We came here to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary and it was spectacular. The service was fantastic. The atmosphere was calm and classic British. The food was delicious, it was exactly as desired on the menu and really brought out the flavours of the dishes and the chefs inspirational countries. The menu had been curated with lots of flair and very well made. Definitely some beautiful food to enjoy.

Visited here for my husband’s birthday and was underwhelmed. Some of the dishes just didn’t taste great, for example the olives that didn’t go well with the pigeon but the thing that I didn’t enjoy the most was the overbearing Head Sommelier. I’m not sure if he feels he’s missed his vocation in the entertainment industry but going on for many, many minutes about things beyond the wine was really irritating. On several occasions, empty glasses were taken from our table without an offer of another drink. Try Pavyllon instead of this, it’s amazing!

If there’s one restaurant that has truly redefined fine dining for me, it’s Ormer in Mayfair. Without exaggeration, this is by far the best restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life. From the moment you step inside, it’s clear that this isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience. The food? Simply outstanding. Every dish is a masterclass in flavor, presentation, and creativity. Whether it’s the impeccably fresh seafood, the perfectly cooked meats, or the delicate, artfully plated desserts, each bite is a testament to the chef’s skill and passion. The ingredients are top-tier, and the execution is flawless.

Dinner. Two covers. Mid-week. Very quiet, understated, underrated, discreet restaurant. The cuisine from canapes to deserts (so rare) is of very high standards with quality ingredients. Great work on sauces. Two menus: 5/7 courses. Portion sizes are good. Progression of the menu is well thought-out. Not much work on garnishes (a brioche with a scallop as a garnish?) but that’s London. Most high-end cuisines have given up on those, sadly (except Ducasse at the D). Negatives? Not many on the cuisine front: this restaurant punches way above its current rating based on this visit. Even the dessert was subtle, light, the mignardises, smart. So rare as we all know. This restaurant, on the lower ground floor (....) is not helped by a quite sombre decors (makes me think of 1890 btw). Not a summer location imho. The RM, is very friendly and does his best. The sommelier, well, I have not met one like him for quite some time!!! One of the best 1* restaurants in London. If I were the hotel owners, I would invest in this team as, in my experience, if the team in the cuisine is ambitious -I do not know them-, it is unlikely they will stay at this location for too long. Such a high-end cuisine deserves a much higher profile, a much higher level of recognition. Great cuisine at very decent prices (for once!). A must-go restaurant. Do not know how often they change dishes/menus though.

This was a sponsored event so no idea about cost but I'm sure you need to part with a good measure of pounds. We had a private room and service for the guests in the room. The service was amazing, attentive, explaining each part of the meal etc. We had a set Menu that was adjusted for dietary requirements. Generally a starter of cured Cornish mackerel, with a lovely broth main of roast fillet of beef with a side of mash. I didn't have the dairy desert so mine was called fruit selection(it was not fruit) We were given olives and roast almonds and a generous amount of bread, with butter or olive oil and balsamic vinegar for those not having dairy. First of, all the food was beautifully presented and delicious. Each was paired with an appropriate wine, but I'm not a wine drinker so can't comment. My only quibble is the portion size. I am not a huge eater but without the bread I would have gone home still hungry. I don't know how much you need to order to get full but starter, main and desert didn't really cut it. I was so grateful for the bread which was delicious but if you're not a bread fan you're just going to have to order more food. I enjoyed the experience, I enjoyed the company, I enjoyed the service but I'm a hearty kind of gal at heart. I need just a little more food at the end of the day.

I had an exceptional experience at Ormer. The tasting menu was a delight, showcasing a variety of dishes with intense flavours. The staff's friendliness created a comfortable atmosphere, and the sommelier added a touch of humour and charm to the evening. Each dish stood out with its unique taste, making it a memorable culinary adventure. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience. **26/02/25**Another fantastic visit! My third time at Ormer, and it never disappoints. A journey through incredible flavours, with some updated dishes and exciting new ones. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the front-of-house team is absolutely wonderful—warm, attentive, and welcoming. Even a little treat to take home, perfect with a cup of tea to extend the experience!

This is one exceptional dining experience , incredibly it had been a year since we last ate here . Then I mentioned in my review the very warm welcome the subtle interesting food the discrete room with well spaced tables the lovely bar just off the restaurant , the manetta where we enjoyed rossinis served by cheerful friendly staff - all in all excellent , the head waiter and indeed all the staff are exceptional . An exceptional experience that on this occasion proved you can have a brilliant set menu with no longueurs , just the right length.

