Excellent food, competitive prices, and staff who are always very welcoming and who also take very good care of disabled people like my wife who is wheelchair bound. These staff set the high level of customer service that every pub should achieve

The place to go! We visit quite often and can’t fault the place. The staff is incredibly helpful and attentive. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the price are good. The music is never disappointing. If you looking to place to go the oystercatcher is the winner. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic family pub with great food and music. We ordered curry and it came very quickly and staff were great asking if everything is okay with our food. Will definitely be coming back again.

Had a quiet hour in here with a snack and a hot drink. I was waiting for a shoe repair over the road in Tescos (Timpsons). My only quibble was my hot drink was more of a milkshake but then I have an asbestos mouth so possibly just me. Enjoyed the cake, yummy 😋

We had a spontaneous meal with the family here, five different meals and they were all well cooked and very tasty. We all had generous portions and it's a good value for money pub.

Food came quickly and portion sizes were plenty, came at around 1 o'clock on a Saturday and had enough tables to choose from. James served us our food and was very positive and nice, brought a nice energy :)

We just had xmas/boxing day 3 course meal there was 6 of us and food and sevice was amaizing and great value for money def going do same next boxing day

Beer would give five stars to, meal turned up fine to then be told I had to go to other dining area to collect cutlery, got there to find no forks an by time I got cutlery meal was lukewarm, then ordered pudding that arrived tounge burning hot on outside but cold in the middle, not impressed used to get 5 rating from me but not this time

The Traditional Christmas dinner as I said to the waiter was piss poor. Frozen vegetables luke warm had to wait ages for gravy. My dinner was the same size as my Step Fathers and he had a child’s portion. Dessert was ok. Not value for money. I won’t rush to go back not even for off the menu.

Went on Tuesday for food, and wasn't disappointed again. Everything we had was pipping hot and delicious. Excellent value for money, will be back.

I was having a catch up with a friend. I thought of the Oyster catcher as I’ve always enjoyed previous visits. The food and service has always been excellent. Again the food and service was excellent. I had the steak which was perfectly cooked to my liking. Myself and my friend had a very enjoyable couple of hours catching up.

Fantastic service from both David and Kristin behind the bar and Peter the server for his hospitality. I had the mega breakfast in the morning and my friend had the buritto both was really good, definitely recommend and be returning.

James welcomed and led us to a seating area near the bar area which is my preference as I didnt require food just a drink this evening, James was very welcoming and a true gent 😊 lovely atmosphere which myself and my partner enjoyed, ended up having a bottle of wine and a few pints for my partner. All the staff are truly amazing, thankyou 😊

service was excellent even on a busy day, we got our food quickly and james sat us down as soon as the table was free, i ordered at the bar with kris and he was polite and made me aware of the deal today so i could save some money

Really like this pub. Has a great menu with veggie and vegan options, friendly staff and love the booths outside in the garden area which have heaters so great for an evening or dry cooler day. It's November and we were sat in one. Definitely recommend

Food was borderline ok, but the chilli part of my meal (the dipper burger) was cold, and my wife's peas looked like they were green once back in the middle ages when they were perhaps first picked. Mother-in-law's Mac and Cheese was good though apparently. The unfortunate part about the whole thing is they asked us if our dinners were warm enough (weird thing to ask specifically about) and we told them "not really", but they didn't really do much. Ultimately we didn't kick up a fuss because it was all.... fine I guess. Just wouldn't go back there.

I can't comment on the atmosphere as we only go for breakfast. Breakfast is spot on, good value and pretty good quality. My only negative is a cup of tea is on the pricy side, and if it was like wetherspoons or brewers fayre with free refill after your first it would be perfect. Staff are very good there.

This is our goto place for Friday and Saturday lunchtimes. Food is great and wait times low. Prices are some of the cheapest I have seen in the Cardiff bay area. Certainly the cheapest pints. Greg is always happy to help, friendly and will bring our drinks outside no matter the weather.

Went there last Saturday afternoon and had a lovely fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce and the fish was beautiful. Would definitely have that again and fast service.

Food was plentiful. But bland. Garlic bread was not nice or the mayo on the coleslaw (sorry) staff were absolutely lovely (keenan very nice) freezing here. Overall good value.

Nice pub food at a reasonable price but drinks are very expensive. Had 3 pints and spent over £17. Food good. Service not so good took food to wrong table if I had not said the food was mine the person on the other table who didn't oader food would have eaten it.
