Loved it, I had a gorgeous Sunday evening meal with my one, food was beautiful, we went for the set banquet, chose from 2 soups with prawn crackers, then a mixed starter, then duck and pancakes, then your main meal. It was lovely but way too much food for me which was fine as they wrapped it up for me to take home lol x very clean restaurant with a nice little bar and waiting area. I'd definitely recommend and we will definitely return .

Good Chinese food, the staff are nice, the place is nice

I've not been to the oriental delight for a number of years. I remember it being known as one of the best on the Wirral, but since I've moved out of the area I've not had the chance to return. We visited on Friday evening to celebrate my sons 17th birthday. The service was excellent, our waitress was attentive, and couldn't do enough for us. The same can be said for the young gentlemen who looked after our drinks. The food was incredibly tasty, and hot on arrival, none of us left an empty plate which speaks volumes, Great place and can't wait to go back.

Great food , great service lovely atmosphere

Turned on spec but despite it being a busy Friday evening we got a table. Good atmosphere and attentive staff. We always choose the Banquet for 2 option in a new place and we were not disappointed. Food first class, generous portions and served well. We were offered take away for the surplus which is a nice touch.

Decor needs a bit of an update but the staff were so attentive, nothing was too much trouble and whenever you did want something, it was served really quickly; plus it was a busy night, so I'm very impressed! Food wasn't bad either! I had the satay chicken, which was ok but according to my family everything they ordered was first class! Cannot wait to go back.

Service was great, however the food we found to be very disappointing .Have been here many times in the past and it's been great . I can only conclude its changed hands .Restaurant wasn't busy and in the past even early mid week its been heaving , which says it all really .

Shockingly poor meal from a Chinese restaurant that was great in the past. Are there new owners? New chef? We collected a takeaway for around £80 and enjoyed about £20 worth of it. Special fried rice was like something frozen from Iceland. Ribs were full of fat, grease and wet batter. Never again. Keep away.

One of the best Chinese Restaurants on Wirral. Very friendly staff too. Went again August 5 with 5 friends. Had a lovely evening. We were all really pleased with our meals. First class. Service was very attentive without being imposing.

Booked a table with my wife, very disappointed, food was well below par, possibly the worst Chinese I have ever visited, I have cooked better Chinese meals myself. What tasted like raw onions and mushrooms in my meal. Crispy duck was bland, curry samosas totally tasteless, I cannot understand why people rate this place, possibly they can’t or have never cooked a Chinese themselves or are used to chippy meals. The floor around the edges where the carpets meet the skirtings were filthy with what looked like left overs from many nights of diners dropping food. I would not recommend this place to anyone and certainly would never contemplate visiting again,

Staff excellent and efficient top food

Nice and relaxed. We take the kids and everyone enjoys it. Food is great. Reasonably priced.

As NYE fell on a Sunday, our usual take away was closed. I rang Oriental Delight ahead to see if we could order and was reassured that they could cater for us. Being gluten free and veggie our choices for takeaway or eating out are always very limited. This restaurant has a separate gluten free section on their menu which is amazing! I collected our food and was warmly welcomed. The restaurant was full and very busy so it was fantastic that they were able to fit us in at short notice. The food itself was outstanding. People with dietary requirements don't want to have to ask a member of staff what they can and can't eat. It's embarrassing and uncomfortable. We need to know in advance as quite often we're left with limited to no choice at all. Not here, this restaurant has the right attitude. Absolutely outstanding food and service. We've found our new place. An absolute gem. 💯

The best Chinese food on the Wirral! Not only is the food fantastic the service is just as great. So attentive and nothing is too much to ask for. Overall a great meal out. Great first visit will definitely be back!

This Restaurant is my favourite Chinese ever. Me and my partner visit here very often. Food is absolutely amazing the best. Especially fillet steak with ginger and garlic and starters are so lovely Ribs huge very meaty. Mark and staff can't do enough nothing is to much trouble. So welcoming. Love it 👌🤩

Everyone who works here is so friendly! And A* for how they prepare gluten free food! Never had an issue! You can either dine in or book a collection. Highly recommend the GF salt and pepper chicken.

