TGI Fridays in Brighton and Hove

Went here for a work meal, the food was not great, starter was ok (sesame chicken) my main was the glazed burger it was dry and crunchy, a colleague had a vegan burger that had a sticker, yes a sticker on the patty that had a date on it the date was 2 days earlier. We were told it must be where the chef hadn't cleaned down his station properly (gross), not to mention the conversations we could hear coming from the kitchen. They did give us a big discount, I will not be eating there again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening in Marina. Both the food and the service from Michael was really good

If I could give it less than 1 star I would, food was average.. but the service is terrible. Waited at the door whilst staff just looked at us, finally got seated after 10 minutes. Waited 30 minutes for our drinks, Waited 45 minutes for a main, and had to call over a member of staff for the dessert menu. Went to use the bathroom and 2 full grown women used the same toilet cubicle, like on a night out. Toilet was dirty and tissue all over the floor. It wasn't even too busy to warrent how bad the service was. The worst TGIS iv ever been too, don't bother to come. Usually go to bluewater and it's so much better.

We loved our bottomless brunch, both the food and the cocktails. Luna, Alex and Michael’s service were great.

Decor nice, Staff helpful. Friday night 7-9pm very empty - prices of drinks and food is extremely expensive (only visited because of a paid for work event, wouldn't visit otherwise) Can't find prices online so here they are April 2024 (unless they get taken down by TGI !!!!!)

The bottomless brunch cocktails were amazing, we loved the service from Luna and Michael

Went TGIs yesterday, an experience I'll never forget. I wouldn't serve the scran to prisoners on death row... Ordered some halloumi fries and the waiter came out with a huge block of fried cheddar whilst singing Gold - Spandau Ballet?? Me ultimate rack of ribs were boltic and I was served the soggiest of nachos about and to top it off they forgot my extra jalapenos. If you're looking for the atmosphere of a year 6 disco or want to be sung to by waiters, TGIs is the place to be. If you're after a quiet meal out, avoid this place at all costs.

I will be short, unlike our time in the restaurant. The restaurant was mostly empty and we waited about 30 minutes - for a salad, fries and nachos. A couple minutes later we received another dish we ordered - PLANT BASED bacon and cheese on potato skin, except it wasn't vegan. We gave the dish back to the kitchen and waited another 20 minutes until we got our correct order, when we asked the waiter he explained that the restaurant has a big table with 8 people and that the kitchen is busy. I wonder what they do in peak hours, (as I said the restaurant was empty). Last but not least the prices are pretty high for what you get, but that was the least of our concerns.

Went for a bottomless brunch for my birthday and was genuinely the best restaurant experience I've ever had! Our server Matthew was attentive, and their was a barman called Rob who (he didn't have to) attended to our table the whole time we were there, came over to chat and check we were okay, gave us multiple lots of free cocktail shots on the house, their was 6 of us!! And made sure we were well looked after, we were also there for 4 hours rather than the designated 2 and we were never rushed or made to feel like a burden. I can't praise them enough, honestly 10/10 experience with exceptional customer service!! Date visited - 13th April Side note: After finding out my Gran had passed away on my birthday this truly saved my day and I am so grateful to them for that ❤️

Great food today at the marina. The fajitas were perfect and we enjoyed the service from our waiter Michael.

Went on a Saturday night around 6pm and they were fully booked but they got us a table for 4, then it went down hill from here. got our drinks 1st then our order for starter and main. got the starter within 45mins then the main over an hour / hour and 30 mins later, we looked around and every table was the same no food just drinks. they did knock off 25% off the bill. but will not return and I can see this place closing down within a year. The waitress did her best and I did feel sorry for her as it was not her fault. poor management and kitchen management.

I had an amazing big time with my young family midweek , all very tired , kids and all but the staff made my birthday feel really fun and welcoming. The food was good but the cocktails even better. The ribs were my fav and less fav the hot chicken wings . It is expensive meals but portions are massive! Kids eat free either each adult meal via app - thanks guys x

Great service by Michael tonight and a nice atmosphere in the marina tonight. I especially enjoyed the boneless hot wings.

we arrived at 18:30. The atmosphere didn’t seem too bad until another table was complaining - we thought they were just grumpy and felt sorry for the staff. After ordering our food, we waited… and waited and waited. It got to over an hour and we asked how long our food will be (we still hadn’t had our starters). It then got to 20:00 and we had enough. We both had 2 drinks and our food still never arrived. Many tables around us had the same problem. We all walked out in the end. Terrible service and we will NOT be returning. Staff was also rude, I had the cutlery tray over my head so I could barely hear my partner talking to me, staff were taking our drinks before we had finished them, dropping 6 plates around us. I will also not recommend TGIfridays and will make sure any friends or family swerve this place!!

