Authentic Kerela food in London is here.. we have tried multiple places in and around London, but Oottupura Restaurant is the best out there. Their quality of food , service and ambience is homely. Sunny, Teacher and their small team are dedicated towards bringing some the popular Kerela delicacies in the most original forms to remind you of home. The produce is carefully chosen and the food is freshly prepared which elevates the preparation. So people please have patience once you order or reserve before you go to get the best experience. I recommend going in with Freinds so that you can try most of their dishes. Skip a meal or two if you a foodiee😜 If you love Kerela food, Oottupura is your “place where the food is made with the soul”.

We tried this Indian restaurant as a family, and wanted authentic southern food, and it was highly recommended by friends. The menu was very complete, with a lot on offer. Very good size portions, enough for our family of four to share each dish. Very good flavours and taste, colourful, and we loved the authentic Indian spices. Just delicious ! The staff were extremely knowledgeable about their food, and explained each dish very well. We were also impressed at their attentiveness to severe nut allergies. Everything was checked. Simple decor, and clean restaurant. About mid range on pricing. If you haven’t tried it, it is truly worth it…and we will definitely be going back. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Wonderful experience here. The most beautiful food, tender meats and flavoursome curries. The service was excellent too - extremely friendly and helpful, very good with allergies.

We loved the food and experience. The waiting period for food was a bit high (we were late and it was almost closing time) but the food and service made us happy and satisfied. Complimentary cake on Mother's Day was like Cherry on top!

Accidentally went to this restaurant on the way to Epsom. Meen polichathu and beef roast is a must try, in fact we order one more indulged in the taste. Service from gods own country’s kerala girl was awesome. Really enjoyed the food. Will definitely come back.

The food was so good. It's such a shame we were the only 2 people in. I had the King Fish curry one of the best. We also had the poppadom, and their homemade lemon chutney is really tasty..

Excellent evening with a friend in Friday. This is a relaxed place, very good quality food and excellent service. We had chilli prawns and Gobi 65 followed by masala dosa each. The masala dosa could have done with more potatoe filling.

Saw the restaurant randomly when searching for a south indian/kerala cuisine. Bought Malabar Lamb& Chicken biriyani, absolutely disappointed - not at all Malabar, can't even call it as a biriyani! Very disappointed!

Lollipop chicken starter was truly stunning, however, my chilli chicken main was the same dish with the exception of the chicken was off the bone! Surely the staff should have made me aware of this when I placed my order and considering this is my first visit here.

We where on our way to Heathrow airport and stopped off by this restaurant on Xmas day. We had their 5 course Xmas dinner. It was super fresh, tasty and the service was brilliant. I haven’t been in a restaurant where everything was 10/10 in a long time. Paid £80 for 2 of us with a 5 course meal, 2 cokes and a bottle of water. Absolutely delicious and well priced. Will defo visit here again. By far the best Indian food I’ve had in London!

Fantastic tasty multi layered meal, clearly and proudly prepared from scratch. The best Indian experience I’ve ever had. Highly recommend the Dosa as a starter and Kerala Parotta as a side with your main. Visit here with friends for the food and fairly priced Kingfisher beer!

Been here twice now. The lamb masala dosa is brilliant. Prices are very modest and food really does taste homecooked which is a huge compliment. Keep up the great work and see you soon 😊

Very limited options of dishes especially for vegetarians. Nice ambience and service though.

It was our first time and I am definitely coming back. The service was really exceptional. Warmly welcomed, helped out with choosing the right dish, food was really authentic and good portions. We visited as it was a place that my father used to frequent over 40 years ago. Although, of course it has changed management, this South Indian restaurant did not disappoint! The food was amazing! We were served by a friendly waitress who had time for us. We will definitely return

Very friendly staff, dishes were very delicious especially their beef pepper fry and other curries. Clean restrooms. Just a down point was their size of kappa , not enough for a person. Apart from that, it was a wonderful experience.

I ordered to takeaway and the food was lovely. I’m planning to go back and eat in next time and I like the restaurant atmosphere. The staff were very friendly.

This place is a hidden gem! I can't believe I've only just discovered this restaurant. The food was sublime, really tasty and fresh, but not overwhelming at all. It even had some ingredients you don't normally find in the UK. We had a Dosa, Malabar Prawn Curry and Paneer Tikka. All perfectly cooked and prepared. The service was also wonderful and very well priced. I would highly recommend!

We have been looking for an authentic Kerala / South Indian Restaurant since one of our favourites closed down 10 years ago. We finally found a worthy replacement in Oottupura! The dosa was amazingly crisp and the sambhar and chutneys had unique flavour. The roast was out of this world and the biryani was light with a great aroma. There are not many authentic Indian restaurants in London but this is a gem. We will be back soon!

First time here so like to see if it’s always so good. I tried Fish Malabar Roast, a dry fragrant spicy dish. The fish was so fresh and delicious and the chapatis very delicate. Good portion size. Can’t wait to try some of the vegetable options on the menu. The tea was amazing too. The waiter was perfectly friendly and attentive.

Food was tasty and they were very accommodating, however the Mango Lassi tasted very sour and was not a pleasant drink. In addition service was a bit slow, but not too slow which was understandable as a large party came halfway through our dinner. But it took a long time for bill to come.

