First time takeaway from here .Have to say we we’re really impressed.Best Chinese takeaway we’ve had ,and we have tried looooooads ,during and since COVID days. Delivered within 30 minutes which is outstanding on a Saturday night 6:00 pm .Free delivery over £15 order.Food hot and very tasty and good price .Outstanding.

Phone call deliver order very rude women has major attitude. Delivery normally within 10 minutes but when she decides to be difficult it’s 45 minutes. Don’t ring before 5 pm she will tell you off. So this is the last time. Treat your regulars with respect or you won’t have a business. Sad as goods always hot and good. Their loss aye!!

Order the takeaway. Arrived in 20min. I tasted really great.

This is our favourite Chinese takeaway in this area by far - the food is delicious, range of options for all diets, and the staff are great. Polite, efficient, and work very fast.

Stopped here after a 2 hour drive back from Stansted. Got there after 10pm so figured I'd have to settle for a kebab. The staff opened up and took my order. The food was fantastic and good value. Great takeaway.

Best Chinese food in Reading no doubt

We’ve lived in Tilehurst for the last three years and still come back to Oriental Gourmet every time. It is an excellent takeaway with fantastic tasting food. Delivery is always faster than expected and food is delicious. Best Chinese in Tilehurst.

Oriental Gourmet is the best food I have ever had I use too order from them 2x a wk unit I lost everything. When I get back on my feet I will reorder from them because they are the best L Griffin

I think it was an error to order from this place. First of all, the place isn’t well look after, they have fishes but the inside of the tank was very dirty. Whilst waiting for the food, I was standing and I could see how they weren’t washing their hands and touching everything (food, items). Using their hands to take oil to put in the fry-pan. Putting the noodles with their own hands inside the containers from the fry pan … like I didn’t see anybody washing their hands even when they came to handle our food. Couldn’t pay by card, just cash… which we didn’t like it much. When ask for the receipt the girl was hesitating, but ended up giving it. Food isn’t good, is not tasty and is made with the minimum effort. Won’t be coming here again. To expensive for what you get.

First buy from here. CASH ONLY. Ribs salt and chilli dry: good. Quite fatty but the chilli kick is different and tasty. Big portion. Hot & sour soup good. Chicken with mushrooms good. Big portion. Special fried rice. This is really good. One of the best special fried rice I have had and big portion. Fast service and friendly staff.

Ok so i come here for me late breakfast and the employees are such willyfaces they are plain rude, the young one would. Not take me seriously when i was ordering and called me a not pro and should get some well deserved attention, also said want anything for your disability (im not disabled) fuging. Shiz never going back AND THE SPRING ROLLS TASTED LIKE poop

Had Roast chicken chinese style but it was awful, Chicken should of been roasted but was very slimy not enough sauce to make it that way and sauce was tasteless Barbecue ribs should of been in Barbecue sauce but it looked like sweet and sour but tasted of nothing. Over all awful, used to be the best chinese now I won't waste my money there

Best Chinese in the area. Good variety of food with reasonable prices. They've been willing to adjust dishes to meet dietary requirements as well.

Food is always a lot and hot, in 7 years I’ve had one problem they fixed for me quickly and felt with very well, food is always tasty

Just finished a takeaway from here, was cooked in less than 5 minutes, drove home where it was still piping hot and really tasty

Nice food reasonably priced, but the “crispy chilli beef” is more soggy than crispy, otherwise very nice

Absolutely love this place - I’ve never had a bad takeaway from here and have used them for years. Friendly and well priced too. Singapore rice noodles and Kung Po chicken are awesome!

Maybe not a fair review, but I had the pleasure of being in the kitchens for Chinese Moon Cake day and the feast laid on was fantastic. Cooked with real care and eaten by me and everyone else with real pleasure. Always good, but this time exceptional :-)

Always used this place for my Chinese. I tried Thai from here for the first time and I will never go back. Awful! Thai green curry was like thick gloop, no coconut milk used and had pineapple! In it. Pad Thai had no nuts in and had shredded meat in although it was meant to be king prawn only! They gave us sweat and sour sauce with the satay sticks and ribs. The spring rolls were not cooked and the prawn toast was soft. Finally while I stood waiting for my food I saw them heating the food in the microwave. So disappointed after years of eating their.

Food was amazing and my little girl was so happy when she was given the 🥠 the staff was so friendly

My go-to chinese takeaway in Tilehurst.... Their meat pancake rolls are superb - by far best I've had anywhere. Chicken Curry and Singapore rice are great too. Not had a bad one yet! Personally I like mine hotter than it comes; in both temperature and spice level - but nothing a few chilli flakes/dash of hotsauce and a blast in the microwave or oven doesn't fix :-)

My usual place was shut so gave these guys a call. good price, and was very impressed with the food full of flavour and decent portion sizes

5 stars will be not enough!I should give 6 if that will be possible. Good food in good mo ney. Cant wait to get more

Favourite Chinese in Reading, quality taste and big portions

Really nice food, been looking for a good Chinese for a while, spot on. Delivered quickly, hot and quality food. The only negative was the Pad Thai which wasnt to my liking but other than that will be using here again.

Absolutely disgusting service!!! Lady on the phone is very rude just ordered food and my boyfriend phoned because food was taken ages and the ladys words was "yeah it's on it way" and put the phone down on him then food came and they forgot the chicken curry so I phoned back again and she said check again so I said it's not here so she said check again!!!! And put phone down now my curry has turned up and and rest of food is cold NEVER ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!! such bad service
