Oxheart in Stratford-on-Avon

We live locally and had meant to book a table when Oxheart first opened. But, for one reason or another hadn’t got round to it till now - what a mistake! Mark’s cooking is utterly sublime, and his set course menu was nothing short of exquisite. That and the discreet one to one explanatory service made our visit truly special. We will definitely be back, and can thoroughly recommend.

We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the various courses. Many times we just wanted more of the same - the scallop from Orkney was to die for. The finishing touch of chocolates in different guises was amazing.

The dinner tasted amazing. Do not overlook the wine pairing selection, since all of them were expertly chosen and paired very well. It's well worth the trip to have dinner here.

A beautiful little find! This is in the next village to us, easily mistaken for a house but this is so much more! The chef pays such attention to detail, food is incredible and we will be back!

It’s hard to put into words the intense joy that this restaurant brings. Yes, the food is creative, thoughtful and beautifully cooked. Yes, the service is warm and hospitable. And yes the passion and skill of the chef/owner is clear. Put together, it is a truly memorable experience.

I was so impressed. The attention to detail shown in every course, the amazing service, and the taste… We went because of a review in the Sunday Times - and if anything that didn’t do the place justice. The menu is incredibly well chosen and the execution even better. When you see the work that goes into each element, you can see why they only open twice a week. Would easily have paid twice as much.. a really special evening and we’d go back again in a heartbeat..

We were lucky enough to be invited to a small private dinner here at Oxheart. Our host had dined here before so knew he could be confident his guests would be impressed and he was so so right. Others have already commented on the outstanding food and I can but confirm their opinions. The ambiance, pace of service, everything down to the smallest detail was exceptional - thank you Mark you are a brilliant chef!