Another splendid weekend of serving people with the most delicious, authentic food in Surrey. Lovingly made from scratch by the owners and the cooks at Ottupura. We have been visiting this little gem since 2018, and they have maintained their high standards ever since. Highly recommend, whether it be their sadhya which is only twice a year or their regular menu.. our fav is the fish curry and fish fry

Best Kingfish curry and king fish fry . Their Kerala parottas are very crispy and flaky ,better then any restaurants I have tried in central London. This is a go to place for fish as its very tasty and fresh .

Excellent service and absolutely fantastic food! This is the only Indian we've found locally that serves dosa's and they are amazing. several dishes i hadn't tried before and they were all superb. So glad to have found a new favourite Indian.

Party of 4.We were the only ones in there.Waitres was vert peasant and helpful but very slow to get food Good job it wasn't busy.Had chicken biriani not a lot of it but plenty of rice.

I finally found a place that makes properly good parotta! Crispy, flaky, soft perfection that, when paired with Chettinad Chicken, melts in the mouth! I’ve been chasing my parotta craving for almost a year now – and even a string of restaurants in India had failed to scratch that itch. I’m very glad that I’ve found this place! Apart from the Kerala Parotta and Chicken Chettinad, we had Malabar Biriyani, Beef cutlet, Mango lassi, lemon juice, and Pazhampori Beef. They were all pretty good, but the parotta was the absolute standout for me and what would keep me coming back for more.

We went to this restaurant a few days ago. They serve traditional Kerala style food—100% authentic, unlike other restaurants where authenticity is not justified. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed the warm welcome and service provided. The staff were very polite and friendly; overall we had a very good time and food. Highly recommended.

I waited for 45 minutes just to order, and finally had to move out in disgrace. Can not expect such poor management. Service is too slow even when only two other tables were occupied.

We had an amazing and a delicious dinner which made us quite nostalgic about our homeland! Must try Chicken chettinad, Beef ularthiyathu with some parrotta and not to forget our very own Ada pradaman. The ambience was great and we met a lovely UK elderly couple who loves their food. But be cautious, it will take loads of time for your food to arrive however, be sure it will be piping hot. Apart from that, we also felt some dishes were a bit overpriced. So altogether, a good place to have your tummy full and get nostalgic!

Great authentic Sri Lankan food, served with a smile. The Chicken 65, a 65-year old recipe is a winner. The vadai and the dosai are must haves! The masala chai gave me the boost I needed that day. It made the Birthday lunch for my dear gal pal special, thank you!

Went to ootupura for the first time last weekend. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were told to expect delays as they only prepare dishes on order. This was really helpful as we knew we will have to wait a bit to get the food. Coming to the food, we had biriyani and it was average. I’ve had better ones for the same price range elsewhere. The portion size of adapradhaman was really small and was very disappointed. Even though the quantity was small it was very delicious. Overall a decent restaurant with friendly staff.

Visited just over a week ago with a large group. Attentive and polite staff and service. Tasty South Indian food and nice ambience. I highly recommend Oottupura for fans of decent South Indian food. Ordered Chicken 65 and Cauliflower 65 for starters, bith excellent. The dosas and masala dosas were crisp and delicious. The sambar, idli and vada were also fantastic. Mango lassi was thick and creamy.

Great south India cuisine. We tasted Chicken lollipop Dahi Vada Beef Ullarthiyathu Salmon Kodampully curry All of them were excellent. The order did take time to come but for a good reason of fresh and tastiness. Will be returning for sure again when I visit Epsom.

Authentic Kerala cusine. Parotta was spectacular, so flakey and so many layers…it was a dream…, so was the rest of the dishes. We had Kappa and beef and it was so on point. Meen pollichathu is superb!! Chicken Korma was the best accompaniment for the Parotta. I’ll be honest, Thalassery Biriyani wasn’t great. I was expecting the tiny rice grains (Kaima rice) as you would in this type of biriyani but I was disappointed to see Basmati. Regardless, I’m not reducing a star because the staff were friendly and service was excellent! The restaurant is clean and hygienic too, and a lot of Kerala restaurants I’ve been to in London aren’t. So I’m pleasantly surprised to have found this place !

One of the very few restaurants serving authentic Kerala food in London. Was really impressed by the taste and presentation. The lady serving was really pleasant as well. Will definitely be returning.

The chechi who served the food was really lovely and the only concern i have was with the portion size.. Still i would say awesome.

The food was delicious. Lots of vegetarian options and a really good atmosphere. I lived the different specialties served and how unique it was. The Gulab Jamun was AMAZING!

We visited this restaurant on Sunday evening and pleasantly surprised with very authentic south Indian (kerala) food. The specials were delicious and really special (which is rare nowadays!). The lamb and chicken were just perfect and so does kerala parotta. Service was good and we were happy that we found this nice place.!

Delicious is an understatement! Amazing alleppy fish curry with an incredible sauce. Fantastic lamb curry too. Paratha’s were so delicious that we ordered more during the meal. The lady serving was so sweet and kind. We will definitely be coming back 👍
