Decided to go back to the ‘Kitchen’ for a bite to eat prior to a theatre visit and once again, found it an excellent experience. This is a lovely atmospheric place with an almost rural décor however spoilt a little bit by the chairs which create an unfortunate echo when moved so it can be noisy as a result. A minor point to be honest but one which some folks might find really annoying. Forewarned is forearmed. I always find that you get a great welcome here, normally by the owner which makes you feel very much at home. Requesting speedy service as time was tight, this wasn’t a problem and our burger and Spaghetti Bolognaise was delivered in pretty good time. Service excellent, good drinks service and although a short visit, it was exactly what we wanted. A well recommended eaterie and one which we will return to time and again.

What a super friendly owner,such a lovely guy👍Loved the decor and food was great.We ate early so only 1 other family there but I can imagine a great atmosphere if busier.My only suggestions is please play some authentic Iranian ,Italian,or Greek music in here because then you really could youre imagine you're on youre holidays and not in Olney.Olney's lovely but rather than background popular radio..get some good Mediterranean music in there and it would really enhance the experience 😊 good music when dining out can keep you in the venue for hrs! The owner was the nicest, friendliest guy ever,nothing was too much trouble for him 10 out of 10.Were new to the area and will definitely go back.Claire.

This has become our family’s go-to restaurant. Food is great, excellent menu and the chef/owner always shows a genuine interest in making sure everything is just right.

We've dined at Olney Kitchen on a few occasions now and with every visit, we have had a great experience. The owner is always so welcoming and takes the time to ensure we have everything we need! Food and wine are delicious so would highly recommend!

This place is gem. The owner/chef is so lovely and he promised us the best salads. Well I know a good salad when I see it and wow he did not disappoint. The ingredients were fresh and vibrant, my tubs steak was cooked to perfection as was my mum's halloumi. And the dough balls were a perfect carb complement. We ate everything on the plate and can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. The deco was beautiful and inviting and I can see it as a great venue for parties.

Great burgers and excellent service. From the outside you wouldn't think this was a place that specialised in burgers, but they were excellent. The staff were very attentive and the food extremely good. Dirty Burger - juicy pulled pork and a tasty patty Boston Burger - crispy chicken and proper mac & cheese which was unexpected. Would recommend. The restaurant was quiet over lunch so it's hard to comment on the atmosphere. The restaurant is spacious and feels open.

Matti makes the greatest lasagne and steak sliced pizza.. We have the same on every visit. Very tasty and fresh ingredients which makes all the difference. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Always made to feel very welcome .

We've been here a few times by now and I think people should know this place is...well... delicious! Always went for burgers. The patty is so lean and juicy, and the different combos of toppings turns them into delicious gourmet burgers. The location is cozy and holds a very zen atmosphere. Don't take my word for it, give it a go and then decide for yourself, I'm pretty confident you'll love it! 💚

As a celiac i could not recommend this place more. they were so catering to me and understood that it needs to be gluten free as the owners wife and kids are rhe same. This also came at no extra cost to have it gluten free. You can have majority of the menu gluten free also which is great! The most friendliest service ever and great decoration and feel to the restaurant. Immediately recommended this to my family and friends. Will definitely be returning!!

This visit was a long overdue treat! Due to surgery, my wife and I hadn’t been to eat here for about 6 weeks but I decided I just couldn’t wait any longer! Our perfect meal here tends to start with some crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside dough balls served with some very moreish garlic butter. That wakes your taste-buds up! Next, a thin crust Margherita pizza for my wife with added fresh tomatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms and fresh basil. For me, I can’t resist the chicken and green pesto pizza, with caramelised onions and I always add sun-dried tomatoes and black olives - Wow! full of full-on umami flavours! The pizza dough is light and tasty and the toppings are generous. We chose to help our pizzas down with a fruity glass of Shiraz. A comfortable, friendly and relaxed atmosphere and a real treat after such a long enforced wait. We’ll be returning much sooner for a repeat performance!

Hidden gem in Olney! How I have been missing out on this place!!! Went for lunch and had the mushroom starter and a burger for main, I’m not even a fan of burgers normally but this blew me away! Fantastic food, very friendly service, and we will defo be back again! I particularly liked that it was big inside so didn’t feel packed and loud!

We didn’t arrive until 9pm on the chance we could have a table for 6 people, this was no problem at all seated straight away.The order was taken quickly and shortly after the drinks arrived the Starters followed and then the mains, looked at tasted great with fantastic service. Thank you for accommodating us so late in the evening

Lovely gluten free pizza made with homemade, fresh baked dough, lovely and thin, with generous toppings. They also offer gluten free burgers and buns with a staggering number of toppings. The chips topped with melted cheese and crispy, smoky bacon were gorgeous too. Prices very reasonable. E.g. a 250ml glass of decent Pinot Grigio was £6.60 and I think the cheesy bacon chips were £3. The service was attentive and friendly.

Friendly staff, tables not tightly packed, private snug area. My wife and I had dough balls with garlic butter to start followed by two pasta dishes and alfagatta to finish; very tasty. Only let down was the loos, not so good.

