You can always rely on the quality of the food from TGIF. Unfortunately we found the service a little slow, but it was very busy, in fairness they needed more staff. It's always good value for money.

Absolutely abysmal service. Only 5 tables being used and plenty of staff so not busy. It took 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge we were waiting to be seated. The server then pointed were we would be sitting and walked off. And finally, after a further 25 minutes waiting for even a drinks order, we gave up, left and had an enjoyable meal elsewhere. The worst TGI's experience I've ever had. And I've had many. Night and day difference to your other stores.

Dirty, sticky table and menus (napkins physically stuck to the table!) Dirty, scummy glasses. Food??? Floating in drinks. Food overcooked. Extortionate prices for low quality food, service and cleanliness.

We really enjoyed our brunch at the marina, we tried some of the new menu items and the cheese donuts were delicious, our waiter Michael was really good as well.

Pasta dish for the 11 year old child was tiny. Explained that it was too small and asked for another portion which was not given free in order to make up for the tiny portion. Loud music, no still bottled water. Seemed to be running out of everything. Not impressed

Abysmal service from the start. Bank holiday weekend, booked a table in advance. Arrived and was told there was a limited number of fries (strange for a bank holiday weekend). We waited in our seats for a good 15-20 minutes with no server reaching our table. When they did eventually come over to take our drinks order, we were told they had run out completely, despite no one else entering and ordering since we got in. Decided to up and leave, and head to Aydo down the way. Shame as I love TGI’s elsewhere, but the Marina doesn’t seem to cut it. I won’t be returning.

We went to TGIs with our little boy today (Aug 2024). The terrible service started immediately, we waited ages at the door without anyone coming to seat us which was made more irritating by all staff seemingly avoiding all eye contact with us. After 10 mins I eventually approached the bar tender and said can we just sit anywhere or will someone eventually come to seat us? And he replied “someone will be over” then went back to wiping a counter. The place wasn’t busy but it still took them over 25 mins to take our order once we were seated. Then when the food came they didn’t bring cutlery so we had to walk around the restaurant and clean cutlery from empty tables. The cleanliness was pretty poor too, there were stains and sticky hand prints all over the seats, food all over the floor and a sticky table despite it having been cleaned. We have given the score of 2/5 stars because the food was actually pretty good. But the rude staff, poor customer service and cleanliness brought their score down.

Us and the kids really enjoyed the food, we ordered 2 rounds of the franks chicken wings! Our server Michael was great as well.

Came in last week and my server Leanne was amazing, so friendly and made my experience so good.

Food overcooked - sent loaded potato skins back - they looked like they had been left in the oven for an hour!! Dried and burnt! Burger was overcooked, onion rings tasted like old fryer oil!! But the service was great, very polite and helpful 🙂

I'm sorry but I have visited this restaurant many times and never experienced such a poor show as today. I ordered the Asian sesame chicken, which according to the picture on the menu comes with a slaw and dipping sauce. After complaining that it had taken 40 mins that our main hadn't arrived, it appeared with no slaw, no sauce and cold chips. When I complained I was told it says on the menu it was only chicken. When I pointed out that if that's the case then remove the picture, I got nothing, no apology or an attempt to resolve my query. I ended up returning the item and double checking it wasn't on the bill. The bubble tea was revolting and I was told this was because of the syrup used - then change it to one that tastes like the flavour that's been ordered. Be warned, the menu has changed, don't expect what you see on it to arrive, but do expect the prices to have doubled!! Overall an appalling visit and I won't be returning and what should have been a nice evening out was ruined by poor food and awful service

We all really enjoyed the bottomless brunch especially the Apple Jack coolers! The service from Michael was also really quick and friendly 😊

The most scammed I've ever felt in a restaurant. Server was lovely though. Utterly unreasonable prices, and what they brought out was insane, like they jacked up the price 3x for a joke Spent £8.50 on corn dogs and they were cooked from frozen oven packed, there were 2 on the plate and they were about 3 inches in length Five Guys is literally right next door.

40min wait for food (just appetisers), portion size was so so small! Corns dogs like 2 inches, nachos on a small plate, only like 8 tortilla chips! I’ve been to better tgif’s with better prices and portion sizes! If you’re in the marina, go to nandos, or five guys got better value and potions and quicker service! TGIF? More like TGIDHTECBH (Thank god I don’t have to ever come back here)

Awful, awful place, a burger bar and the waiter said they had no burgers, only told us that when we had drinks. Told the waiter we were leaving and not paying for drinks, only to be told they did have burgers after all. They then got my wifed order wrong and after 35 mins of no correct meal and me having eaten mine we had enough. Waiter was useless, manager not any better. If I could give zero star I would.

