Dreamboat Stars was excellent. Could have done without the question and answer session, and a bit more singing, especially some older musicals.

An amazing place with two theatres within. In addition to the main auditorium, there is also a smaller studio theatre for smaller performances. My only criticism is the relative lack of publicity offered to the studio theatre productions.

Went to see school of scandal. Firstly we had a coffee in the cafe asked for 2 lattes to take into the theatre (paper cups) they came in a cup and saucer and were very small and half full of froth . The coffee was also cold I took mine back and asked for hot milk to be added a touch was added but it still was cold and a lot of froth very disappointing for the price. The actually show was the least funny comedy I have ever seen , I couldn’t hear some of the actors and they were speaking very fast. This said the actual acting of the cast was very good but the script was terrible, a lot of people walked out after the first act we sat it out but honestly felt it was a waste of good money

The production of A Christmas Carol was superb. Well done to all concerned. Another trip to an excellent production at Derby Theatre. One other bonus to mention is the legroom compared to older theatres, making the evening a more comfortable experience.

Lovely venue. We went to see Sherlock Holmes. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be returning.

I am in a wheelchair and need a companion so I applied through their website and got my free carer space. The theatre has disabled toilets, lifts and the staff were brilliant, all very helpful. Would definitely visit again. We went to see Flying High which is a gang show put on by Guides, Brownies, Cubs, Scouts and their leaders from Derby and it was really good. Would definitely recommend the theatre and the show.

Great production of Animal Farm.

Warm welcome not extortionate prices. Affordable for all. Animal Farm is a must.

Arrived at Derbion centre and went for food in the food court very expensive and all upf food bit of a let down then took granddaughter to the theatre and realised they did wholesome food and drinks go there instead, went to see zoo land and it was packed the kids loved it great theatre and atmosphere worth going. X

Absolutely brilliant. We saw Geoff Norcott live. Fantastic. We had a couple of glasses of wine and it was very well kept. Great help from all of the staff

Visited Derby Theatre to see Our Dementia Choir - fantastic evening with the choir sing a number of songs supported by Derby City concert Orchestra. All in all a good experience.

I haven't been to Derby Theatre for a few years , but the only criticism I would have with it is it should have an Ilse down the middle , wouldn't like to be sat in the middle if there was a fire .

Lovely theatre. Wherever you sit, you have an excellent view of the stage. Comfortable seats with plenty of leg room and a wide variety of entertainment delivered

Saw Rapunzel today with my 7 year old granddaughter, most mesmerising show I've seen for a long time. Came away with tears of joy, at such a stunning performance. Looking for where this is shown again in the UK. X

Staff were good. Just not use to dealing with the press.

Took my sister and brother in law as a surprise birthday gift to watch 12 Angry Men, excellent production we all really enjoyed it, easy for parking mental note made for next time for easier departure. It's the first time I've visited in many years, I shall make sure i don't leave it so long in future, plenty of leg room conformable seats, friendly staff, what more could you ask?

Great venue and an enjoyable play

What a fantastic place very clean and tidy the staff are extremely friendly and helpful if ever you go to the Derby Theatre you are guaranteed a fantastic time more than pleased thank you.

Really enjoyed the performance of 12 Angry Men. The theatre itself is lovely. Just wish there was more legroom so could be more comfortable with joint issues and having to keep struggling up to let people by. Staff always seem lovely and polite. Cafe was closed though.

Friendly staff, very helpful. Went to see an afternoon, children's performance so was a bit noisy but this was teachers/parents fault not theatre. Would Def go back. Only downfall for us was the disabled toilet access, it was very tight and also the baby change so there was a queue which added more stress to the situation .

The sound system needs a big upgrade. The cast weren't 'mic'd' up and quite difficult to hear. I am.not hard of hearkng normally.

Went to Derby Theatre last night to watch Murder in the Dark. It was really good, made you think all the way through, twisted ending. Made the night even better by meeting Tom Chambers who is really approachable, signed my booklet and we talked about Father Brown as I love his character. So, great night, great seats, great players. Many thanks Tom for making the night special, it is well worth watching.

