This is half the restaurant it used to be, literally. They sold half of it to a balti takeaway, and in my opinion they sold the good half. As I entered I was greeted by a sign saying that the card machine was broken and a guy at the side telling me where to get cash. I should have smelled a rat right then... But instead I took a seat. Bendy poppadoms with a strange, greasy smell. (my wife had to go wash her hands after consuming one). The main meals were palatable but you don't go out to a restaurant for palatable, or I certainly don't. The bill was hand written on a torn off strip of A4 paper. (they don't even give you a full piece). I didn't visit the restrooms so can't comment but my wife had lots of negative things to say about them. Strange that the card machine is broken (for 9 months) when you can order uber eats and takeaways. Something isn't quite right there as nothing goes through the register. As I read through the reviews I can only imagine this restaurant is frequented by many easily pleased diners.... With lots of money. The prices are eye wateringly high.

Best Indian take out in my opinion in the area. Portions are very large but also delicious. Definitely recommend.👍

Our local restaurant, not been for a while and won’t be going again. Food was ok, the service was very poor, unfriendly staff like we shouldn’t have been there, very expensive for what it was. Been going here for years but will definitely not be going back, much more friendly restaurants close by. Avoid!

Rude staff terrible services will never go again avoid

The service tonight was poor. Waited an hour for our main course. Handed back the first gin and tonic as it was tasteless and the tonic was flat. The second G&T was served in the same glass with no ice or lemon. They weren't busy so no excuse.

Been many times in the past. For the latest booking for 5 we were informed the card machine was out of order and they could only accept cash. After the meal our bill was hand written on a piece of blank paper. No official receipt given. Can't help feeling there is some evasion going on there. The food was OK but my chicken was dry and tough like it had been cooked too long or many times. Service was fine and prices ok. Not many in for a Saturday night. Think we will give it a miss next time.

Great Indian Food, polite staff, nicely decorated and really clean. We had the mixed starter, a chicken Tikka Madras, mushroom pilau, and Garlic Naan. Delicious.

Had a take away, the king prawn shashlik was the worse I have ever tasted. The naan was burnt, I won't be ordering again. They need to change their chef.

This will be the 3rd/4th time i’ve ordered from here (delivery); first 2/3 times were amazing and in my opinion was the best chicken madras i’d ever had! but tonight’s? i don’t know what has changed about it but it ended up straight in the bin- highly disappointed, the smell, taste and look has completely changed and i’m gutted <\3

What an excellent meal! Service was excellent, food was the same. Popadums were thin and crispy, and the peshwari naan was the best ever tasted, being crispy and sweet instead of doughy. Would recommend

First off, let's differentiate, there's the restaurant which is excellent and 5 star, then there's the takeaway next door. Sadly, the restaurant uses the takeaway next door for their own takeaways which is a great shame. The takeaway is suitable only for those that want to exercise their jaws on unchewable lamb, those that are happy to settle for a tiny, and I mean tiny portion of fish starter for £6 or even those wanting to die from a heart attack by 'drinking' all that oil the curries are swimming in. Quite frankly it is not fit for human consumption. Conclusion = Disgusting and completely overpriced

This was our first visit since their refurbishment. Interior is very bright now and there seemed to be more space around tables. We always book a booth anyway. Food and service were good, starters and mains were generous portions and tasty. Didn't recognize any of the staff so I assumed it has changed hands.

We have eaten at this restaurant and used their takeaway service for many years and loved the food here.,However, Since the Covid outbreak this restaurant has been taking delivery orders but to collect from the takeaway next door. On two occasions we have ordered takeaways and had to collect from the shop next door and the food is absolutely not good. It does not compare to the original restaurant menu food. I suspect that the owners of the restaurant have given the takeaway business to the Indian takeaway for financial reasons but cheeky enough are still charging the restaurant takeaway prices. The food is seriously substandard, which is such a shame because it was once so good . I don’t know why they have done this. Stupid for business. Won’t risk eating at the restaurant either now

Donner Kebab really greasy, swimming in it. Chips tasted like onion baji, Lamb chops really nice and delivery fast!

Used for the first time and I have to say that everything, the menu, website, delivery and food was all excellent - much better than other restaurants and takeaways that we have used in the area. We will definitely be ordering again soon

Went for first time since the refurbishment and we were so surprised. It’s so different , white and modern with flowers and led lights. The waiters were lovely and everything about our meal was superb Highly recommend once the lockdown is over. They are open for take aways for now

Ordered our takeaway 3 hours ago, chased it 30 mins ago and it was being wrapped, chased it again 5 mins ago and it’s being wrapped still. Customer service is none existent tonight. If they can’t fulfil it just be truthful and I’ll go elsewhere. Doubt I’ll be going back or accepting the order

Order our usual take away at 5.55pm on Saturday eve waited and waited and still no delivery call them at 7.45 pm to ask if he had ordered through deliveroo which we always order direct the order had not been processed and had not yet even left the premises was always good but now they have started Bamford Balti express the service and standard of the food have dropped very very low stay clear

Awful service! We"d booked a table for 18 to celebrate two birthdays. We had young children with us so decided to pre order starters and a main, mild dish for the children hoping that they would be prepared in advance and so speed up the serving! As scheduled we arrived at 6:00 PM and placed our other orders for drinks etc. At 7:00 PM we were still waiting and the children getting difficult to manage! On asking we were told we should place ALL our orders together before we could be served!! Not impressed with quality of food either. Will not be back! Will not be recommending! Bring back the old management who knew how to serve, had a better choice of food, drinks and looked after the customers!! 👎👎👎

My family and I eat here fairly often, and have loved it every time! We have never had a bad meal, and there's a vast range of items on the menu. The customer service is impeccable, and there's always someone ready to help. For example, we tried to get someone's attention for a drink and he didn't notice, but someone else was instantly over to help. Also love that you can take home whatever you don't finish, so you never have to feel like you've wasted a delicious meal!
