Worst Chinese food - EVER! Terrible spare ribs, hardly any meat, small portion, what meat there was was tough, chicken with cashew nuts was just about ok, small portions, though, complete rip off

I had a terrible takeaway last night so disappointing greasy, bland and glutinous . I asked for duck in plum sauce when I got home I had something completely different it was tasteless. It was either duck or pork hard to tell!! Loads of tinned soggy mushrooms and a few green peppers and some tinned bamboo shoots , I should have returned it but I was just too tired!! The egg fried rice was soggy and tasteless. what a waste of £11 I won’t be going there again I should have used my air fryer. It is not good enough to serve substandard food and over charge for the privilege

We got a takeaway for 7 people and we all enjoyed it, all dishes were hot and fresh the only complaint would be nobody liked the prawn crackers but overall was worth the 50 minute round trip and we would definitely go back

Friendly service and the food is so very tasty. Love it. It's handy location on a main makes it a convenient destination to pick up a tasty meal.

This was honestly awful, the dishes bared no comparison to any dish we've ordered from other Chinese takeaways. We literally could not eat the food. The crispy chilli beef was limp, chewy and didn't even look like beef. The duck in plum sauce, the whole dish was a pale grey colour including the meat. I would not recommend this place.

Crispy beef was like chewy, overcooked old boot; think it had been reheated from previous night! duck chow mein was average to say the most and fried rice was below par. Glad it's not my local! Was really disappointed, having read the glowing reviews.

I think this is the best Chinese takeaway in Bodmin the portions are good the sauce is spicy thick and very tasty, I buy from here at least once a week and it is always very consistently good cannot fault anything about this takeaway.

Usual customer of Wong's as they deliver, oriental does not. Wong's were on holiday so we tried Oriental. Salt and pepper crispy chicken very good with lots of chilli, Sweet and sour tofu just gorgeous. Pan fried noodles with bean sprouts quite oily- Wong's are finer, smokier flavour with much less oil. The pineapple fritters at Wong's are actually fresh chunks in crispy batter and syrup, Oriental's are 80% batter covered tinned pineapple rings in syrup. Service was great, though.

The lady behind the counter is lovely, used to be regular Chinese until I moved. Food was always great. Crispy chilli chicken is the best I've had.

A wide variety of food is offered and every dish we have had is delicious . Very good value for money, with generous sized portions. The staff are always very friendly. Recommend a visit.

The food was fantastic and piping hot still when we returned to our accomodation, The only downside was the roadworks throughout the town and the lack of available parking nearby! there are large parking bays all along the road but not a space to be had at all!

had Chinese from here two weeks ago and the chicken were very peppery and the young chow fried rice tasted different used to be the best chinese in bodmin but this place has gone down hill won't be visiting again as the Chinese from here now is yuk

As we were on a short break 8 miles away we were literally desperate to order from the first Chinese we came to. That was a mistake. Inside the very cold eighties throw back takeaway, with the decorative door on wooden carpenters horses in the corner (???), you will find an impressive menu. However after an afternoon travelling to our short break destination we only wanted to order what we knew. We love Chinese and especially crispy chilli beef. What you do not expect is it to be pineapple infused. Also definitely listen to reviews here. The veggie spring rolls were disgusting. They tasted damp and were soggy. All the other food we ordered was mediocre.

Collection, no delivery and parking was quite difficult. Previous reviews said to give the spring roll a miss, the sweet chilli beef had too much pineapple and the ribs were quite fatty- I agree with all three! The beef was nice though, as was the fried rice. Spring rolls did smell pretty bad!

The meals are tasty, filling and great value for money. Can I say more? Yes I can - the people that own/run the Oriental are lovely - they take our orders but never know that we will turn up - which is a travesty! They always serve you with a smile. Good food - good value and (in my personal opinion) - the best Chinese takeaway in town!

Nothing spectacular here and I would give the spring rolls a miss, but when you are in the mood for a cheeky take away the crispy chilli beef hits the spot perfectly!

By far the best Chinese takeaway in the area, the true taste of China with a warm welcome an a very comprehensive menu. The only takeaway in the area with a 5 Star Hygiene rating by the local authority.

Great service - the best prawn crackers in Bodmin! The containers could be bigger than they are now but I suppose the opposition are trying to beat you? They will not on taste.

Tenía llevar anoche, tengo que decir que me quedé decepcionado porque la comida siempre había sido mucho mejor desde aquí de lo que yo tenía última noche ... sopa era grueso y un poco gloopy, costillas estaban muy grasoso y la carne agridulce picante mein la comida tenía pequeños scratchings de carne que se perdieron en los fideos, con un calor insoportable y sin sabor. También había carne crujientes de chili, que era un poco pasada y no mucho carne, era principalmente enormes piezas de piña (que odio). pato aromático estaba bien pero no mucho sabor, debería haber sido crispier. galletas de gambas estaban bien, pero por desgracia eso es el verdadero única parte de la comida que disfruté.

La comida era insípido y seco. No volveré. chef espantoso! porciones pequeñas. utilizada para hacer un buen curry pero se ha bajado el nivel. Puesto que en la papelera. No recomendaría esta llevar.

We went here on the recommendation of the tourist info place and we were not disappointed. The food was hot, tasty and good value for money. Everything a good chinese should be.

We got a takeaway from here while we were staying at the Hengar Manor (about 20 minutes from this chinese). When it arrived it was still warm and it tasted delicious! There were 7 of us eating and we all enjoyed it! Lovely!

Very good tasty Chinese and at a competitive price.... don't be put off by its appearance from the outside, it's as clean as it needs to be on the inside just dated. However, as a take away its beats all of the others in town and prefer not to eat from the others at all now.Friendly service too.
