Popped in with my daughter and granddaughter for lunch. Staff were willing to mix and match a couple of items on the menu to create a little meal for my granddaughter which was appreciated. Food was tasty and served quickly. Couldn’t find a baby changing facility. Possibly could have been one in the disabled toilet but that was locked up. Had to change baby in cubicle which wasn’t ideal. Still happy with our visit and will return.

Arrowsmiths at O’Neils Peterbourough is a very lovely place to visit. Had a wonderful time playing darts in Arrowsmiths. Manager James was amazing, catered to our every needs. Drinks arrived promptly. No stingey measures Place was immaculately clean. A few lights out on the beer pumps that need looking at… Otherwise perfect visit thank you

I have worked in customer service for 20 years. However, it is the employee Bayley who makes us return to this establishment. She is very attentive, polite and always served us perfectly, excellent customer service, even with the music. Thank you very much Bayley, congratulations on your service.

If only I could give zero stars, I would have done it by now. My family and I decided to have a gathering at O'Neill's on a Saturday night, a reunion after months apart, and it was completely ruined by a bald bouncer. First, he made my husband go home to change because he was wearing joggers. My husband complied and returned wearing jeans, and they let him in. Less than an hour later, we stepped outside for a smoke. When we tried to go back in, they allowed everyone except my husband, claiming he was "too drunk and rude," despite him having only had one beer that night. My mother and aunt tried to reason with the bouncer, but he kept insisting my husband was drunk and rude, while letting in other customers who were making obscene gestures without issue. This was supposed to be a special night for us, and O'Neill's completely ruined it. I am never coming back. Thank you for ruining our family gathering.

usually when venturing out into Peterborough (which is never) love oneils , unfortunately this time I experienced somewhat of a very traumatising experiencing , like my daughter below has stated we were out for my birthday which resulted in being man handled by bouncers. An altercation had taken place outside of the cubicle we were in but had nothing to do with us. Unfortunately we were forced out of the cubicle while I had an issue with my zip on my shorts (damn thing was stuck) I left with a very hysterical daughter who just wanted to keep her mum safe . Accused of throwing glasses out of the cubicle , however I just think this was an excuse on upon them realising we were not doing anything wrong. I since complained to management and unfortunately he had already made his decision from the emails and decided that we are at fault (only god knows why he thinks this because I remember it all ) , please keep your young adults safe. I wouldn’t suggest anyone young person enters this facility. Even when trying to contact management they’ve dismissed us and that’s not positive for the younger generation. The whole experience was traumatising. Thank you to the next bar and the bouncers who saw our distress and took us in to help us calm down and fix my zip! This was a defamation of character and anyone that knows me and my daughter would agree. Dangerous place!

I had a terrible experience coming into this bar with my mum and some others for her 41st birthday. We decided to come in to have a few drinks after a meal elsewhere, during this visit me and my mum went to the toilet where my mum called me into the stall as her zip got stuck on her shorts and she couldn’t get it up. After trying for some time to get the zip up, we decided she’d be better off taking off the shorts to fix the zip. Just as my mums shorts are round her ankles, 2 bouncers started pounding on the door shouting to open it. I went to open the door just a little to let them know what was happening, to which the bouncer aggressively swung the door open. As my mum was half naked she obviously reacted to this by shutting the door and trying to hold it as she pulled her shorts up. As this happened I was yelling out that her zip was stuck and her shorts were down. They clearly didn’t care about what we were doing, or my mums dignity as they just pushed the door open again, hitting my mum, while shouting at us to get out. I asked the bouncer what was wrong and he accused us of throwing a glass out of the cubicle (which was apparently witnessed by said bouncer)- this had not happened. Not even getting a chance to explain that they were wrong and I was just helping my mum with her zip, I was then grabbed by my arm and pulled out of the cubical and then pushed all the way out of the building. While it is understandable that the bouncers would have to kick out people throwing glasses, we didn’t throw anything. The whole situation was honestly quite traumatising and my poor mum left her phone in the cubicle as she was so startled. After being pushed into the street holding her shorts up, another bouncer then made her use her other hand that wasn’t holding up her shorts, to put her password into her phone that she had left behind despite it being obviously her phone. I am truly saddened by this experience because I have previously enjoyed O’Neills but I can’t say I will be going back. The blatant lies and disrespect from the bouncers is truly astounding. They did not care that my mums shorts were falling down and did not care that I was crying and trying to plead that we had done nothing wrong. No woman should EVER be manhandled, shouted at, and disrespected the way me and my mum were. Shoving us through the back door meant that the rest of our party had no idea what was happening. Disgusted by the situation and the lack of adult communication from the bouncers.

