An incredible tasting menu - the dishes were fantastic with British & European influences. Each one was a piece of art, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The passion and knowledge of the team is exceptional. Each dish is carefully explained and the wine pairing was perfect and the sommelier excellent with the choice and explanations. Has to be one of the best restaurant in London and highly recommend you experience the wonder of Ormer. The first Michelin star awarded this year is very much deserved. The setting in the Flemings Mayfair hotel is stylish & sophisticated. Thank you for an amazing experience.

The best fine dining experience in London so far. Well deserved Michelin star. I’d say worth 2 Michelin stars. Big shout out to head sommelier Peter for exceptional prestige wine pairing which it is huge contribution to chef’s creations on the plate. Cheesemonger Alex had perfectly selected cheeses for us. And most importantly, it was beautiful to watch how the team together delivers top notch service. Well orchestrated place.

We were blown away by Ormer. I found it on Tripadvisor as almost every customer gives it 5 stars, a rare thing. So we went there for my partner’s birthday. We were not disappointed. Dish after dish of amazing food, complimented by a fabulous ambiance and a wonderful front house. The food was delish, but also illusions. You’re eating something and your mouth can’t make sense of it as it doesn’t adhere to the norms. Amazing. A real experience. A cross between Helen darozze (classic cooking) and Heston (out there). For me way above the mainstream Michelin starred Core by Clare Smith and Ramsey. I wish Sofian all the very best. I think we will hear a lot more of him in the future, and I so look forward to tasting more of his amazing. We will be in for a treat.

Ormer is amazing - a Michelin Star restaurant nestled in Mayfair London, not far from Piccadilly. Tucked away at the back, downstairs it is very cosy and intimate. The surroundings are very reserved, very plush, very relaxed. Also, some great art work on the way to the loos. The last time we went was before COVID, so now we are back in London we thought we go back to the old haunt. Ormer used to be a la carte, now fixed menu. The first thing I'd say is the menu doesn't do it justice - the menu sounds simple, but I can assure you the food is astounding. We had a 7 course degustation with premium wine pairing, but not until we had a glass of champagne first from the champagne cart - very nice. The Sommeliers (Peter) know their stuff, great picks with good variation, even throwing in a Flor Fino Sherry, and amazing Sake into the mix - choosing the wine pairing is recommended. There are several variations on the menu : Standard, Pescatarian, Vegetarian & Vegan - Standard for us ! The Waldorf salad was more like a small cold soup - delicate, delicious The bread amazing, the wine pairing was a Fino sherry that went perfectly Warm Iberico ham jelly - sounds interesting, I can assure you it is delight Cured Cornish Mackeral reminded me of sashimi - fresh, and light Langostine salad was next, yummy bits of crustacean on a plate The pigeon course served like duck breast, with a tart sauce - pink and tasty I cannot remember dessert, all I can recall is that is was a perfect end As much as we love Waterside, we adore this place, if you want to know what Michelin Star food and service is like, I dare you to do better.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ormer and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and chic decor. The attention to detail in service was outstanding throughout the night. The menu was a perfect balance of creative and delicious - every bite was pure bliss! The recommendations from our waiter and sommelier were spot-on, and their knowledge of both the menu and the wine list was impressive. A well-deserved star to celebrate perfectly prepared, intensely flavourful, beautifully presented food. While some dishes are very dainty, leaving you wanting more of the delicate flavours, we did not leave hungry. The cheese board is extensive with some gems even a seasoned cheese lover might not have heard of, and staff are incredibly knowledgeable. 10/10 Ormer is a winner. If this is not two-star cookery, what is? The plethora of below reviews serve the same purpose as mine; to convey quite what an experience Ormer is. This was, no doubt, the very best meal of my life. Start to finish. Excellent canapés, packed with flavour, followed by what I can only describe as a flurry of impeccable cooking. Ham jelly - who knew?! Lamb, for me, was knockout - the dish was so cohesive, so well executed, cuisson perfect, served with the most delicious side dish of all time. I shall not spoil it - it truly must be eaten to be believed. What of the service? Also excellent. Service is something I’m a stickler for; being by yourself makes you all the more prone to the awkward gaps between courses, and more alert to poor or disinterested service. Impeccable service, literally top tier, can be found at Adams in Bham - I quite literally measure the quality of any other place against their offering. Ormer matches it. From such warmth to asking about where I work, to matching my passion for cooking, to showing me into the kitchen, all of these things were conducive to what I might go so far as to say was the best meal of my life. How lucky am I - 20 years old and still many more places to visit, but Ormer is one I shall certainly return to. A final thought - peach iced tea pre dessert - genius! My thanks to the whole team, and of course most of all to Sofian.

