I had heard extremely good things about this company through friends and finally decided to visit with my family and make a day of it as it’s a slight trip away. I found the shop very easy to find and plenty of parking was available. Upon arrival the owner and his team (which includes family and friends. Always a tick in my book) were very friendly and inviting. They were patient and helped talk us through what was available for everyone of the family. We got a selection of pastries and snacks to try and enjoyed them outside the shop. The pasty was extremely flavourful. There wasn’t too much crust unlike most bakeries around our area and you can tell these were 100% fresh. Now the sausage rolls are to die for. We had a chorizo and regular sausage roll and again the flavour was unmatched. This was 100% worth the trip and infact we later that day returned to buy more goodies to take home. We will be returning soon to pick up plenty more delicious items from the menu and look forward to trying all the new additions to the menu we have seen online! Would 100% recommend to anyone even if it’s a long drive away. There’s plenty to see all around so can make a day of it like ourselves!

Brought a steak and kidney pie from the original Cornish pasties today whilst out with the family. Food was absolutely disgusting, steak was extremely dry and the pastry on the bottom wasn’t even cooked. Think even the seagulls would turn their beaks up at this one

Absolutely terrible, I had a burnt meat pasty and my son had a cheese and onion pasty which hardly had cheese in it. My pie was also not fully cooked. Do not waste your money

Ohhhh my! The scotch egg I had was really something special, with a jammy gooey middle. The pasty was lovely, although little disappointed that the blue cheese was all in one end and the meat was rolled into the crimp......it gave the impression of being a bit sloppily made! But the taste was all there. The pie though.....absolutely nope. Was so gutted. The chicken and leek seemed to have no leek, but a load of potato. I would expect that in a pie at all. The sauce had all but dried out. Wouldn't recommend the pies at all. The service (as I note that there are some comments regarding this) well, the lady seemed to be in a bit of a flap, and the guy was about as nonchalant as was possible. I think they could be a little warmer and engaging, but that said, I went for pastry goods, not to be charmed haha! Just a heads up if they read this that it does make a bit of a difference to be greeted with a smile and a hello.

I have traveld to 30 different counrries some of them being third world countries and yet I have never eaten anything so greasy and poorly cooked as I have here, raw potato and barley coooked sausage meat the pastry was so greasy it felt deep fried. I have left feeling extreamly sick and it has put me off of meat for good please do your selves a favour and don't go here. The customer service was appalling we felt pressured into getting something, I felt extreamly uncomfortable in there and was getting stared down by a member of staff.

As a first trip to this place we got a mix of what was available, sadly no vegetarian food available and it doesn't look like the owners want it to be found. The TripAdvisor map pin puts this in the middle of town and the opening times are incorrect, there's no obvious address on their website either. Even the food bags are lacking a location or name. I asked a taxi driver where this place is and got a shrug, dunno but I've seen it on Facebook - I was less than 100m from it! Now, the food. Warn your arteries, there is a lot if grease and salt. Whatever has been done to the sausage meat makes it very sweet. The mix of sausage and black pudding isn't I honestly thought it was in two pieces. The strange little flan was overloaded with salt and the egg had a bizarre texture. The best part about the scotch egg was the egg but hey, you can't get grease and sugar into an egg. And the pasty, small even though it says large on the bag, greasy, almost raw potato and while the veg were once again both sweet and salty, the meat was flavourless. The pastry surrounding all this was so greasy and over worked it left a film not only in my mouth but all over my hands and car. Even my dog turned his nose up. The seagulls liked it though. Never again. The shine on the picture of the pasty is from the grease. Do remember that the pastry is meant to hold a pasty together not ooze oil and break apartapart

The beans were cold, the rest was barely warm, the mushrooms were missing ( I did report it but wasn’t offered any) I complained that the tea was hardly Luke warm, I got a replacement which wasn’t any better. The young lady was very nice and apologetic.

Very disappointing experience. Haddock was soggy and tasteless. Service has been very slow. Plenty of space for improvement. Not recommended

The area is stunning and so much could be made of this place but the food was revolting. We had just done a long drive and had not realised that most food is not readily available early in the week or after 2pm so went to the cafe hoping to get at least a snack and take in the views. The menu was very limited ,the staff did not seem to know what was available and were more concerned with sitting chatting outside. We ordered burger and chips and were eventually informed this was a veggie burger. Having gone through the limited choices we settled on chicken burgers. These turned out to be chicken goujons in a bun with some chips in a plastic take away container. There was no salad, relish or pickles and we were informed they had run out of mayo but might be some if I searched through the other sachets which were just inside the door.. There was no cutlery ,no serviettes and I had originally ordered cheese for the beef burger but did not get a refund or any alternative offered. This disgusting meal cost just under £30 !!! As we left the staff were sitting out in the sun chatting with friends and one lady was eating ice cream from one of the big metal containers usually used for freezer storage. Health and safety? Trading standards? This place could be fantastic given the views and location but this might have been the worst meal we have ever eaten and price wise very poor value for money. We recommend that you avoid this place at all costs.