Chicken was lovely and moist, chips were seasoned amazingly, our waiter Micheal was very well organised and polite making our visit much better, would recommend to anyone, (vegan friendly:))

Had to wait quite a long time for food even though it was quiet. Had a salad and there was quite a bit of water in the bowl, the lettuce was still wet after being washed. Very expensive

Shocking service. Waitress was rude and wouldn't let me order 1 cocktail. Your outside umbrella was broken. When the food arrived, the waitress pretty much chucked our food on the table and left without asking if we needed condiments. I wouldn't go back. However the burger was delicious.

Not many staff so had to wait a while and then our food come it wasn't really nice I have an eating disorder which they catered for (beans) must off had about a small ketchup pot for a £1.00 not worth it and won't be coming back

TGI Fridays is not worth your time and money. If you're coming based on your okay experiences 5+ years ago, I wouldn't bother. Only came here because the ovens at Nando's broke down. Service is 1/5. While our server was lovely, the overall running of the place and the Manager themselves were awful. It took almost an hour to receive our food, and 3 of the dishes were exactly the same burger order. Enquired about the lack of Biscoff crumb on the £8 (overpriced) Biscoff milkshake and was told they "don't normally do this, but for this one time they will" when Biscoff crumb is actually written on the menu. When we tried to order the new mac & cheese menu item we were told it was not available, yet when someone in my family ordered the ribs (which comes with house slaw, corn ribs, choice of salad or fries, and extra sauce), only ONE of those four items was on the plate. We had enquire about the lack of the remaining items before they finally revealed that they are out of them, which is, in my opinion, too late to tell us. They should have given us the opportunity to amend our order at the start if 3 out of 4 of the items are missing. Have a look at the plate and decide if it's worth £21.95. They offered to supplement house slaw and corn ribs with onion rings but to our disappointment they only gave a measly 2 rings. Manager is 1/5. We had a student discount code for 20% off the meal, but their system "could not process" our code. The code generation works so that the user can generate only one code every 24 hours (to stop abuse of the discount) so on our end we could not do anything more as the code had already been made. However, the Manager claimed there was also nothing he can do despite our code clearly working; he couldn't even put it under another discount since that "also requires a code". There wasn't even an act of compensation on his end, like a free starter coupon for your next visit (not that we'd come back) even though the fault lies with their system and not us. Food is 2/5. Very average tasting food. Must point out the Biscoff milkshake is half drink half whipped cream (not at all worth £8) and the burgers were fine but very greasy. Atmosphere is 1/5. It was a ghost town inside there, and I can see why. No doubt due to the crazy prices (£25 for a burger, only £3 off their New York Strip) and poor service. The only people who seem to go are families with young children who can't tell how bad this establishment is yet.

Slow kitchen service, bad quality of food and missing items

Please avoid, the service is absolutely shocking and made to feel an inconvenience for pre booking a table because they didn’t have the table ready for us. Had no patience for taking our drink order and just walked off. I’m so glad we left before getting to order as I would have been gutted spending so much money here.

As long-time patrons of this TGI Fridays, we've witnessed its unfortunate downfall. Once a weekly treat, our recent visit left us questioning why we even bothered. The service was painfully slow, with staff seemingly uninterested in providing a pleasant dining experience. The food, while always on the pricier side, now feels grossly overpriced for what you get. Portions have shrunk noticeably, leaving us feeling short-changed. The restaurant's cleanliness has taken a hit too - sticky tables are apparently the new norm. It's clear that standards have slipped dramatically. The menu has been stripped of some of its best value-for-money options, like the beloved "bucket of bones." When questioned about these changes and price hikes, staff initially blamed COVID-19, then later the war in Ukraine. However, years have passed, and the situation hasn't improved. It's disheartening to see a once-reliable restaurant chain fall so far from grace. Unless TGI Fridays Brighton Marina undergoes a serious overhaul in terms of service, value, and cleanliness, we won't be returning. Save your money and time - there are far better dining options available.

What a colossal disappointment. The value for money is appalling, the food is bland and overpriced, and the service is abysmal. Despite being advertised on the menu, we were inexplicably denied the option to share nachos, only to find it available as individual portions at a higher cost. Similarly, a starter of guacamole and chips was mysteriously unavailable, even though these are core ingredients for nachos. As a vegetarian, my options were severely limited. The £8.95 potato skins were overcooked and tasteless. My main course, meatless chicken strips, cost a shocking £21.95 and consisted solely of cold chips and lukewarm chicken pieces. The service was equally poor. Our waiter was indifferent and unresponsive, even when our food was subpar. I strongly advise avoiding this restaurant.

