Costa Coffee in Peterborough

Table were not cleaned, one of the worker take single trays instead of more of it as they were not full. Table are disgusting to even sit on them. One of the worker are just standing near till area.

Large queue to order and another large queue to collect, staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing, have had far better coffee out of a vending machine at a service station.

Always a pleasure having a coffee here. The drinks are delicious and made with care& attention. Staff are friendly and tend to remember there usual customers even our orders which is so considerate. They are a great team& I love spending my pre going to work mornings here, the best coffee place in Peterborough by a long way.

The people who work there were friendly and helpful

Needs a re-vamp, ceiling bulging with water damage, chairs are dirty, and tables are scratched and damaged. Staff are friendly as always, but pricing has gone up again! It's a lot of money for a coffee at a run-down venue...

With it being a in hospital I would expect both coffee machine on in afternoon. There was a massive queue of people and only 1 person making the drinks. I notice there was at least 5 staff so why ss there only 1 person doing drinks? must waited over 5 minutes to get a drink.

Polite baristas who are friendly and will make a colustomised drink for you without complaint. There's plenty of places to sit and it's well lit One of the tills has been closed for a while now which means that lines are quite long.

Coffee and a small piece of cake, £6.80. Very expensive for what it was.

It's a shame this hospital costa shuts at 3pm at weekends

It's ok when it's not busy. But when it does get busy the tables don't get cleared very often as all the staff are behind the counter.

As always a lovely coffee and cake.

Typical Costa but was very busy during my visit and lots of waiting. Could of been better organised in there as they just handed me my latta without a tray and the cake I bought.

Friendly stuff just expency for me

Found rude staff when I was looking at their merchandise they had for sale. They had customers still seated as well as serving a customer. 'WERE SHUT' I explained I was just having a quick look,I didnt want to buy. Was told 'YOU CAN LOOK BUT YOU CANT BUY' Loud and unprofessional in front of customers. I responded with thank you for being so polite, but there is no need to be rude is there. 'WE WANT TO GO HOME' No customer service, I wont be back.

Not impressed. Staff are disorganized and one was exceptionally rude with me. Backstory: I went in and bought lunch to go....and took the items back to A&E where I was sat waiting for our turn. We ate lunch in the waiting room, when I noticed a sweet bun was missing. I went back after we had finished our visit and found the gate down, but people were inside still. I called the woman over and explained the problem. She was obviously disinterested and offhandedly said they were closed, ....I asked if I could get a refund,...she said till was closed and to come back tomorrow. ? Asked what time it was, and she was quite snappy with me. I repeated I was in A&E and was not about to come back tomorrow....and could I not get a bun? She said no. ?!? Really ?!? I don't like getting told off by someone who works in a hospital. People that work in a hospital are usually chosen for their excellent bedside manner.....that should include the only food provider there-Costa needs to do the same. Costa made the mistake, an apology to start would have been fitting, and anything to replace the £2.60 (of a £21.40). I have given the bill to A&E reception and told her to have a bun on me tomorrow. I expect they honour that. Costa is overpriced, and this location is a disappointment. If you must, check inside your bag before you leave to make sure you got what you paid for.

Opening hours need to be more, in keeping with the hospital hours.

I always almost have a cooler rather than a hot drink, for medicinal purposes of course and as always cannot fault the customer service. Even though we are all going through a rough time at this present moment, the staff as ever very pleasant.

It's ok but all drinks in takeaway cups not as relaxed and chilled like other Costas and seems quite dark in there

A nice large space to sit and sip if you're waiting on someone while they have an appointment. As you'd imagine, it's very busy, so be prepared to queue but there is usually always a seat

Staff were friendly but the tables were dirty, I was in there about 25 mins and didn't see one table being cleaned and considering in was inside a hospital you would of thought they would be extra careful with cleanliness

Only construction critism, politeness cost nothing, noticed how abrout and rude member of staff to a customer, when highlighting where to stand. If customer spoke to staff you wouldn't allow this customer into your establishment again.

Checked your website stating you are open. Came today (Saturday morning) to find a notice sating closed Saturdays and Sundays. Perhaps uyou should update your website. If you have time to make a hand written nitice to say you are closer. Then surely you can change opening times on your site.

Good stopping off point on the way in/out of Peterborough City Hospital

Team were really polite and working so hard.

A difficult location the 2 chairs at one table rule that was not sign posted. A staff member hollered at a pair of pensioners. She had obviously had difficulty with other customers and the no cash rule. Two wrongs don't make a right. Patience is essential for good customer service.

Staff are really friendly, I'm still mesmerised about how they remember all the orders when they are flat out busy. Very quick service and the most gorgeous Frostino around albeit a little expensive hence a infrequent treat.