Gave us gone off beer and refused to change it- I went toilet and it smelt nicer than the beer. Booked a table to watch football and put us out the view of any tv. No sound on tv for football as well.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, we completed the NHS track n' trace, to be told we had to complete their own one too, which I do not see why this is required if the NHS system is being used, I suspect it's to harvest data to sell.Our first impression was we were suprised at how loud it was, but were willing to write this off as our mistake, "Irish" bars are known for being a bit loud and lively, and we hadn't done our research properly. However we were then told about the O'neills app for order, however as we had an M&B dining out card there was no way to pay with this via the app, so we told the bar staff we needed to order through them. After waiting about 10 minutes for someone to come to our table to take an order (as the government require all restaurants to provide table service currently) I ended up having to go to the bar to get a staff members attention, I would not say the place was busy, maybe 20 people in the building.We then ordered drinks and when they delivered our drinks ordered starters, the credit I will give it is our starters were very nice, the food was delicious, however a few minutes after we started to eat our starters (considering this was meant to be my partners birthday meal just the 2 of us) they put the football on at a deafening volume, completely ruining any chance of a conversation between anybody not wishing to follow the football.When we completed starters, we started looking around attempting to gain a barmaids attention, I moved the starters plates aside piled up as a sign we had finished, I even shouted to try to get their attention when they delivered drinks to a nearby table, I do not know if they were just ignoring me, the football was so loud they couldn't hear me or they just weren't interested as we weren't ordering through the app, but after 20 minutes of waiting for someone to take our order, both me and my partner getting fustrated we went to the bar, paid our bill and left. At no point did the barstaff ask how our food was, or wonder why we were leaving having only had starters and no mains.Overall extremely disappointed with the service, I feel like they couldn't be bothered with us since we weren't ordering via the app, the website homepage certainly could've done more to make patrons aware of loud nature of the venue. Most of all however we were disappointed the poor service kept us from having mains, the starters were delicious, and we were both really looking forward to the food.

Popped in on Saturday for drinks and food as a group. Covid measures made us feel very comfortable even though there weren’t many tables left. Food and drink delivered promptly as ordered through the app. No problems with anything and will be visiting again soon.

Wanted to watch football- at half time they asked us to watch football on another TV. We had no problem with this but there was no place for to sit- no help to set up a table( we wanted to order to eat at halftime). No help so unfriendly

We came here a few weeks ago to say goodbye to our boss. Lots of pints drank too and nice friendly staff. Big shout out to the door staff and manager who searched me in the toilet as they thought I was a drug dealer. I was wearing a similar outfit to someone they suspected. They did search me and found smints in my pocket. Better safe than sorry lads. Very professional throughout and the manager was decent enough to buy me a pint afterwards. Top man. We will be back next time someone leaves work. However I’ll wear a different outfit :)

Without doubt the refurbishment has improved the general pub area. However the refurbishment of the toilets is not good. New basins are all well and good, but ...the toilets here have always been a disgrace and still are even after the refurbishment. They stink. The holes under the lino are still there, it is only a matter of time before someone's foot goes through and an ankle is broken

Came in for lunch when we were pressed for time, Kayla and Phil offered great service, the food came quick, hot, tasty and great portion size.

