Ozzies in Eastbourne

The food is cooked as you wait always fresh, staff excellent, have always found Ozzie to be fine..Probably the best coffee in town and burgers brilliant.

As shopping at ESK and it was lunch time, we went here as we've been before and it is usually very good and most things are reasonably priced. Warmly greeted by man serving behind counter - hubby ordered a half pound cheeseburger and was asked if he wanted chips with it as well, which he didn't. I decided to try a cheese omlette which I've not had before. I wasn't asked if I wanted chips and only realised when I sat down but decided I couldn't be bothered to go back again but was very pleased when my meal arrived soon after with chips and a side salad :) Hubby said his burger tasted ok. I really enjoyed my omlette but it could have been a little hotter. A very nice meal, as usual.

Popped in to do some plant shopping and stopped in the cafe. It’s pretty functional, nothing exceptional, just pleasant. The chap serving was friendly and the coffee was nice enough. Shame they don’t do milk alternatives and slightly more inspiring cake. Cooked breakfast looked nice on the next table.

Came here with the family to get some lunch and the food was lovely. Staff are always nice which was a bonus. Will come here again and would recommend to anyone.

Ordered bacon egg and chips and a cod and chips with two teas for the sum of £14.75. The egg and tiny piece of bacon were OK but more like a kiddie portion. The 'cod & chips' was nothing that you would expect. Grey, slimy gunge in an over cooked, dried out breadcrumb coating which must have been festering at the bottom of the freezer for months. Chips were frozen fries, not real chips. All together a disgusting offering and over priced. Owner said I was the first to complain which I very much doubt.

I pretty much come here everyday to get some lunch and am always greeted nicely with smiles on everyone's face. The food is amazing and is always quickly served piping hot. Great place for lunch.

I get lunch here pretty much everyday. The quality of the food is great, pricing is very good and the staff are very nice.

Food was awefull the boss man was very rude asked for no salad in my Mrs burger he said I'll put it in your just have to take it out was very rude to us my school dinner used to taste nicer burger was burnt who cooks stevie wonder

Ate here on quite a few occasions, when shopping in ESK. Always found the food fresh, and the staff very pleasant. Very reasonable prices too. Always enjoyed the tea. Would recommend.

I visited again after great food last time and again wasn’t disappointed. I come here with my family and everyone finds it enjoyable. The staff are lovely and welcoming to everyone. 10/10

Dirty rude never again ..children stared at by staff especially one staff member ..creepy ..wont be returning especially with my children

I keep saying I wont go back but it is very convenient when shopping in ESK. My wife and I just needed a snack and a sit down. Things have got worse! The cakes we had were dry and tasteless and the tea was really stewed. As for Ossie, he was just as miserable and rude as ever. His staff made us feel a little better as they were as helpful and cheerful as ever.

Wow, grumpy service to everybody in the que, not charged the drink rates on the board and the server watch handling money and food without gloves or handwashing. Not recommended I'm afraid.

Bueno, ¿por dónde empezamos? Oh, sí, veamos, ¡NO TRATE DE PEDIR LECHE CALIENTE, ya que este idiota ozzie dice CITA! "ES ILEGAL VENDER LECHE CALIENTE" errr realmente? ? ? ? DESDE CUANDO ! ? Fuimos un par de veces y no estábamos muy impresionados, pero teníamos hambre y decidimos tomar un descanso, así que nos metimos en este lugar lúgubre, ordenamos lo que queríamos aparte de la leche caliente. Pregunté si podía comer 2 rollitos de salchicha y me dijeron que no habían cocinado mucho, así que estaban calientes. NOPE FRÍO! así que de vuelta fui a pedir que se calentaran, bueno, ja, ja, su cara y sus acciones fueron cómicas. No entendí muy bien lo que dijo, pero obviamente no estaba contento de que alguien se hubiera quejado del calor de la comida. Por el amor de Dios, ¿cuánto esfuerzo cuesta calentar 2 rollos? después de unas pocas palabras murmuradas, las trajo de vuelta y las tiró sobre el mostrador. el resto del personal fue excelente. Uno realmente se acercó y se disculpó por este incidente, mientras que este tipo de Ozzie seguía murmurando y siendo la persona más gruñona y arrogante que podía. El resto de la comida que teníamos era casi comestible. No sé, por todos los medios, vaya y véalo usted mismo, pero por mi parte no agradezco nuevamente su miserable presencia, si el propietario es tan malo, me encantaría saber cómo y por qué sigue en el negocio, la comida no es excelente, los precios. en realidad no están mal, pero el servicio es totalmente chocante, y observa que no te cobra demasiado, lo hizo con 2 personas detrás de nosotros cuando los escuchamos hablar, se reembolsaron después de unas pocas palabras.

