Hot food but very dry, bland and tasteless, not again will I order from here

Placed order online, delivery time came up and order confirmation email received. Waited an hour after delivery time before we drove round (phone just rang out) to find them closed. Website says open. Order was accepted and confirmed. Delivery time was given.

Ordered from here for the first time tonight, absolutely delicious, arrived quickly and hot. Would definitely recommend 😊

Absolutely awful service. Ordered food online on 8th July for a birthday meal at 5.40. Delivery was 1 hour they said. 7.30 still no food. Nobody answered the phone. Rang repeatedly. Drove there and they were shut. Had 6 adults and a child waiting for nearly 2 hours!! Went to Domino's. Eaten there many times but won't bother again.

Really great service and even better food. We got prompt delivery on a busy Friday, the food was really hot and so tasty. We’ve definitely found our new regular. Thank you very much

Would give 0 starts if I could. The man chef not sure if he is the owner is so rude has not customer service whatsoever huffs and puffs when you say you want to pay by card, gets orders wrong every single time I’ve ordered hence why I only go here if my main Chinese is shut. Gave me wrong order so walked back down to get it changed and refused finally gave me my money back after 10 minutes and said I could not order again. First time I had been I. The shop today and I must say I’m glad I did because it looked filthy alley covered in rotting food wouldn’t be surprised if there was rats out the back. So much more I could write but not gonna bother wasting my night in this absolute shambles of a “ Chinese restaurant” also smug blonde receptionist needs to sort out her attitude problem because not everyone will be as nice polite and calm as I was.

One of the best Chinese about food always fresh and big portions the banquet box is to die for will feed 3 and have som left over for next day only place I will go yes shop could do with a little makeover but that don't affect the quality of th food 100☆☆ rating from me

Always friendly, some incredible food. This place has become a favourite of many hence the long waiting times during peak hours but there is good reason for that. All time favourite chinese takeaway spot.

Always use here anyone as it’s really good quality, quantity and value for money. Used it on 01/03/2024, and it was super nice ! Even better than normal ! Highly recommend

This is HONESTLY the BEST Chinese takeaway in whole Maidstone! I only buy here since trying them for the first time, lovely cooking everything from scratch, no corner cutting with powder from packet sauces etc always tasty and quick! Lovely family who really cook from their heart! My favourite is Smoked Crispy Chicken and they always make it extra Crispy for me ☺️👌 Absolutely amazing!

A good Chinese takeaway in Tovil, Maidstone

Worst meal I’ve ever had, £63 wasted. Food could have been hotter for starters. Dry duck and barely any pancakes or sauce. Over cooked prawns in the prawn and garlic butter. Salt and pepper chicken was bland, black bean didn’t taste like black bean and the beef was tough. Chips were dry and awful. Only saving grace was the noodles.

Been eating here for over 8 years. Their food is competitively priced and the portions are good. Their sweet n sour sauce is the best. I also really like their chicken curry and salt n pepper chips.

Very disappointed, food was cooked to death, probably leftovers from lunch. Usually praise you guys, but not anymore 😡

WASTE OF TIME Placed an order and was told 1hr for delivery after 1.25hrs phoned to ask where it was and was told it would be 10 mins, 35 mins later and no delivery phoned again and was told they didn't have my order, when questioned they then said the car had broke down. When I asked why they didn't call to inform me, the phone went dead...

Been waiting two hours for delivery. Have tried to call the restaurant 15 times to cancel our order because we are so hungry that we are no longer willing to wait and they have failed to pick up the phone each time. Absolutely disgusting. If you’re not open, don’t accept orders- simple as that!!!!!! Don’t bother ordering for delivery.

This chinese is such a lovely chinese ive recently started ordering of them and there food is delicious i cannot say anything bad about them as the food is outstanding and always hot when delivered . Im a little pikky where i go but this is lovely.

