Coming back from a site visit I needed a quick meal. The food took a while to come but that was because it was specially cooked. I found the fish and chips and cup of tea really excellent. Food for the Gods!

If you have given up on life this is a great place to eat. Good food, good staff. I recommend not taking a first date here, or any date but you are sad and lonely it is a reasonable place to treat yourself to food.

Visited this cafe in the afternoon on a Saturday. Apart from the three of us there were not many other customers and so the cafe was not busy. There was only one member of staff. We ordered two cheese and onion toasted sandwiches, a baguette with beef filling and another baguette.After we had paid for our food we sat and waited for it to be bought to our table, this took a very long time to arrive. We were extremely disappointed with the food, both toasted cheese sandwiches and the baguette with the beef were inedible. We complained and were offered a partial refund although this was complicated by the fact that the server had thrown away the receipts and had to call an Asda manager. He had trouble in making the till work and so we had to go to Customer Services where we eventually got some money on a gift card. I want to make it clear that none of this was the fault of the staff but to an extremely bad choice of food on offer and of the management of the restaurant. There server was very pleasant but did not appear to be very well trained.

Big clean well-lit area with varied seating. Menu choice and specials/promos clearly displayed. Cashier and the other staff who warmed up the food not very friendly, surly even. Kids menu nice but included crisps so jury's still out on that. Fish and chips was a generous portion, shared between 2 still filling, and the moist fish in crunchy batter was excellent for where we were. But lasagne after being warmed up had mushy filling and dry pasta, not appetising.

By accident, I ended up in Asda, because I had to buy something in a hurry, needed a bit of a chill, cafe advertised at the door, so got what I needed and went up to the cafe, where a lovely lady with a Jamaican accent, served me some welcome and rather reasonably priced food with a spectacularly beautiful smile, how can you go wrong with that? Thank you Asda Café.

Stopped for a quick cuppa and catch-up with a mate for a bit. Friendly as ever. The service was good

Very nice ,clean place ,we got a great ,super portino of fish and Chips ,lovely made ,very nice taste and ,really good in Price and view ! liek thta very very much

Time of meal: Midday Day: Sunday I have not used this Cafe in nearly a year because we found the portions getting smaller (from what was previously served) and therefore not filling.On this visit after paying for our meal (you pay first before eating) I asked for some paper towels ( I used the word tissues) which are normally provided with a meal. The reply, to my unpleasant surprise, there was none. My thoughts to this was a place like this an ASDA Cafe did not have tissues for the customers to wipe themselves while dinning. Poor showing. Further the staff I asked for the tissues did not seem to care and answered matter of factly with no apology for the inconvenience The Tomato ketchup in the reciprocals (provided in small sachets) were gone too. I did not venture to ask for them suspecting the same reply: none. No ketchup was no good as the meals we ordered included beans. chips and pies (which were enjoyable in themselves). Its hard to imagine these things consumed without much the loved and can't-do-without (especially so the children) red sauce. The garlic bread provided came unheated. What a disappointment, as such thing should come hot. As with many catering facilities provided to big name organizations the catering service is by a contractor: Campus in UK and Ireland, Not a company unknown to me as I worked them for a few years until last year. I can say this is not their normal standard. Certainly this mega caterer could run the stock controlled far better in this superstore. . As for thej dinning area it was spacious. Certain big gapes between tables. You don't have to squeeze to get you table. And of the non-food staff there is free WI-FI.