I'd never heard of this spot till the Michelin star and the rave reviews, and I feel like I've now found a London secret. Ormer is in the basement of Fleming's Hotel, and such a treasure. We went on a weeknight, and there were couples and quite a few diners eating alone, which is great to see...because why should you have to wait for a friend to join for a fabulous meal? I want to do that too. Life's too short. Anyway, for 79 quid for five courses, the selects were incredible. The service was warm...like a family, full of passion. Definitely add on the wine pairing - the somm is very knowledgeable and plucks some great bottles for you to try. I like that he really listened to our needs and preferences. They paired perfectly. I also liked the bar area too. Overall such a gorgeous experience and at a fair price. What a night, thank you team for making us feel so special.

We had a wonderful culinary experience at the Ormer Mayfair Restaurant. I say experience, because one gets to know the staff by the name, elegant yet cozy interiors, lights that are dimmed and food coming at a pace that makes it really enjoyable. Before even starting the exquisite dinner experience, we had the chance of getting to know some of the wines and champagnes from the first class sommelier Piotr. The restaurant manager Lorenzo and his team are all very professional and funny. And then there is the chef and his team. Absolutely exceptional food that delivers both on presentation and taste. So many intriguing dishes made with only few ingredients is what makes a chef stand out from the crowd. One has three different tasting menu options able to please any requirements one might have. It should not come as a surprise to anyone that this hidden gem in Mayfair was awarded recently a Michelin star! Definitely we will eat there again soon!

Ormer is a real hidden gem, and a great place for dinner is a really good, plush setting with really fantastic , professional staff. There is no loud music like you get in some restaurants where it's impossible to hear the person sitting next to you. Its dimly lit and tastefully fitted out and would appeal to sensible diners with manners, but sadly we did see some unmannered diners just taking photo after photo after photo of their food. The lights from their cameras were distracting but that's not the fault of Ormer, but a reflection of the poor manners of the diners. The restaurant has spaciously laid out tables, not close to one another like in some restaurants, and there are some areas in a booth style settings. I would describe it as sumptuous. The food (including 3 sets of canapes and petit fours) could not be faulted and the staff took time to explain the dishes in our tasting menu, which was in some instances, educational. Notable dishes, the Turbot from the 7 course menu, the crumble which is finished off with liquid nitrogen (be careful as its super cold!). Ormer is a real gem, truly magnificent.

Good quality for price, service was excellent. Food was too creative for our taste, especially in the mains and dessert which were not balanced and too experimental. The Asparagus (main) with strong vinegar aromas and a chocolate Millefeuille were the biggest disappointment in the menu which is why I would give 3 out of 5 star. The wine was decent. The music was not a good fit with the restaurant (think retro videogame music) which was very neutrally decorated. The plates and cutlery were very simple and plain in color but had a nice quality to them. At £79 per person it is good quality for money however for a better experience in a one star Michelin go to Hide around the corner which has a real atmosphere and where dish are more balanced.