We were desperate for a quick snack after being in Stamco sorting out our kitchen. Wish had driven to Tesco's The man serving was incredibly unfriendly and grumpy. Food was average for the money Best eat somewhere else. We will !!

I regularly eat here,it in ESK, friendly staff, surprisingly varied choice of snacks etc, great value.really good coffee, and their chips are perfect.

Dije que no volveríamos a usar Ozzies, pero como estábamos un poco hambrientos, pensamos que íbamos a volver a intentarlo. Ojalá no nos hubiéramos molestado. Ozzie era realmente miserable y grosero. ¡Ojalá no se lamiera los dedos cuando arrancara el ticket numérico de la comida y luego siguiera manipulando la comida! Tenía un pastel que era suave y húmedo y frío en el medio. El sándwich de mi esposa no estaba tan mal pero el té no estaba muy caliente y sabía a fuego lento. Definitivamente no regresaré.

Me alegré de encontrar a ESK y Ozzie todos abiertos en un lluvioso día festivo del lunes.

Fui de compras en ESK y decidí tomar un refrigerio en Ozzies. El sándwich de la esposa era muy agradable, pero mi rollo de salchichas era terrible. Era virtualmente insípido y, aunque se veía bien y regordete en el armario, llegó totalmente plano. Tal vez el microondas lo causó. Las dos tazas de té también eran muy fuertes y estofadas, prácticamente no bebibles. El personal fue muy amable y nos deseó un "Feliz Año Nuevo", pero Ozzie fue su infeliz habitual.

Me and my family we want to shopping in the ESK and we stopped for the lunch at the cafe . food wonderful and very tasty staff friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic specially omelette recommend it to anyone.

Living locally I frequent this cafe after picking my daughter up from the local school for dinner. Staff are always polite and the food is quick and tasty would recommend to anyone in the area

Myself and my other half use to come here at least once a week. The food is fantastic. (Apart from the panini) Shame that Ozzie himself is rude to customers. We have since found elsewhere to eat because of Ozzie’s service.

Myself and my colleagues come here nearly every day for lunch. The food is great and reasonably priced, but the service is really what makes it. So friendly and helpful. I would suggest this place to anyone and everyone.

Best breakfast in Eastbourne. Never had a bad meal in Ozzie. Staff are great, always smiling and friendly.

Perfect food, staff are all very friendly, especially the young man, he's always friendly and can have a chat with him, the food is all freshly prepared and tastes good, I recommend this place to everyone

we were shopping at the budget outlet E.S.K . a trio of us aged 50,63,83, and fancied a snack lunch. we found the area clean and tidy, friendly efficient staff and good food on offer I ordered a pannini which was freshly prepared and excellent. we will eat here again soon.

We popped in here for some shopping and didn't know there a restaurant at all till someone mentioned it and we decided to give it a try honestly was great service good atmosphere all added together made out day just wish there's more places like this well done guys everyone We will be back soon

My family and I used to really enjoy coming here every Sunday. Especially when the owners wife was still there. Sadly in the last 2 years it's deteriorated tremendously. The cafe is run down/dirty, portions smaller yet price is still the same or has increased slightly, poor quality, sometimes the plate of food which is brought out isn't edible. The gentleman who serves is ever so miserable and the male chef/waiter is rude. We can be sitting and enjoying our meal when this chef will come and sit at your table wanting a chat, or another is he likes to try and take your plate while literally still eating from it. He comes across as intimidating, and obnoxious. They've gone from a 5 to 3 for a reason. We've been a few times recently and was pleased to see the Daughter in law there as She can never do enough. Always goes above and beyond and it's lovely to see. Upon our last visit she wasn't there and that was a disappointment. We were told she wouldn't be attending any longer so now looking to find another little cafe to enjoy instead. What was once a great, loving family business has now been given to the dogs. I wish them all the best never the less

At the counter, the owner was cutting cake for customers and then scooped up the crumbs in his hand and then proceeded to lick his hand, and then served customers without washing his hands first. Absolutely disgusting, but not surprising given that they have a hygiene rating of 3 when the best restaurants and cafes have a hygiene rating of 5.

Visited E.S.K. again to do our usual shopping and decided to have a snack in Ozzies, against my better judgement.We ordered our usual salad sandwiches and cups of tea. I collected the tea from the counter and the sandwiches were brought to us by a friendly server. The tea was hot and fresh and the sandwich was very nice. But why is Ozzie so miserable? He did not greet us at all and had really long face.He said very little and he did not appear at all friendly.

