We visited the Panorama again, and once again we enjoyed the experience. The whole area is undergoing refurbishment, with scaffolding in place.Still the service and good was second to none.We are a light breakfast with a lot of rosy lea, which was delicious.Even sitting amidst the scaffolding, this venue is pleasant.

Called in for a drink and teacake. Very tasty! The cafe was very clean and tidy, prompt service with a smile. Will be even better once the restoration in the market is complete.

Really nice lunchtime visit with the family. We like this cafe, it's different to the norm both in decor and menu and the staff are always friendly. There is a big and varied menu with a Greek twist - recommend the baguettes with various fillings including roast veg, feta, sun-dried toms, olives, hummus etc. My son proudly states that this is his favourite care - high praise indeed! Daughter calls it 'the high up cafe' which took a while to work out what she meant! We were tempted to try the veggie burgers this time. They were very good indeed and very filling served with salad and 'proper' chips. A favourite for us in Derby, have visited many times and we've had no cause for complaint anytime. Recommended.

Rubbish, food took ages, half the order came and was cold had to ask for the other half of the food and never thought a burger could taste sooooo bad. My grandson was actually sick when we got home. WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN. If you value your stomach neither should you. Would rather eat lunch from a bug infested roach coach.

We called in On the old market hall to a favourite of ours.We were confronted with a mass of scaffold as the building undergoes a major replenishment. The Panorama cafe was working as per normal, and the Tea Cakes were still delicious,as was the coffee and the prices.A friendly staff served us as we say amongst the metal poles supporting the roof space.Business as usual.

It's good for a coffee break or snack. Find your way through the scaffolding to the upper floor. Latte and scone this time, plenty of cherries in the scone.

Pleasant, cheerful young Northern European lady working the cafe. The food choices are wide-ranging and prepared to order. I had a BLT cob which was super; The Boss had a tuna / mayo / cheese cob; which she proceeded to drip the filling down the front of her coat. I was wise enough not to comment, though had it been me, I'm sure the eye-rolling and sarcasm would have lasted for some time :-) . Good food, great service from the young lady, and all that scaffo, ding to admire...

My husband and I visited the Panorama café for toast and Bacon Cobs and the cobs in particular tasted of perfume or scented hand cream and I felt that a member of staff who had handled the food had transferred this on to the food , staff were friendly enough but would not eat there again

I love this place and visit here regularly for a full English but I have had the pleasure of sampling the multitude of meals on the menu. Honestly the menu is huge. I am worried this place will be suffocated with the current scaffolding so I am leaving a review in order to persuade you to visit this cosy caff. The staff are friendly and the variety on the menu is enough to please the fussiest of eaters. The food is tasty and well cooked and is just genuinely good solid home cooked food. Nothing complicated and there is very much a Mediterranean vibe amongst your typical British greasy spoon. When there isn't scaffolding - it's nice to look out across the market.

If you didn't know it was there you might miss it - there's a large amount of scaffolding up near the roof at the moment. It's still worth a visit though - enjoy the food and service.

We've not been for a while but it's still good. Had a coffee and scone which I always enjoy. Just sit above the hub hub from the indoor market and relax with a coffee, great.

Very nice food at reasonable prices and a good, varied choice too including quite a few vegetarian options to choose from. This review covers our two most recent visits - we`ve had baguettes with delicious fillings (favourites include Feta, Sundried tomato and pesto and med veg with small side salad) and the kids can certainly vouch for the cheesy chips! Its in a lovely setting above the market stalls, its very peaceful to sit and admire the interior of the Market Hall and watch the world go by. Its also nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town centre. I would definitely recommend.

Nice food if not overly large portions. Nice friendly staff. I usually have the full English which as I mentioned is not huge but for me is sufficient. It's a nice spacious gallery in the old Guildhall market where you are looking down over the tops of the market stalls. I find the place very relaxing and away from the cramped hustle and bustle of the various other Derby cafe's and foodhall. You might need to keep your coat on in the winter months but that just adds to the character of the place.