Fantastic local restaurant with authentic food

Wanted to treat myself and my partner to some good Chinese food after long working week. Chose Oriental Delight due to the reviews. What a disappointment this was. We had deal for two, with soup, starters and main course. The hot and sour soup was inedible, it was so thick that it was difficult to put the spoon in the bowl. Like eating hot jelly. My partner had sweetcorn and chicken soup, which in consistency also resembled jelly. Both tasted of nothing. The starters were better, but the spring rolls tasted rubbery and as if made of old vegetables. The mains were garlic and chill pork and black bean sauce pork. The pork was soft but a lot of it had fat around it and little meat. The black bean sauce was way to hot and difficult to eat for a non - chilli eaters. Overall, the whole experience was terrible, overpriced (£50 with just one beer and soda) and put us off from eating Chinese food for another 10 years. The only positive thing was the service. Would not recommend eating there nor will ever go back.

SnP Ribs possibly the worst I’ve ever had.

Can't remember the last time I ate out at a Chinese restaurant. This was recommended when I searched on Google Maps. Absolutely fantastic food! The only down side is I don't live in the area, I am visiting from North East. Will definitely visit again when in the area. Not 5 star, 6 star!!

The banquet is huge. The staff very kindly boxed our main course for us to take home. Staff are wonderful, food lovely.

Possibly the very best Chinese restaurant we ever ate in. Service was impeccable , food an absolute delight. We had Banquet B and wished that we hadn't eaten at lunchtime. Will definitely return next time we visit Bromborough.

Another fantastic evening of food and service. We recently got married and having been customers for the past 40 years decided that instead of the traditional wedding meal we would treat our guests to a Chinese banquet at the Oriental Delight. From the initial contact to the actual evening Marc and the staff were very accommodating and absolutely brilliant with our guests. The food & service (as always) was excellent and just kept on coming! Many of the guests still keep making comment. Can’t thank you all enough for adding to our special day. Jan & Don

Never usually post comments on restaurants but felt they really deserved an excellent review. The service was perfect the staff where so friendly and polite [ I had difficulty opening my hand towel and the gentleman discreetly came over and opened it for me). The food was perfect served on hot plates and hot which often is not the case. Will definitely go there again 10 out of 10.

Food not as good as it used to be when we've been a few years ago. Disappointing.

The food has totally gone downhill unfortunately. Went with family to celebrate my elderly parents 66th wedding Anniversary. We always attend this restaurant for special occasions. It has been at least a year since we have attended to be fair and we where so very shocked at the difference in the quality of the food in comparison to our previous visits over a span of years. We ordered the dearest banquet. The soup was the only thing that hadn't changed and maybe the rice. The prawn toast was greasy the salt and pepper fried pork had no meat on just full of fat and gristle and where have the lovely pork ribs gone from the menu? The spring rolls where full of potato!!? Not the normal Chinese spring roles with cabbage and bean shoots and meat inside. The duck was ok but not a full duck for 7 people and not enough pancakes. The main meals where the worst. The meat whether pork chicken or beef where of a slimy texture and held no flavour at all and the sauces where tasteless. The quality was shocking and my parents where so disappointed as where we all. Needless to say we won't give visiting again sadly.

Great place, great food, great staff!

We had been for a meal here years ago and decided to go back last Saturday evening. What a mistake not to have gone back earlier. Lovely welcoming ambience. Staff so very polite from initial call to booking a table to being welcomed into the restaurant. My wife and I had a banquet (B) which was absolute,y fantastic. Other guests were receiving the same polite and professional attention. A well served hygiene grade 5. It was immaculate. Clean table cloth etc, all wiped die after guest had Jeff ready for next. A brilliant experience. Looking forward to our next visit. Great staff and thanks for you excellent attention and service.

We go here 2/3 a month. Food is just Amazing. Tried English sirloin steak as a stir fry with Bean sprouts Just beautiful. Mark Chris and staff can't do enough for us. Always service with care and Smile. Great peeps. 😊 Looking forward to valentines night! Kitty 😺

We used to eat here once in a while. But tonight was the first time for many years. It's had new owners since we last visited but we went tonight and it's still very good. Service is friendly and quick. Food very good. Will be back.

