The staff are purposely rude and the bog standard food is fluffed with pretentious names. The coffee is fine, and the food is wildly overpriced. You’re fooled if you pay full price and assume that’s good value. I’m embarrassed for whoever threw up the concept.

I visited the new ‘milk run’ bakery for breakfast with my brother, as we were searching for somewhere to sit and some hot drinks alongside some pastries. I walked in and immediately saw the type of bakery it was - modern, clean with a high-end aesthetic feel to it. I chose a cappuccino, my brother a hot chocolate plus a lemon curd bun and croissant. The lemon curd bun was delicious and very tangy and fresh but my croissant could have had a touch more flavour and butter to it - both looked stunning however. The most disappointing aspect were the drinks - which tasted great but with only one size on offer - they were quickly finished. Considering the prices are very much in line with central London - with a plain croissant costing £3.50 and a pain suisse £5, it would be nice if they had 2 drink sizes. I appreciate that the small glass mugs match the elegance of the venue but customers want to savour their coffee (especially when paying £3.50) whilst enjoying a pastry or two.. I would possibly come back if in the area but only for a takeaway pastry.

Just tried Milk's new cafe Milk Run which doesn't seem to be on Trip Advisor yet. Delicious pastries, really lovely coffee. Totally appalling service. I was unable to carry my coffee and pastry together to my table. To which the barista said to me: 'feel free to make two trips.' When I returned to collect my pastry I asked if she would be able to clear the table for me as there were two coffee glasses on it. She looked at me for a second or two, and then replied with: 'yeah - in a few minutes.' Whilst I was at my table, I saw the same waitress walk outside and cuddle a dog on the street. I couldn't quite believe that she wouldn't help me carry my coffee and pastry to my table and said 'feel free to make two trips', but was prepared to walk onto the street to pet a dog. Very disappointing and upsetting.

Lovely food. Had the special pancakes and some orange juices very reasonably priced. Great atmosphere. Quick service. Partner got their sausage muffin thing which they said was delicious - certainly looked it. It’s worth going.

Keep getting dragged here, told there was no WiFi. Not an issue but it sums up this place is aimed at a particular type of clientele. Essentially if you are female and want to have random stuff in your food like peashoots and asparagus you'll love milk. If queuing makes you feel like you are going somewhere "cool" you'll love milk. If you want to corner someone to talk about Balham property prices and selling a flat with a dodgy leasehold charge you'll love milk. I went to brickwood.

My wife had looked out this place before I joined her for a couple of days staying with friends who live quite nearby. Excellent flat whites & pastries - well worth a return visit, which I tried late the next afternoon but unfortunately they were closed.

I go to M&S minimum twice a week for lunch. I really like Caesar salad with a smoothie. Today I was very disappointed. The lettuce today was soggy, my croutons were soft and the dressing was watery. Listen, you are nailing lunch at the moment...please don't drop your level