Had the five course set menu for dinner at ormer mayfair. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of the pigeon (it was my first time trying it), but everything else on the menu before the main course was a bit disappointing. The dessert was the best part of the meal. As it was my guest’s birthday, they gifted us with three glasses of Prosecco - quite lovely. The presentation of the food was wonderful, the service was more than great, just wish the food was a bit more tasty or had a bigger “wow factor.”

Gran relación calidad-precio, buena comida, gran servicio

Ormer Mayfair was more memorable for the service and ambiance than the food. Their tasting menu is a little quick and small portioned even in Michelin Standards. Dishes like their cured Cornish mackerel and roasted pigeon are still good, however the conclusion of the tasting menu left doesn’t leave a full feeling of satisfaction. On the other hand, their service was top notch. Very friendly and personable staff made the restaurant its self a pretty nice attraction and notable in that regard. Overall, I think the menu has to reflect a more fulfilling course selection for value and portion to warrant a visit compared to the limitless other options you could choose from in London.

Ormer Mayfair, nestled within the Flemings Mayfair Hotel on Half Moon Street, has firmly established itself as a premier dining destination in London. Under the culinary direction of Executive Chef Sofian Msetfi, the restaurant earned its first Michelin star in 2024, a testament to its commitment to excellence. **Ambiance and Setting** The restaurant's interior exudes 1930s glamour, featuring leather banquette seating, dark oak wall paneling, and handcrafted chevron glass screens. This art deco-inspired design creates an atmosphere of timeless elegance, providing a sophisticated backdrop for the dining experience. **Culinary Experience** Ormer Mayfair offers meticulously crafted tasting menus, including pescatarian, vegetarian, and vegan options, showcasing the finest seasonal produce. Chef Msetfi's background, with tenures at renowned establishments like The Hand and Flowers and Midsummer House, is evident in his innovative approach to Modern British cuisine. Dishes such as cured Cornish mackerel with sesame, kombu, and spiced nage highlight his skill in blending local ingredients with global flavors. A standout offering is the warm Iberico ham jelly, complemented by parmesan and pickled Bramley apple, demonstrating culinary creativity and depth of flavor. The restaurant's dedication to sourcing is further exemplified by its two-acre eco-friendly kitchen garden in Essex, supplying fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs, and its beekeeping initiative producing fresh honey for its dishes. **Wine Pairings** The wine program at Ormer Mayfair is exceptional, with pairings curated to enhance each course. Selections like the Sclumbeger Pinot Gris from Alsace and the Japanese Koshu "Yamanashi" are chosen to complement specific dishes, elevating the overall dining experience. **Service and Atmosphere** The restaurant maintains an intimate setting with limited covers per night, ensuring attentive and personalized service. The staff's knowledge and enthusiasm contribute significantly to the dining experience, with sommeliers providing insightful explanations of wine pairings. The adjoining Manetta’s Bar offers a stylish venue for pre-dinner cocktails, enhancing the overall experience. **Accolades and Recognition** Beyond its Michelin star, Ormer Mayfair has received four AA Rosettes and has been voted one of the top five restaurants in London by the Harden's Restaurant Guide. It consistently ranks among the top ten fine dining establishments in London on TripAdvisor, reflecting its esteemed reputation among both critics and patrons. **Conclusion** Ormer Mayfair offers a dining experience that seamlessly blends culinary artistry with elegant ambiance.

10/10 Ormer is a winner. If this is not two-star cookery, what is? The plethora of below reviews serve the same purpose as mine; to convey quite what an experience Ormer is. This was, no doubt, the very best meal of my life. Start to finish. Excellent canapés, packed with flavour, followed by what I can only describe as a flurry of impeccable cooking. Ham jelly - who knew?! Lamb, for me, was knockout - the dish was so cohesive, so well executed, cuisson perfect, served with the most delicious side dish of all time. I shall not spoil it - it truly must be eaten to be believed. What of the service? Also excellent. Service is something I’m a stickler for; being by yourself makes you all the more prone to the awkward gaps between courses, and more alert to poor or disinterested service. Impeccable service, literally top tier, can be found at Adams in Bham - I quite literally measure the quality of any other place against their offering. Ormer matches it. From such warmth to asking about where I work, to matching my passion for cooking, to showing me into the kitchen, all of these things were conducive to what I might go so far as to say was the best meal of my life. How lucky am I - 20 years old and still many more places to visit, but Ormer is one I shall certainly return to. A final thought - peach iced tea pre dessert - genius! My thanks to the whole team, and of course most of all to Sofian.

