Lovely food. Good value portions. We ate in. Would recommend.

Wanted to go here but cannot as they do not serve anything halal which is very outdated. Staff are very friendly. Please change to halal meat as there are many customers wanting to come here but cannot as none of your meat are slaughtered humanely the halal way. Thanks.

First visit to this restaurant and I will definitely be returning! Delicious food and friendly attentive service. I can’t recommend it highly enough .

Out with friends tonight. First time for all of us at this restaurant. Delicious food, had a mix of dishes, loved the Thai sweet corn cakes- big serve, probably ok to share. Loved the chicken chow mein, the masaman curry. We were the only people restaurant which was a shame. Lovely staff too, and reasonable prices, cheaper than Melbourne where I live.

We had a really lovely meal here. The staff were friendly and atmosphere was excellent. I had the massaman lamb and coconut rice. it was amazing.

What a lovely restaurant! We cane here for my husband’s birthday meal. We weren’t disappointed. We really enjoyed the meal and it was very generous portions! The service was attentive and welcoming. We all had different starters and the mains were so big we couldn’t finish but we were offered to take home. I would thoroughly recommend this to my family and friends! I have been dying to try this malaysian food. Was married to a malaysian man. Been to malaysia several times. Food was tasteless and over cooked. Will not be ordering again. Rubbish. One very disappointed customer.

Here’s the reply @Pan Guru, my name would not show up on your order list, as my partner paid the bill.. You might remember us, we were 3 people who came in late; and you were about to close. We ordered a Thai pineapple fried rice and Singapore style vermicelli.. Glad that you were kind enough to prepare the same as a take out order.. We did mention it very clearly that we are vegetarian - no meat, no fish, no egg, no oyster sauce.. We were shocked to see eggs in the food - you can imagine how frustrated someone would be, if they had to sleep hungry.. We did come back within a few minutes, to return the order, but you were closed. We come from a culture where fresh food is not something eligible to go to a trashcan.. We tried hard to pass the dinner to someone.. thankful that we passed it on for free to a kind man, a food hub delivery guy. This 1 star marks my gratefulness, that you did not turn away your customer. But you lost the remaining stars, as you couldn’t cater to our request..

It's a very nice experience, friendly staff, prawn crackers served as complimentary which tasted very nice. Food was very yummy 😋 and drinks were at reasonable price too. It gets busy so I recommend to book the table before going there. Walk in are welcomed. Did not get much time to try the deserts but will definitely visit again.

This little spot was such a good find, lovely & great service, delicious food! They Welcomed us in even when they was nearly closing but didn’t effect the quality of the food or service! Will definitely be going again and telling my family and friends! Authentic and really tasty food. Friendly staffs who didn’t rush us even though we arrived just before the kitchen normally closes. We had the beef rendang, laksa and rice all of them was so delicious and Difficult to pick a favourite when they were all so good - we’ll be back!

Stumbled upon this hidden gem with a few Malaysian friends on last Saturday.There's plenty of variety to choose from and they all tasted excellent. Highlight of the night was beef rendang, coconut rice , satay chicken, Will definitely visit again if I'm near the area.

Had a lovely 😍 early dinner with my friend Sharon. It was my first visit and hope to have many more. I had the beautiful Malaysian chicken with noodles. Takeaway. Was really hopeful after reading the lovely reviews, but found what we ordered to be quite bland and disappointing. Pad Thai was stodgy, no crushed peanuts, couldn’t see any beansprouts. Massaman curry was tasteless. Salt and pepper squid, batter was far too heavy. Smoked shredded chicken was equally disappointing. First and last venture here for us.

We are international students from Indonesia and studying here at Greenwich University.one of our friends who lives in Croydon shared his experience at Pan guru and suggested to visit there. Therefore we are a group of friends have been to there and it was amazing experience than we expected.what a delicious food!!all the dishes we tried same flavour as back to home. We would highly recommend Malaysian mamak lamb,Thai green chicken curry,Massaman lamb. Nasi goreng.Really worth to visit and will never be disappointed. We will come back with our other Malaysian Indonesian friends

I have been to pan guru on Tuesday with my uni friends. The food is delicious and service keeps high standard. Very helpful staff. Massaman lamb,Nasi goreng are so yummy . Highly recommend

I absolutely love this place. The food and the customer service is spot on ! We were served by Shan who was extremely polite and went the extra mile for us. Nothing was an inconvenience for Shan. If you want good food, great atmosphere and good service pan guru is the place to go to Thank you again Shan for your service and kindness. Absolutely amazing food!! I highly recommend their nasi goreng and crispy shredded chilli beef.the price is reasonable for the huge portion.Definitely worth it! The dessert I felt could of been better, but that's just my opinion.But definitely amazing! Perfect for a celebration or date night!

Recently had the opportunity to dine atPan guru. We asked if the meats were Halal (religious requirement for Muslims). Sadly they didn't have that option however I was very impressed with management, who personally spoke with us. Our server shan guided us through all the options on the menu including what ingredients each had, making it very easy to select dishes in line with our dietary restrictions.

