This is only the second time I've been in here.. The last time was before lockdown, when we ordered coffee which was luke-warm. We complained and was met with a very curt reply, " we aren't allowed to make it too hot. Health and Safety!" We said we'd like it warming up but they refused. We came back today, as it appeared to be under a new name "Coffee Society" We had to pay an extra 60p per cup for oat milk, and again it was Luke warm. Had to order a pot of boiling water to warm it up ( which made it really weak. ) £8.45 for 2 drinks!!! Looking up, there were cobwebs everywhere, and it wasn't very clean. Never again.

Part of B and Q building but now gone. Their place has been taken by another business whose name escapes me.

Now known as Coffee Society and run by a different team, this place is an excellent venue to relax and enjoy a quality coffee and sandwich. The staff are lovely and always smiling despite having a tough job. The place is always very clean and tidy and speaks volumes about the pride the staff have of their workplace. Highly recommended!

Our Interserve man at The Royal Free Hospital was courteous, friendly and did a first class job of cleaning our ambulance. (As have been the staff at the North Middlesex Hospital on numerous other occasions).

It is somewhat ironic that in order to get a decent cup of coffee in and around Poole one has to visit a DIY store for satisfaction. Visits to B&Q elsewhere had usually been hardware focussed but the big banner in its Poole store enticed us into the small but perfectly formed Paddy & Scott’s franchise. Promotional stuff on the wall tells us that they do not compromise on their coffee and our experience tends to support that statement. They also provide a nice selection of sweet stuff, flapjacks and the like. You might also get a table overlooking the garden centre though this is a more dubious advantage. Whatever, P&S provide a very good cup of coffee when the need is greatest. A pity they don’ have the DIY store franchise nationwide.

Popped in for a coffee and a bite to eat straight away we thought that the coffee wasn't as good as it used to be. The atmosphere was unpleasant experience. The sausage bap wasn't cooked well and there was a black hair inside. Overall poor won't be coming back again.

Visited on a Sunday lunchtime and it was pretty busy with only one table available. You go to the counter to order and pay. There was a reasonable choice from a menu which is written up on a board above the counter. We chose a large cappuccino and Americano plus two bacon rolls. They also had a selection of toasted sandwiches and baguettes plus cakes. They give you a paddle with a number on it for your food order. The coffee was good, a nice tasty blend. The food arrived soon after and was really good, a nice brioche roll with plenty of bacon and tomato sauce in sachets to add as you require. All very good and far far better than our last visit.

Stopped by at about half ten for coffee and a sandwich. Coffee tastes appalling....nescafe instant would have been better! Cheese and tomato sandwich, sandwiched boxed but, when I opened the top layer of bread was stale (curled) and the cheese discoloured where it had been exposed to light, surprisingly dated as having been made that morning, very hard to believe!

Fine coffee and cake, friendly staff, but check out the cleanliness of the industrial lamp shades above the serving area ….. rife with dust, harbouring what? Who has responsibility for this? Good home for bacteria? Management should know better.

We often go to Paddy and Scotts at B&Q in Poole because the coffee is excellent, the staff friendly and efficient and the service is quick. There is plenty of seating. For morning coffee and a snack I really can't fault it.

Visited here recently whilst shopping in B&Q, not a bad word to say about anything the coffee is the best I've had nice and strong, the staff are very attentive to what they are doing and the lemon drizzle cake is to die for full of flavour and moist We will be returning next time we are in B&Q

The staff didn't seem to understand English very well and found it hard to answer simple questions. They were rude and abrasive when we asked if we wait for the coffees or they bring it over with the food. The cafe as a whole is run down and hugely over priced.

We stopped for a coffee here as it is adjacent to the large b and q in Poole. The coffee served was fantastic however tables were tricky to get and covered in pots. It made us chuckle too because the floor, furniture and environment of the restaurant was very tatty. Quite the opposite to the shiny new furnishings on sale in the b and q shop. It could do with a makeover particularly noted was the duck tape all over the flooring holding it together I think. The chairs were hard and room a bit damp and chilly . We would probably go again for convenience but not for a treat or special occasion.

Albeit useful to have a cafe inside B&Q;, I won't be visiting this cafe again. The lady serving appeared to be having an altercation with the scruffy chap toasting a panini (glad I didn't order any food) and on selecting a seat I was told the area was closed. Atmosphere and staff could generally be described as cold, insipid and underwhelming. Coffee prices punching well above their weight also.

Paddy and Scott's Cafe in B & Q's is just the right place for a relaxing coffee or tea and light meal stop. There is a comprehensive menu of snacks to enjoy whilst shopping in the Store. It has a very nice decor and helpful staff.

