for tips is also new this year. Last year, the server was awesome and we never felt pressured to order more, and the server treated us very nice. We gave a tip because of awesome service last year This year, the servers are acting more as salesman, trying to push food on your order as much as they can. Masala Zone can do better, but they have lost me as a returning customer

Indian food. Keep in mind that for Spaniards, it may be a little/too spicy. The living room is spectacular. I am surprised by the number of waiters there are. A great place.

Very nice Indian cuisine. We go there everytime we are in London.

Nice atmosphere with all the dolls hanging from the ceiling and also good service. Food is unfortunately definitely not on par with it. Curry dishes felt very hurried (cooked for too short time) and lacked both seasoning and spice, simply put, quite bland. Felt like it was made for westerners.. Naans, the dhal and the poppadom condiments were the star of the show which is quite telling. There are definitely better options that are also way more affordable...

It was my better half's birthday and they made it truly extraordinary for us. Everybody treated us very well all along itself. You rock Aditya for your astonishment. I recently referenced in regards to the birthday on the booking and Aditya stepped up to the plate and give an extremely decent surprise. The food and feel was additionally astounding.

Lovely restaurant room, delicious mains. Beautifully presented food although starters that we ordered of samosa chat and bel Puri were nothing special in terms of taste. Mains of vegetarian Thali, butter chicken and paneer were excellent although I do think that the mains should come with rice or naan/Chapatti rather than having to order and pay for these on top. Desserts of gulab jamun with ginger ice cream and gajrela were delicious BUT the hot gulab jamun was served with vanilla ice cream, not ginger. Service was attentive but unobtrusive. Good restaurant for lunch or dinner with friends or family.

Hit and miss! Their South Indian dishes are better than their North Indian ones. Recommend chicken 65, and Malabar chicken curry

The place is THE place to go if you are craving some authentic Indian cuisine! Really nice food, lovely and tasty! The service was amazing all the server were really sweet and smiley!! A place to go!

Waiting staff kept on asking if we wanted more drinks...chapati...poppadoms....it became irritating after a while rather than attentive, but other than that a fantastic meal.

Wish they could make it a bit more spicy or adjust to customer as you do pay a lot.

Last minute before a show, sat 5 with very fast service - great!!

I'm not a fan of Indian food but I came to please my family, and yet I found a dish that was perfect for my taste! Super well cooked and very interesting (prepared tofu) :) Great atmosphere, quick and efficient!

Authentic Indian food but very busy place in evening so better do booking in advance

Visited Masala Zone recently, ordered lamb curry which was almost £20 and got small bowl with 5 pieces of meat. At least for this price you could’ve added some rice to the meal. Garlic naan was more of regular bread with no garlic at all, a little bit dry as well. Tasted good but disappointed with the portion size for the money.

Mediocre (at best) for the price. Ordered the veg thali and biryani; nothing note worthy here. Service was slow-ish (had to ask for the check several times).

Overall quality Indian spot! Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Interior design was clean and had an amazing atmosphere. Our starters came out fairly quickly which was good! It’s obvious that the food was freshly prepared. Portion sizes were good. Would deffo come back to this place!

If you are in London and likes Indian food go for Massala Zone! The best Indian restaurant in London… Nice service, good food and drinks after a long day seen the city.

And it was another Cunarian experience. The crispy prawns (Goan Crispy Fried Prawns) and Lucknow Dahi Puri, with the spicy sauce, the shrimp (Alleppey Prawn Curry) and lamb curry (Lamb Rogan Josh) were a very good choice. The fried balls with ice cream (Gulab Jamun with Ginger Ice Cream) and the pistachio egg cream (Kulfi) were also a nice ending. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The interior is stylish with the vivacious dolls. your cookbook" Madhur Jaffrey's Indian Cookery" is a nice souvenir to recreate the dishes.

Unfortunately didnt get pictures but very impressed with the food here and the varied and unique options. While all was lovely, I particularly loved the 5 shared grazing plates option. The Bombay Sprouted Lentil Bhel and Calcutta Potato Keema Chop particularly blew me away!

A beautiful and elegant restaurant with very good food

Yesterday we went to Masala Zone for dinner. The food, atmosphere, and environment were really good. We enjoyed our meal a lot. As a starter, we ordered Madras Chicken 65 and Goan Crispy Fried Prawns and in the main course we ordered Butter Chicken Thali and Lamb Rogan Josh Thali. The food was 10 out of 10. Will go there again.

Amazing experience at the masala zone. They did check for my allergy and recommended accordingly. Food was awesome specially the pav bhaji! 🤤 The whole Rajasthan style interiors and the grand decor definitely adds to the experience!

Amazing food and service. Amritsari Angrezi Cheese Balls with Green Chilli is the ultimate starter Tried a bite of my girlfriends Paneer Makhanwalla and got food envy! Garlic nanns and steamed rice were the perfect combination to soak up any left over sauce.