Had the rump steak and it was perfectly cooked and tasted really good. Very good price. Enjoyed the aide of range slaw. Will definitely have it again when in Peterborough. Service was prompt.

This place just recently refurbished. I had been here before the refurbishment and had a sizzling breakfast. Good breakfast really. However, my recent visit was somewhat disappointing. I had the medium breakfast. When it arrived the plate was cold, bacon undercooked and eggs cold. It doesn't help when I have experience as a breakfast chef in a well-known London Hotel. It does not take much care to get a breakfast right! First thing is to make sure the plate it is being served on is warm at least! Well refurbishment or not, it wasn't good enough!!

Went with a group of friends, food was quick to be served. Was nice food for the price. Good selection of drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic

O'Neill's Peterborough has recently been refurbished and witg new menus. My visit was to see if any improvements had been made with breakfast. Ok so ordered a full Irish medium sized breakfast. So when it arrived everything was nicely presented. The only downside is the plate it was served on was cold. The breakfast itself could have been hotter. Apart from that everything was fine. A big improvement needs to be made im getting that breakfast out much hotter. One thing I will say about the staff they are very welcoming and polite.

Lovely busy pub. TV WAS on a little too loud for me. Staff could not hear what you were ordering...had a fiver lunch option. Came out quickly and was lovely ...highly recommend

The new menu is really good and the pizzas are so tasty. The pub looks great after it’s refurb and I would definitely recommend it for food and sport. We had pizza and the ribs and wings. The portion sizes are very generous and perfect for sharing.

One of my favourite places in Peterborough for a drink with my partner and even better to see that it’s all be refurbed. I loved it before but I love it even better now. It’s a cosy place for a quiet drink, I absolutely love the staff and the food! Great place!

What a great breakfast or lunch home style cooking fast and friendly staff. Enjoy a drink with your amazing meal. Pity you only have room for one meal a day. Menu is due to change soon well worth a visit.

Better than most pubs in Peterborough, and lunch time is much better than evenings. If you want a good pub lunch then go here, if you want a rowdy evening then go here.

My friend and I visited this place as we know the O’Neill’s brand. We were ignored at the bar as the lady serving was more interested in loudly gossiping than serving new customers so we left.. then after a walk about we decided to give it another go, we were acknowledged by a different member of staff straight away. I ordered a gin and tonic, the bar staff poured a full bottle of slimline tonic in the gin. Firstly I should be able to choose how much tonic I like with my gin and secondly I hate slimline tonic. I took it to save the wastage. When we ordered food the service was very slow. The toilets are disgusting the floor has completely sunk in one cubicle , I struggled to find one that was clean and then it didn’t lock, the car area was dirty with lots of rubbish on the floor - very disappointing from a brand point of view.

Great beer, great music, great company, pictures are screwed on the wall a bit to tight though! To sum up - great night!

After a huge disappointment at the Gordon arms we decided to have our night out hear. I've been hear so many times always having great customer service from James and Gary. So glad we went the bar staff were immediately warm and welcoming, our group had a wonderful time, food also great as usual. Thank you to the staff there, I shall continue to visit.

Came early monday morning pub was empty as they just opened. The server was very polite and chatty. We had two classic breakfast it came to the table within 10 minutes and it was cooked more than to a perfection! Crispy bacon and hashbrowns! We was used to go weather spoons for breakfast normally but decided to try a change and it was definitely worth it!! Food is way tastier and better cooked and the prices are only a couple pence higher. Very friendly staff two guys that was working at the time smiled and asked if we needed anything extra. They also have a great selection of soft drinks *alcoholic too but we have not tried them. Me and my partner will definitely be coming back for at least breakfast again hopefully we find time to visit this venue again one nice evening to try their main menu seems very nice to!