A lovely venue in the shopping centre in Derby. Been a few time to see various plays and it's always a very comfortable temperature and the seats are quite spacious. The only downside is no middle aisle so if you're in the middle getting in and out is quite a hastle sometimes.

Located in the centre formerly known as INTU or Eagle centre. Few minutes walk from the bus station and car parks. We saw a show in the main auditorium. Really good acoustics and absolutely loads of room between the rows. Good toilets. Coffee shop selling hot drinks and snacks. There a bar upstairs too.

Usually very good and the performance of 'Billy goats' was great today and in the past 'Tiger who went to tea'. But the theatre looses a star for communication as they failed to make it clear at time of booking that today's performance wasn't in the real studio it usually is where you'd expect the performance, but in a small room beneath with elevated seating to seat about 50. To get there it's via the basement carpark, then outdoors through the wind and rain. This studio has some benefits like the performance is about 3 meters infront of you so you can lipread or see the BSL properly, but if you're hoping for a bit of space, you don't have such thing as you'll have no choice but to breathe in the coughs and splutters of others, no air space, it's all a bit small and cramped.

We love visiting our local theatre, and it has a varied programme of events, with some excellent plays. The interior doesn't have the charm of a traditional building, as its quite modern, but it feels intimate. The bar area can get really busy, when the café isn't able to take up the strain, but it has a moderate standard selection of offerings, and the prices are good.

Brilliant production most enjoyable.

Went to see brassed off, performance itself was very good and suitable for all ages. Stage and seating well laid out, very well presented. Staff were helpful and accommodating, had drinks laid out for half time break. Would definitely go again for another show.

Amazing performance of ‘Brassed off’

I love Derby Theatre and I'm so pleased it's reopened. Fingers crossed that the programme they put in there continues to attract audiences because, in my opinion, that has been its downfall in the past. Both Tony Blair the musical and Brassed Off were excellent, particularly the former.

Yet again a great performance. Really enjoyed the night it was a very friendly atmosphere

The product of Brassed Off was brilliant, the only minor issue was that the coffee shop downstairs was very busy with people standing around whilst the upstairs seating area was closed until a short time before the production started. It would be a much better experience for people if the upstairs seating area was made available earlier during busy times

A really nice theatre with a genuine warm welcome the production we enjoyed was brassed off all done very well and most professional comfortable spacious seating made it a ten out of ten the youngsters in the production were an absolute joy to watch add to all that a nicely presented pie and mash for included dinner and it's a full set of enjoyment!

I’ve visited a few times over the last year, with most recently coming to see “Brassed Off”. The theatre is very easy to get to, with many places to park within the shopping centre or local area. The theatre itself has a downstairs cafe, & bar upstairs. In terms of seating, I don’t think you would be disappointed anywhere you sit, as the theatre is relatively small compared to others.

Superb production of brassed off

Went to see brassed off it was very well presented and we had a great laugh .we'll done derby theatre.

Great theatre , just the right size, not too big but big enough to feel like it's a event. Most things are priced fairly and I've only ever enjoyed seeing plays there.

Got mela at Normanton park . First the ticket office said we don’t need to buy ticket for Saturday , you need for Sunday . We purchased the ticket for Sunday which was free but when we went on Saturday to see the mela we were not allowed to go in as we don’t have ticket . The park was full but mela was totally empty as they got barriers where the mela was . Rather than £2000 people purchased the ticket only £200 people is there . Very bad management every one was complaining. I go to Birmingham mela or Leicester mela never seen anything like this in my life . Try to explain the assistant manager Andy and other team people . I purchased the ticket on 9th of august for 20th of august so if I know we need the ticket on 19th I can purchase anytime but they said we don’t need ticket for 19th. The reason for writing the feedback to derby theatre because they arranged everything which we come to know from people outside .

been here twice for lunch in the last couple of months. My friend and I found the food to be lovely and reasonably priced. the sandwiches had plenty of filling. the service was very good

Went to see the Dennis Skinner play. It was excellent. The setting, sound and lighting was very innovative and the actors well talented and well worth the journey from Hull.

