First time customer. Chow mien was lovely the Chinese chicken curry was very meaty and had a nice kick. We had meat spring rolls egg rice and chicken balls. Was lovely the delivery came quicker than the app said and driver was super friendly we look forward to having a cheeky Chinese again soon.

First time I’ve tried this takeaway , very disappointed, house special chow mien , mostly noodles with a couple of bits of beef & chicken , sweet sour ribs , tiny little rib bits, very poor food. Will not use again

Great food, great fast service and great polite, informative staff. I had the Kung Po chicken and chicken Chow Mein which were both fantastic, so much so that I actually went back to say thank you (which doesn't happen enough) and to ask how they'd made their version of the Kung Po as it had a slightly vinegary sharp/sour taste to it which made it so much better than probably every other Kung Po chicken I've every had 😊

Not a very nice Chinese, foods bland and tastes of nothing.! I had sweet and sour chicken and it was all lumps of fat no chicken init. China town down the road is much nicer, do yourself a favour.

Waited over an hour for delivery. (Unable to leave the house) by the time it arrived, food was tepid at best. Absolutely no taste to anything and prawn crackers were basically stale. Won't use again.

First time and never again over priced, and the worse Chinese we’ve ever had!!!

Final straw tonight as not only yet another price increase across their menu but they managed yet again to get my order wrong, despite quoting both the item and menu number !!! Told them strongly that in future I would go elsewhere....advise you to do the same !

After reading the reviews I took a chance on trying this takeaway. Quite honestly it was the right thing. Easy ordering on the phone with a helpful staff member .Delivery around and hour later by a very polite lady driver. Food piping hot and exactly how I hoped it would be. Everything delivered in secure containers and bags. The food was cooked perfect and really tasty. Definatly will be using this takeaway in the future. Thank you.

Great local takeaway good size portions

Extremely busy being Valentines Day. The phone was non-stop and getting through took multiple attempts. Order booked eventually and was ready within 15 minutes. Food was hot, as ordered and of a reasonable standard expected from anHigh Street Chinese. Well worth a visit if looking for a take away in the area. Certainly my normal go to when it comes to this type of meal.

Always go into the shop to order and wait for food as this is a very busy takeaway not a restaurant. Staff always efficient and friendly

Ordered a takeaway at the weekend and the food was lovely and hot was told an hour wait and it was so quick came before the hour was up. Food tasted lovely Service was excellent from talking on the phone to the lady who delivered it. We are so ordering again :) And to top it off got a lovely chinese calander for Xmas.

The WORST service I have ever received! I ordered my food and was told it will take an hour and half to deliver (which was understandable due to how busy they can get) the food didn’t arrive until 3 and half hours later… so i called oriental taste to confirm where my order is and we have always been so loyal to them. The manager told me I will not be getting my food and the delivery driver will not turn up anymore, I then explained that we have been waiting for a very long time and I just wanted an apology or something!! the manager then got rude and hung up on my face! I was left confused, disappointed and embarrassed to say the least! I will never order from them again and I don’t recommend anyone to order from oriental taste! WORST EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER RECEIVED!

Nice shredded beef and sweet and sour chicken balls. Along with large special fried rice, fed three of us for a little over £20, very tasty.

The food is decent and anytime I visit my in-laws in Peacehaven we get a takeaway from here. However, they never, EVER, charge us the correct amount. (And it's *never* less than I calculated.) Tonight's experience was a particularly awful experience. Called our order in. They even read it back to me. They said 15 minutes. Turned up 15 minutes later. Was told we needed to wait for our food. People came and left. Eventually hubby got fed up and asked what was going on with our order. Turns out it was just sitting behind the counter, going cold. This time we weren't eating at the in-laws but brought it all the way back to Polegate. Got home to find out we were missing five (5!) of our items. So their food is okay, but their ability to function as an efficient business is woeful. Save your (overcharged) money.

Chinese food just how I like it. Always fresh and really tasty. Beef in black bean the best I have had. Also the Chinese pork. Can’t get enough of it. Unanimous in our family that it’s the best in the area.

