Costa Coffee in Derby

Everything arrived as I asked it to be very polite delivery driver

So outdated and dirty....the building is amazing a shame they don't bring it up to date ....I will always go to a clean and up to date coffe shop

Time suggested 15-30 mins but kept changing delivery time to adjust, from ordering took 50 minutes to arrive

Located in the heart of Derby City center is this spacious (relatively) café that serves decent coffee (quality of coffee could improve) with above average and friendly customer service. Place is almost always packed, they have comfortable couch seating in the corner along with the regular chairs and tables. Good place to hang out, or get some work done. Also available here are a range of food products by M&S. The flapjacks here are sweeter and my son says yummier than the ones by M&S.

Very rude supervisor (I’m not sure ,guy with glasses) on a power trip , telling me to leave because I brought my cat and she was in her carrier sleeping not even making noise and I’ve brought her 3 times , will never come back, only come if u want to feel bullied

Why oh why can’t people who work in fast food restaurants read ? I ordered a cheese and tomato toasty and got some weird flavoured panini that I had to eat as my sausage rolls were delivered stone cold I’ve now got to go into battle to get a refund. At least they got my drink right and the delivery rider was very polite. This is my first time ordering from Costa and it’s going to be my last

Morning 8:30 am. Costa in Derbion on the lower floor. The waitress is puffy and reluctant. I wanted to change the cutlery knife as it was dirty, she could not find a clean one. I asked him to wash it with hot water, rolled his eyes and just steamed the knife. Where are the days in this Costa where pleasant smiling people worked. I work in a restaurant, but I always smile at people, even when I'm not laughing. It's not people's fault that I don't feel well.

There were some items not available and were swopped for other items, a note was put in to alert, but I wud have rather got a phone call or a text, as the swopped items contain ingredients that can’t be eaten and as such have had to be given away .

Greeted Politely and respectful of my property by closing my gate.

They only employee beautiful people I noticed it very particularly with there choice of staff this is a good thing as they choose nice friendly people mainly never met a Costa staff member with a I don't want to be here attitude. And the frappes are nice but fat in a pot lol

I sheltered here from the pouring rain early in the new year. Welcoming staff, good coffee and a nice armchair by the window to watch the world go by!

We went in before work to kill some time we were unaware that we had to buy something to sit down, we had an energy drink and an empty McDonald’s bag and the assumed manager was immediately confrontational, stating we were “taking the piss” and was strongly implying we had to leave, we were immediately apologetic and purchased something, he was then really short with us and we felt we had to leave, no need for instant aggression, very poor behaviour

Driver delivered all incorrect items and was talking incessantly on phone while handing it over with no explanation

Always here , great place , excellent friendly staff , been to other Costa's and non as good as this , look forward to coming for coffee 10/10

I have PTSD and had a flashback in the queue. The staff were lovely. Particularly one young member of staff who remained really calm and helped me to the toilets. I was able to get through the flashback quicker as she was so calm and kind. She offered to take me to the back but I preferred the toilets as they’ve a lock and it makes me feel safe. she got me a cup of ice, the cold sensation helps me stay in the present and I’m pretty sure I forgot to pay for my coffee. It meant so much to me to not feel embarrassed. Absolute angels.

Got a call from a member of staff at this location after placing my order to tell me that one of the items I ordered wasn't available. This wasn't much of an issue but they were very apologetic and offered to swap the item for me and made sure to check if there were any dietary requirements etc. The order arrived very swiftly afterwards and we received a lovely note on an extra bag further apologising with a couple of extra sweet treats to make up for it. As much as I was okay with the change, the gesture was lovely and very much appreciated.

Coffees were spilled everywhere cheese and beans toasties were freezing cold

Drinks did get here half full I think they need a better way of protecting them from spilling

The delivery driver went down the wrong street then I had to chase him and he still got the wrong number! Food was COLD! Doesn’t take line to get from the city to my house the guy took almost an hour!

Brilliant customer service and considering it’s a difficult location to find he was amazing

went in today, asked for an ice latte and got a hot drink which was fine but the woman who took my order, gingerish hair, fringe, was extremely rude claiming that’s not what i ordered and when giving me the drink she didn’t even look at me and slammed it on the counter. will not be going back, horrible staff and tense atmosphere.

It's such a shame that the outside table and chairs have been taken away for good, will not be the same, infact it was a big mistake, and Amy one of the staff was brilliant today given the way she dealt with complaints about this matter from customers coming in and leaving because they couldn't drink outside.

Drinks came wrong with the wrong sizes ordered mediums all came small

£4.60 for a small coffee frappe? It was tiny for the price. It’s my go to order and usually is a regular, so was a bit disappointed.

If only i could put no stars , Stated it was nearby for 10.18 am, by 10.40 still no food, my mobile wasn't called, my number was left and asked for a phone call if my office couldn't be found on delivery notes. By 10.44 it was down as delivered , I've still no order and can't get hold of the of the shop number invalid . Not impressed

The Drinks never turned up I will be raising a complaint and I want a refund, the driver rang up and said he was at the wrong place then hung up and when I rang him back he hung up again then blocked my number

Excellent food and coffee was just right. Always brilliant customer service and delivery apart from yesterday!!

