Orchid Fish & Chips Grill in Brighton and Hove

Absolutely disgusting service when called to ask for a refund for the state of the BLACK ROTTON chips they served, stating that black chips are normal!!! Please do not order

The Fish is great, probably the best in the area, the chips are hit or miss but generally ok. This really is my favourite chippy which I've been going to for months and was craving cod and chips but I walked in Fri 24th April and waited to be served which was approaching 5 minutes despite them having 3 people working in the shop I wasn't happy about the social distancing, not only is there 3 people in a very small area behind the counter but also the delivery driver was also hanging around in the doorway. One of the men serving had a slight cough and was flicking a piece of batter off his top and that's when I walked out having to ask the delivery driver to move away. Unfortunately I'll never go back as not comfortable with the hygiene.

U can smell the old fat before u walk though the door or if u order burgers the shop fills with smoke apart from that burgers are ok!! Chips are nice shame most of the food is not cooked fresh !! Shame kebabs come out of a packet and they don't take cards payments

As you walk up to the shop, you know you are going the right way as you can smell the stale frying fat. Also I don't like old chips refried in stale fat. Disappointing as they started of well.

Amazing fish & chips at this venue. Best we've ever had. Lovely batter and not dripping in oil like most places dish up. Nephew and fiancee love the kebabs here too.

Used quite a few times now, always good food, chips probably best in the area, great kebabs. Shop very clean and reasonably priced. Recommended.

Very friendly staff. Chatty and helpful. Patient too. However the kebab meat was dry and leather-like. Shame
