Pad Thai Live - Chatham in Medway

7 weeks ago, I forgot my cardholder with all my cards and driver's license in that place. When I got home, I called the restaurant and told them to please look at the seat where I sat. They directly told me that there is nothing. They have not even gone to look. This weekend, a couple came to my house with my cards saying that they just ate at the restaurant and found my cards on the seat. It seems that they clean the place well every day. I think the way they treat customers is horrible.

Usually, I buy takeaway from this place but decided to dine in as was due to watch a movie shortly after. The food was very fresh and tasty. Ordered some starters, superb! Their smoothie and iced tea were also amazing and good value for money. Will dine in more now as the quality is definitely better than takeaway.

Best Thai food in town! Used to work at a shop in dockside and went here once ever other month, fantastic food even recommended by some Thai friends of mine, the only reason I've dropped a star on atmosphere is due to it being in Chatham dockside which has no atmosphere

We ordered a collection order from Pad Thai live in Chatham. Hands down this is the best Thai in Medway. The food was packed so nicely and so authentic, it was like being in Thailand. I cannot rate this high enough. Thank you to the Pad Thai Live Team. Incredible.

One if the best Thai food restaurant in town. Food is delicious, staff is very nice and friendly, quick service and the place is very neat and clean. Have visited them few times in last 2 months.

We eat here every week at the moment because the food is simply incredible! Such good value and the staff are lovely, especially Jo who cooks the most amazing curries! If you like thai food this is a MUST! Outstanding 👌

Don't overlook this restaurant when in Chatham. Friendly, attentive, staff cooking delicious fresh dishes right in front of you at good value prices. We liked it so much we went there 4 days in a row working our way through the menu!

Positives - the food is cheap and the portions are generous, Negatives - the food is very average at best. The red curry was bland, the rice was overcooked and the pad Thai noodles were undercooked. We personally will not be returning.

Always look forward to going here for not only the food but the people. Always very friendly, making jokes and talking about thailand. Recommended.

The staff is always soooo angry and annoyed at the customers for some reason. One of the staff literally told off a customer in front of me for merely having a milkshake from outside. "OUTSIDE FOOD IS NOT ALLOWED". Then they were very annoyed that my 3 year old daughter was walking in the restaurant while she was not disturbing anyone. Please grow up guys. Stop making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Average food and Horrible service. Very weird vibe overall. Not a nice ambience. We ordered food but in take away boxes as our daughter was very sleepy so we weren’t sure if we would be able to finish food in the restaurant. We managed to eat at the restaurant. When we were leaving a petty staff member started arguing about the fact that we ordered take away and ate it in?? Not that they charged us any less - full vat was paid as it was hot food. Very petty. Food only average, I think they were fussed as they had to use 2 take away boxes? LOL - I have no clue. The lady kept arguing - half of which I couldn’t even understand - until we were out of the door. Much better other thai options in the area and with much nicer staff. Would never return here

Great little find. We were quite hungry and just wanted something to slate our hunger. Food was well above our expectations. Will likely return if in the area.

The food was so fresh and nice and flavoursome! We got mixed starter, chicken fried rice and massaman. It was all perfect and I’m quite a fussy eater especially with textures but I ate it all. Nicest spring rolls I’ve ever eaten, I keep thinking about them ever since. The satay skewers were juicy and decent size. My partner comes here all the time and has never been let down!

Great baobuns - good portion sizes and ample fillings reasonable price too

I've eaten in maybe 5 times and had several take aways and the food was always great, until last weekend. I picked up an order around 6.45 and there were a lot of delivery drivers so maybe just too busy, but the food was really disappointing this time. Chicken satay looked great, lovely big pieces of chicked and a pot of sauce. But the chicken was overcooked so dry and chewy with nowhere near enough sauce. The drunken noodles were good but the Pad Kapow was just very sweet mince and very little other taste, it tasted as bland as it looked. Could have just been unlucky but unlikely to return, 3 stars based on much better previous experiences here

Original Thai food served by nice Thai people. Excellent and original food. Nice way of visiting Thailand. Even for 10 minutes and liked the music too.