I love Costa but I was skeptical about getting it delivered with the risk of spillage in transit. Everything was packet well and good precautions for potential spillages. Things meant to be hot were hot, and the cold things were cold - all in separate bags to keep them at temperature. The Mac n cheese boxes are incredible btw ;)

Good as always but they need to up their game. Tim Hortons is slowly catching up

Had to reorder due to the driver spilling our drinks. Costa sent an apology and also 2 free cakes. Thank you Costa great service as usual.

I was served with 2 coffees and cookie, literally just sat down and was told to move they were closing. Why not tell us that they were closing before serving us, think I know the answer to that.

Small , open been coming here years , the only thing I find about this Costa , my main gripe , is if you are on your own , and waiting to be served , some people stroll up and put a bag or something at a table , to kind of reserve it , meanwhile you have been waiting to be served for 5 mins at the counter , one table left , and bam !! Along comes Mr Jones , wacks his carrier bag on chair and all of a sudden you are buying a take out , instead or sitting down people watching , but other wise I rate this Costa

Pleasant coffee experience in Derbion mall. This is situated in open space and has got decent amount of seats.This is a good place for hot sandwiches and cold drinks.

One of the drinks was undrinkable as the restaurant had not marked which one had the soya milk in it. So the vegan who ordered it did not want to risk drinking a drink which may have had milk in.

No complaints about the order, however the delivery driver rang to ask me to come out and collect the order, asked him to bring it to the front door as unable to leave the reception at work unattended. He refused and said he wasn't allowed, when I managed to find some cover, went out to fetch the order he wasn't even outside, but on a side street a few hundred yards away

An open plan Costa establishment within the Derbion Shopping Centre - Derby. Friendly and helpful staff. Same quality coffee you get in other Costa premises.

Finally managed to get a Terry's chocolate orange hot chocolate after always finding them out of stock last year it was awesome. Friendly helpful staff.

Coffee wasn't too clever and didn't get the food we ordered

We visited this very busy cafeteria in the heart of Derby. The staff were very pleasant and efficient but it was difficult for them to serve customers and keep up with the clearing of tables as well.  Excellent coffee as usual with the added bonus of a nice view of the church and people walking by.

Staff very helpful and doing there best. Outstanding products. The only issue is the amount of staff, not only is a 45 min wait normal to get served, the owners must be losing thousands of pounds an hour with the hundreds Of people who see the cue and walk out.

Both hot chocolates came with no whipped cream very very disappointed

Disappointed that no panini or toastie options were available. I had a bacon roll more in desperation than choice but it was good. Having just completed the Derby 10 mile race I was too exhausted to seek food elsewhere. The aero rocky road is great

The service is incredibly slow, the woman was rude and when I ordered my drink and asked for the free cake she made me scan the code then proceeded to charge me for the cake and then told me my code doesn’t work but made me scan it again and it did? They clearly don’t know what they are doing in there…. I’ve had several bad experiences in this specific costa

Normal Costa coffee. Downside is the small number of seats

Incomplete and spilt, order of coffee delivered by a cyclist, not the smartest idea. Just Eat have offered a measly £3.50 compensation for poor service and incomplete order. I’ll leave you to decide whether this is a company that deserves your business.

Came at the last minute without being late. After making it 10 minutes longer anyway. Food was cold and hard. Couldn’t be eaten unless you wanted to lose a tooth. Coffee was warm at least. Not great, quicker from other Costa like spider bridge

Since costco changed their reward system from points to beans not good. Before I could exchange my points for coffee and food I can't do this. COFFEE ONLY NOT AGREAT IDEA NO MORE COSTA FOR ME.

It's alright. I love Costa but here it felt like the last thing the staff wanted was to make me a good cup of coffee. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Good coffee, but could do with some better coffee making.

I could have grown coffee beans quicker than the service here. Maybe if staff spent more time working than talking the que would be smaller?

My golden caramel frostino with light dairy swirls, was an absolute mess when it arrived to me from the driver, it wasn’t a full drink as it was only half a drink. Took nearly an hour for a driver to be found after placing the order with the restaurant. What an absolute joke.

Order was wrong but just eat sorted it quickly and refund the money to my account for me to use immediately.

I ordered this at 2.00 and it didn’t come till 15.00 I expect my order to be on time my drinks were melted

Missing items. Was cold when arrived. Ordered a hot chocolate with all the paid extras. Never recieved and only 3/4 full

I had the breakfast meal deal, with coffee and a bacon roll. The food was served promptly and with a smile. The restaurant was clean and had a sanitising station at the door. The coffee served in Costa restaurants is excellent, highly recommend a visit.

Polite and friendly staff. Not a long wait for your order.