We dine out frequently, and I was looking forward to taking my kids to TGI Fridays at Brighton Marina, as I have fond memories of visiting TGI Fridays during my own childhood. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what I had hoped for. Despite there being only about 10 tables occupied, the service was a complete shambles. Upon ordering our drinks and food, it took around 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. It was only then that we were informed that the steak we had ordered was unavailable. This news came quite late, considering we had placed our order 20 minutes earlier. When our starters finally arrived, there were no plates provided. We asked for plates, which took another five minutes to bring to the table. By that time, we had almost finished our starters. The plates they eventually brought were mismatched and faded, which was both surprising and comical. The waitress apologized, and it was clear she felt embarrassed, as we couldn't help but laugh at the situation. Throughout our meal, we had to request additional drinks and food items multiple times because they failed to arrive with our initial order. Even the desserts were not served as expected; they lacked the standard dishes for ice cream, so our ice creams came in unusual containers, which added to the absurdity of the evening. The quality of the food was acceptable, but not great, especially considering the price. The overall environment was also disappointing; the table, seats, and menus were all sticky. We ended up spending almost two hours there due to the slow and chaotic service. My kids summed up the experience by saying the food was good, but they have no concept of value for money. They even asked me not to take them there again. It's safe to say that our visit was a letdown, and I hope TGI Fridays can address these issues for future diners.

Terrible food, this place has really gone downhill from when they first opened. The service was pretty slow. The glasses they gave us were all pretty filthy and the food was pretty disappointing. In the end we left our food and grabbed something to eat from Mc Donald’s. It’s a shame as this place used to be pretty good. We won’t return to this branch.

So first things first. I haven't been here for nearly 6 years and it was quite good then. Tonight was booked in advance but when we arrived I asked for a window booth but was told it was the worst time to request it as it was all reserved. During our whole meal only 5 tables were used. Not exactly honest from the server. We had noticed on the website the prices had been removed. Now we know why. The prices are such a rip-off. They've gone through the roof. I've added photos of the menu so you can decide but honestly they are living off their brand. The waiter was good and did check after starters and mains were served. I ordered unlimited refil and didn't have an empty glass for long. We felt the food was just basic but covered in sweet sticky sauce to compensate for the taste. The table was sticky and so was the menu. The staff were good, the restaurant was ok but the food was poor and very overpriced. We won't come back. Sorry but I feel I have to be honest.

Visited for my nieces 18th birthday and had the cocktail brunch. I cannot recommend this enough. The drinks were flowing, plenty of food & the service was amazing. Jess and the team were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. I’d suggest you go and try it yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

What happened? We usually have a good time at other TGIFs, but today was bottom of the barrel. When the food arrived, no-one got it at the same time. Some items were just missing all together. According to one server they don't do flat cap mushrooms, contrary to what the menu says. When confronted I got some (lukewarm) corn as a substitute, but by the time it arrived I'd finished my steak. I really did try to hold off, but in the end the food was going cold. We were at first in the mood for desert, but the excitement waned after looking at our dirty dishes for what felt like ages. The times we did interact with the staff they were very friendly.

Saving grace was the cheerful young lady who served us. Spent £200 for 5 diners. Felt ripped off. Told they were closing after ordering so starters and mains will be served together. Place looks run down and rest of staff miserable. £20.00 for a burger meal which is not as nice as even KFC. £18.00 for 2 cocktails. I don't mind spending but this is over priced mediocre food.

We went to 'Fridays' twice - for 🍨 and🍹. We liked them very much, as well as the atmosphere of the place and the service - so we will definitely come back. Both times we were served by Jessica - this girl definitely deserves an award for her commitment and friendliness 🌟❤️

Walked in to TGI’s at around 7pm on Tuesday to a pretty much empty restaurant with my 70 year old dad with a walking stick. The server put us on a high table with high chairs/ stool like positioning next to an open door with a draft coming in, in probably the worst seating area of the restaurant. I asked to move, waiter said no as the restaurant had been closed off besides the seating he made us sit in. To be fair the door was closed for us but the reluctance to keep customers happy and the need to operate a lazy restaurant by saving their feet and walking a little was a massive red flag, so we walked out. Fortunately this meant we stumbled across Aydo restaurant in the marina and they couldn’t do enough for us, so it was actually a blessing that TGI’s initial interaction put us off. If you have a restaurant and people choose to eat at it, don’t shove them to your worst seating because it means you don’t have to lay a table. Competition for dining is fierce in the marina and it’s the small details that count.