Visited during our Christmas shopping trip and decided to visit again after enjoying last year ..they didn’t disappoint a great friendly pub with tasty fresh food at a great price ..staff were very approachable would recommend any time

Just had a great meal in O'neills. I had the mega mixed grill, it was delicious and cooked perfectly - loads of food (taking a sausage and some chicken home for the dog) and the price was very reasonable. My daughter had the crispy garlic chicken which she really enjoyed. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever and will be our go to place for a cheeky weekday meal out from now on

Food was really nice. Even though they took my daughters order they didn't have her choice, but let us have a more expensive choice at no extra cost. Will definitely go there again. The only downside was the volume of the TVs that were showing football, but we did manage to find a quiet(er) corner!

I ordered a sweet chilli chicken wrap with chips, without the sweet chilli sauce and that was no trouble for them. The bar Staff (a tall Scottish guy and a dark haired girl with a European accent) were very friendly and efficient and the food was delicious and arrived very fast! Perfect experience!

Can I just say I came into oneills today after splitting from my husband. Hell bent on drinking my weight in tequila. When I got there the two members of staff you had on knew I wasn't right straight away and know what they did? Spent half hour talking to me to settle my nerves. I wanted to leave forgetting my own name but instead have left the strong woman I am. Sober and now with a party booking for December for my nail salon buddies. Not just bar staff. Best therapists I've had and so nice they cared enough to help me out. Great work guys and you know who you are xx

Me and the other half come here regular when we are in town. Today I popped in on my own and had food for the first time! Was lovely. Fresh and filling. I was abit put out by the price where you can get the same meal over at the weatherspoons for £3 cheaper and a drink is included. Though I have to say it tasted alot better!! The staff are always friendly and happy to help. Also a great place to watch live sport!! Keep up the good work guys!

Ding dong the witch is dead!!! Now that the little hobgoblin Kirsty has been sacked I am pleased to write that O'Neils is once again an enjoyable experience. Thank you for finally getting shut! Good beers and good food, friendly staff and all football! I shall be spending many a Saturday in here from now on and i recommend it to everyone.

We just stopped in for a quick lunch and were surprised how quick it was . excellent staff very good value food . 2nd time we have been to O'Neils in peterborough . really enjoyed it fantasic value.

I came here as I was working in the area to watch the football I came in and two matches were on I asked what game was best to watch if I was a Tottenham fan and the young girl behind the bar told me she was a arsenal fan so was best to watch them beat psg(even though this didn't happen) overall I enjoyed my night with the company of Amy and Gary even though it was a busy night and arsenal only drew they both smiled the whole way through. I will be back again!!

Hi, came in with my husband and kids, and I have one massive complaint! WHY ISNT THE ONEILLS NEAR ME THE SAME. this place is lovely. The place was lovely and cool, clean and my husband got to watch football whilst I helped the kids colour in. The staff brought us high chairs over instead of letting us muddle around ourselves. Food was quick and filling, stayed for a few drinks before heading to the shops. Overall lovely day in this place and will visit next time we are in town. Caught the names of the staff because I knew I was going to write this so massive well done to Gary and Jasmine. The chef was a man and we visited about 3.30 but never got his name but the meals were great. Keep up the good work oneels!!

I have been going into this O'Neills for 5 years or more on a regular basis and have always found the atmosphere good, the staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is excellent value and the drinks are well priced. If you are looking for a 5 star experience then obviously not the place for you. But I wouldn't want to go anywhere else for my Tuesday lunch outing.

Staff were rude to me and the gents toilets smelt really bad and generally didn't seem very hygienic. Otherwise unremarkable, there are far better places to go in Peterborough city centre than this.

eaten here 2 or 3 times now, always good, and thats over a long time, 3 meals in say 5 years, but always good, so top marks

If you're looking for GAA action this summer and the game you're looking for is on any channel other than sky then this is not the pub for you.Staff expect you to know which channel the matches are on (unlike other O'Neill's in the UK which prioritise showing Irelands national sport).Then the main projector is about as useful as a chocolate teapot and is usually "broken" as is often the case with their sky box too.You're then relegated to watching the game on the small screens near the toilets so you don't bother the local winos who drink there...but hey if there's more than 5 people watching the game they might switch on the other small projector.Be prepared to beg for sound as apparently match commentary also upsets the locals.Kirsty the manager is essentially an uptight power hungry wench who makes ordering a drink a bloody hassle.All in all avoid like the plague.

