Omar Sharifs in Rochdale

Have been eating from Omar for more than a year and a half, and the food is excellent, with excellent portions and tasty every time.

forgot drink out of boneless meal and content of kebab was much less than normal

The most inedible food i have ever ever ordered! Mild sauce was thick and clumpy! Pakora was crispy and inedible.

the chips were nice, the naan was edible but the curry wasn't it had a very strange aftertaste to it

never had any problems with this place but today something just didn't taste right with the chicken tikka massala..the smell and taste wasn't right and couldn't eat it..it left a fizzing taste on mouth

How can you charge 2,50 delivery plus 50p service charge i always use just eat to deliver it but no the boss delivers it charge you 2.50 to deliver it plus 50p service charge that's £3 before you even other your food you have just lost a good customer i won't be ordering anything again from you

Had a takeaway tonight from here and I have to say the staff are excellent and so friendly. The food was delicious and would definitely go again. Young man serving was 15 years old with excellent people skills and listened to everything we wanted. Well done lads xxx

curry was sweet and not spicy . was supposed to be a madras. didn't taste like it at all

Burger arrived dry no salad just awful like leather..stir fry Donner meat was just a plate of spice with absolute no taste, couldn’t eat it .. extremely disappointing and will never use this takeaway again. Waste of money went in the bin. Do not recommend!!

Since the takeaway has changed hands the service & attitude is very poor. I will not pay £7 for a £5.50 kebab!! Beware the subtle con of " do you want anything else?" Minimum charge £7 on card! This practice is unfair & I had my food snatched out of my hand when I questioned it! Very haram! Beware all customers!!! Bad attitude to polite paying customers.

Said on app it arrived when telephoned the restaurant he said it was at the restaurant and will be with us shortly. Driver did not want to bring the food to my door. He wanted me to collect from his car. food was barely warm, very disappointed with the restaurant

love omars, but they did put mayonnaise on my wrap when I chose No Mayonnaise 😞

We are local I have never left bad review but on my god - Awful experience. Collected order as previously late and cold food when delivered ..... tonight food was freezing !! we live 5 mins away. Chicken wings see pics 🤢 my husband returned the food he explained how kids had started eating chicken wings and was told he should watch what kids eating! Worse thing was when found hair entangled in rice - rang up so rude when complained . Rude in shop didnt except responsibility DO NOT USE!!!

Disgusting hard donner meat, as dry as a piece of firewood. Can't even fold it over, it just snaps. Samosas stunk of rancid oil, literally dripping off them. Avoid at all costs.

food arrived over an hour late, it was nearly 10pm and my kids had fallen asleep waiting. I had to wake them as they hadn't eaten and the food was cold, my sons burger was lacking in taste and cold and his fries cold and rubbery. pizzas had to be warmed in microwave but didn't get eaten as kids were too tired. my curry tasted OK buy again had to be warmed, I was extremely dissapointed and felt very sad for my kids.

Absolutely beautiful. The best take away in my opinion. Tasty and excellent food. Only one criticism and its not an issue, but it was a bit cold so had to microwave but it is a cold night so, no problem. Highly recommended x

Pulled up outside Sunday evening to see young worker chuffing on a ecig behind the counter ,then proceeded to serve a customer without washing his hands .

Pulled up outside omars last night with my husband to order food, we saw a man openely smoking an ecig behind the serving counter so safe to say we will never be going there again

Phoned up. He said couldn't hear me. Visited went there and said he needed to take my order AGAIIN. Went back not ready. Wife went back 15 minutes later after that. STILL NOT READY! Another customer said he was waiting 45 mins. After our 75 minutes wait food was still not ready. Eventually it was ready after obwr ONE AND A QUARTER HOUR was. Can of Coke missing from Burger Meal. Never coming back again. All this for a burger and doner meat.

Ordered kabab and chips for my son when order arrived husband took order as I'd picked my daughter up from work came back to find no food for my son so had to put another order in so not happy as you have to spend 10 then delivery so not happy only gave a 1 as couldnt actually give zero

OMG! Very bad attitude towards customer! Could not believe the attitude towards customer! Has it changed hands recently? The other guy from Oldham that used to be there was really friendly. Would rather eat my own poo than buy food from here again! Won't be back. Awful attitude & very rude.

Placed an order and delivery driver apparently delivered to another address...phoned omars (who i always use for takeaway) attitude from them was absolutely appalling won't refund or even speak to us in a decent manner. Disgusting attitude will never order from them again!!!!

Absolutely amazing as always. Generous potions and quite simply the beat kebabs in the area.

Used to order from here all of the time but have noticed a dip in quality recently. Have to say the curries are still nice but the naan breads are nowhere near as good as they used to be, particularly the ‘sweet’ naan - assume this used to be the peshwari but is now just some thin bread with sugar sprinkled on top. Quite disappointing!

Lovely curry and the only place I will order from.

Gave clear instructions but driver ended up a mile away so we had to go and collect which is what we didn’t want to do - agh!!!