I would like to know why you can not get hot coffee any more? You ask for extra hot and still comes out luke warm , is it because they don't want you enjoying your selves .Costa you must do better at least I can get a decent one at home.

Found it quite expensive but that's the same in all Costas was empty as early morning appointment but still had to queue with the few people waiting.

The cappuccino tasted like a cup of hot water with a little coffee taste don’t think they put fresh coffee in the outlet as it tasted like it had been pulled through before! Please spot check this outlet it’s letting the Costa name down badly!!!

Peterborough City Hospital costa cafe in the main entrance to the hospital building all the usual instore services and costa fair plenty of room and seating area outside are cafe but is shared with the other retail units within the foyer

My chorus, Rhapsody, were singing carols in the atrium of the hospital after spending the day singing in the community. The kind people in Costa Coffee offered us all free teas and coffees. What a lovely gesture, it was very much appreciated.

Probably the speediest Costa's I've been to, and we've had a cuppa in most of them in Peterborough. Unfortunately it's in the hospital, and parking is a nightmare.

Anything that helps the NHS is a good thing. Getting rents from Costa Coffee helps but doesn't replace proper funding.

Always handy to have there when on trips to the hospital. Friendly welcome and plenty of seating.

every week we make a special trip for our COSTA coffee skinny latte.It is the perfect cup made by lovely friendly staff and the restaurant has just had a refurbish and its lovely, so relaxing and clean

Have been visiting for 3 weeks now service slow , coffee is lukewarm at times, hot chocolate like tar. Sign says open until 19-00 have been several times and closed, need to get into the 20th century and open 24 hours a day like other hospitals , staff continually clock watching towards end of shift really need to up there game probably can't be bothered as no competition

The most rude and obnoxious staff I have ever experienced, I was there ealy in the morning and I only had a £20 note, the woman said in a very loud voice that there was no change! Then she gave me a horrible look like it was my fault! I walked off and she then rudely shouted that I need not be so rude! Loudly shouting across the hospital, I was shocked and embarrassed, another customer approached me later and told me to complain about the way I way treated, as I was disabled from an injury I did not go back there to complain, I decided to write this review instead.

Before or after an appointment, Costa is a good place to escape the hassle and enjoy a 'normal' coffee drinking environment. I went there once, escaping from a pre-op waiting room, and it was such a blessing!

Popped in here while waiting for a prescription. The service was so slow, i didnt particularly find the girl who served us to be very friendly either, there was no smile and nothing to make me feel welcomed as a customer. And why do their coffee cups have to be so damned heavy! On a positive note, the place was clean and the coffee was very nice.

Let’s start with the praise...having a costa at the hospital is a big bonus, and also the coffee was usual costa standard which is good! Service was ok too.The thing I couldn’t get my head around was the layout...you’re funnelled between too chilled cabinets (one of which was empty) to land somewhere in the middle of the counter between the two till points thus leaving you clueless as to what they’d like their queuing system to be. Nothing worse than a physical customer journey that is uncertain. Worth sorting out to improve the look and feel.

Hoorah! Coconut milk has finally reached Costa. Nipped in for a latte whilst at the hospital and thoroughly enjoyed my coffee.

Over the past few months I've had cause to visit this Costa on a regular basis. I've observed it to be a busy Costa and attempts are made by the staff to progress the queue and reduce the waiting times as much as possible which I'm sure is appreciated by all. However please stop shouting in customers faces!! Have some compassion and awareness of what your customers may be or have been through. The other morning having just dealt with the death of our father, as a family with miles to travel, we decided to have breakfast before we left the hospital. Standing at the counter trying to order wasn't helped by the staff member shouting loudly, a number of times as she served us, another customers order for toasted sandwiches which she clearly wasn't going to serve to the table and wanted the customer to collect from the counter. Please just think how you would feel in these types of situations. I would suggest some staff training on appropriate customer service given the location of this Costa.

Coffee was great but when I sit in a cafe for coffee, I like to receive my coffee in a proper cup not a paper take away cup.

This Costa is just inside the main doors of the hospital. There's plenty of seating and it's always clean and tidy.

I often have coffee at Costa and always enjoy it. I was disappointed this time as cups were not available, only paper beakers. Apparently the dishwasher had broken down. I suggest someone teaches the staff how to wash cups and keep the customers happy. It wouldn't be so bad but the day before I had exactly the same story at another Costa! Surely somebody could wash the cups. Is there a need for a dishwasher all the time?

Variety of food. At lunch time and morning really busy hard to get seat.

Very poor. No WiFi, no crumpets (waiting on delivery) for breakfast, croissant that was straight out of a packet. Nice staff but messed up order.
