OXO Tower Brasserie in Southwark

Thank you so much for the lovely, attentive and personal service. From the reception staff asking whether it was a special occasion, to the lovely wait staff, and the personal touch of the "Congratulations" complimentary sorbet, the whole evening was exactly what I wanted, from start to finish. It's refreshing to come to London and experience value, quality and service in a restaurant with a beautiful setting.

The food and the views were absolutely amazing. We shared the Special Lobster Linguine and it was sensational. The only drawback (and I know this makes me sound a killjoy but you want an honest review to help others) was that even for an 8 o’clock reservation there were lots of large parties with noisy young children. But I’d definitely go back - maybe eat a bit later

A return visit after almost 30 years. We had a friend fly in for a funeral so a last minute booking in London. The waiter was too eager and pushy to clear plates when guests hadn't finished eating. He did apologise but it really should not have happened. The food was good and the view of London although changed and a rainy evening was superb. A great reminder that the OXO Tower is a great place to bring international guests for the view.

The restaurant is in a wonderful location and has views over St Paul’s cathedral. Staff, service and food good but it seemed expensive for the standard of cuisine.

We spent £400 on food alone for 4 people and it was honestly the most disappointing meal. The actual food (pedestrian in presentation and taste) looked nothing like the website photos (high cuisine). It’s as though there has been a change of chef. We were there for a special birthday dinner and I was embarrassed to have been responsible for choosing it. Do NOT recommend

After reading some reviews was slightly worried but no need. Afternoon tea with champagne was a lovely experience from the moment we arrived. All the food was well presented and tasted super. Not rushed. Definitely sit outside if you can.

We were kindly given a lovely gift - 2 x £50 gift vouchers for afternoon tea at the Oxo Tower Restaurant. The food and service were excellent and the balcony and view were ok. But when we came to leave we were surprised to find that our £100 in gift vouchers didn’t cover the full cost. We were required to pay an additional £5 for a bottle of water and the 13.5% discretionary service charge. Let me tell you there is nothing discretionary about it! There was no way they were going to let us leave that restaurant without paying these additional charges. There are definitely friendlier places to have afternoon tea in London!

We had a fantastic meal at OXO tower this evening. The food EPA’s delicious, we had arancini, peppers and the aubergine with hummus and hazelnuts for starters, and everything was delicious but the aubergine was unbelievable. Our magic dish was the tomahawk steak, cooked to perfection, juicy and really tasty, I really loved it! The dessert were amazing too! I pile like to thank our waiter Ernestas who was absolutely lovely and made our experience really pleasant and also Aimen, what a lovely guy he is! You can really say he loves working there, he has a lot of energy and a lovely smile, he couldn’t have been more helpful.

Had wanted to try here for a while and i certainly wasn't disappointed. From the moment we arrived at the receptions we were well looked after. I booked the bar but we were able to order food from the Bar and Brassiere menu. The menu had loads of choice and wished we had booked for the restaurant ( maybe next time) as everything looked fab. We ordered some small plates and the food was delicious. Even tho the Bar was busy we never felt rushed and the staff were on hand at all times. The views from the terrace were amazing ( even if not the best day for sunshine). This is defiantly a place i will be recommending and hopefully will be back.

The OXO Tower Brasserie is in a good location right on the Thames. We walked there after visiting Tate Modern, and were early for our reservation. They happily accommodated us at the OXO Tower Brasserie. The service was excellent and the meal one of the best we had. My husband had the lamb chop dinner and I had the roasted cauliflower. My husband said his was superbly prepared, and my meal was flavorful and filling. Dessert was delicious. My only disappointment was that we did not have a window seat to enjoy the view of the Thames. The location was so nice. We walked along the Thames and enjoyed the wonderful songs of an opera singer, the amazing sand scultptures by Art Couzens, and a Pride Month drag show friendly competition. Lots of good feelings along the pathway.