I ordered the vegetarian bhaji and was given a completely different dish , not to mention that dish was quiet literally swimming in grease to the point where is was seeping through the paper bag and the plastic one.

We live under a mile away, waited for over an hour and a half, for a small order, never again!

Very poor service. Ordered meal, for take away. Got home, opened bag. Not our order. Rang complained, requesting £4 delivery fee. Even though Omar error. Won't give time of delivery, due to us not paying extra. Poor customer service. Rude on phone. Will not be returning. Such a shame as we have been customers for years.

This place used to be the best kebab in Rochdale. I used to go almost every week. Having been 3 times in the last 3 months I can confirm that it is well and truly the worst food in Rochdale. The staff are rude and aggressive, kids running round in the cooking area, sat on counters eating food. I ordered a special mix kebab, and it was stone cold. I returned it and was aggressively accused of eating it all and bringing it back for more. When I asked the “chef” to feel how cold it was he refused and slammed £6 onto the counter. He called me a lier. Who is running this place? You’ve taken a little gem and run it to the ground. It’s dirty, the food is shocking, disgusting.

First and last time ordering food from here food was late, onion bhaji was full of grease and cold, the chicken kebabs tasted awful and cold didn't trust eating it, salad was just cabbage with mint in a bag absolutely rubbish one bite and both kebabs thrown in the bin waste of £20 and time, don't waste your money going here..

Absolutely disgusting food just had 2 kebabs and bhajis the chicken tastes boiled and weird the bhajis are like onion burgers dripping in grease avoid if I could leave minus I would!

The food was delivered in good time. The Onio. Bhajis were in the majority Carrot and not onion so was moist rather than crisp. The Samosa lacked taste and I struggled to find any meat. We did not even bother with the rest of the order. I've used this takeaway since it opened in the 1980s. Never again

Lucky to get 1 star. Cold Kebab starter. Curry and rice cold , curry was so watery and bland.. do you think you could mess salad up ?? This place can. Limp salad and tasted like it was 3 days old. Never again. Avoid like the plague. !!!!

Omar Sharif's is our go-to place, and they never let us down (well, the odd popadom comes like a jigsaw puzzle, but that's not Omar's fault). In my opinion, they do one of the best kebabs in Rochdale, and their curries are sublime. Give them a go you will love it. I've been buying from Omar Sharif's for the last 30 years and always feel disappointed with food from anywhere else.

Chicken was full of blood and undercooked, do not order from here unless you want salmonella, the staff was very rude also

No salad on kebab. No salad or sauce with the samosas. Ruined our meal. Take away want to charge extra for EVERYTHING. Even having your salad seperate. Kebab arrived cold hence the request to have salad seperate so it can be warmed in the microwave but no. They want to charge EXTRA. Never ordered from here before. Will NEVER order from here again

Best curry I’ve had in ages all the food was cooked to perfection first time ordering will deffo me my new fave curry place and will be ordering again.

Everything was delicious and abundant. Only minor comment would be on the chicken massala, which was fine, but despite being nice and hot, otherwise a bit bland, and the chicken was slightly dry. Other chicken and meat dishes were all perfect though.

I had asked asap estimated time given was 20 mins longer than when food arrived...very happy with service, food was lovely and perfect temp. Will use again definitely! Thanks muchly!

I didn’t get my chicken pakora or my dinner wrap meal and all the food was re warmed and cold when I got it

The food is always really lovely. We always order from here. The only thing is the popadoms are always stale, which I have rung and highlighted this issue before to the staff. Hope you can get this sorted guys. Apart from that I can’t fault the food at all, it’s great.

Ordered food, took order then proceeded to cook the wrong food, terrible terrible service would not recommend, no menus up in shop claims they use different names to all other takeaways in rochdale. please think twice before you order from here, use take away across the road

The food arrived worryingly quickly to say I ordered starters & a curry. The chicken pakora was very dry and rock hard. The onion bhaji was also really dry. The curry was OK but I probably won’t order again in a hurry.

Kebab was perfect ...chips were crispy and still piping hot and the hot wings were perfectly cooked still juicy and the coating was crispy top notch

Pizza and garlic bread were both undercooked, doughy and the cheese was hardly melted and tasted cheap and rubbery.

So this place went out of their way to deliver to me in oldham. I've got to say this is the best takeaway I have had in a long time. Chicken tikka was amazing, chicken chat puri was the best I've ever had( not greasy at all ), samosas were so tasty, will definitely be ordering again. 10 out of 10 for me 😀

This has place has been a real life saver for us, we currently have an empty room waiting for a new kitchen. But thanks to the reliable delivery, high hygiene and good food from here helping us, we can manage not having a kitchen for a while.

I absolutely love their lamb currys and my fussy teenagers really like their burger meals from here

Forgets food and tells you they will bring it then even after phone calls to ask on the whereabouts coming up to an hour later it never arrives. Also very dismissive on the phone too.