A late, spur-of-the-moment lunch. Two of us had burgers, one a chicken burger. All were absolutely excellent and the service was friendly and, frankly, delightful. Really tasty and great value.

Fantastic food freshly cooked great place and great owner

We had just been to my brothers funeral and were looking for somewhere nice for a meal and my friend suggested this restaurant. I am so glad she did! We were welcomed as soon as we walked through the door. Very attentive staff and the food was out of this world! So much choice but I had the lamb and it was gorgeous- we weren’t planning to have desserts but how could we not - we were not disappointed! The best surprise was the bill - very reasonable for 5 of us. We will be going back again - the sooner the better. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough!

Only negative to say is they wouldn’t let me tip more, gave us free food, fresh, tasty pizza and had really quick service

An impromptu, "let's go out for lunch" drew us to the Olney Kitchen. We've visited once before and it was the excellent attentive service and the deliciously tasting food that brought us back. DO NOT pass this restaurant by. A narrow alleyway, with an eclectic choice of decoration, could give the impression that you're not in a typically Italian restaurant. The owner/chef made us feel incredibly welcome, recognised us from our last visit and produced two incredibly tasty Italian dishes. We're working on taking a larger party with us next time, so we can share this hidden jewel in Olney.

Wonderful place, great service, and excellent food.

The best Italian food I’ve ever had. I had the seafood linguine and the flavours were amazing. The staff were very friendly and service was very good. I would highly recommend going if you are a fan of Italian food.

We found this lovely place a few weeks ago and have made regular weekend trips to have lunch here. We can't rate it highly enough, they do fantastic food, lots of gluten free options, and even lots of options for feeding our little one (11 months) so he can join in the meal with us. There is always quick service, delicious food, and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. A definite firm favourite for us, but especially our little boy!

Met on arrival and shown to our table straight away. There was a fairly large family party already dining, plus another couple pf small tables at 7pm on a Friday evening. Our drinks order was taken and then delivered fairly promptly. There is a LOT to choose from on the menu, but between the 6 of us we decided on a couple of portions of doughballs to start which we didn’t have to wait too long for. Not long after our mains came and they were all delicious! We had a Fiorentina pizza, spaghetti bolognaise, carbonara and 3 different types of burgers, i had the Boston burger which was a chicken burger with mac n’cheese on, brilliant! The service was fab, nothing too much trouble. 2 of our party ordered Affogato for dessert, and then the chef brought out a plate of 4 complimentary profiteroles for us remaining 4 to share! It was all very good and we will definitely be back!

Lovely restaurant. Went there for the first time today. Staff were friendly and great with the kids. The chef even came out and was very engaging. The food was delicious. Will definitely be back.

I’m always happy when we go to Olney kitchens with our two children and family, always so welcoming and the food is always good. We have been with larger groups and have been very accommodating with dietary needs and requirements too ! Always go over and beyond!! It is wonderful I always came here as a kid and they never failed to please me with their amazing food , the service is so good and the owner of the place is probably the nicest person I have ever met in my life!! I truly do recommend that you go here if you can! It is a five stars in every way from me!! <3

A very friendly atmosphere. All food is freshly cooked, with amazing service. We have visited Olney Kitchen twice now, and been impressed on both occasions. Nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely continue to support them. We can highly recommend this restaurant.

Poor experience at The Olney Kitchen. The online reviews did not match the meal we received. We had the mezze which was not as described on the menu, the falafel were burnt and the portions were small for the £14.99 per person price. Took ages to arrive and when we asked for a bit more flat bread because the portions were so tiny we found to our dismay we had been charged £5.99 each for a tiny piece of flat bread. The waiter did not give a satisfactory reason why this was an additional charge and then there was 10% service charge for poor service! I would not recommend this restaurant it’s very poor quality, service and ambience. Avoid it

Late lunch /early dinner Always open and always a fabulous friendly welcome from the lovely guys who run this restaurant. The food is always marvellous and cannot rate how lovely this place is and the food is amazing Don’t live local but always search this place out in Olney every time we come here.

Fitted us in at the last minute, as we were passing through Olney. Hospitality was great, and the food was well-presented and tasted great. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

This is a delightful restaurant with a nice open and airy feel about the place. There are plenty of great pizza, pasta and burger options and other specialities and the food is superb! They will tailor your food depending on your requirements and they are so friendly, and the food is lovely. The manager/main chef is a wonderful guy! All in all a wonderful evening had by all of our party.

Also the situation was exacerbated by the amount of takeaways being cooked and sent out. It is a shame that takeaways take precedent over customers in a restaurant.

This is our Mother's favourite place to eat and so for her 70th Birthday we booked a family meal, we could not have been better looked after and all of the food was very acceptable and very reasonably priced, drinks were good value too! This is a restaurant that does exactly what is said and is run by a very caring and passionate person. Thank you for making our Mother's birthday meal so special

Love the food in this place! The chef is so accommodating and it’s always a plus when staff recognise you and make you feel welcome! It was busy but the service was great and food arrived without too much of a wait! Would recommend the lamb, served with salad on flat bread! Very tasty. A real little gem for Olney!

The owner is a great host , the food was good, the pudding did let it down for me. And to be fair the whole place needs a dam good clean .