This coffee shop is within B&Q;, but is such a delight!!! Situated within the indoor plants and orchards, you don't feel at all like you're in a huge diy shop. It's often pretty quiet, so we think it's our little secret. Coffee is amazing, but it is strong!!! So if that's not your taste then order a Latte as opposed to a Flat White. We only ever order snacks, which are great, so can't review the hot food. Staff always friendly. Highly recommend. Xx

Firstly, I have to question the very negative reviews of late. My husband and I visit this cafe regularly (usually weekends)and we never have a bad experience. The coffee whether it be latte or cappuccino is always smooth and never bitter. It does have a strength to it as I would describe it as a robust flavour..I realise it's not everyone's taste though. The food is good - we recommend the toasted sandwiches. We also absolutely love the caramel apple cake. The staff are friendly and again, we find they are always attentive to cleaning the tables and floor. We love Paddy and Scotts.

Decidedly average. Maybe even a bit below average. If you're looking for good value for money and service with a smile, look elsewhere. My gripe with this place apart from the warm coffee is that I really don't like being called 'mate' by members of staff. A bit old fashioned of me probably, but I really think it is crosses a line. I know it's not haute cuisine, but still...

Nice to see the newly renovated cafe space within B&Q; so gave it a try. Food ok (toastie and sausage roll). Cake was nicer. However the coffee was the star -superbly smooth (both latte and cappuccino). The lady who made it was really friendly and we were interested to learn from her the 'art' of making a great cup of coffee. We enjoyed the coffee so much we will be ordering from the paddy and scott website. And whenever we are in B&Q; we will make time to indulge.

I was thinking this morning how restaurants would benefit from being what I call "Natural Havens" - ambient space that is filled with plants and Nature. We hadn't been to B&Q; since its refit. We had no idea of what to expect... and our expectations were exceeded. New vendor, "Paddy and Scott's has its first in-store outlet at Poole, and it could well become the model for a new brand to rival Costa or Starbucks.

It is fine here and the prices are okay but you do have a wait a fair time to be served is my only complaint. In all fairness we do only ever go at weekends and it is probably much quieter during the week. Regular coffee is £2.50 and small mug of tea is £1.50.

We arrived at B&Q; today feeling peckish but wanting only a snack. The hot steak pastry thingies were hot and very tasty. My wife and I also shared one piece of apple pie; that was also really good. The coffees were good and, unlike in many places these days, you could get a normal sized cup.

The current Mrs W and I often visit for a coffee and a bacon sandwich prior to a wander around B&Q; for plants. The only complaint would be that the toilet facilities have been out of order for some time, meaning one has to travel to the other end of the store to use the rather unpleasant loos that B&Q; offer, these toilets are often blocked by some kind of lift contraption which makes gaining access in a wheelchair rather awkward something B&Q; do not care about. Be aware B&Q; only have 3 wheelchairs on site now too.

This modern cafe is within B&Q; at Poole and is quite a good size and offers a mixture of seating arrangements from tables and chairs to a high bar with stools and some low soft chairs and tables. The seating mainly faces the garden centre area and there is a patio type door that opens out on to that area.

Although there is a disabled parking space outside, the roads to it are all closed. Nothing to do with the pub though. The wife and I struggled to get there. I come from Poole, but have never been inside this historic harbour inn. As soon as you walk in, you can visualise the history, the smuggling plots being made by sailors of old, those walls could tell some tales. I was greeted by Kerry, who seemed very pleasant. I was really pleased to see dimpled handles in the pint and also the half. I mentioned that these are few and far between, and in her own words "this is a proper pub", and I cannot disagree. Two vessels of Best were poured and we sat by a window. Also present was "the founder member of the Glee Club" ( sarcasm on my part? absolutely ! ) aka the bearded landlord, I presume, who scowled around looking generally miserable, with no conversation to his customers or staff. We enjoyed our drinks and left, part of me satisfied with our visit, but underwhelmed by Mr. Chuckles.

I've been a regular customer to hortons over the years, but today's service was so bad I won't be using them again. I get a 45 minute lunch break.. 15 minutes of that was spent waiting to order because they had a family of 5 place an order before me and clearly couldn't cope with a group order. After finally ordering, 5 minutes goes by before I'm told they can't do my food so I said no problem I'll just have the milkshake then that I had ordered... another 15 minutes goes by and I still don't have my milkshake. At this point I have 10minutes left of my lunch break, so I proceeded to walk out and and quickly ordered some food from premier bites opposite. I never did get my milkshake from hortons or able to get a refund as no one was attending the till even after I had ordered and collected a hot panini from Premier bites... Hortons has gone down hill ever since the kids took over. On the other hand I can recommend premier bites opposite. Lots of love the RJ lift engineer.

Beers off. No thumper or fursty ferret, best ran out, and one of our party was served a pint a third full of sediment which should never have been served. Staff lack product knowledge. No knowledge of our booking. The food was ok, but one pudding still frozen in the middle. Not a pleasant visit

I don't overly eat that much, but brunch portion was so small, consisted of one bit of toast avocado, 2 hard bits of bacon and two tiny poached eggs. (£12) I'm still hungry. Ice coffee (£4) was nice but I wouldn't eat here again. I'd don't usually complain but I did tell the staff I wasn't pleased with the size, and that was ignored. It was a starter size, definitely not brunch category
