Orestone Manor in Torbay

A second lovely relaxing stay. Everything about Orestone Manor if fabulous!! The "meet & greet" the friendly efficient staff, the inspired decor and the delicious food. There is such a nice feeling to this place!!! Would we stay again - YES definitely.!!

We enjoyed an absolutely superb stay, with extremely clean and comfortable rooms. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The menu was varied each day and the food was exceptional! Thank you very much, we hope to return soon.

Absolutely wonderful family hotel. Stayed here many times (6?). Rooms lovely and very quirky. Food and wine magnificent. Staff are wonderful. Garden lovely. Really quiet location. Loads to do in the area. We'll be staying here again most certainly!

I apologise that I've only scored 5 stars, it should be at least 10. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Admittedly we had one of the cottages with a Jacuzzi, it was fantastic. From the moment to arriving, with a lovely friendly greeting. We were taken to our cottage, everything was explained to us and how to use the various options. The food was spectacular and catered for our tastes. A good drinks selection and reasonable prices. The waiting staff, were friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. We will definitely book to stay again in the near future and hopefully for 2 nights next time. Highly, highly, highly recommended.

Fantastic night here - rooms are excellent and the restaurant is also really high quality. I love it when serving staff know everything about the dish. Will be keen to come back.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, lovely food and drinks, and a really comfortable room!!

Lovely hotel with great furnishings, pictures and ornaments. Food very good with a generous and very reasonably priced breakfast. A little upset by the brisk manner of some of the staff and we left wondering what we had done to upset them. Didn’t appreciate my partners birthday being ignored (I made a point of stating it was her 65th when booking) even though the next table at dinner had birthday treats given by the hotel.

We love staying at Orestone Manor. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are lovely and the food is out of this world. We can't recommend it highly enough.

This is a lovely family run hotel not far from Torquay. A good base for exploring Devon. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. Nice and quiet. No evening entertainment. The food is of very high quality.

There was no "Manor" spirit or atmosphere about the place..the couple/ owners barely acknowledged guests' presence with cursory, "allright" in passing by..

We stay here regularly. It is by far the best hotel in the area. Lovely rooms, spotlessly clean. Very friendly and helpful staff and a truly excellent restaurant.

Stayed for two nights to celebrate our anniversary, we were very unlucky with the weather so we didn't get to experience the house or it's grounds in the best light which was unfortunate. The rooms were well maintained and clean, a slight negative for our bedroom was the placement of the TV on the wall due to the low ceiling, due to this position you couldn't watch TV in bed only a little thing but has to be mentioned. The absolute stand out for this hotel is the restaurant. It is exceptional. High quality local food presented to an incredible standard. The Steak I had on the second night is up there with some of the best steak I have ever tasted cooked to perfection. Breakfast was again lovely, Staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming, all in all we had a fabulous weekend despite the weather, I would absolutely recommend Orestone Manor and we both hope to come back in some better weather and enjoy more of the fabulous food on offer.

We love staying at Orestone Manor. The hotel is a lovely relaxing place to be, with beautiful views of the sea. The best thing is the friendly service provided by the staff. So much nicer than a bland corporate hotel!

This was a gloriously indulgent stay … with Fireworks!! There is simply nothing to quibble over! NOTHING! Orestone Manor is a family run business - though “business” is not what it feels like! The Family welcome you like “old friends” and indulge every one of your senses from the minute you set foot across the threshold till the moment you wave your farewells! Would we go again? In a heartbeat! No greater praise needed!

Orestone Manor is one of our favourite places it is charming, I cannot comment on the bedrooms as we live in Teignmouth but l can say the food, staff and service is excellent. We enjoy lunches, dinners there and on our last visit we had been given a present of afternoon tea which we thoroughly enjoyed. We certainly recommend Orestone Manor Hotel.

They offer a beautiful setting in a quiet location. The sitting room is elegantly designed in the classical tradition and offers a wonderful space to read a book and/or have a drink. I highly recommend this establishment.

Delicious afternoon tea, beautiful view and excellent food and impeccable service.

We had one of the apartments of the coach house, hot tub , rolled top bath, power shower, leather recliners, coffee machine, fridge, kettle. Under floor heating was very quiet and dark at night, bed was comfortable, we had a 3 course meal which was delicious, only hiccup in my mind was no fruit tea at breakfast, wife popped back to the room for a fruit tea bag which they supplied in room. All in all worth the stay, we will be back

I go for coffee and cake with my friend on a regular basis. The home made cake is delicious and is always served with polite, friendly staff. Lovely clean hotel in beautiful grounds. Would highly recommend.

Had Valentine meal here. Superb 5 course meal with fantastic service in a beautiful location.

We attended the Valentine's night dinner event. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent, the majority of the patrons were over 50. We stayed in Room 6, a deluxe room which was tidy, airy and large. The room also had a balcony that looked over the side of the hitel with a slightly obscured view of the bay through the trees. Bed was large and comfortable, the shower in the bathroom was large. However, the water pressure was low, and it would have benefited from a shower head that could change the streams to improve the flow.

Another fantastic stay at Orestone Manor! Our rooms were wonderful, with stunning views overlooking the sea. The food was amazing too. The kitchen staff were also extremely accommodating for a coeliac family member, who felt reassured by their awareness and understanding. All in all, we felt truly looked after by Karen and her team!