I'd never heard of this spot till the Michelin star and the rave reviews, and I feel like I've now found a London secret. Ormer is in the basement of Fleming's Hotel, and such a treasure. We went on a weeknight, and there were couples and quite a few diners eating alone, which is great to see...because why should you have to wait for a friend to join for a fabulous meal? I want to do that too. Life's too short. Anyway, for 79 quid for five courses, the selects were incredible. The service was warm...like a family, full of passion. Definitely add on the wine pairing - the somm is very knowledgeable and plucks some great bottles for you to try. I like that he really listened to our needs and preferences. They paired perfectly. We had a wonderful culinary experience at the Ormer Mayfair Restaurant. I say experience, because one gets to know the staff by the name, elegant yet cozy interiors, lights that are dimmed and food coming at a pace that makes it really enjoyable. Before even starting the exquisite dinner experience, we had the chance of getting to know some of the wines and champagnes from the first class sommelier Piotr. The restaurant manager Lorenzo and his team are all very professional and funny. And then there is the chef and his team. Absolutely exceptional food that delivers both on presentation and taste. So many intriguing dishes made with only few ingredients is what makes a chef stand out from the crowd. One has three different tasting menu options able to please any requirements one might have. Ormer is a real hidden gem, and a great place for dinner is a really good, plush setting with really fantastic , professional staff. There is no loud music like you get in some restaurants where it's impossible to hear the person sitting next to you. Its dimly lit and tastefully fitted out and would appeal to sensible diners with manners, but sadly we did see some unmannered diners just taking photo after photo after photo of their food. The lights from their cameras were distracting but that's not the fault of Ormer, but a reflection of the poor manners of the diners. The restaurant has spaciously laid out tables, not close to one another like in some restaurants, and there are some areas in a booth style settings. I would describe it as sumptuous. The food (including 3 sets of canapes and petit fours) could not be faulted and the staff took time to explain the dishes in our tasting menu, which was in some instances, educational. Notable dishes, the Turbot from the 7 course menu, the crumble which is finished off with liquid nitrogen (be careful as its super cold!). Ormer is a real gem, truly magnificent.

Good quality for price, service was excellent. Food was too creative for our taste, especially in the mains and dessert which were not balanced and too experimental. The Asparagus (main) with strong vinegar aromas and a chocolate Millefeuille were the biggest disappointment in the menu which is why I would give 3 out of 5 star. The wine was decent. The music was not a good fit with the restaurant (think retro videogame music) which was very neutrally decorated. The plates and cutlery were very simple and plain in color but had a nice quality to them. At £79 per person it is good quality for money however for a better experience in a one star Michelin go to Hide around the corner which has a real atmosphere and where dish are more balanced.

There are several prerequisites for an enjoyable meal out in London or indeed anywhere ese , the greeting , the room setting , the food -Ormer scores a 10 in each category . The greeting here is exceptional , other restaurants take note , you are welcomed ,the food is exceptional , the room is almost perfectly lit , the service is outstanding . So a great evening preceded by a drink in their bar manettas which is a lovely place to have a pre dinner drink , not too big , almost cosy , very smart . A paean of praise for ormer restaurant and its bar-well deserved

One of our best experiences in London. We would say top 5. The food was divine, we went for the pescatarian menu. They change their menu often. The ambience is really cozy, quiet and nice decor. Nice selection of paintings. It’s definitely a place if you like art. The staff were very friendly, polite, and really treated me and my guests very well. It was my birthday and they provided the best atmosphere we could have. Definitely we will return and highly recommend Ormer. When you choose a place more refined like this one you really expect everything sparkling and perfect. I am quite picky with places and I couldn’t find one single fault. I would suggest just a piano as background, apart of that, this experience was perfect.

We have been really impressed by our experience at Ormer Mayfair. This is probably my favourite restaurant in london and i can’t wait to go back. The decoration is beautiful, unique and very cosy. I suggest you start by a drink at the bar. We had a 5 course menu; it was simply delicious and so beautifully presented. Last, the service is better than in 3 Michelin stars. I suggest you ask for the table of 4 behind the curtains.