No right to call this an Irish pub, typical chain with no ceol agus craic. Gaa a strange and foreign concept.

Bar staff are extremely friendly and always smiling , food was awesome and nicely priced, could not fault my day visit here for my favourite ice cold Peroni

the menu keeps changing and over the years - it has good changes and bad ones. the menu is long and very complicated and needs to be set out better. some prices are good and some are not so good - the desserts are good and look for special offers at different times

Chain pub that lacks character, could be a wetherspoons or one of the other ones, they are all the same

close to the centre of town, this is an excellent place for a lunchtime pint. The food menu has recently been updated and offers a great choice - the burgers are particularly good! Great bar staff who are friendly and helpful. I'm becoming a regular!

This place is probably only worth visiting if all the others are closed, which is never in reality. The staff are pretty rude and to be honest they're plonkers incapable of following simple instructions such as which lager you have ordered. The college arms literally the opposite side of the road is 100x better.

Point to coming to this bar was live football and food.Ordered their classic burger, order taken swiftly by friendly bar staff (considering relatively empty bar). Food didn't take long and well presented. and bonus of Ballymaloe relish on the table. Burger was excellent.Normal pub food but makes all the difference with good, friendly bar staff.

We took our 4 children here for dinner and breakfast, and on both times the food was excellent. There is a good selection of dishes to choose from.The children's meals were enjoyed by our little people.Would reccommend to anyone with children, was not too busy when we ate at 7pm.All staff very friendly and felt very welcome there.

Visited the pub a few times and, while, the manager or head barstaff woman, is well moody and quite rude, (and she has a tattooed sidekick so watchout!) most of the barstaff are very polite, attentive and friendly, and one seriously hot olive skinned one too!

Bright lights, lots of young people the worse for ware and very poor beer.Perhaps it's just me, but this is really a pub for very young people. By the time I visited at around 9pm, most people were falling off their chairs, dropping bottles and getting lary.The beer, Smethwicks was cold, without taste and without any life that I could discern.Staff were friendly though.

Visited on a Wednesday evening as it's quite a common brand oneills and we wanted to eat some food after our business meetings. Entered pub and there was no one else in their whatsoever. No problem ordered two drinks and sat by the front window to look at food menu. My colleague went back to the bar to order more drinks and food. He waited for 5 minutes and watched the manager chat to her friends. He asked nicely if he could get some service. She slammed her mug down and walked over and served him the drinks. He was in shock !!! We were not causing any hassle we just went in for some food and drink that's all we wanted. We were spending good money in there and sitting out the way by the window. The lady then came over and opened the double doors so it was freezing. Obviously done on purpose because we had caused her an interruption on chatting to her friends. We took our drinks and went and sat at the other side of the pub in the warmth. We decided not to eat but said lets have one more drink as the drinks were well priced and nice. Also another member of staff had arrived so we hoped to get served by her instead. My friend went to to the bar and asked for two drinks nicely. The lady unfortunately served him again and went on to tell him about the stories of her having to stand up to men in the bar and almost had her head kicked in but it doesn't bother her as no one scares her as you should see her mother in law ?????????My friend was in bewilderment to say the least. We left and have since chatted about this experience quite a bit so i told him I would write a review. I am sure the head office of this company and the owners would be so pleased to hear about this service style and the upsell of this venue. Totally disgusting. Lady in question is the manager !!!

Okay, O'Neill's is standard high street fare, but it is quite simply the most depressing dive bar in the whole of Peterborough.Service - NilDrinks - Carlin' and GuinnessFood - No wayIf cheap drinks are your bag, The Drapers is a safer bet.