Got here on a Saturday around 1pm and there were quite a few people eating already.The menu was a little bit different to before, so it's nice to know the menu changes and you can get something new!I saw calamari salad for only £3.95, what a bargain! I ordered chips as a side dish to go with it as I was quite hungry but I didn't realise the salad came with 2 slices of buttered bread as well. Hubby made himself two chip butties with the bread and chips as I couldn't manage to eat it all - the portions are a good size here.Hubby had a cheeseburger which was £4.60 and was really big - 2 big beefburgers in a nice white bun with the usual cheese slices. I had a bite and the burgers were good quality and very tasty. He had some salad in the bun too.We had a tin of diet coke each to go with our meals and they were 90p each and lovely and cold.The calamari was perfectly cooked and the chips were lovely and crisp too.The tables were spotlessly clean.Everything was good quality and we had a lovely lunch and then did some shopping in ESK.We look forward to coming here again.

Went on a Sunday after doing some shopping at ESK. This is the cafe inside ESK.Whilst reading the menu above the serving area a very friendly person told us, with a smile on his face - I think he was the owner - about one of his specials - the meat pudding with a mint gravy - my husband chose this for his lunch and I chose a poached egg on toast, very reasonably priced at £2.20.We also chose two hot drinks, I went for the large latte and hubby had the hot chocolate.We waited for our drinks and got a paper receipt for the meals.There were people sitting at 3 other tables.It's a large seating area and everywhere was spotlessly clean.The tables and chairs were modern and clean and most had 3 chairs at them. They were very comfortable to sit on whilst eating.There are two types of sugar to chose from - white or brown (no sweeteners that I could see, but I always carry them in my handbag!).It didn't take very long for our meals to be brought to us. We had already got our knives and forks - from an area further down that also has sauces in bottles and salt and peppers for you to take to your table if you want to use them.Our meals were very good. My poached egg was cooked perfectly - that was lovely to eat and tasty. There were 2 slices of toast with it - excellent.My husband loved his meal - there was a really big meaty pudding, cabbage, which was cooked perfectly and was really tasty, carrots, again cooked perfectly, these weren't so tasty - we both found them a bit bland and lovely and perfect mashed potato - which was really tasty. There was a gorgeous gravy over everything.Everything was very hot and the meal my husband had was around £6.95.The whole lunch, including drinks, cost £12.95. There are toilets inside ESK which are near to Ozzie's and there are no stairs to them. They were also immaculately clean.We would really recommend this lovely place. Everyone was very friendly.

Paid a visit whilst shopping in ESK. Ozzie was a bit friendlier than usual but ,does tend to be a bit abrupt. He should take note of his very friendly staff. The sandwiches were very nice with fresh bread and salad.The tea was a bit stewed, as usual, but in all reasonably pleasant experience.

We took our 3 year old grandson for a meal at Ozzy's and asked instead of having Chicken Nuggets Chips and Beans whether we could have just Chicken Nuggets, The reply by the owner was "Its not worth it because you'll Only get 2 chicken nuggets"So there was no flexibility of food selection for kids!I chose scrambled egg on toast, and when it came out it was fit for a squirrel not an adult human. Our grandson wanted chocolate milk shake and it tasted like a glass of saccarine, so sweet it was rediculous, and did not taste of chocolate at all. There was no apology from the owner, and all he had to say was, well nobody has ever moaned before.One word "APPAULING" NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!!

The food is ok, which is the main thing as it is a café to eat!!Otherwise the atmosphere is unpleasant as the owner is rude and abrupt, the seating is uncomfortable, stained, dirty, old.. Need I go on.The cutlery is also stained, plates battered..Basically it does the job to eat, but otherwise its appalling.

Went to 'Ozzies' after shopping in E.S. K. Had two teas and a salad sandwich. The sandwich was ok but the tea was so strong and brewed we had a job to drink it.Ozzie was as miserable as ever and I wish he wouldn't lick his fingers to remove the receipt and then serve food.It is not very hygienic!! I wont be going back.

We tried the egg and chips. The price was £2.85 and the portion was minuscule. The egg looked so unappetising I didn't bother to eat it, and I was served by one of the most miserable men in the world.The " restaurant" was a few tables in the barn of the place known as ESK, a huge warehouse place selling all sorts of domestic stuff like curtains and towels and gardening bits and pieces. Not the most romantic of settings, nevertheless I think we can expect value for money and service with a smile....or is that too much to ask of ESK?On the plus side my cup of tea tasted fine but was served in a cup that resembled a cup from a child's tea party set.I shan't be going back there in a hurry.