Déjà les 10€ de facturation du service, une erreur dans la répartition des paiements à la fin du repas, mon amie à payer la totalité du repas par erreur et se retrouve maintenant à découvert étant étudiante. The service and ambience are top notch. The food is not at all satisfactory. We tried lamb roganjosh which was fine but other dishes like bihari fish curry was not bihari fish curry. It’s not authentic indian but a fusion restaurant. If you wanna try something close to authentic try their Lucknow dahi puri which was not Indian but somewhat close. Service on the other hand was really impressive which makes the experience better.

Amritsari cheese balls starter was the star food. Loved the kulfis both pistachio and raspberry

This is my absolute favourite restaurant for Indian food. The currys are delicious and the variations in the Thali never disappoint. Love it here.

Consistently excellent food and service in a pleasant, modern environment.

It’s a good place but it is really expensive when compared to the quantity they give. The food is delicious we had Butter chicken, naan and dahi puri. Was really disappointed with the quantity of dahi puri they served just 4 puris.

Really delicious and very popular restaurant right in Covent Garden. We tried a variety of dishes that were all terrific, and my son loved that they had a special kid’s menu suited to his tastes. We would definitely go back!

Loved the decor at this place. The food was also really good as well. Had a vegetarian, dairy free curry. Atmosphere was busy and friendly.

It was my first time eating at any Indian fine dining restaurant (always at Indian grab and go place), but I loved Indian food a lot especially biryani. As my friends know about it we decided to go to Mazala. Restaurant ambiance is good, I am no one to judge but a lot of dolls hanging on the ceiling (part of their culture I assumed) so I decided not to deal with it. So five star for the ambiance. Service was good for me. It’s above and beyond. I want to give the guy a 5 star, however, my two Nepali friends said that the server was too much for them, guiding them what too eat and if its enough or not. I have no idea with the food and the serving, my only concern was biryani. So, food was great. Good actually! Everything came in with a very nice presentation, but in a little bit of portions/servings. (It’s London, i know everything is expensive) Please, tell your waiter to set an expectation that the £19 serving of biryani is not good for 2 people especially if the customer is a biryani lover or main focus to visit the restaurant it too eat biryani. It is just for 1 people. I had an expectation that it was a big serving until I saw it and got a bit disappointed. Garlic Nan was amazing. We ordered some another kinds of food but I don’t know it exactly, just check it on the picture below. As a whole experience in Mazala Zone Covent Garden, it was good and fantastic, but a little bit disappointed with my biryani and the service according to my friends. Still, will definitely coming back to this restaurant with my family and friends. Restaurant is surely recommended to friends.

Masala Zone is a cozy Indian restaurant located in the heart of Covent Garden. With dozens of servers ready to satisfy each and every desire, what will leave you surprised is the amount of knowledge transferred and the availability of staff. Poomi, our waitress, offered us a comprehensive Indian history and culinary lesson, bringing the food to life. Definitely worth visiting!

A no-frills, honest-to-goodness Indian restaurant that sells Indian food that tastes like it came straight out of Asia. As a Singaporean, this is the closest Indian food in Britain has gotten to tasting like back home for me. It’s spicy, not too sweet, and bursting with flavour. The thali is amazing. The service was prompt and attentive. The atmosphere was gorgeously decorated.

Been there with family and friends a few times. Beautiful unique deco. Always had yummy food, well presented, .All items were cooked with great care and perfection. Service staff were very efficient and polite.

Had a lovely dinner here before going to the theatre. Was busy and a nice atmosphere. The service is slow and you have to get attention of waiting staff often to get your order in, the table next to me were clearly waiting a while before we arrived and no one had come over to ask about drinks or anything. Only because I kept calling the staff over was I able to order drinks and then food whilst table next to me still waited. The starter and dessert were amazing but the main was disappointing as it didn’t have that flavour combination expected in a curry and didn’t pack a punch. The naan was also lack lustre. Ok but not the good stuff that you get when it’s freshly cooked. Overall I would probably not go back just because I love Indian food and the mains let it down, and for the price point the presentation and flavour were lacking. The gulab Jamon and masala chai were really good though. I’d probably give food 3.5/5 stars as the desert and starter were good.

Siamo stati per cena , l'ambiente è bello e accogliente , i camerieri gentili ma come cibo e come presso non ci siamo. Abbiamo ordinato due byriani vegetariani troppo piccanti erano immangiabili, un Lassie al mango, un garlic naan e abbiamo pagato 65 sterline....considerando che l'acqua costava 5 sterline, un lassie di mango circa 6 sterline e il Byriani che sarebbe un piatto di riso con verdure circa 20 sterline . Troppo caro per la qualità del cibo.

We ordered thali for us and also for our 2 year old. The kids thali was so spicy, so that we couldn’t offer our child anything other than plain rice. Other than the extremely spicy and expensive food, the service and atmosphere was great.
