ordered duck in pineapple got carrot& union in pineapple never going there again ps i waited 30 minutes for that awful food

Fantastic meals! Spicy Chicken Fried Rice is incredible! All the meals I’ve had have been lovely! Although staff could be a bit friendlier! I like that it’s cash only too. Keep cash alive!

been going to this chip shop for over 35 years ----doesnot that say something-----never had a burnt chip love their ribs and meal no 2 is a bargain-----lots of meat and rice for more than 4 people even though its supposed to serve 2-----staff are brill---

Lovely Chicken curry my favourite but unfortunately the portion of fried rice that comes with it is too small. For the price .

Used to eat here as a teenager, went back today. Still the best sweet and sour chicken for miles around. The sauce is absolutely banging. Nice staff, still the same from back then too.

Very disappointed with the duck in black bean sauce with green pepper this evening. Lots and lots of green and red peppers, lots and lots of onions with a few tiny morsels of duck fat and fewer morsels of duck. Two stars given for the lovely chips ☹️☹️☹️

Very long waiting time for the order, the service lost in the confusion, the food was very bad for us. We went there because we were recommended this place, but it was a big disappointment. We reiterate our opinion that the food served by a competitive bar in the vicinity is much better. We will never go back there.

Got to be the best chip on the Wirral, everything we get from here is cooked to perfection and always tastes great! We probably visit a bit too often! Highly recommended.

Always value for money with excellent food and they don't skimp on their portion size. During covid they have installed a great system where you phone in your order and then phone when you are outside to collect your food, they have done more than most other takeaways to ensure social distancing is encouraged and implemented. As covid regulations have been lifted, Eastern Delight still have the plexiglass between the counter/staff and customers. Customers can enter the premises now it is your responsibility to ensure that you try and still have room for yourself and other's. I still prefer to call my food order in ahead of time and wait in the car outside until it is ready, this takes into account how busy the staff are preparing meals and keeps me safe as I can't be vaccinated. The food is more than 5* as the staff go above and beyond for their customers. I have been going to Eastern Delight on Borough Road since it opened and I have eaten from other outlets but they don't hold a light to Eastern Delight.

Can’t speak highly enough about this Chippy, super friendly and accommodating staff with my wife needing gluten free food also and the food is allways piping hot and delicious every time, I don’t know how they do it even when they are so very busy. Always my local chippy stopped going when they kept giving me beef 8nstead of chicken on meals but argued the toss when they know I e never had beef in my life!!!! Didn't go back for ages ( nearly 12 months) cos of the constant mistakes went back tonight as I was at Tranmere for carol service...guess what got beef instead of chicken I ordered and said I asked for beef!!! 25 minutes waiting for it to be corrected...if I could score a minus score I would

Good service and excellent food good variety of meals

Usually the takeaway of my choice .This time the meal was so awful I had to bin it after a few mouthfuls. I had assumed that my two hot meals ,pork ribs and egg fried rice might come in separate boxes but instead everything was together in one large box I mean it was like something you would maybe give a pig. It looked like there was too shallow compartments within the box but no matter everything was all sloshed together and it wasn't my Handling of it that had caused this. Even though it looked so disgusting I was hungry and wanted to eat.. after a few mouthfuls there was this strange metallic taste at first I thought it was the shrimps but it seemed to pervade the whole meal .I had no choice but to bin the whole meal after about three or four mouthfuls. As I said it is usually my takeaway of choice but I will be more careful in future what I choose...

Tasty food. Nice staff. Very clean chinese chip shop. At times, burnt warm up chips and sometimes meals are only warm. Used to serve fruity curry but now they only serve hot curry which at times is too peppery! Bring back fruity curry! Overall very good.

First time order after seeing the ques when popping into Tesco. Tasty food enjoyed by all. Even better that the food wasn't swimming in grease/oil. Will definitely be our goto Chinese takeaway going forward. The two girls serving were very friendly. The price seems fairly reasonable too 👍

If I could give 10 stars I would. Chicken fried rice is best ever. Its peppery flavoursome. Every meal I have ever had on the menu has been lovely.

The meals here are absolutely fabulous, we have a banquet - albeit choosing our own meals and each and every time your cant fault it - there is always plenty and tend to have the leftovers the next day which again always tastes as delicious as the day before. Cant wait for lock-down to be over so we can sample their delights again its just not the same out of a jar

Asked for a small portion of chips was charged two pound

Been up all night unwell from the food got we food from here was not good at all

Twice in a month, foods been overcooked and stale, hoped gravy would cover the taste of burnt chips but even that didn't work

I now understand why this place is so busy when I walk past! Not only is the food vey tasty, but it's served in very large portions. They will throw lots of lovely veg into your meal too and on request can reduce the amount of salt/oil etc to make your meal even healthier. Not really much most costly than other local chip shops so will definitly be ordering again. Note: They don't do delivery - but why would you when the customers queue out of the door?

We enjoy ordering from Eastern Delight vegetarian meals. Vegetarian vermicelli is delicious and fish too. They never let us down. Staff are lovely, friendly and they apologise if the order is a bit late.

Came here for the very first time on the aya home from the gym, sweet chilli chicken was overly spiced and covered on carrots. Salt and pepper chicken wings where absolutely banging though!

Love this place! They do gluten free options. I have celiac disease and have no reaction to food. Only Chinese on Wirral to cater for gluten free!!

I have been using eastern delight for a very long time and have never been disappointed with the service or the food! Great tasting food every time! The rapport they build up with customers is fantastic! Yes it does get busy, but I think that just shows the quality!

3rd time now they have got my order getting fed up of it now will not be going back!!! Wouldn't mind I've been going in there since the day it opened!!!

The Chinese food here is cooked to a good standard and not greasy at all which is great fir me with hiatus hernia , good value and lovely staff , gets busy but only because they are so popular . From 27 th May they are closing Mondays and Tuesdays

Unfortunately they are not on just eat so you have to go in and order. I also couldn't find an online menu. The food there is served in large portions, this is certainly what I found and my friends who have also been have said the same. Food is also very tasty and the menu choice is fairly wide. I had beef kung po, very nice meal and only slightly spicy. Food doesn't take long to cook and when I went on a Saturday night the place was fairly full with people ordering/waiting which shows it's a popular choice to go! Would recommend for cheap tasty food with big portions.

Best in the area good service and good food

This was our first visit to Eastern Delight & the food was simply ok, nothing to rave about & didnt make me want rush back there. Although in its defence the staff were very pleasant & the premises very clean & tidy .. so dont let me put you off trying .

Great food lots of choices. Always hot and tasty. Shame they don't deliver. Sometimes slow service because of them being busy.

This is our regular Saturday night takeaway choice and it never fails to provide tasty top quality chinese food. They also offer low salt options which they will happily incorporate in to most dishes. Cant recommend highly enough. We just wouldn't go anywhere else.

Best chinese food on the wirral

We tried Eastern Delight last night and can honestly say I have not taste nicer take away food. We won’t be going anywhere else. The food was so fresh tasting, the sauce on our chicken dish was fresh and not jelly like as in a lot of Chinese take away places. The portions were great, ordering was quick and easy, staff very friendly. Defiantly 5 stars!

Very expensive bland food don't get the hype with this place never again