Popped in for lunch - ordered then took a seat whilst it was freshly cooked. I had prawn red thai curry with rice. Good size portion and amazingly delicious. Nice cafe type seating, very clean and the staff were friendly Why have I never been here before, my new favourite place to eat. £9 including a bottle of water. Worth every penny

Fresh, tasty and authentic Thai cuisine. Why on earth would you go to BK / KFC with this right here. Thai food is delicious, what isn’t to like. Will come again!

the duck noodle and rice is quite nice

Just finished 3day water fast and I couldn't think of anything better than pad Thai live, I've been few times and is my favourite. I had for first time Tom yum soup with rice and a portion of crispy dim sum. All absolutely delicious, fresh. Words can't describe. Perfection. Well done guys

The best Thai food I’ve had out of Thailand

Came for a spot of lunch, absolutely amazing tasty food, I had Drunken Noodles, the best I have ever had. The staff are really friendly and the fact that it is freshly cooked makes all the better. RECOMMENDED

We've eaten here quite a few times. They have another one in Maidstone but car parking charges have stopped us going there these days. Although Chatham Maritime has started charging now! This is fast, fun food. Not a massive menu but all of what they do is freshly cooked which you can see. They have the occasional special on which can be fun to try. Our general go to bits of the menu is the mixed starter, with red curry normally with Prawns to follow. All of this is fresh cooked and we have finally convinced them that they serve the starter first & give us a few minutes before bringing us our main! Normally the mixed starter plus a main each plus a tea & hot chocolate plus a couple of cans is around £32 which I think is good value. We go there frequently, never had a duff meal yet. If I have any complaint everyone else has found it & getting a seat is getting harder!

Very nice food. We had Dim sum and then Drunken Noodles (spicy) and Pad Thai (chicken and prawn). The food was very fresh. Dim sum was tasty and the dipping sauce was great. Drunken Noodles were great- bags of flavour. Chicken was tasty, vegetables were cooked really well - good flavour and a bit of char but still crunchy. Pad Thai was decent too, All very fresh. Staff were very pleasant too. Nice.

Although the food is average, although quite bland, the service is just appalling . The staff find is incomprehensible that starters arrive before the main course not at the same time , and that main meals should be served at the same time to all sitting at the table ! There also seems to be an aversion by the staff to clean the tables after customers leave , very dirty . When we complained about the meal delays staff were laughing and smirking as they apologised ! Can’t wait for Wagamama to open close by !!!!!

Poor poor service discussing behaviour from management DO NOT GO to this place they got order wrong left us waiting I asked for a refund told I could get a refund as I hadn't had the food my autistic getting anxious as he was told it wouldn't be long one member of staff said we could get a refund then the manager asked y I explained we hadn't had the food and my son is autistic and has learning disabilities to be laughed at and told so so what and shouted at so I ended up in an argument and told I can have a refund if I never come back. I said fine still no refund and then asked to go out side with a male member of staff who was just rude didn't want to listen and didn't care to the point my autistic son was pacing up and down and being told my food is ready now 20 minutes later after ordering. In between another lady said she had been waiting ages for her food and how long was it going to be as they was hungry as well. So no food or refund

I'm visiting this place at lunch times as my office is based in the historic dockyard and i do not fancy other places around here, I have to admit I'm a duck fan and their Duck noodle soup is worth the £8.50. Some have mentioed it a bit bland but for me is perfect, if you want to spice it up a bit they do bring to your an assortment of condiments so you can add as you wish.

This restaurant is truly a Thai restaurant. The food is good but not superb. Fish cakes are a bit too small. Drunken noodles are too strong and heavy taste. Pad Thai noodles are good but too sugary. Duck noodle soup is a bit bland. The fried rice is normal. Best of all, the staff are very kind, polite, and friendly.

I like the fish balls very much which costs GBP 6 per 9 balls. Unlike the other two branches, when I visited this branch a month ago, the staff only give me 6 balls so I told her I got 9 balls in another branch just earlier that week but she said their company group just changed to 6 balls only two days ago. However, when I went to the other two branches a few days later both still gave me 9 balls. I will never buy again in this branch because of the dishonest behavior.

Absolutely amazing food! They desperately need to move out of the 'outlet centre' as they are excellent and the 'outlet centre' is a hole!

Recently returned from 2 weeks in Thailand and was missing the amazing food that we had out there, so was happy to find this place fairly local to me. I ordered the massaman curry with chicken (comes with plain rice) and my wife had Pad Thai with prawns. Eating in, the food was cooked fresh and arrived quickly. It was delicious. Authentic flavours took me back to Krabi. Nice touch that a fork and spoon is provided instead of knife and fork (if you know, you know!) Cost a lot more than the few hundred Bhat I was paying in Thailand, but, worth every penny. Will be going back for more.