First time of being here with my family, I don't know what to expect. But, our server Michael provided astronomical service and even suggested us a better offer than what we we're going get originally! I will a 100% be going back and I wouldn't have been without the incredible service of our server Michael!

Long long waits , average food at London prices, this is grotty Brighton Marina not London soho, this venue has a very cheap, down market feel, with rip-off Chicken pasta dish £19.50 have about 25 grams of chicken, a real insult . £13 for a mocktails served in a low quality glass and cheap ingredients bought from Asda 50 minute wait for food, the couple next to my table walked out and left after 10 mins with no service

Nice food service was a little slow

We went on Saturday lunchtime, the restaurant didn't look busy and we got seated easily. However we had to wait around half an hour for someone to come and take our order, followed by over half hr for the food to come. We were told by the waitress the kitchen were short staffed, and there dodnt seem to be enough waiting staff either. They should not be taking further guests into the restaurant if they cannot feed them I'm under an hour (without at least prior warning to give guests the choice to stay!). I had to chase for my sons drink which was missing from the order, and when it came the glass had cracks in it. We spoke with the manager afterwards who was not willing to apologise or accept responsibility for our poor experience, and blamed 'peak time' for the 'standard' wait. At peak time they should have ensured they had more staff available! Thankfully we enjoyed the food when it finally arrived, but we will certainly not be going back there again.

Came alone and enjoyed the sesame chicken strips stater and a wonderful New York strip. The service from Michael was great!

Well I’m going to write a review as looking at all the one stars afraid they’re going to get another one went there today ordered chicken fajitas looked like last weeks food reheated with one spoon of side cheese Complain then someone come along took it away then another person turned up and said asked me what was wrong with it , listen people the staff know what they’re serving up and I know it’s no good Crap looked around and most peoples plate still had lots of food left on and then I looked at the bar looks like it was mainly empty of drinks is this place is closing down I felt sorry for the poor people that were dining in there spending their hard earned money I could go on What’s the Point

Went on a Monday night. Arrived at about 2000. Greated by a staff member who asked if we had a table booked. I said no. She said oh ok hmm let me see. The place was empty. Literally one couple in there. She sat us at a table. And hurrily asked if we wanted to order. We eventually ordered and ate out food. After a while I asked for a refill on coke. To which it was brought over by a very angry bar staff member who slamed it on the table spilling some. And walked off. We then asked the staff for the fruit that should come with the kids meals. To which the waitress said oh you want that still as they haven't finished their food. In shock I was like yes if I'm paying for it we want it. Anyway after we had finished I caught the attention of whom I imagine was the manager to pay the bill. She was sat at the back of the restraunt on her computers and all the other staff were gone. She said sorry they r all doing clean up now. Surely if u have paying customers in the restraunt u leave one staff at least out. The manager took our payment and we left very disappointed and let down by food and service.

The food & general quality of service has gone really downhill. Our food took 45 mins to arrive with only 5 other tables of guests in the whole restaurant. 3 out of 4 of our plates came with wrong sides & food looked like it had been sat around for a while as the melted cheese in burgers had solidified etc. I remember when the experience at TGI’s was really top notch, but not any longer. Our waiter was really trying to make up for it, and he was very apologetic. The only positive thing was that they did discount our bill for the poor experience, so at least we weren’t expected to cough up the high price they demand for such poor food. They should be aiming to fulfill the experience the are clearly aiming for, overall a big disappointment.

Michael was our host and he provided a great service. Would definitely come back in the future

Winded up at the absolute joke of a restaurant twice now, and it hasn't improved. Our waiter was a lovely bloke and we all generally felt sorry for him, he was forced to be the face of such a poor performing restaurant. The food was below average, we generally could've had better food and customer experience at whether spoons, and for half the price. We ordered and waited some time for the food to arrive, eventually a waiter came to tell us that actually part of the order wasn't actually now available from the kitchen so we would have to choose something else. This was done. We waited and then the waiter came over to tell us that this wasn't actually available anymore from the kitchen... The options were getting limited. Long story short the plates that eventually turned up looked like they had been thrown together by a kitchen that lacks detail, passion and any kind of cooking skill. Result: avoid.

