Shish Kitchen in Brighton and Hove

Just round the corner to my Hotel, (The Queens), nothing to look at from outside but really nice authentic Turkish food.

We are from Brazil and we love the food. Ali and Esmeray are very friendly! A great place with great people and great food! I recommend 10000% !!! Thank you!

Mi pareja y yo estábamos tomando una copa poco y pasear Brighton. No pensábamos comer, pero vinieron aquí porque nos estaban frías y parecía agradable. Mi compañero es muy exigente y rara vez le gusta su comida, pero no era una mala cosa que puedo decir de este lugar e incluso él comió todo. El personal era servicial y amable, y la comida era precioso. Excelente relación calidad-precio.

Had a meal here yesterday brilliantl!!! The food was lovely and the service was second to none would definitely recommend it and if we return to Brighton will go again.

Came here for a family dinner and everyone loved it! The food was superb, the staff were lovely and it's a nice bright venue. Will definitely return soon.

Food was quick and delicious. Very welcoming and would love to get the recipe for my prawn dish. Great value for money as well.

Pedimos unos platos en el fin de semana para llevar y estaban deseando una comida encantadora, ya que realmente les gusta la comida turca. Hemos tenido muy buenas experiencias con otros restaurantes turcos en Brighton y Hove. Una vez que llegamos, nos dimos cuenta de que las raciones eran muy pequeñas y los platos parecía bañado en aceite. La carne estaba dura y no comestible y el estofado que pedimos estaba demasiado aceitosa y no tuvimos ningún hortalizas, e. g. Las berenjenas. El meze caliente todo sabía a bordo tarjeta frito y bañado en aceite. Tuvimos que tirarlo y terminó sin cenar. Esta comida era muy caro en comparación con otros restaurantes turcos en esta zona. Gracias por eso!

Great value. We have come several times and had the sharing platter for 2. Meat is always succulent and tasty and the mezes are good too. Authentic taste of Turkey! Service is good but could be a little more attentive

Amazing atmosphere, excellent service, friendly staff, immaculate place, lovely food. You get everything in very high standarts. Ali and Esmeray provide brilliance. You gotta try and see. You will be regular for sure.

Die kalte Vorspeisenplatte ist sehr zu empfehlen, das dazu gereichte warme Brot einfach köstlich. Die Kebab-Teller sind sehr lecker. Der Service ist Klasse! Wirklich ein Familienbetrieb mit Herz und Seele. Empfehle jedem, der Brighton besucht.

If you like turkish food and real shish kebap from coal grill you have to go to shish kitchen. Love this kitchen great food, great people and great place

By far, Shish Kitchen serves the best of Turkish cuisine in town. Delicious food and very good service.

Family run, authentic food, obviously use a very good wholesaler because the meats and poultry are always fresh tender and tasty. Nice selection of good wines. Excellent friendly service. Best Turkish I have eaten. Highly recommend. Yum!

I came here for the first time recommended by my sister and it was by a mile the best Turish meal i ever had ,i took my husband to try something new and again quality food.

I was shish kitchen with my girlfriend we had lovely dinner especially lamb ribs so delicious also friendly staff :))

By chance we were very fortunate to stumble on this quaint and traditional family run Turkish restaraunt.

I have been there few times. Generally l eat kebap last time l tried sea bass it was perfectly delicious. It is very clean and good atmosphere,friendly staff. Food portion is very generous and very tasty. It is my favorite restaurant as a coal grill

Came here by accident after walking out of the Tapas restaurant next door, excellent service, good food, fast service....authentic Turkish food - would re-visit. Freshly grilled clean food - and really nice, pleasant customer service!

Excellent location, great food and lovely staff and owner. Family owned and run. The restaurant is clean and well decorated and the service was friendly and efficient.

Yesterday evening my wife and I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant. We had attempted to eat at another chain restaurant without success and were pressed for time. We passed Shish and went in. The lady who greeted us was charming and friendly and took on board that we had concert tickets and were therefore in a hurry. I can honestly say that I have not eaten better Turkish food in as long as I can remember. We do not eat gluten so rejected the initial offering, no problem it was replaced with a selection of salad items which I am still drooling over. We then had the set meal for two, the meats were tender and delicious. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, we will be returning when next in Brighton.

This restaurant has a wonderful ambience to it and appears to be able to cater for large groups. The staff are also incredibly friendly at the same time as not hovering over your table. My friend and I ordered the meat platter for 2 and it was cooked to perfection. We will definitely eat here again.

Went there with some friend of mine and was blown away by the quality of food. This was complimented by the friendly staff who were more than courteous when dealing with our lack of knowledge on Turkish and Mediterranean food. Would recommend to all!

Went there Wednesday night for last meal before traveling home Thursday.. had houmas meze starter which was very fresh and delish. Hubby had prawns in a sauce -forgot name] but said it was tasty. For mains I had chicking skewers and asked for some chilli with them which was just right. Hubby had Kleftko which was full of flavour how it should be.. To full up for desert. Glass wine and a beer to wash it down with. It is a family run business that haven't been there long but Esmeray was Very friendly. Her husband doing the cooking. Very well done wish you the best

Shish kitchen is our local restaurant as it's pretty near where we live. The food is great, it's clean and the staff are friendly. Everything you need in a restaurant. Not much else to say, we keep going back.

Lovely meal, great price, tasty food. Had the platter for two and my two year old enjoyed it as well.

Delicious food and excellent service. We had a great time. it is located in central Brighton very close to see and great for value too. Highly recommended.

After walking round looking for somewhere to eat an early dinner we saw Shish. It was empty but it was only around 4 o'clock so this was understandable. We decided to take a punt and try it and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Meze for two and were given 6 plates of various starters/dips & pittas which were delicious. We then got a platter of meats, vegetable and rice which included lamb, chicken and various kebabs. Can not complain about any of the food it was all so delicious and we were stuffed at the end. The waiter was very nice and all in all we had a great dinner - would recommend to anyone in Brighton.

We ordered 2 vegetarian kebabs and we got some free nibbles whilst we waited. The food was really good and all felt really healthy and good quality :)

Tasty food. Ginormous sharing platter with really succulent meat. Overall good value for money in central Brighton which is quite a rare thing

We went to this place last night and had a fantastic meal. I haven't written a review in a while, but they are so new they deserve to get some early recognition.
