the worst Lebanese food I ever tried in London. since when does sujuk look like it came from a can?! since when does muhamara come with peanuts?! an absolutely laughable farcicial mockup of Lebanese food. revolting.

Last minute decision as we were attending the Kew Gardens Christmas Light. Lovely meal and lovely people. Would recommend.

Excelent food, a really authentic experience both food and drinks. Impeccable service, cleanliness and attention to details. Definitely recommend it if you are in the Kew Gardens area.

Palmyra is my local Lebanese restaurant - authentic and reliable. The set meal option is extremely good value especially if you are hungry. You might find choosing just two mezze plus a main is enough. On our last visit we had the sea bass. Perfectly grilled large fish. It was as fresh as if it had been caught and got before

Our experience was at the start of the evening with the restaurant, so the ambiance was not very good at all.. 1 song is all they had to play, fortunately as the only guests, I was able to ask them to turn it off after they played it 10 plus times.. The service was also not great, the were feeding themselves, so not really paying attention to what we needed.. The absolute worst part of the experience, was to look over into the kitchen area and see the owner actually steal food off of my plate as the waitress was preparing to bring it out..

Service was just at start of evening, so might have been that they were organising their own food that got in the way. but………the worst part was seeing the owner take a piece of food from my plate (skewered chicken) and eat it before allowing the waitress to serve us. Music was same song on repeat… honestly no other song. I wish I had asked them to turn it off earlier and then played something off of Spotify Wine was okay though a little overpriced food tasted good.. yes the fact the owner stole some off the plate is proof of that though it was poorly presented and lacked additional ingredients such as a small side salad garnish with the starter or any sauces

Once again a fabulous Lebanese lunch courtesy of Palmyra in Kew Every time we oder they deliver ... us back to Lebanon ! They say 'Make Taboule not war', OK well somebody needs to put the UN in touch with Palmyra ... after you have tasted their food you will be at peace ! Done well traditional Lebanese food is the best, and Palmyra do it exquisitely

What a gem of a place this is. We were welcomed warmly by taff and management, who were very attentive,knowledgeable, and friendly. The food was amazing,and although we didn't have room for a dessert,complimentary Baklava tasters arrived,and we're delicious also. Many thanks to all the staff at Palmyra. Colin and Deborah.

A nice and small, neat and clean Lebanese restaurant serving very tasty food. Portion sizes for some starters are small. All food are freshly prepared and delicious. The menu is compact but contains all basic varieties like fish, lamb, chicken, vegetarian etc. There's a small selection of hot and cold drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic. There's plenty of free parking around the place. Per person spend for one drink, starter and mains is around £30 including 10% mandatory service charge

Very disappointed.booked table for 2 for lunch,arrived ,empty place, table was quite small, we asked to move to bigger table, waitress refused and said she can't as we r 2 and should sit on that table, she added if people of 4 arrive we will ask to move to smaller table, how rude..resturant was empty..we decided to leave and not to dine there, went to next door,they fit us in -even it was full- .I passed by this resturant later and was empty except for one table..never again.. A bad experience overall. I came here with a good friend on a weekday evening for dinner. The soft drinks served without any ice or lemon set the scene of what was to come. We had the okra in tomato sauce and tabbouleh salad as cold mezze starters then a shish taouk and beef and rice for the main. The tabbouleh and okra portions were very small and pretty mediocre in terms of flavour, certainly not worth the over £5 price tag. The mains were okay but again overpriced for what they were. The service was pretty mediocre with a waitress who was more interested in talking on the phone to her friend than in her paying customers. For that reason, paying the 10% 'service charge' felt a bit of an insult. No way I would ever come back or recommend this place to anyone. This is an overpriced takeaway trying to get away with restaurant prices but without the quality, service or atmosphere.

Had a Buy a Gift voucher and very glad we chose this restaurant to use it. Quiet as it was a week day lunch (apparently is busiest in the evenings.) Service was friendly and prompt despite having several takeaway orders. Menu has so much choice it took us a while to make up our minds! Would recommend Lebanese cuisine.

We had dinner at Palmyra on Sunday - what can we say. Food and Service was brilliant. So much food, non of us could eat it all - we were offered the option to take away the food we could not eat - trust me if we had not of been staying in a hotel we would have. We hope to return next time we visit London. Thank you.