Was looking forward to this takeaway as I love Malaysian, Thai and Chinese so was very excited about this restaurant opening in Caterham. Finally got to try the restaurant and I am baffled! Not sure if any of the reviewers on here have actually eaten real authentic Malaysian, Thai and Chinese food before but I found the food very very disappointing. I adore Laksa especially as I can make a decent one myself after being taught by a close Malaysian friend, but I always think if someone else can cook a good one for me then even better! Sadly Pan Guru's Laksa was not good at all. Sure it was edible but it was lacking in a lot of ingredients to make it a great one. It felt like a budget one made with a shop brought paste. The hot and sour soup was even worse. Again it was edible but if you've had real Chinese Hot and Sour soup you will know it shouldn't contain doubanjiang paste from a jar which this one clearly does as that was all I could taste! If you love the doubanjiang taste then you will love it, but in my opinion, it is a lazy ingredient to add if you don't want to make the hot and sour soup from scratch, which a restaurant should definitely be doing! Their Siu Mai was the thing that made me really annoyed. So expensive for what seemed to me like as if they were the frozen kind you can buy from Wing Yip. If they weren't, then I sincerely apologise but they really were not great! The whole meal was a disappointment. I wonder if I just went on a bad night as the majority of the previous reviews seems to like the food? Very strange! Each to their own I guess! Looks like I will have to carry on going to London for my Malaysian fix. Thai and Chinese food, we have better ones in the surrounding area. Maybe I will give Pan Guru another try at a much later date but it will have to be a good while as I do hate wasting hard earned money on disappointing food.

Trust me you won’t get disappointed, full of flavour and taste with excellent presentation, it made my day. Plus the ambience was perfect. Hosts were really polite and helpful. I will definitely come back again

We normally order take-away/delivery a couple of times a week and as we have had a flyer for this restaurant, we decided to try it. My wife ordered the food and I picked it up about 20 minutes later. The rices (Jasmine & Coconut) were fine and plentiful, the free prawns crackers were excellent BUT the curries (King Prawn Malaysian Mamak and Lamb Massaman) were mostly sauce with hardly any prawns or lamb/NO aubergine and uncooked onion--as it was our first time ordering here, we were very disappointed .

My wife and I decided to try the food in this new restaurant as a take-away --Hopefully the food is a lot better eating in. The rice we ordered was excellent and very plentiful (Jasmine and coconut) as well as the free Prawn Crackers. However, the main courses of King Prawn Malaysian Mamak and the Lamb Massaman, left a lot to be desired.They were mostly sauce with hardly any Lamb or Prawns, no Aubergine and barely cooked onion so we were very disappointed.

I have been to pan guru with my friends last night and the staff were suggested us their best dish from the menu which is Beef Rendang and Massaman Lamb with coconut rice👌.It was fantastic and the staff also did great service and I’ll definitely come again.

Friendly welcome. Knowledgeable waiter. Delicious food and ample serving. Only minus was wine glass was 250 ml, which is too much if driving or frankly doesn't want so much.

This place is amazing.. we have now eaten here a few times since it opened. Food ,service,staff are all 100% excellent. Portions amazing everything we ordered so far we have loved and we are very fussy eaters .What we love is the fact we now have a choice to walk out locally for dinner which has never happened since we moved here(we have tried )Highly recommend PAN GURU

A fabulous restaurant serving a great selection of Thai, Chinese and Malaysian dishes. The restaurant is bit smaller. Therefore I would recommend booking as it can get very busy. Service was very quick and the team were all very polite and attentive. I had the chicken satays followed by malasian curry laksa .Both were superb and a very generous portion too.incredibly tender and amazing flavour. I would highly recommend Pan guru to anyone who enjoys asian food but wants to try something a little different

Pan Guru is definitely going to be one of the best restaurants in Caterham. The food is so flavorful and delicious. Many choices and fairly priced for amazing dishes we have tried. Put through a large order via their website. Food arrived in a timely manner considering how much we ordered and tasted amazing!! I thought there was a mistake with a couple of items and phoned to discuss and they were very open. In the end the mistake was mine so I must apologise! Would highly recommend!!

Had dinner here tonight, it was really good quality and tasty. We ordered 4 dishes and had the rest packed to take away as portions were large. Service was great and not intrusive. Great to have a local place to eat. Book on a Friday or Saturday. So many dishes to try.

I went there last week and had such a good meal. The food was amazing and the staff looked after us as if we were family. I would totally recommend a visit. The orange chicken is a must!

The food was lovely. Loads of different flavours and all fresh ingredients. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive whilst not being invasive whilst you eat. If I have any negative comments about eating there it's that the chairs are very uncomfortable and need cushions. Also as this is an old building there are no disabled facilities. The toilets are down a flight of 14 very narrow stairs.

I would definitely go for 5 star because of the amazing food that's served here. The sesame prawn on toasts are good for starters and the noodles (chicken) was one of the best noodles I have had in this area.the portion is reasonable.the taste is excellent and comes with a lot of veggies. The service is also quite good, with staff being very warm, friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the place.

Incredible restaurant!!!! There were so many versatile dishes on the menu which took us a while to choose from (will come back agin :)) but the starters and nasigoreng, were incredible!! Staffs were all very lovely and the decoration of the restaurant was really cool as well. The price was quite affordable. Loved the experience and would love to come back in the future again!

Do not order from here! We were keen to support this new restaurant opening in Caterham but feel ripped off. 4 miniscule Dim Sum for £5.50, half a tray of Mongolian “Lamb” - no actual lamb to speak of actually and this was meant to be a main size. The s&s chicken was better but a very small portion. It arrived 40 mins late and stone cold with barely enough food for one and we had ordered for two. Disappointing.

Ordered my food 45 minutes in advance delivery time was 19.15 it’s not 20.15 and no sign of any food despite texts saying on my way and enjoy your food. This restaurant is a waste of space.