We dined at Ormer on the first night of a 5 day trip to London in January 2024 and it was a great start. The staff were friendly, very helpful and happy to chat between courses about our thoughts on the food. Each course was delicious and packed with flavour. From the generous canapes, deconstructed Waldorf salad opener, stunningly light barley brioche, richly flavoured warm Iberico ham jelly, via the cured mackerel, impressive 2 dish pigeon followed by the brown butter and chocolate dessert, right down to the petit fours we enjoyed the lot! The flavours were all distinct yet blended well. At the end of the meal we were given another petit four to take away plus a small signed and dated copy of the menu to keep- a lovely extra touch and something which just added to the experience. Tucked away in the cellar of a hotel (Flemings hotel) in a narrow London street, it's easy to just walk by not knowing that you have a superb restaurant virtually at your feet... A very intimate and tranquil dining room, open and spacy yet well suited for low key conversations. Chef Sofian offers here a variety of tasting menus (with great vegetarian options) where local - at least British - ingredients are in the forefront. For instance: Cornish seafood and Cumbrian lamb, completed by vegetables from their own cultivations. The menus can be accompanied with wine pairings in a "simpler" (cheaper) package or a more prestigious selection. We tried both with equal satisfaction. For those who want to choose from the wine list an impressive selection is available - also by the glass, which is exemplary! Beautifully presented dishes - all with high refinement. And NONE was a dip! Very unusual. We felt a crescendo all the way through the menu. The menu is preceded by four amuses - equally elaborated. And of course, post dessert a bunch of mignardises is presented. Thus you'll end up with a total menu of well over 10 dishes. Service is impeccable and the timing and pacing between dishes couldn't be better. Ormer is far from understaffed and the hard working people on the floor showed "fingertip feel" for how to address various types of guests. It's not cheap to eat and drink at Ormer, but for the quality throughout and the professional service it must be considered more than affordable. In fact, this was one of our greatest dinner experiences all time! Ormer is mentioned in the Michelin guide, but it's a mystery they don't have a star. They certainly should have! Highly recommended!

Obviously a lot of choice in London and we took some time to choose a venue for an anniversary dinner. We landed on Ormers after a decent amount of research and we weren’t disappointed. We headed to the bar to start the evening, a low lit cocktail bar at the back of the restaurant. The service was immaculate and the extensive cocktail list was supplemented by off menu requests. The cocktails were fab (and strong) and the atmosphere reminded me of Milk & Honey in its glory days. On to the table, we were sat in a great corner table (would recommend if you’re requesting) and greeted by the sommelier offering a selection of champagnes to start the night. The menus came and you’re basically presented 2 tasting menus - the normal or the veggie. We opted for the main tasting menu and then visited by the sommelier again to chat about the wines. Ormers do do a matching wine selection but, given the tasting menu was mainly chicken and fish, we opted to just order a bottle of wine. The amuse bouche arrived and was 3 different dishes, all absolutely delicious. This was followed by a Waldorf (basically a consumme) and then the fish and main course. 2 desserts followed as we opted not to take on the optional extra of a cheese plate. The food was all absolutely delicious, however, the portions were TINY. I know tasting menus do tend to have small portions, but we did leave debating whether we should grab something on the way home! The service was outstanding throughout and the whole experience was lovely. Certainly recommended and four stars only because we could have done with either a few more courses or bigger portions!

had a wonderful date night at Ormer Mayfair. Went for the full tasting menu which had a few courses that were recently replaced. All the courses were excellent, no exception. Well executed, harmonious, wonderfully presented dishes, some quite original. The service was great - attentive, well paced and friendly. The design of the place felt a bit old, and the music volume was very low to the point you can hardly here it with chatter from the other tables becoming more prominent. The music itself that was playing wasn't really around a different theme or genre. The speakers also sounded a bit flat. This should be improved. Other than that, a really exceptional dinner. Highly recommended.

We celebrated my partner's birthday at Ormer and we loved the experience. The place is beautifully decorated, the atmosphere a retro vibe from the 40s, with lighting and decoration carefully thought of and designed. We had a five course menu paired with wine, the food was excellent with a special mention for the mackerel and the lamb, exquisite flavours and textures made in heaven. As for the wine pairing menu, the choices were clearly made to put all the lights on the food with a good balance of classics and less known wines. I really enjoyed it and on a next visit, I'd love to see some more bolder options. The portuguese vinho verde, from the Loureiro grape and the Pouilly-Fumé wouldbe great additions :-) At last but certainly not the least, the service is exceptional. A charming café with a cozy and artsy ambiance. The baristas crafted expertly brewed coffee and served delightful homemade desserts. The eclectic decor and friendly staff made it a perfect spot for a relaxed afternoon.