You will feel welcome from the moment you step into the building. The staff are genuinely exceptional! It was my first time at Ormer, last night, but certainly not the last. The service was a perfect choreography. The 7-course pescatarian menu, a delightful way of discovering the Chef's talent. Every dish was a savoury combination of textures, and explosion of flavours. Bravo!

We dined at Ormer on the first night of a 5 day trip to London in January 2024 and it was a great start. The staff were friendly, very helpful and happy to chat between courses about our thoughts on the food. Each course was delicious and packed with flavour. From the generous canapes, deconstructed Waldorf salad opener, stunningly light barley brioche, richly flavoured warm Iberico ham jelly, via the cured mackerel, impressive 2 dish pigeon followed by the brown butter and chocolate dessert, right down to the petit fours we enjoyed the lot! The flavours were all distinct yet blended well. At the end of the meal we were given another petit four to take away plus a small signed and dated copy of the menu to keep- a lovely extra touch and something which just added to the experience. We'll definitely return the next time we're in London!

This was a memorable dinner. Outstanding in every way. Beautiful cocktail bar beforehand with attentive and wonderful service. The five course tasting menu is just sublime and an absolute must. Although there is a seven course which included two amazing sounded dishes on top. The canapés weren’t only elegant and beautiful in appearance but lived up to to it in taste. Followed by the main event, all were heavenly and cooked with such skill and technical know -how. The chefs came front of house to describe dishes, a lovely touch and shared the enthusiasm of the food they have prepared. The wine pairing is just amazing with multiple regions covered. Again, all explained in a passionate way showing a real “love” for what they are doing. Informal atmosphere with formal dining, the perfect combination. The cheese board is a must (for cheese lovers) amazing and varied. Finished the meal with a wonderful desert which complimented the meal before it. Wholeheartedly recommend Ormer, ,how it is not Michelin Star is somewhat puzzling. Hopefully won’t be long .. it thoroughly deserves it. Thank you to all at Ormer for making this a truly wonderful experience.

Tucked away in the cellar of a hotel (Flemings hotel) in a narrow London street, it's easy to just walk by not knowing that you have a superb restaurant virtually at your feet... A very intimate and tranquil dining room, open and spacy yet well suited for low key conversations. Chef Sofian offers here a variety of tasting menus (with great vegetarian options) where local - at least British - ingredients are in the forefront. For instance: Cornish seafood and Cumbrian lamb, completed by vegetables from their own cultivations. The menus can be accompanied with wine pairings in a "simpler" (cheaper) package or a more prestigious selection. We tried both with equal satisfaction. For those who want to choose from the wine list an impressive selection is available - also by the glass, which is exemplary! Beautifully presented dishes - all with high refinement. And NONE was a dip! Very unusual. We felt a crescendo all the way through the menu. The menu is preceded by four amuses - equally elaborated. And of course, post dessert a bunch of mignardises is presented. Thus you'll end up with a total menu of well over 10 dishes. Service is impeccable and the timing and pacing between dishes couldn't be better. Ormer is far from understaffed and the hard working people on the floor showed "fingertip feel" for how to address various types of guests. It's not cheap to eat and drink at Ormer, but for the quality throughout and the professional service it must be considered more than affordable. In fact, this was one of our greatest dinner experiences all time! Ormer is mentioned in the Michelin guide, but it's a mystery they don't have a star. They certainly should have! Highly recommended!

Obviously a lot of choice in London and we took some time to choose a venue for an anniversary dinner. We landed on Ormers after a decent amount of research and we weren’t disappointed. We headed to the bar to start the evening, a low lit cocktail bar at the back of the restaurant. The service was immaculate and the extensive cocktail list was supplemented by off menu requests. The cocktails were fab (and strong) and the atmosphere reminded me of Milk & Honey in its glory days. On to the table, we were sat in a great corner table (would recommend if you’re requesting) and greeted by the sommelier offering a selection of champagnes to start the night. The menus came and you’re basically presented 2 tasting menus - the normal or the veggie. We opted for the main tasting menu and then visited by the sommelier again to chat about the wines. Ormers do do a matching wine selection but, given the tasting menu was mainly chicken and fish, we opted to just order a bottle of wine. The amuse bouche arrived and was 3 different dishes, all absolutely delicious. This was followed by a Waldorf (basically a consumme) and then the fish and main course. 2 desserts followed as we opted not to take on the optional extra of a cheese plate. The food was all absolutely delicious, however, the portions were TINY. I know tasting menus do tend to have small portions, but we did leave debating whether we should grab something on the way home! The service was outstanding throughout and the whole experience was lovely. Certainly recommended and four stars only because we could have done with either a few more courses or bigger portions!