Picked this place for it's proximity to Kew Gardens and had read some pretty good reviews but we were underwhelmed by our experience. We had booked, and did we arrive early, about 5.30pm, and although it was open it didn't look it. No lights, no music, no staff. Someone came out and showed us to a table but seemed completely indifferent about serving us. Lights and music came on but the music went off again and we had to listen to a lengthy (20 minute) phone conversation from someone in the kitchen. Conversation ended, music back on so assume the music was playing from their phone! No hand towels or toilet paper in the gents toilet. Another table came in whilst we were there, and after a lengthy wait, had to ask the lady serving to take an order. Food was actually OK, but nothing great, and the prices are reasonable but overall experience lets it's down so wouldn't recommend.

I had my wedding lunch here with my guests. Everyone was so happy with the food and the service. George was extremely kind and generous and ensured that all the food was vegan ( as per my request)! I would highly recommend his restaurant for a family meal or a party!

We’ve been to Palmyra a couple of times now, plus ordered from them for takeaways. Every experience has been delicious - food is authentic and fresh, service very friendly and helpful, and value is great for quality food in London. How lucky we are to have this on our doorstep! Would recommend to anyone.

Very impressed with the staff and service. We are here with a tight time window before going to see News Christmas Lights. One of our party was running late, the rest of our party was sat, we ordered and were served while we waited. Our last party member arrived and their food had been ordered to be served as they arrived. It was even kept hot as it took a bit longer to walk from the station than expected. Lovely friendly small restaurant with excellent food.

We visited palmyra on our mini honeymoon in the hope of trying something different and this place did not disappoint. Personally I have never felt so welcome at a restaurant and the staff were so friendly that it only added to our experience. The food is stunning and authentic, we haven’t eaten so well in a long time, I highly recommend the halloumi flat bread and the baklava. I can’t thank Palmyra for giving us the perfect night and we only wish we lived closer so could experience it all over again

I love this place just down the road from Kew Gardens station, I wish I had a bigger stomach so I could eat everything on the menu.

one of the worst places we have eaten in our 20 years in London. Rude service who could not be bothered despite us being the only occupied table in the restaurant. We could see the kitchen which looked dirty and unkempt. food was poor, I had a lamb mince dish which was spicy and overcooked with some thrown in raw onions and cucumber for a middle eastern effect. my partner had vegetarian mousakka which wad basically a stew of aubergine and tinned chickpeas in a tomato sauce with rice..distugusting Waitress was rude when I refused to pay a tip. avoid like the plague

This is our local Lebanese takeaway and we always enjoy the food - the mezze menu has a great selection and portions are super generous - I particularly like the tabbouleh and falafel. The service is very good - recently they accidentally mixed up the orders and we took someone else’s by mistake. When we returned it, they gave us our real order 10 minutes later, with some extras thrown in to apologise. That’s good customer service!

Not the best Lebanese I have tried (compared to Maroush). Portions were very small given the price paid for each item. Grilled chicken was so dry! Was surprised at the lamb shawarma - never seen any shawarma that looked like that before! Minced lamb skewer was ok but really small for the price (especially compared to the food from Faanoos in Chiswick/East Sheen).

We ordered a takeaway. It arrived cold, the chips had been squashed into a plastic container with lid, resulting in them being very soggy. The lamb and chicken shawarma were bland and the spinach pastry were thick and chewy all in all a completely flavourless and overpriced meal. I called to complain, the guy I spoke to was rude, unapologetic and said I shouldn't be so upset as £36 is not a lot of money to spend!! Definitely won't be ordering from here again.

The food I ordered for take away was great and I had the pleasant surprise to discover an extra of some delicious baklava pastries with my order. Thank you to Palmyra’s team for the amazing service and kindness!

We popped in for dinner, just the two of us, and found our waiter, Maher, to be very welcoming and helpful in our choice from the menu. We had the set meal for two, and oh boy! was it good. Such lovely flavours, deliciously prepared and presented. Do go.

Found the Palmyra by chance when looking for somewhere to eat near Kew Gardens tube station. The food was good and the clientele was genuinely interesting. We came away very well fed on delicious cold mezze and succulent and tasty lamb-based main courses. Strongly recommend this simple but popular and well-established restaurant

Testament to the dangers of going off google numbers only. Came here bc not much else was open on this day in Richmond -- 3.8 would admittedly usually not make the cut. Expectations were moderate and greatly exceeded. Four meals, four winners. Granted we were the only ones there for an early dinner, but service was excellent. Gratis olives and unlimited pita, decent cheap beaujolais, no dry meat!