A luxurious experience dotted with multiple surprises and flavor combinations to tantalize any palate. Upon entering the warm and welcoming Manetta’s Bar, make sure you try one of their cocktails tailored around famous British Novelists. I chose the Twisted Martini with not only a fabulous taste but so memorable in its artistic presentation. Dinner was a continuation of the same attention to detail and flavors, presented on unique and beautiful porcelain plate ware. Jerusalem artichoke velouté, White Asparagus with Mushrooms, Pigeon and Lancaster Strawberries were just a few of the highlights. Each was paired with a beautiful wine chosen by the Head Sommelier, Sevetiskav Manolev.

Had dinner here for our Anniversary. From the time we entered the restaurant, we had a marvelous experience. The service was attentive without being pushy. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was superb. Lorenzo, the manager was friendly and sought to our every need the tasting menu was the best experience I’ve ever had each course was more delectable than the last. If you eat with your eyes, this is the restaurant to eat in plating was exceptional and served with a flourish that made you feel special. They used all your senses to make the meal a fabulous experience.. We are not really drinkers, but the sommelier was attentive, even to a mid priced bottle of wine. If you have the chance, dine here. You won’t be disappointed.

Since I do not eat meat or shellfish, have lactose intolerance, and am on medication where I cannot have wine, chefs can find feeding me a challenge. But Ormer’s chef, who offers regular, vegetarian, pescatarian and vegan menus, rose to the challenge. Outstanding meal AND service!

We began our evening at the Ormer Mayfair with martinis in the Ormer bar. We then moved into their beautiful art déco restaurant for a 6 course tasting menu paired with lovely wines. Very attentive and pleasant wait staff. Some of our standouts from the tasting menus were the warm Iberico ham jelly, the cured Cornish mackerel, and the roast Anjou pigeon. Instead of dessert, we had a 14 cheese sampling. The best cheese course we’ve ever experienced. Lovely evening.

Not the best nor the worst experience, but expectations were not met. Had booked a brunch for 2 last Saturday. Staff was so busy on arrival that I stood at the entrance for a good 5 minutes, then was seated so swiftly I had to (call a few times) wait for a waiter to arrive and inform them I had a booking thus wasn't a hotel guest, upon which the waiter showed me to the table where my friend had been seating for the past 10 minutes waiting for me. Off to a great start, and it only got worse. We had to ask for a copy of the menu after being sat a good 15 min or so, our drinks order was not taken correctly so my friend had to wait an extra 10 minutes on top of the half hour it took to bring out a hot chocolate and a latte (which for some reason, first came out as mint tea). My small cup of hot chocolate could have been more aptly renamed as 'lukewarm' chocolate - it was just shy of plain cold. However, it seems that my friend's latte was not much hotter/warmer so I do wonder how they prepare their "hot" drinks. Now onto the plat de resistance, the egg benedict for my friend and smoked salmon for me. One sad slice of white bread, which tried to pass off as sourdough, nice scrambled eggs and a fair amount of smoked salmon. It was okay, not sensational, not even the best traditional breakfast/scrambled eggs I ever had. For the price and place, an utter disappointment. Service was painfully slow and the waiter couldn't wait to get away from our table (great vibe!), food was average, nothing outstanding to speak of and atmosphere was okay. I wouldn't go back nor recommend the place.

Absolute disaster, 14 guests, 2 guests main course missed. We were offered a glass of preseco as compensation. 1 main sent back cold. 2 guests not even asked about about dessert. Would I recommend definitely no. Staff not competent.

Excellent! If I could give 6 star I would. We started our visit with drinks in the bar which was all lovely, the surroundings are beautiful, the atmosphere is calm and tranquil, we then later headed to the newly redesigned dinning room to have dinner in which is grand to look at and take it all in, but not over the top... The staff were all superb which was a highlight of the visit as they're all very personable and attentive. We ordered the beef wellington which was absolutely delicious and the side dishes too along with puddings which were also top notch. Now the Goring dinning room is my favourite luxury restaurant in London to visit. An experience to be had for sure! If I had to put it simply I'd say the experience is a cut above the rest. Thank you for such a wonderful night :)