Went here Xmas day m, haven't been for a while but knew what to expect . This place is always lovely food and service. £35 each for Xmas menu, soups were really nice . Then loads of starters , duck and pancakes and 4 mains and desert . I'll defo be back here , nicest Chinese restaurant on this part of the Wirral .

Have had so many meals from here after finding they have an excellent choice of gluten free meals.

We are regulars in this restaurant which is usually very good. Tonight, however, although the service was as good as usual, the food was appalling. Thick, gloopy, luke warm, tasteless soup following by dreadful tasting food, most of which we left. I am sure they must have had kitchen issues with different chefs to normal but that is no excuse. Will give it a miss for a while.

We've been eating here for circa 7 years regularly and one of Oriental Delight's greatest features is its consistency. Some dishes will vary a tiny bit from time to time but otherwise they just keep pumping out great food. Staff are always nice whether its on the phone taking orders or in-person at the restaurant. Salt & pepper ribs, various chow meins & beef with ginger & spring onion form the backbone of our ordering so can highly recommend all those. But having spoken with friends & neighbours the entire menu seems solid there so have a go. FWIW I was born in Brooklyn & raised in the New York City area so I feel like I have decent knowledge of good Chinese food and Oriental Delight definitely qualifies.

Really good food, very friendly staff.

We had a great evening at the Oriental Delight with family. We have had several takeaways from here over the last year, as a result we were looking forward to visiting the restaurant itself. The menu is full of food I enjoy so being lazy I went for one if the banquets, no regrets though ! Every dish was tasty, portion size was great the food was just spot on, as the takeaways have been. There is also a good selection of beers and wine. All in all well worth a visit and I look forward to returning.

We hadn’t been to oriental delight for a view years as we’d felt the food had deteriorated but last night we really fancied a chines and didn’t want to drive too far so decided to give it another try after reading recent reviews. We weren’t disappointed, we were greeted by the very friendly staff and immediately seated. We went for the early evening menu. The hot and sour soup was the best I’ve ever tasted. All the food was freshly prepared, hot and tasty. We had seaweed in addition and that was to die for ;sweet and crispy. It was a wonderful meal

We had an early evening meal which was really good. The staff were a delight and helpful. We will definitely go again. The menu was extensive and covered all tastes with reasonable pricing and speedy service. In all a great experience

After moving to the area a few years ago we’ve been trying to find a good Chinese. I think we’ve tried every one and not been impressed until we ordered a takeaway from Oriental Delight. Excellent! We enjoyed all the dishes but the chicken chow Mein is the best I e ever eaten. Will be visiting regularly from now on 😀

Used to come here regularly but haven’t been for a while as we moved away. We won’t leave it as long though as the food was lovely & a staff member we haven’t met before, was really great. Chatty and friendly, checking our food was ok & was looking after everyone in the restaurant very well. Food was delivered quickly. We are vegetarians & such a great choice for us. We definitely won’t leave it as long next time.

Another lovely meal as take away. We had sweet and sour king prawn and one mixed meat and one char sui with peppers and black bean sauce. Really good portions. Piping hot and really tasty. Can highly recommend this restaurant. Always good quality and worth the money

Ordered takeaway for delivery.....arrived an hour late missing meals. Phoned and they came back delivering one of the 3 missing meals and stale prawn crackers. Had 2 phone a further 2 times before the final missing meals delivered. Customer service from the lady answering the phone in the restaurant appalling. 100% not using again.

In my family of 4 we have 2 vulnerable and 1 high risk for COVID, These guys have done an amazing job at protecting staff and customers, we felt so safe, Food amazing, staff so helpful, only downside was price of drinks, lime and soda water cost £3, used to be £2. But they have to get money back for all the changes made and we did only pay £60 for a £100 bill. Even if I knew how dear drinks would be I still would do it all again.It's the same in most places nowadays don't mind paying £2-3 for a pint of diet coke but lime juice and soda is going a bit too far.
