I had take away some paneer dopiaza bit spicy but it's nothing taste just they gave me Normal curry sauce with paneer and Chappati got no butter on it and stale. Poppadam are cold and ask for some disposal cutlery to staff and he don't gave me say that we don't get any. Need to work on it copper pot please. Waste of money .

I appreciate the prices are a pound or 2 more per dish if you order via uber eats but at £6.95 to find one small reshmi kebab under an omelette... fried in let's just say not clean oil..is taking the Michael!. I was looking for the "other kebab" which I thought must have slipped out from the box into the paper bag but to no avail. Prices are already extortionate..place could be renamed Gold Pot ..but that's fine as long as what you are paying for is somewhat decent but my order was well below par. The best bit about the vegetable samosas was the spring roll pastry outer cover. The lamb biryani and chicken biryani was very disappointing, I have had so many biryanis from multiple takeaways/restaurants, and yes they are not the same as home cooked but these were deprived of any sort of flavour. Don't get me wrong, it looked like biryani but it certainly didn't taste like it! Everything I ordered today, if you ate with your eyes closed you would never guess it was desi food..never in a month of Sundays!

Food nowhere near as good as it used to be. Quite bland to be honest. Used to really like this place. Prices are quite high and portions smaller. Edit: I posted after the starters but have to say the main meal was nice.

If you want THE best Indian food, service and atmosphere in the North West of England, look no further than The Copper Pot. The entire establishment, led by Sid, who's the manager will not disappoint you or your family and friends. Having lived in Rochdale for many years, and then lived in Asia for over a decade, I have not eaten better food than here when it comes to curry. The restaurant is well appointed, with decorations and styling that is well above the standard Indian eatery. Ambience and lighting really adds to the location. Well proportioned menu, with easily understandable dishes and ingredients too. Classic dishes, plus chef recommended dishes too. Try the Chicken Chaat starter which is delightful. The Copper Pot Mixed Starter is excellent too. Extremely detailed, and by far the most competitively priced menu in the area, and considering the portion sizes, don't be surprised when you realise you need a doggy bag takeaway at the end of your meal either. I've tried to get some decent photos and videos of our evening and the food too, but I may not have done it enough justice. But please note, whilst the restaurant may 'appear' empty, I took these photos at opening time to ensure I gave the venue the right level of credit for it's décor and space. Within 30 mins of opening, the restaurant was filling up nicely, so book early so you're not disappointed. You will see that I've given this restaurant a 5* score. This is very unique and unusual for me to do, which, when you see all my hundreds of other reviews, is something that I have not given before. Therefore, I hope you understand the level of respect and credibility I am showing to The Copper Pot. Truly brilliant restaurant. Great service from Sadiq and team, felt welcomed from walking in the door, nothing was too much trouble , our waiter took time to recommend and explain the selections even creating bespoke for our tastes food was excellent and service incredible, would definitely recommend definitely 5 stars from us.

I rang regarding an enquiry the person who I spoke to who claimed to be the ‘manager’ was very rude completely discarded my questions, proceeded to put the phone down on me and was shouting down the phone - when I rang back he was speaking over me very rude disgusting way to speak to customers

I feel bad writing this as the staff were so lovely. Decor and welcome on arrival were spot on, it’s a fairly big place and was fairly busy, lots of families with small children. Waiter was very attentive and helpful, we ordered Popadoms and Pickle tray to start. Popadoms were average, couple of extras chucked in too, pickle tray was okay but the onion salad and yogurt were bland and unpleasant. Main course. I had the Lamb Shashlik, with a Garlic naan and my partner had the lamb tikka chilli with plain naan. Mine arrived on a sizzling platter, big chunks of lamb, with a side of curry sauce. Curry sauce was ok, naan was crispy and tasted reheated, not pleasant at all. The lamb was so tough it was virtually inedible. My partners dish was equally unpleasant, dry tough lamb in a not very nice sauce. One of the worse Indian meals I’ve ever had. I complained about the quality and the staff were very apologetic, they gave me a replacement meal to take away but it wasn’t any better Won’t be returning

Extremely disappointed with our visit tonight. I have been here before a few times and never had a bad word to say. I would have even said it was the nicest Indian around. However, it was a very different story tonight! The food wasn’t great at all, it came out lukewarm and tasteless. I had fish bhuna and the fish was horrible. It tasted old, dry and like it had been reheated many times. My daughter had chicken nuggets and chips and within 2-3 hours of being home, she had the runs and very painful tummy cramps. It was also seriously over priced. Me and my friend had 3 curries, 2chips, 2rice, 2 naans, 2x kids meals with 6 soft drinks and cost us £105. The man behind the desk then had to cheek to add on an extra £5 tip and just expected us to pay this. I don’t mind paying for food if it’s enjoyable, which unfortunately this certainly wasn’t. Very disappointed and will not be returning, it has gone seriously down hill!

