I came to panda mami with two others and we had a wonderful experience. Everything was perfect from the atmosphere to the food and our service was outstanding. Our server, Sumeet, was extraordinary and was always there when we needed him. The food was amazing and the selection was super. You could find almost anything you wanted.

Panda Mami is hands down the best all-you-can-eat experience! The food variety is incredible, with everything from fresh sushi to indulgent desserts, all of exceptional quality. The ambiance is spacious and welcoming, but what truly stood out was Sumeet’s outstanding customer service. He went above and beyond to make our dining experience unforgettable—attentive, friendly, and professional. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Good place to eat international cousins. I came often but this tame was the best day.

Very poor went on a Sunday at around 18.30 but the food stations were nearly empty with dried up food that looked like it had been there all day. This was a birthday meal which was embarrassing which spoilt a lovely day, I complained directly next day by email when asked to give a review because I don't really like to give negative reviews but have recieved no reply hence this review

It was a very quiet Monday, only a handful of people in. Liked the Chinese section. Didn't try anything else. A little more expensive, but it is York. Easy walking from the centre over the bridge.

It was our first time of coming in and the experience was remarkable. We were welcomed with a warm smile from Namrata and she gave us an excellent service. We will definitely visit again.

Staff were fantastic, kind, smiley. But that's all that's going for it. Food taste was abysmal. There was a TV slide with food being prepped and that looked so much more delish than the cold soggy tasteless choices on offer. What a mistake eating there. If going for lunch menu, limited choices. Just don't open for lunch.

Lovely buffet. Plenty of variety of different cuisines, they even had an English section with Yorkshire puddings and gravy. Deserts were delicious.

This is the worst buffet av ever been to left feeling sick me and my wife came for a weekend away from Glasgow and thought we would of go out for food but really disappointed with this place would not recommend after paying 54 pound for the food had to get a chip shop on the way back to hotel never again!!!!! Should of just walked out without paying it was the bad when paying staff didn't even ask if we enjoyed the meal they must know it's bad two !!!

Cold , awful food. Nothing restocked when empty absolutely awful, 2 chairs at table had short legs on one side so were wonky. In response to the reply stating see you again , I wouldn’t eat here again if my life depended on it !!!

Really let down. Went for a birthday meal as had heard good things. We were met with cold food, having to ask chefs multiple times for hot food. Dry, stale food, especially the chicken. A piece of pizza that was completely uncooked, just pure dough. Worst of all the food had small flies on it. And not a few, a disgusting amount. We spoke to the manager who informed us they had just had pest control in?! Worrying!!!! The food was such a let down and the cleanliness was awful. Really disappointed.

Went lunch time on a friday. Not all the stations were serving food, but you expect that when its not busy. But what we did have was really tasty and very well presented. And all the staff couldnt have been nicer. Will try again in an evening next time. And I expect it will be even better.

The restaurant offers different styles of food (including cooking in front of you) that will satisfy all tastes. Plus a nice view if you're on a riverside table. Enjoy

We went in on a whim as we were in York on a daytrip. They were all very nice. Our waitress Rachel was attentive & when I dropped my bag smashing my water bottle with water & glass all over the floor, in the process all the staff were quick & sincerely attentive

Initially there were issues with the queue however the staff resolved this quickly. food was all good apart from a child was dipping marshmallows into the chocolate fountain, licking the chocolate off and then dipping the marshmallows back into the chocolate fountain. Ice cream was also melted.

Great range of foods despite visiting at lunchtime when they unashamedly offer a reduced selection for an incredibly low price - stunning value! Chinese style dishes were good, the even wider range of excellent indian dishes were a pleasant surprise. Drinks and table clearance provided by a very friendly and efficient waitress - thank you Rachel.

Went in at 13.40. Half the food containers empty, not much choice, we were told they stop cooking at 13.30 so we only the left overs, but payed full price.

Nice food and good for the kids with the desserts and chocolate fountain. Good variety of food, although no cheese and tomato pizza for fussy kids. Very good service from Sumeet and the team.

We came to Panda Mami York for a special occasion: our little boy’s 4th birthday. Sadly, it didn’t turn out as we’d hoped. Arriving at 6 pm on a Saturday (when prices are highest), we were expecting a full spread, but that wasn’t the case. The sushi section, which we were especially looking forward to for starters, was almost empty with only ten pieces available. As a family of five, we quickly finished what was there, but it took about 25 minutes for the trays to be refilled—only with a small amount. It was the same with the salmon and prawns; the entire section was bare from 6:15 to 7 pm. Clean plates were also in short supply, which just added to the frustration. After a 45-minute journey to get there, it was disappointing that such popular items weren’t restocked promptly, especially on a busy Saturday evening. The lack of attention to these details left us feeling let down, especially with our son’s birthday celebration not going as planned. Based on this experience, we’re not planning to return.

Asked staff what a certain food was and I got ignored. Good looked neglected and poorly by the time I’d chosen what I wanted it was cold before sitting down. Also the inside literally stank of sewage!!! Will not be returning.

Visited as a group of 8 at lunch time. Staff friendly, especially Namrata. Kids loved. Food tasty but quite a lot of the sections with not much on, probably better on an evening. Good you can keep going back. Pudding options could be better, there wasn't too much I fancied.

Really disappointed with our visit. We arrived mid lunch service had booked they weren't even bothered, the staff couldn't even raise a smile it all seemed to much. The food was heavily reduced in selection, depleted and not being replenished with any efficiency some was barely warm and with many foods labeled completely wrong. After 45mins my daughter asked for the cucumber for the duck pancakes to be replenished, a staff member came over to our tabk3 and told her to take it off the salad bar and donit herself!!! For the amount they charge compared to other places we have been around the country I felt it was really poor. Made worse by the fact it's all on show for later like " look at what you could have had!" When I booked there was no mention of a reduced menu. The best thing about this restaurant is how fast they clear the tables. We WONT be returning.

Kayley is a lovely and very friendly girl, excellent at her job.the food was good, great to see so many different cuisines....drinks were great....as a group of 8 we were sat together which was good for us.the variation of Indian, Chinese, Thai, sushi, pizza, salad, desserts, carvery, British dishes, .desserts include fresh fruit( melon, grapes, oranges) ice cream in tubs, several hot desserts( sticky toffee pudding, apple crumble , bread and butter pudding. Custard along with cream.jelly, mousses, chocolate fountain with white marshmallows.

This is my second time here and the selections still overwhelms me. I mostly chose sea food as they are really nice. I love the calamari from teppanyaki section. They also serve sashimi and squid salad 🥰 and of course they have various desserts to choose from. I think I had sugar rush. They also offer free coffee 😉

Visited on an evening in the week and it was quiet. Huge selection. Some of the food could have been fresher. Recommend visiting when busier as I’m sure the turnover would be quicker.