One of my favourite restaurants

Fantastic food!! This place offers authentic Thai food. Not a 'fancy place' obviously but A limited amount of dishes but that doesn't matter if you like Thai food. You have the option for different spice levels and meats or veg in dishes such as pad Thai, pad ka pow, drunken noodles, red and green curry, massaman curry, pork ribs, pork or chicken Thai burger ('thaiger') and different side dishes. Staff are really friendly and fast too. Highly recommended!

This is the second time I have had food from this chain restaurant, the first time was from a different branch. I purchased the Drunken noodles in which they used noodles that reminded me of Tapeworms. So I did not review as I thought it would be unfair as the noodles were not to my preference such as egg noodles. We ordered from the Chatham branch and what a disappointment. We had the red and green Thai curry. They were both extremely hot with minimal background flavour. Which I’m guessing is why they were so hot to hide this fact. I like spicy food but Thai green curry is not meant to be spicy as it was for my partner. The second issue is they shove as many vegetables into the curries as possible. To this day I do not know what some of the vegetables were and they still give me nightmares. We also ordered the mixed starter in which all the items were cold and came with three small pots that contained mysterious different coloured substances. The chicken satays were fine as these are very hard to get wrong but again cold. The Dim Sum was like eating something from an army ration pack. You knew you have eaten something but you are not sure what. The crackers and the spring rolls were also fine. I’m not really sure why this place has great reviews as there are superior Thai restaurants in the area. I have given a score as average because the food was edible even if it did lack flavour, however, I can honestly say this is my last order or trip to these chain restaurants.

Went there Saturday for the first time. Ordering prosse ok. But my food arrived, but my partners didn't. Finished mine before hers arrived. When hers arrived it was wrong, had to be cooked all over again. We ordered together, we should of eaten together. I was so annoyed, we work hard all week, so a Saturday lunch is a treat. Never again.

1st meal we'd had here, would definitely come back. The kids really enjoyed their's, but after travelling a lot in Thailand I'd say is been dumbed down a lot to please the masses.

Now this little nook on the 1st floor of Dockside outlet is a hidden gem that needs to be known to the entire Medway! The staff....super focused and super fast. I mean they're running on lightning bolts and the food is the most tastiest and flavourful when in gets into your mouth. Recently I tried the drunken noodles....medium spicy...OMG! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! So much that I got take away for my entire family. Yes! They also do take away and you can find them on delivery apps. I am all for Thai! Medway is overpopulated with Chinese fast food outlets and not many Thai fast food outlets but even if they had to go against each other .... Pad Thai would beat everyone hands down! Can't wait to go back!

I had a very nice duck soup and my mother enjoyed her chicken butger the staff are friendly and atentive, the food is of good quality and price, nice and clean a worth while stop.

Unassuming spot at the top of the escalators. Veg Pad Thai was unexpectedly good, so we came back the next day for duck noodle soup (shown in photo with a conker for scale 🙂) and a new item stir-fry of which I forget the name. Would have come on our third day in the area too, except it was Sunday and they closed at 5pm, the same time as the Dockyard oh well (they probably follow shopping centre hours).

I’m a regular here but the cheek of finding out today getting charged £1.50 extra for switching from sweet chill to chilli sauce with the spring rolls actually wound me up. And now my green curry has just arrived and the chicken content has halved and been replaced with the veg. Very disappointed being treated like this while being such a loyal Customer. Matter of moral over money.

Have had a couple of visits to here but only as a take away on this occasion was with three family members so we dined inside was not impressed at all pork ribs were burnt and dry my nephew spent 65 and that was with no drinks sister in-law didn't want to complain about the ribs I did but she said let it go so when we had finished we had food left over so I asked for it to be put in there polystyrene containers at which point I was told they only put them in cardboard boxes at 50 pence per box so had to pay another 2 pounds for that. What a rip off told them they have now lost a customer due to the cardboard box con will never go there again

Pad Thai Live Chatham has always been my #1 option for lunch. From the amazingly cooked meals to the friendliness and total professionalism of the staff it only gets better each time. I have recommended it to my friends and family and will continue doing so. Can't wait to visit again !!!

I must say the food is really good and I absolutely love it! But there is lack of staffs which makes the food a bit delayed including the fact it is lot of pressure on the staffs. Hiring more staffs would definitely be my advice for the busy hours! But definitely recommended!!