had a wonderful date night at Ormer Mayfair. Went for the full tasting menu which had a few courses that were recently replaced. All the courses were excellent, no exception. Well executed, harmonious, wonderfully presented dishes, some quite original. The service was great - attentive, well paced and friendly. The design of the place felt a bit old, and the music volume was very low to the point you can hardly here it with chatter from the other tables becoming more prominent. The music itself that was playing wasn't really around a different theme or genre. The speakers also sounded a bit flat. This should be improved. Other than that, a really exceptional dinner. Highly recommended.

It was the most lovely experience. If you want a fine dining experience with a really comfortable relaxed, yet still very grand surroundings - you must come here. It was a truly remarkable evening. The dishes were something we’d never tasted. It was the first time we’d left a tasting menu feeling comfortable but fully content and well fed. The dishes just keep coming. There are plenty of fish dishes which keeps it light and you feeling good. It was unlike any tasting menu we’ve ever had. The service was superb. We were wonderfully looked after. Our sommelier had great suggestions. A five star experience.

We celebrated my partner's birthday at Ormer and we loved the experience. The place is beautifully decorated, the atmosphere a retro vibe from the 40s, with lighting and decoration carefully thought of and designed. We had a five course menu paired with wine, the food was excellent with a special mention for the mackerel and the lamb, exquisite flavours and textures made in heaven. As for the wine pairing menu, the choices were clearly made to put all the lights on the food with a good balance of classics and less known wines. I really enjoyed it and on a next visit, I'd love to see some more bolder options. The portuguese vinho verde, from the Loureiro grape and the Pouilly-Fumé wouldbe great additions :-) At last but certainly not the least, the service is exceptional. Friendly, very knowledgeable and attentive the team has my five 🌟

This place is 'something else'. Not cheap at all but worth every penny. No a la carte, only tasting menus: including vegetarian. They do 'wine pairings' but the very knowledgeable sommelier, Fabio, will guide you to some great wines by the glass if you give him some idea of what you want. Quite quiet with a limited number of tables but that's no bad thing sometimes. Service informed and spot on. Special occasion - give it a try (we've been twice and have every intention of going again). In Flemings Hotel in Half Moon Street, Mayfair.

A luxurious experience dotted with multiple surprises and flavor combinations to tantalize any palate. Upon entering the warm and welcoming Manetta’s Bar, make sure you try one of their cocktails tailored around famous British Novelists. I chose the Twisted Martini with not only a fabulous taste but so memorable in its artistic presentation. Dinner was a continuation of the same attention to detail and flavors, presented on unique and beautiful porcelain plate ware. Jerusalem artichoke velouté, White Asparagus with Mushrooms, Pigeon and Lancaster Strawberries were just a few of the highlights. Each was paired with a beautiful wine chosen by the Head Sommelier, Sevetiskav Manolev.

Since I do not eat meat or shellfish, have lactose intolerance, and am on medication where I cannot have wine, chefs can find feeding me a challenge. But Ormer’s chef, who offers regular, vegetarian, pescatarian and vegan menus, rose to the challenge. Outstanding meal AND service!

We began our evening at the Ormer Mayfair with martinis in the Ormer bar. We then moved into their beautiful art déco restaurant for a 6 course tasting menu paired with lovely wines. Very attentive and pleasant wait staff. Some of our standouts from the tasting menus were the warm Iberico ham jelly, the cured Cornish mackerel, and the roast Anjou pigeon. Instead of dessert, we had a 14 cheese sampling. The best cheese course we’ve ever experienced. Lovely evening.

Not great for working out of hours or if you have dietary restrictions. The vague statements about snacks, refreshments and “treats” when signing up are generally low quality biscuits and museli or cereals (similar to products from Lidl). The spaces are usually quite cramped during hours. There are no windows or natural light. There are other better co-working office options in central London.