Been here a few times and everytime has been bad for different reasons so now we go to a different tgi fridays • dirty chairs and grubby walls with kids sauce hands. •toilet was dirtier than a nightclub toilet would be at 2am. Was shocked! •waited 45 minutes from ordering. •fries burnt to a crisp and potato skins were solid •one time we didnt even get our order for 90 minutes we left and said just forget about it.

Only give 3 stars because of waiting time and price of food and drinks £4.50 for a can of Dr pepper is a joke however the staff are great and it's a lovely atmosphere

A total joke and of a restaurant, I ordered loaded fries that was on the menu with a picture and was shocked to get what I got, I asked the staff if I ordered the wrong thing and they said no that’s the loads fries, on top of this my daughter had frozen beans served not even been cooked, and the ciabatta looked nothing like a ciabatta, will never go again steer clear of this place

Great service and server was always engaging in frequently friendly conversations regards our server, Food and drinks was 10/10 And the WOW factor of the Raspberry ripple cocktails really impressed us, Only complaint was the GF (Gluten free) tortillas tasted stale and almost cardboardy

After re-ordering a sundae twice - due to the kitchen running out of ingredients - we finally received a sundae made with cheap quality ice cream that was icy. When questioning why we were then charged full price for the “ultimate sundae” when ingredients were missing - we were then called condescending. The manager was then able to knock the ice cream down to £10 but it was still very expensive! The chicken was good but also expensive! When we were told they would bring over the card machine to pay - we then had to wait for a birthday song. No cutlery on the tables, meaning we had to ask, and the music was incredibly loud. Very poor atmosphere in comparison to the TGIF location in Coventry.

They deserve the worst restraunt award!...avoid this place. Very over priced and bad food....we waited for ages for our food and we almost left as kids were getting sleepy....we ordered ribs, it was very bad quality and made our stomach hurt...for an expensive restaurant , you expect a good quality food but was disgusting...very disappointed

Me and my partner had our first visit and had the bottomless brunch. Not a lot of choices for food part but good enough portions, took a while for drinks to start but once the started the servers kept taking orders , we just about had 6 cocktails but we could've had more if we wanted too !! 😜 Servers are wonderful and lovely setting

The service from Michael was phenomenal. I would recommend his service. He is a lovely guy. Make sure to tip him for his service.

It's been a while since we visited TGIs and our first here. Met up with our adult kids before we went away. We were all left disappointed, very expensive for the small portion you get. I had the premium half rack of ribs, which was 5 ribs and 4 strips of meat for over £23. We ended up going to weatherspoons next door for pudding as I refused to pay over £8 for what I imagined to be a small pub. Sorry, TGI, but we won't be back.

The food at TGI Fridays in Brighton Marina was appalling and overpriced. To pay £18.50 for a tortilla with hardly any filling i.e. six tiny cubes of chicken and a sprinkling of cheese - no dip, no anything but a bag of chips - really ! So called loaded fries where the portion was so small, it fitted inside a small side plate. Cutlery that arrived after one of us had eaten. A waitress who tried hard and settled a discount off the food - if you can call it that. She was kind and it wansn’t her fault - but I felt sorry for her having to sell and upsell such poor quality and meagrely portioned food, we Went to TGI’s in the US a couple of years ago which was great - but the place in Brighton Marina really needs to take a long look at itself, their overflowing bins and unbrushed floors. Don’t eat here , it’s a rip off of a place that has lost its way.

Just after Christmas's my first forrey into a TGI Friday. Good food, and talking to the staff, we got a custom cocktail

The manager here was attentive and helped with one of my party having a gluten and dairy allergy. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming even when they seemed rushed off their feet. Always a nice experience here.

Pleasant and polite staff but horrifically slow. Wind erosion is quicker than service here. We waited 40 minutes for our starter, then about thirty minutes for our mains. They forgot the side of onion rings we’d ordered and the burger was like leather. They didn’t charge us for the onion rings which was good, but it’s just an organisational nightmare in this restaurant. It’s the same every time we go, we keep saying ‘never again’, but somehow end up there! Not anymore, sorry TGI’s, it’s a no from us. If you want to eat in a timely fashion DON’T Come to this restaurant. Quite overpriced too, £20 for a burger and fries, best go to Fiveguys as it’s ten times better and one hundred times quicker. Admittedly it was Christmas Eve but it was not busy at all.

