Fantastic service from both David and Kristin behind the bar and Peter the server for his hospitality. I had the mega breakfast in the morning and my friend had the buritto both was really good, definitely recommend and be returning.

Lovely morning coming to this pub, foods always come out piping hot and the service from keanan is always top quality. Cheers again mate

I was given a refund reciept on the 26/04/25 if you check cctv around 7.30pm you will see I returned food 3 times raw chicken is very bad for you the barman Chris was very aggressive towards me an my children he approached our table very rude an very aggressive towards a women on her own with 2 kids im disgusted how we was treated an I've still not recieved a refund for food we sent back iam reporting this restaurant before someone become seriously ill also for a member of staff shouting across thr pub very maturely goodbye we will be pleased to never see you again plz check cctv an then plz refund me for food that was sent back £42.61 paid via PayPal app I will be back again with my partner to see how aggressive Chris is to a man also the waiter Mike shocking behaviour from both members of your staff

Had a fabulous experience here at oystercatcher this afternoon. We came as a family of 10 for a 13th birthday. Food was excellent service was excellent. Will definately come back

Amazing afternoon with the staff at Oyster Catcher penarth! Nothing was too much trouble. Amazing service including wrapping up food to go and giving our dog a bowl of water. Kennan the supervisor goes above and beyond. Thank you all

Had an amazing gluten free bacon sandwich. Georgia is amazing. Nothing is ever to much for her. She is polite, friendly and very accommodating.

We had a spontaneous meal here two different meals and they were both well cooked and very tasty. We both had generous portions and it's a good value for money pub.

Staff very friendly and cheerful as we entered, choice on menu was large and varied,were told it was steak day and fish was not available...which was fine. we chose steak and ruddles ale pie on the meal deal two meals for £13.49. absolutely gorgeous...pastry was light,steak tender,gravy so tasty. Staff helpful the whole time.

Meet here for lunch with friends. Food is good quality and they don't skimp. It has a good atmosphere and they dont keep bothering you . Staff are nice and friendly too. Love it.

Service was amazing, staff couldn’t have been helpful, although it would have been nice if the waiter had wrapped my dessert spoon in a napkin, rather than having fingers all over it 🤢, the steak was a little dry as if the juice had been squeezed out, which was a shame as it was cooked correctly, my dessert was spot on apart from the spoon thang!!! Over all I don’t think I will eat here again.

Stopped by on a sunny Friday evening, the beer garden was bustling. Ordered food via the app (children’s meal, and 2 adult mains - Hunters chicken and a chicken burger). Didn’t take too long to arrive but sadly not worth the wait. Thrown on the plate, and the hunters chicken was very dry. Issue ordering pudding via the app and had to go to the bar. Wouldn’t rush back for food, but little one loved the play park and the garden is ideal for a drink in the sunshine.

Me and my partner came for lunch, good was fast arriving to table, easy to order online, staff were friendly and attentive. Would recommend

Won’t be going back that’s for sure. Starters came within half hour then had to wait a hour n half for the main then it finally come n it wasn’t even cooked. Left unhappy n still hungry 😫

I enjoyed the ultimate big candymania so so much and Thank you very much (Amelia, age 7).

The atmosphere was not the best, we got asked to move twice. Ordered food, then got asked to move again, we said no we've ordered food. A staff member went oh shit, we got ten coming in. The burgers where like rubber and cheapest meat. The staff rude wouldn't want to experience that again.

Classic pub food - chips/onion rings were cold but still alright. Service is fab! They offer student and blue light discount, but make sure they put the code in the system! A lot of staff don’t know it is there as there aren’t many in the area. Regardless, decent green king.

Came for some food and a drink. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich it was delightful! I had a pint of Stella which was refreshing served by Georgia such a lovely girl and outstanding customer service.

Unfortunately had run out of salad and coleslaw but otherwise a good experience.

Came here after a walk down the marina, so we popped in for a drink. All the staff were very accommodating and alot of good options for light bites. Will definitely visit again when I'm near by

Great beer garden when it's sunny. Very reasonably priced food served very quickly. Order on the Green King app rather than wasting your life queuing at the bar with only one till that will sell food.

Amazing however we were missing onion rings off one of our meals. We had keenan as our server he was very polite and rectified our meal error straight away.

The food was amazing, Gavin, Peter and James were amazing.

Myself and my mum and dad visited at 5pm on Wednesday, as soon as we arrived we were welcomed by a staff member called James, he was attentive friendly and told us about the deals that day, we ordered our drinks and food , food came quite quickly and looked lovely, also tasted amazing, James asked us if everyone was ok and also the food, all fabulous, the atmosphere was good as it was fully booked , I cannot say enough about the staff food and atmosphere, lovely place thank you x

Called here for lunch with family, big place, good menu selection for children, reasonable, food was good, nothing fancy, nice seating outside, kids loved the park, not too far from Cardiff bay swimming pool and ice rink.

Very affordable prices, different offers every day, suitable for all kinds of customers. Service efficiency is good. After the meal, it was very relaxing to take a walk in the nearby river and grassroots.

We have been going hear for years,we love it because we sit in one of the booths thay have in the garden with the dog, food has always been good. But we had food today and it was awful was really disappointed.

Fantastic service, food was delivered hot and fresh, kids had a wonderful time in the play area, great views over the marina and easy to park. We had Fish and chips and Chicken NY, the kids burgers with candy mania for dessert. Very busy but Peter who served us was brilliant and very helpful. Definitely recommend the Oystercatcher.

Kristin is just awesome behind the bar, always friendly, and actually aware of the customers at the bar and the order.....which is sadly a dying art

Yet again went to the oystercatcher food was freezing cold had fish chips and peas portion of chips was tiny I paid for Xtra tarts sauce didn't get it my portion of tarta sauce to go with the fish was less then a tea spoon full .we also went as a group x mas week 5 meals had to be sent back not cooked(speak wanted well done it was raw they rectified it bit had to wait 25 mins and our other food was cold really gone down hill within 6 weeks 2 really bad experience not even offered a discount not that we expected it no manager bothered to come over really poor service