The food here is always excellent. The place looks a bit tatty, but I've done work at the back of the kitchen and the boss is scrupulous about hygiene and his fridge and freezer temperatures! You can always ask for your dish to be modified to suit yourself, I always have the onions removed from the chicken curry! Place gets very busy most days, so if you want your meal quick, go and order and collect. From what I hear delivery times are a problem for all local take aways. 5 stars from me!

I visit here weekly for my lunch. The lunch time specials are well worth the price. The outside looks a bit grotty but the cooking area is visible and clean, with the food being cook in full view.

Chips disgusting in fact all.tasted deep fried in dirty.oil . Rice was one big clump.. In the bin were it belongs never again

We enjoyed our Chinese, arrived on time,hot and the food was delicious. The portion size was very generous, good value and we shall order from here again.

Great food has improved a great deal since Mr Lee has returned , don't forget to tip the drivers , they work only for tips .

Got veg fried rice... looked more like plain boiled rice, covered in msg and thrown in a wok... came home and ended up throwing it back in the wok and adding some extra taste to it...

Last night I used the Oriental Chef for the first time.Our food arrived on time and it was delicious.We ordered 2 prawn dishes which contained a generous amount of prawns. Really enjoyed our food and would strongly recommend this restaurant.😀

Preordered food from here via just eat, at lunchtime for an evening delivery, the order was confirmed just after their opening time, and half hour before delivery had a load of calls from justeat. The crux of it being they had fabricated a story of me calling the restaurant direct and cancelling my order! By the time I found this all out I had people to feed and no food. Bunch of liars, don’t use them.

Dreadful, so bad, the chicken satay was mushy, no bite to it no flavour almost tasted undercooked or like it wasn't even chicken. The chicken balls the same, lots of dough batter mushy under cooked and literally the tiniest slither of chicken that again had no bite flavour. It literally made me put it down and throw it out. I called the manager owner and told him and wasn't offered a refund or half my money just told he would tell the delivery company. Ok, honestly, that really doesn't help me. So he said ok 10% off your next order, really mate, a couple of quid. There won't be a next order. Stay away from this place it's the pits

Had a chiken chow mein and curry sauce so salty made me throw up like eating raw salt really disappointed

I have tried to support this takeaway for many years but find it's too hit and miss nowadays. Be prepared if changing the order within a set menu to get a completely different dish than you actually asked to swap for. Anything that is fried is saturated in so much fat. Prawn crackers are not as light and fresh as they used to be. A lot of dishes definitely lack seasoning/flavour. Delivery has always been pretty good though.

We had some great meals here but the last 2 have been terrible. We didn't get the meals we ordered and they were not good at all HAVE THEY CHANGED THEIR CHEF. We moved to the area recently but won't use them again now. Shame it was very good before .

Nice staff but really let down. Food looked good and fresh BUT the satay chick was dry battled to see any sauce. Ribs dry and not worth eating. Pork barbecue chow mein tasteless and dry, seaweed tasteless. The only meal that was good was the squid with salt and pepper. Sad as we spent over £20 and had to throw most of the food away and fill up on crackers. So looks fresh but dry and tasteless. Sadly will have to use

Seriously seriously unimpressed. Delivery time was 1hr 5 minutes. They’ve been good in the past but this was honostly the worst Chinese meal I’ve ever had. Seaweed, dry as anything. Spring roll, drenched in grease. Chilli chicken dish was dryer than dry with the sauce completely watery. I think the plain rice was the best part about the meal. Not a great way to spend your Sunday evening. Won’t be using them again.

Absolutly dreadful service rang ordered food gave full address and post code said they could deliver it no problem . sat waiting for food for 45mins only to receive a phone call saying they won't deliver to me as I'm too far away I wasn't!! I was within there 4 mile radius at 2.8 miles. I was more annoyed they waited 45 mins to tell me when I could of ordered elsewhere 😡😠😡😠

Great food although quite often had dishes missing from orders which is why we stopped using it.

Fantastic food from a fantastic people! Friendly people working in there and passionate about their performance on both service and cooking! A must try for anyone after Chinese Cuisine!