Derby Theatre puts on a wide variety of plays most of which I enjoy but as a teaching theatre there very few comedies most plays seem to want to educate me rather than entertain

Wonderful to see live performances again. Lovely venue and facilities and staff great too.

Went to see Andy Parsons finishing his pre Covid tour Healing the Nation. Very funny, we really enjoyed it. Though to be fair getting out anywhere is a bonus these days! The theatre is quite small which makes it ideal for stand up comedy, the intimacy is pleasing.

Great shows at great prices well worth a visit if only for a coffee.

Stqff are always welcoming, a very personal feeling stage experience as your always in a good spot to see. I like rows j and k. Sound is fabulous and the seats are very comfortable. A very pretty stage ! My daughter proformas on the stage so even more special for me :) Thank you Derby theatre for being there with your Continued entertainment.

Still amazing. Little disappointed in there not being drinks on tap anymore in the bar but lovely as per.

It was so nice to visit again the Derby Theatre. We always love to go there. It is nice place where go with kids. Always lovely atmosphere and people and staff. Very nice Caffe.

Really good events on brilliant

We had the privelege of watching Treasure Island and we loved it. There was humour, music and a fair few 'arrrgghhhs' during the performance. It was also 'deaf friendly', which I thought was a fantastic addition to the play itself.

Just been to watch treasure Island and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed the show. The actors were amazing playing instruments singing and dancing. A few of the actors were deaf and was signing and talking. The only thing I didn't like was the couple of bigots sitting at the back of us saying the worst they've been too and they couldn't understand what some actors were saying well to that couple have a little respect for what these amazing people are doing. If you would have read up on the show before attending you would have known some actors were deaf/partialy deaf and they would be signing through the show. It didn't stop you returning for the second half.

Very helpful, friendly team. My 8 year old daughter was very very anxious about an impending school trip. I emailed the theatre who were more than happy to help and arranged a familiarisation visit for myself and my daughter. They were really supportive and made my daughter feel completely at ease. Thanks so much - couldn't rate you highly enough.

Brilliant night at the theatre. Great music and acting. I can recommend Treasure Island.

Fabulous production and theatre. Brought the grandchildren to see Treasure Island which, because I didn't see any recommended age for viewing thought would be OK. The children are 7 and 5 years and there were many much younger children in the audience. Whilst my grandchildren have been to the theatre before and enjoyed this experience with the 7 year old completely enthralled, the 5 year old struggled but was helped by his brother's enthusiasm (and chocolate). I'd prefer to have more obvious age recommendations please and as I wasn't the only one with a younger child, I don't think I'll be alone in that. Overall though really glad we went and the acting quality was brilliant 👏 👌 🙌.

Comfortable and accessable (we are of a certain age) and we enjoyed the evening.

Had a great time watching a very eery show. Dracula. Incredible time.

Loved the performance Dracula untold, however poor and missed communication from unhelpful staff, felt rushed in and out of venue. Uninviting carpark entrance to theatre via shopping mall, very small overpriced bar won't be returning.

Great night at the theatre watching Giles Brandriff. Well worth a visit to see the incredible shows that they put on.

Brilliant Cat and the Canary was fantastic

We went to see Rush Theatre Company. What a fabulous evening. The show is highly recommended. The venue is great and so easy to access too. They even had an ice cream person come out during the interval, which was reminiscent of childhood

Seats very uncomfortabje for disable persons, have to stretch legs out using end seats on aisles.

Excellent performance, saw cat and the canary, I can recommend . Theatre is open and airy, (meaning safer in covid times) is upstairs and has a lift. There's also a cafe and a bar.

Derby Theatre has such a great atmosphere.The play the Cat and the Canary was excellent. My only disappointment was the café. The coffee was disgusting! Took an age to arrive.

Put on a show here last week. Great venue and very helpful staff.