Food average. Waiters not great. Went as a group of friends and had to all pay separately at the end .. most places would add up each persons when asked - no we were told to add it up ourselves, took a while. Definitely wouldn’t recommend or go back.

Fabulous food and they wasn’t quite open so I asked if I could come in as I needed to leave before half 5 and they let me in cooked for me right away and the staff was fabulous, I will be going back next month when I’m in the same position.

Orderd a takeaway orderd chicken tikka mild hot and didn't get one tasted like a stew or madris or something weird not a chicken tikka and last time I had it it tasted of lemons and paying 34 pound and got soggy chips the onion pages wher nice tho won't be back waist of money .

Loved it. Food was amazing , staff were attentive and polite. With 2 teenage kids in tow who loved the food and as you know teenage kids are fussy. Overall a great experience

Went here with some friends to swop over Christmas pressies. We went in and looked around, First impressions were good, lightning, decor and bar all looked really great. Greeted with a large smile and thanks for coming to the restaurant. Taken to our seat and asked if we wanted some drinks. From the large menu we ordered our meals. The drinks came quickly and with our poppadoms. About 10 minutes later the starters came which were delicious then followed on with the mains. Which were just Perfect, hot spicy and great flavours Would highly recommend this great restaurant. With great staff and nice surroundings. Sorry no pics.

You must make sure your amount is correct especially if you are in a large group. It’s a good job my husband had his wits about him as he noticed a MASSIVE discrepancy in the total amount. It then took over half and hour to sort it all out as they were trying to double charge for items that were already in the set meals !!! The waiter was getting very annoyed with us BUT TOUGH…We were not prepared to pay OVER what we had actually ordered. ‼️ PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND CHECK CHECK AND CHECK AGAIN ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A LARGE GROUP BOOKING ‼️ If you are a large group booking, you will be asked to pay a deposit of £10 per head. A few of our group unfortunately didn’t attend due to illness, the staff were not happy about that and pulled their face !!!! WOW, can’t help illness. The service was on the worse side of ok, frantic, understaffed, forgetful (my sister asked for a drink 4 times) a few miserable staff members and it was only early evening service. Kids meals :- Eggs and chips. Eggs are poached not fried and my granddaughter didn’t eat them as they genuinely didn’t look cooked. Sent them back and 20 minutes later the meal came out again but the eggs just didn’t look cooked so she just ate her chips. Portion of mixed starter :- Good but samosa was very oily inedible, the rest was very nice. Portion sizes of pilau rice and chips :- Very small and expensive. Portions of naan bread :- Medium, expensive but nice and fresh. Portions of main meals :- Good but liquidy and just alright taste wise. Drinks are all bottled and expensive. Interior is absolutely lovely. Menu colour is bad for your eyes as it’s gold on black. Menu doesn’t inform you of how spicy the dishes are so you have to ask waiting on staff. This was our first and last visit. We simply didn’t like the place or the atmosphere. We will not visit here again, we have had better food and service elsewhere and we do not recommend it…at all.

Food was tasty, but portions meagre. Service was OK but not forthcoming or particularly friendly. Music was old fashioned and it felt clinical in there. Was told we need to leave a deposit to reserve a table, and because all the numbers didn't arrive due to sickness, they insisted on keeping the £50 deposit despite it being the best part of a £300 bill. They claim was that "we could have told them" even though we arrived very shortly after opening. Place was half empty most of the night. Pathetic response from them and they claimed we were taking advantage and this was their policy, despite this not being anything explicitly mentioned. Go somewhere that isn't staffed by jokers. Plenty of decent curry houses about.

Service was poor , ordered 2 started for me and my partner and only received 1 had to ask for the other one in the end as I don’t think I would have received it!? Young waiter seemed disinterested ! Won’t go here again .. poor service

Went with my husband & 2 kids for our wedding anniversary. After waiting 1.5hrs for our starters, we left! They seemed more interested in getting the takeaway orders out, than serving the customers they had in-house. Would never go again

Place not very busy early on a Saturday night, however, a really attentive staff and one of the best curries I've ever had! And I have had A LOT. Also, a nice place to eat.

I like seeing different things on the menu that I haven’t tried before and was pleased to see some here that I haven’t tried. I asked the waiter about one of the dishes and his reply was “It’s nice”. I was expecting a bit more of a description to be honest. That didn’t convince me so I asked about another and his reply was “That’s nice too!” We ended up with 2 very average at best curries which my wife said were like the ones you get from Tesco, which is a much more accurate description than the ones the waiter gave us. We won’t be going again

After nearly 20 years visiting we will not return. Nicely set tables are part of the experience which have now gone . Under the guise of “ hygiene” you now have your cutlery tossed at you in a tightly wrapped napkin. Had to ask for more drinks, had to ask for the bill. Seemed understaffed on a Saturday evening and it showed in the demeanour of the usually engaging staff. The savings bags on tables clothes, proper napkins and table set may seem a great saving and bonus to the bottom line but Sid is forgetting that Rochdale punters have a wide choice. Too expensive for the experience I’m afraid .