Decided to eat early and when going in, it was pretty quiet (only one other table occupied). Met at the entrance by the chef who showed us to a table and we were handed over to the owner as were sitting down. Very friendly welcome with drinks order and food choices taken together. I had the Lasagne Al Forno with my wife opting for the grilled chicken with a portion of onion rings. Service within 10-15 minutes and very impressed with the presentation of the chicken. Extremely attractive and my wife was delighted with it. The lasagne was in a large dish and tasted great. Piping hot with plenty of beef and a fab tasting tomato sauce. Certainly up to the high standard we have come to expect from the Kitchen and nice to see things beginning to get busy as we were leaving. Certainly will be back.

Very disappointed with Olney Kitchen. They messed up our reserved table & gave it to another party, though they did give us an odd combination of pushed up tables. We had to ask to order drinks & food as the waiting staff just ignored us. One main course was forgotten, but eventually came. The food was good, but the service just awful. We will not return.

Dreadful service. Forgot that we’d booked a table, ignored us until we went to ask to be served, then forgot to make one of the main dishes. Tastes nice when it eventually came, but we’ll not be revisiting. The place wasn’t even that busy on a Friday night.

Olney Kitchen has always been one of my favourite places to go for dinner. The Owner is such a lovely man & he can’t do enough for you everytime you visit. Food is always delicious and filling - my favourite is the Duck Pizza!

For an early Bank Holiday afternoon, we didn't expect to be able to get a Table, as swiftly as we did, although we do tend to eat a bit later, than most. It was lovely to be given the chance to choose where we sat, as soon as we walked it, following a warm and friendly welcome by an engaging and enthusiastic member of the establishment. The atmosphere was extremely calm and relaxed, not to mention, exceptionally clean and tidy, just, very inviting. The Menu is extensive, Pizzas, Burgers, Salads, Sides, to mention, but a few of the tempting choices. My Partner opted for a Spicy Burger, which included Jalapenos, Cheese and Chilli Con Carne, which he devaoured. I would have loved to of recorded his consumption period on a timelapse Camera! I went for one of their Salads, in this instance, a Mozzarella, Tomato, and Basil Pesto one, complete with Garlic Dough Balls. It was delicious! The Drink selection is also varied, as is the choice of Desserts available, and all at very reasonable and competitive prices. It's a venue we would highly recommend, and one we will, for certain, be frequenting, again, very soon. Before I forget, Cheers to all of the Staff who made our visit as satisfying as it was. About 20 of us came to Olney Kitchen for a birthday, the service was absolutely fantastic. For a large group, I’ve never had better service before, very hospitable and the food was very good. They’re a great family run business!

When we are in the area, we always visit for a meal. Food is nice and staff are very friendly. Thank you.

Went with friends- we had booked a table in advance with it being a Saturday night. As always seems to be the case, there were very few staff, leading to incredibly slow service and long gaps with no drinks/food. One poor lady seemed to be covering the whole restaurant. The food was nice, although not very warm. Such a shame they don't have more staff at peak times, as we would definitely have ordered more drinks and food if someone had checked back with us. This is a frequent problem so I don't think we'll be rushing back.

Our second visit to this restaurant and once again we were very pleased with the food and the service. We will revisit again in the future.

Ordered a take away for the whole family & was told via email that the order would be available for collection after 20 minutes. The food arrived after 50 minutes & no apology was offered. Once home the Tuna Nicoise salad was terrible, the tuna cooked to the point it was bone dry & they added scrambled egg to the salad instead of boiled. It was almost inedible. All the chips in the order were cold & the dough balls were missing completely. Despite the promise of a refund for the salad & dough balls there has been nothing received. When I spoke to the manager to explain why I was disappointed he put the phone down on me & I had to call back.

We had an amazing evening at the Olney Kitchens! The portions was huge (almost too big to stomach, but incredible value for money) and the service was incredible. It was my sister's 18th birthday and they gave her a free tiramisu cake and sung happy birthday; it was so lovely! I'd reccomend everyone to come to Olney Kitchens

Great service, shout out to the chef who was very accomodating when it came to vegan foodz and whipped up a mega pizza which (although I couldn't finish it), I would 100% have again. Also, the restaurant has an interesting faux indoor courtyard feel which I wasn't expecting.

Homemade Pizzas & Pasta plus quite a range of adventurous burgers. On a cold day the Cannelloni & Meatballs with spaghetti went down a treat. Highly recommended Olney Kitchen.

Fabulous place, tucked away in Olney. A real gem - so relaxing and welcoming, with excellent food and wine. Pizzas and pasta dishes are particularly delicious, and the range of burgers is impressive! With wisteria hanging tastefully inside, it has a real feel of somewhere relaxing and sunny. Highly recommended.

I found this by complete accident last week on a business meeting. I needed a quick bite to eat so I wandered in out of curiosity. It's a lovely place full of charm and romance. I ordered the meatball pizza which was cooked perfectly. Just the right size for a lunchtime meal, and prices were very sensible indeed for the quality you get. I'll be coming back again soon with my partner as loved it so much for a meal out. Thoroughly recommend.