What has happened to TGI’s! Ordered the full rack of ultimate ribs. What a joke they were! It was a half rack at best, not particularly warm, slaw looked a week old and all for the handsome price of £30! Took far too long to be sat down, order drinks, order food and for the food to arrive in a restaurant that was a quarter full! I used to love going to TGI’s for a rack of ribs but sadly this will be the last time we go. Staff were very friendly but just not enough of them to cope.

My friend threw up later in the evening several times after having their burger!! She did not enjoy her burger but we didn't think she could be sick from it. I couldn't eat mine, it was not nice. Just couldn't believe how bad the burger was... It's worth close to £20 according to TGI. The meat was dry so I couldn't enjoy it and so I left it. Their vanilla milkshake is milk shaken. Done. Quite expensive too considering that there's no flavour of vanilla whatsoever. I will never go back! Just not worth the money at all!! Just wanted to change from Italian restaurants... But Jesus!! TGI is expensive, NOT great food and not worth the money!! £90 for 3 people, no alcohol, saver menus, Inc one child.

Well that may have been the worst experience of our lives! There was one guy who was doing the cooking and he was absolutely lovely, had a laugh and a joke with me and my other half and complimented my boyfriends tshirt, but the other guy who served us was very blunt, monotone and made fun of my boyfriends accent when he left! No offence to the lovely chef but what I wanted wasn’t available (second time this has happened) so I didn’t eat what I substituted it with as it was way to spicy, and made me feel a bit ill. I’m not one to complain but for £69 the evening was a joke. Won’t be back again sadly, two very sad customer’s

I actually feel so unwell after that meal.. everything was cold! Cocktails were 2 for 1 but one cocktail was £18?! Everything was just rank to be honest, my cheese in my quesadilla was like glue. The corn on the cob could have been mistaken for my dogs chew toy. Could have gone to the ivy asia and still wouldn’t have been as expensive. Our server was nice though! How is a starter of 3 chicken wings and 2 bits of celery & a janky dip £11?? Update: since been sick.

Absolute shambles, if I could rate them 0 stars, I would. We walked in and were greeted by a very rude and unfriendly lady. Seated on a sticky dirty table. Menus thrown down on table and no friendly introduction by wait staff. After 15 minutes of waiting, we flagged down bar staff and asked to order some drinks for the table. She then flagged down waiting staff to come get our order. The waiter thumped over to our table as if it was a hard ship to take our order. A couple of soft drinks, 1 milkshake, and a couple of waters, plus our food order, were placed at this point. (We have noticed a significant increase in food prices as a side note) After over 40 minutes of waiting, we were still yet to receive our drinks, and food was still yet to appear. Mind you, the restaurant was at barely 25% capacity. At this time the younger children in the group started to become unsettled, so we asked the bar staff would it be much longer, she just shrugged. We made the decision to leave and go to five guys next door. When making the staff aware that we were leaving, they just replied with "yeah, okay then". No apology or even a bare with us, your drinks and food won't be long comment. In my mind, customer attending that day was seen as an inconvenience to staff. Used tables were piled high with dirty plates that had remained there the whole time, customers coming in were left just standing at the door unattended to, yet the staff were all just stood around chatting. I could forgive the lack lust service if I could see they were understaffed or rushed off their feet, but it was quite the complete opposite.

If you go here make sure you have a mortgage as it was quite expensive for 2 meals and 2 drinks costing £43

Service was fine, staff were nice and straight to the point which I prefer mostly. However, my gripe is with the portion sizes and cost. The plant based fries were tiny and all the portion sizes were extremely small for the sheer cost of them. Food was nice by all means, but for a burger and salad and no other sides for £18? That's a bit steep. Music was a tad too loud, but a good mix. Atmosphere overall was stale. Overall would not visit again. Service was fine, but the prices are far too high and portion sizes are far too small. Might be good for a family with young kids,

Too muck ice in drink I couldn’t drink it and food was cold never come back

Price of food for size and quality of food is quite poor. It seems they are short staffed so service was quite poor too. I came here 2 years ago and it's still the same unfortunately. Pina Colada £18, you don't even get a cocktail umbrella for that price!!