It is a beautiful restaurant with lovely staff who will make you feel appreciated. They are really helpful. Umar can help you with anything, he is really friendly.

Myself and my husband visited this restaurant on 25th July 2023 for our wedding anniversary as I had never been before. We had a nice meal and the bill was £80. We decided to return on sat 28th July with our 4 year old granddaughter. We ordered a bottle of wine. The waiter came for our food order . My husband and I wanted to share a curry. I ordered boiled rice for my granddaughter. The waiter said 'so you are sharing a curry with 3 people ' I said 'no she is 4 years old and likes just rice'. He said I will do it on this occasion but it's Saturday night and a 4 year old was taking up a seat. There were empty tables. I was disgusted and upset by his comment. I told him we were uncomfortable about being in that restaurant. Children are the next generation and future customers. I have never had this experience at Zeeras or indeed any other restaurants. Staff need customer service training

Just amazing food. Treated my son who had flown in from America. There isn’t anywhere that serves this type of Asian food where he lives so it was a real treat!! Definitely pick up a takeaway in the near future.

My food was delicious. Lamb in sause was tender and mothmelted. My husband's got chopped lamb 'steaks' in sauce (sorry for poor description, I'm a layman). His lamb pieces were small, with more bone than meat, hard to chew. There was almost no fresh veggies, so I had hard time to digest the food. Some nice salad 🥗 would do the work. I cannot complain about the service. Waiters were absolutely amazing, helpful, polite and generous. They were the shiny example of service.

Nice food..great value..good menu. Lovely staff. What you expect from a long standing Indian restaurant. We visited on Eid and staff were very accommodating of a large group. No draft beers for those looking for a pint. And small wine list. But all round a nice experience for all. Recommend the Lamb Saag....It was LUSH!

The best Indian restaurant I have ever..... ever been to!! The food was simply amazing could not find fault one bit. The staff and manager were extremely polite, the restaurant itself looked 5 star! A very good menu with so much to choose from. I’ve been to a few Indian restaurants in Rochdale / Manchester and the surrounding area and to be honest you can’t even start to compare it’s way ahead of ALL competition. What an amazing restaurant I really can’t wait to go again and would highly recommend it’s brilliant.

Decent food, good service, nice staff

Not that good. food has no flavour nothing like Indian food. tandooris are not cooked well thicker than usual. momos are nothing like moomos they have naming spring rolls as momos in short can be a option if u don't reservation anywhere else.

Very disappointed, after previous visits we were expecting a good curry but the starter was bland and the curry was basically chicken in tomato sauce!

**FANTASTIC** Tonight we had a meal at the copper pot and I can honestly say it was the nicest curry I've had in a long time . Red hot food served by really friendly and polite staff who can't do enough for you . The restaurant is so beautiful and really well managed everything was just so lovely . All 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals , two of us are vegetarian and found plenty of options to choose from. The staff go above and beyond . The place is immaculate. The food is great . What more could you want ?! Oh and a member of staff gave us complimentary drinks which was so nice ... they didn't even know it was my birthday 😁 Thank you for a fantastic evening. Will definitely be back soon !

Wish we had looked at reviews as there are plenty of places to get a good curry from in Rochdale. We have been here before which was a while ago and then it was lovely. Unfortunately after this time we won’t be visiting again. There was no draught beer available and the young waiter did not seem to understand what a pint was. They only have bottles beer all priced at 3.55 and two of these make up a pint. The starter arrived and the shish kebab was stone cold. They rectified it quickly. But the replacement was not much warmer and was not eaten. Both curries were grainy and it was if they had chopped up meat and added to a pre prepared sauce which was then microwaved. They did not charge us for the starter. It’s such a shame but we wish we had read the reviews before going.

Worst meal I've ever eaten in my whole life!!! Boiled chicken swimming in oil, small portion of pilau rice, soggy nan. Yuk!! Do not eat here, I never write reviews but felt needed to warn others not to go. Terrible food, slow service....just BAD!!!!!

First visit to Copper pot and i must say the food is good but after the waiter tipped two drinks all over me and smashing a glass where pieces went all over myself and my wife i would have expected some good will taken into consideration on my bill. these drinks were spilled on me before we'd even ordered food so i sat for my meal soaked. very poor customer service

We came here back in November last year before going the cinema next door. Food was amazing freshly made hot curry’s with proper flavours etc. the staff were very friendly as well. The only downside being the really expensive price of a the bill.