Edible food if you have a strong stomach. Gave two family members bad stomachs. The chicken did not look lebenese more like blended doggy kibble served along side watered down drinks and kebab meat topping on your humous. Highly overpriced!!! Not recommended.

Really excellent food and attentive service. We had a mix of cold and hot mezze and chicken sheesh for the kids. The Lebanese wine was excellent we all really enjoyed the milk pudding with rose water and pistachios.

The food was amazing! We showed up a bit before they opened, and were promptly provided a spot to sit. The waiter/owner (maybe?) was a bit grouchy and not overly hospitable. All in all it was worth the visit.

A really tough decision to choose what to order as the selection offered was superb. We ended up with a number of hot and cold mezze accompanied by a bottle of delicious Lebanese wine. The service was amazing. Thank you for a great evening.

I visited Palmyra Restaurant with my partner and some friends last week. It was a really good experience. I never had Lebanese meal before, I had some chicken curry and really enjoyed it! The staff are very polite and professional. The music is very light and relaxing. The restaurant is very tastefully arranged and every table had a fresh flower. Highly recommend to anyone who likes good food and relaxing atmosphere!

Ordered mixed kebab and shawarma. Both were very disappointing and basically a rip off. Shawarma was just sautéed chicken and a tiny bit of salad and onion for £13.50 - not sure what about this dish is supposed to be Lebanese, this was definitely not shawarma.

Meerkat meals only applies when you call up not if u book online,?? this is the only restaurant on meerkat I have experienced that does this so far, it could have been made clearer. Food was ok but service wasn't the best I've experienced

We were pretty disappointed! The food was too quick, meaning that it wasn't cooked properly. Mixed grill was dry, the rice was a bit soggy and the pastries were thick and a bit chewy. Generally, I didn't think that you could mess up this type of cuisine to this extent. No wonder the place was empty...

Great food great value too much for me but my guest took a goody bag home we had a deal with open table who I booked through 2 starters 2 mains & 2 glasses of wine for £40.00 even allowed my lady friend to take the rose from the table vase home.

I had just returned from a trip to Lebanon the day before. A friend had made reservations at this Lebanese restaurant. While my trip did not focus on high end food options, Palmyra was a cut above. I ordered an appetizer and a main course listed as spicy but for my liking it could have been hotter. The Lebanese wine from the Bekaa Valley was good. Service was proper. I enjoyed the photos on the wall of places recently visited.

Don't take my word, go and try it if you like this style of cuisine, we do and go regularly which in itself tells you how much we enjoy it.

We had a buyagift voucher for two courses and a glass of wine for two. We were made to feel very welcome. The foid was delicious and the service excellent. The sausage starter, mixed grill and minced lamb kebab in a spicy sauce were delicious.

Normal service resumed , another great evening at this local gem, we will be back soon.

We go to this restaurant on a regular basis but on this occassion the normal chef was not cooking and we noticed straight away, both by the presentation and that the food was dry and lacked the taste we look for in lebaanise cuisine that we so much enjoy. What was most disappointing was we had brought friends with us so felt we had over sold the evening.

Palmyra is crowded at dinner (reservations suggested) but needs to be better known for lunch. My friend had seen it praised on TA and we found it easily, about 5 min from the station. (Follow sign to Kew Garden's Victoria Gate but take the first left & walk about 3min.) We decided to eat before walking for three hours in Kew Gardens and were so glad we did. A tiny place with cloth napkins, a real rose, and superb food cooked to order, yet inexpensive!!! We had kibbe (ground lamb & wheat germ freshly fried), spinach pastries, and muhamara, (ground sweet red pepper, delicious spices topped by almonds.) I had never had any of it before. We were amazed at the lovely place and surprised at the delicious food. Tiny pieces of baklava were a divine dessert. Cost 10gbp each including tea, dessert and beautiful ambiance inside.

Salad, possibly one lettuce leaf, half a slice of tomato.<br />Pleasant enough flavour, but oooh this is meagre. I&#039;ve had much better food, and a hugely better welcome, in caffs.<br />Overall feeling: it was a real nuisance they had to open for today&#039;s two customers.<br /><br />My search continues.

Authentic, quality Lebanese. These guys really care about what goes on the plate, and your experience. Seems the purpose of this place is to provide the best possible cuisine, in an ambiance great for a romantic evening or even just a night out to try some AMAZING food if you haven't already. Great chef, great owner, great staff. Overall very pleasant experience.