One of the worse TGIs that I've been to. The service was great and friendly but almost everything was sold out, the kids beans were disgusting and the rest of the food mediocre at best.

We visited on Saturday with my two young boys. We were served by Jess who was really good at what she did. She interacted with my boys and made them feel included. She was polite, friendly and knew the menu off the back of her hand. She’s an asset!

This is by far better than other TGIs we’ve been to. Yes, the food is on the expensive side, however it was really good quality in comparison to most and the service was exceptional. Jess in particular was so helpful, anttentive and friendly and really made a fuss of my husband for his birthday. Thank you Jess!

We waited 1 hour and a half for chicken and chips, when people arrived after us they got their food before. Our plates and cutlery was dirty and we had to return them, the seats were crummy and hairy, the table was sticky and gross and on top of that they would say “ 10 more minutes” every ten minutes. The food came out cold (after that 1 hour and a half wait )so we returned it and it came back with the same chicken on the bottom and then new, soggy chicken on top?

Stakes not available due to still being frozen??? Ribs were dry and burned. Corn soaked in water for days..Tomatoes in salad looked like being chopped and kept in the fridge for days. Where were no slaw available in our main choice, not been informed about this prior to ordering. Very disappointed with our dinner. Message to the management: please do a kitchen inspections regularly and train your kitchen team to avoid falling profits.

I had such a nice experience dining at TGI’s Brighton. I have to follow a strict diet due to a very recent health issue diagnoses. BORING…… and embarrassing eating out but thank god for our lovely young waiter Michael who was so brilliant to me. He absolutely tried a million percent to accommodate me and make me feel so comfortable and nothing was a problem. Thank you Michael and great support from your manager 👍

Went here for a work meal, the food was not great, starter was ok (sesame chicken) my main was the glazed burger it was dry and crunchy, a colleague had a vegan burger that had a sticker, yes a sticker on the patty that had a date on it the date was 2 days earlier. We were told it must be where the chef hadn't cleaned down his station properly (gross), not to mention the conversations we could hear coming from the kitchen. They did give us a big discount, I will not be eating there again!

Decor nice, Staff helpful. Friday night 7-9pm very empty - prices of drinks and food is extremely expensive (only visited because of a paid for work event, wouldn't visit otherwise) Can't find prices online so here they are April 2024 (unless they get taken down by TGI !!!!!)

If I could give it less than 1 star I would, food was average.. but the service is terrible. Waited at the door whilst staff just looked at us, finally got seated after 10 minutes. Waited 30 minutes for our drinks, Waited 45 minutes for a main, and had to call over a member of staff for the dessert menu. Went to use the bathroom and 2 full grown women used the same toilet cubicle, like on a night out. Toilet was dirty and tissue all over the floor. It wasn't even too busy to warrent how bad the service was. The worst TGIS iv ever been too, don't bother to come. Usually go to bluewater and it's so much better.

Went TGIs yesterday, an experience I'll never forget. I wouldn't serve the scran to prisoners on death row... Ordered some halloumi fries and the waiter came out with a huge block of fried cheddar whilst singing Gold - Spandau Ballet?? Me ultimate rack of ribs were boltic and I was served the soggiest of nachos about and to top it off they forgot my extra jalapenos. If you're looking for the atmosphere of a year 6 disco or want to be sung to by waiters, TGIs is the place to be. If you're after a quiet meal out, avoid this place at all costs.

I will be short, unlike our time in the restaurant. The restaurant was mostly empty and we waited about 30 minutes - for a salad, fries and nachos. A couple minutes later we received another dish we ordered - PLANT BASED bacon and cheese on potato skin, except it wasn't vegan. We gave the dish back to the kitchen and waited another 20 minutes until we got our correct order, when we asked the waiter he explained that the restaurant has a big table with 8 people and that the kitchen is busy. I wonder what they do in peak hours, (as I said the restaurant was empty). Last but not least the prices are pretty high for what you get, but that was the least of our concerns.

Went for a bottomless brunch for my birthday and was genuinely the best restaurant experience I've ever had! Our server Matthew was attentive, and their was a barman called Rob who (he didn't have to) attended to our table the whole time we were there, came over to chat and check we were okay, gave us multiple lots of free cocktail shots on the house, their was 6 of us!! And made sure we were well looked after, we were also there for 4 hours rather than the designated 2 and we were never rushed or made to feel like a burden. I can't praise them enough, honestly 10/10 experience with exceptional customer service!! Date visited - 13th April Side note: After finding out my Gran had passed away on my birthday this truly saved my day and I am so grateful to them for that ❤️