My wife ordered a vegetable curry and chips the chips were over cooked and the vegetable curry had a price of beef or pork not sure what but as she's a vegetarian you can imagine it was not nice . We have in the past found chicken in the vegetable curry and did complain But that was a few years ago we didn't expect it to happen again. We won't order from here again

Never had a bad meal from Oriental taste and been going here for years.When collecting food always seems to be cooked fresh and it's quick normally 15 mins from phoning and that at weekends.would recommend.

This Chinese restaurant in peacehaven offer good tasting oriental food, good efficient service' but best go pickup your food don't rely on delivery curry dishes are wonderful chow mein dishes also a must try place and reasonable priced.

Spring rolls lovely, special chow mein great and Hong Kong sweet and sour excellent. But my favourite was the crispy fried beef in chilli and egg fried rice, first class. Good value £20.70 and large portions.

Been going to this place for over 5 years. Definitely the best in the area for consistency and value for money.

Ordered food for pick up despite living a good 20mins away, and it was well worth it. Tasty food, good quality; we'll certainly be ordering again. Note that it is cash only, but there is a Sainsbury's cash machine opposite.

Avoid this take away......with in 20 mins of eating this meal which tasted off i was in agony with stomach pains and cramps...also vomiting over 6 times......i was taken to hospital in an ambulance when arrived and monitored i had food poisoning this was the only meal i ate all day....i was polite and amicable to the manager and just asked for my taxi fare and cost of prescription of anti sickness tablets......the response i got was to Fxxk off but offered me a free meal.......NO THANKS AVOID

I would never order food from this restaurant again ,..The beef curry was fatty and very chewy , the chicken satay skewers were dry and tough , the special fried rice was boiled rice with a few peas , and the Singapore noodles were tasteless ,...Awful food

The female there is absolutely rude. The food in my opinion has gone down. I used to like it but on two occasions has made one of us throw up. A better Chinese takeaway in newhaven.

Food was great, no problems. £17 for delivery of duck/pineapple + egg rice + mushroom chow mein (+extra mushroom), great Chinese takeaway no problems.

Chicken satay dry as a sandy flip flop,, chow Mein wet as wet can be roast duck was deffonatley a rubber duck wet rubber rubber rubber the prawn crackers were hard as nails the tango was flat I don't even get how that is possible and there was no egg in the egg freid rice

Best if you go when they are busy, as you can guarantee that the food is fresh and not reheated.

Been getting our takeaway from here for several years - never had a poor meal yet. Whatever dishes we've chosen, the food has always been tasty.

Very tasty and fast food, Saturday evenings are very very busy here, they open at 5pm and are usually busy immediately. Caution they only take cash, there's a Sainsbury's over the road with a cash machine though. They also deliver, just give them a call

Chicken chow mien very dry no sauce even though I asked for perciffley for the wet chow mein chicken satay was very dry egg fried rice was not cooked properly very disappointed with this definitely would not recommend or go their again coming from a chef

Food was ordered for delivery and an error was made with my curry I asked for just peas and mushrooms was put in the curry I phoned them up to tell them and they tried to make me walk to the shop to get a new curry, after explaining I was allergic to mushrooms he returned with another chicken curry with just peas like I asked for in the first place to be told that they don't like serving people with allergies he was rude because he wanted to close the shop and walked away from me to get back in his car when talking to him!! Ive ordered off them plenty of times before definitely WONT BE ORDERING AGAIN!!!

One of the worst chineese ive had. Pork undercooked. Chow mein the chicke was boiled. Rubbery wet and tastless.rrst of the food was cold and badly cooked. I think theres a reason they use plastic pots instead of the conventional metal trays- so they can reheat yesterdays food in the microwave and sell it next day. Not happy will not order again from here

They forgot one of our egg fried rice so we couldn't eat together, chicken is boiled not fried, like rubber jelly, Szechuan had no spice at all? Maybe they forgot the Szechuan pepper too? Shame when that is the main ingredient! When i asked the driver if they would like me to buy them an abacus, she called me a tosser just before jumping safely in her car and driving off!

We have tried them all locally, you know what its like, all good and then you have a bad one ! Not here, oh no. Give it a go the chicken actually tastes like chicken Fresh tasting and quick if you pick up. Go on take it from a fat bloke.