I would of given this venue a 5/5 however I am a firm beliver in nothing is ever perfect. Oniels have fantastic bartenders, as a regular visitor to the venue I often enjoy 'banter' with the bar staff, especially the manageress. Their is one other barman I would like to 'big up' he's the Scottish guy, you'll notice him as soon as you walk in, from the first time I came into oniels he stood out, always bubbly and always creates and enjoyable conversation, generally a nice person.The Service through to the staff is fantastic and about the food..... Around 6 months ago oniels launched a new menu the food is absolutely great, huge variety of choice.However I don't attend for just the food, with two other pubs near bye one opposite and the other just up the path a bit, I would highly recommend oniels.

I went here with my friend we had the chicken burger with garlic bread and onion rings It was the most beautiful Burger i've seen and tasted tasted also the Bar staff were great shout out to James who was happy and efficient and also made sure everything was ok then we had dessert we had a sundae each as it 2 for1 I don't know how we finished them they were huge!! And I'm not over exaggerating either

Had a 'meal' there unfortunately, scampi was perfect, but no tartare and waiting staff wasn't interested in looking. Chips were not their 'usual brand', couldn't mistake the dirty oil smell and taste. Not impressed, paying good money for poor quality of kitchen basics, ie chips. Staff looked very unsupported and no clear direction and or manager apparent. In need of some TLC the whole place, rather tired feel. Shame as the staff would easily be motivated to do a better job, they were polite, chatty and keen to do a job with limited knowledge and training.

Having witness a manageress who is clearly unhappy in her job, inpolitely deals with customers and is generally unwelcoming and enjoys kicking people out the pub who she personally doesn't like... In today's society this is bullying people especially when it is good paying customers keeping quiet and simply having a drink. Infact if the Manageress understood diversity she would soon be up for a discimination case against her. I would not recommend this pub and surprisingly the Wetherspoon's (don't usually drink in these outlets) across the road had nice staff that were very nice, friendly and was busy even thought it is a larger pub.

Well...... we called in there for lunch, my mother and I ordered the haddock fishcakes. My sister a burger and chips. The fishcakes were black and split open. Obviously overcooked. I sent them back and the chef had the nerve to send them back to our table saying that is how they are. What rubbish!!!! Golden brown fishcakes cooked in overheated fat that probably needed to be changed. The manager, to his credit came to our table and offered to get us something else, so we reordered. We never did get the chips we ordered and paid for. My sisters burger was cold and dry, presumably this was prepared with our food and left on the side. By this point she thought she would just eat it as we didn't want to wait longer. We didn't wait for the free deserts the manager offered as, if the first course was anything to go by, we didn't want to experience pudding.

We were served quickly, the food was very good, with a good gap between courses. The staff were polite, helpful and the service was good. I was pleasantly surprised.

After pondering where to eat , we came across this wonderful Irish bar. The oldie world bar was warm with friendliness.The atmosphere made us feel at ease,The food was delicious and well worth the money , and we were spoiled for choice as the menu was packed with lots of tasty treats.The guinness was pure goodness in a glass and bar far the best that we have ever tried.We will be back.

Been there once with some colleagues on a leaving due, I got there earlier than others to have something to eat first. The food was served relatively quick which is very good things, I couldn't find anything wrong with the food but there is nothing special.I dont know if it is the place or the company but I have lots of fun that night and will definitely go there again when I have another chance.

Típico pub irlandés con muy variedad de cervezas y comidas. Sirven tanto los clásicos platos de pub como también ensaladas y postres. Las hamburguesas grandes y muy buenas. Amplio y bastante céntrico.

We popped in here for a quick drink and stayed for the evening. The place just exudes friendliness and our kind of Music and atmosphere. What more can you want - decent food and drink,good service, good value for money and a terrific ambience.

Had a meal in here to make a change from the normal W'Spoons fare.Bit of a wait at the bar to be served but the food was really good and the waiting staff very friendly.The sholder of lamb was great, my wife had the Irish stew and we saw that the ultimate sausage dish had near on a pound of them on top of the champ with plenty of gravy.I would re-visit any O'Niell's again
