Olive Indian Restaurant in Wycombe

We had a takeaway from here whilst staying at an AirBnB nearby. The food was absolutely fantastic, it was super tasty and not at all greasy. Portion sizes for a takeaway were also very substantial which was nice and naan breads were top notch. We collected from the restaurant itself and paid in cash, which gets you a very noticeable discount so well worth doing. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Delicious healthy (tasty but not oily) Indian food. Generous portions, quick and attentive service. Lovely decor sadly quite empty the night we were there but it was a wet October night. Definitely recommend as good value too.

Top class Indian, best in the area in terms of food quality. The flavours are consistently amazing which shows the skill of the chef and good ingredients. Delivery can be difficult so I'd recommend collection or sit in.

Really good food and really tasty! We got the chicken korma and the chicken tikka masala. The food arrived quickly and still fresh. We used their website to order, which is very user-friendly On top of everything, if you order on the phone you get a 25% discount so again recommend 👌

Just had a take away from Olive. Hariyali Lamb, saffron rice, chapatti and popadoms. The service was wonderful, the food was fantastic, probably the best Indian I have had in a very long time. Whilst I didn’t eat in, the place was busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I will be back again. Thank you

Awesome curry and great service always

Delicious food. Chicken Jalfrezi was spot on and not greasy. Tasty naan bread. And delivered for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend. Edit. 7/23. Went for a meal in the restaurant after numerous takeaways. Great atmosphere and wonderful service, food was spot on and totally different from what we have delivered although both are excellent. Well worth a go, dine in or take out. Edit. 12/5/24. Been a while since we've had a delivery from olives and sadly this time they dropped the ball a little. Poppadoms usually order 1 and no fewer than 3 received however today we received one. (Surely when ordering they could state that 1 is 1 or 1 is a few, same for bahjis you order 1 and get 3. The naan bread were nuked and not enjoyable. And the mains lacked the usual finesse we've previously received. I know there can be off days.

An absolutely brilliant meal here this evening. The poppadoms were fantastic with the amount and choice of dips supplied. Main course was also lovely. Staff very nice and polite. Will be going back again.

Great food and service in friendly surroundings

Really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. I've never seen a sauce tray for the poppadoms so big! Really welcoming, great service. Food was amazing!

Food arrived quickly and nice and hot. Sauce good, chicken we think is frozen and ready heated. So chewy and not succulent. Shame. Won’t be ordering again.

Great curry and great service at very reasonable price in nice little curry house although lights far too bright for me! Easier to pay in cash so would recommend taking it.

I’m not sure that many people realise that Olive has an actual USP, they get their ingredients fresh daily, so it’s even better than Coco Tamarind or Radhuni’s. Olive need to make more of their marketing because this is hands down the nicest, freshest, and cleanest Indian takeaway around. Not oily but always crisp and perfect.

Lovely food and great customer service! I love a prawn puri and Olive's is the nicest I've had! Highly recommend and looking forward to returning again soon.

Been here a coupe of time and had an absolutely delicious curry - genuinely one of the best I've had! Good service and price is very reasonable, especially if you can pay cash. Very highly recommended.

Had a family meal which was Ok, but when it came to the bill we had to pay nearly £20 more for paying by card.

We love Olive - there are a few curry houses in PR and surrounding areas - but this one is the best - nice staff - great food - today we were celebrating a friends birthday early and on a Wednesday you get 4 items for £18? A starter, main, side and rice or bread … with drinks our dinner was under £100 - being recently diagnosed as type 2 diabetic / there’s enough on the menu for me to have without rice/bread - so I swap for 2 veg dishes - it’s not a large place - cosy - but the menu is large with great specialties and not oily - go and try - you won’t be disappointed

The food was tasty, hot and offered different choices. The ambience was nice and modern with good service from staff. We enjoyed trying something different. We had monk fish which was lovely, and the king prawn puri which was really good.

Different menu to other Indian restaurants, nothing special to be honest, very clean and staff was very attentive and courteous

Staff are lovely, service is great. Delivery is prompt and the food is hot and we'll packaged. The meat is always good quality. My only small complaint is that most of the curries are quite sweet. A little too sweet for my taste. Maybe they've tried to cater to western taste buds, but for me I'd like something more authentically Indian, without having to go there. Otherwise, it's a great place, very clean.

This is absolutely the best Indian restaurant in this area. Such lovely, accommodating staff and their jalfrezi, biriyani and tikka dishes blow all others out of the park. Oh and please try their tarka dhal! 😋 Love this place 🥰

I received a pamphlet through my door advertising a banquet night with 5 courses for £16.95 on Wednesdays and Sundays.When I rang the restaurant for details, I was informed that this comprises of starter, main, vegetables & rice or nan.Firstly, the latter are dishes ...not courses!!Secondly, this totals 4 not 5.When I queried this, I was informed( rather tersely) that it used to be 5 courses but now it is 4.Why advertise something that is so inaccurate?

Simply the best restaurant I can find in the neighbourhood. The ingredients are fresh and of exceptional quality. The choice and selection of a variety of dishes, presented in a thoughtful yet simple way, demonstrates a fusion between traditional and modern Asian cuisine to excel expectations in a small yet friendly environment. Good value, suitable for all clientele, with plenty of local parking.

Decided to get a takeaway from here following trip advisor check and it's definitely worth 5 Stars. We ordered in the restaurant, we were told 15 to 20 mins and they were on time. We had Slow cooked Sri Lanka lamb and the chicken green curry both were fantastic. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.

The menu is different, has all the normal dishes and some excellent house specialties. Portions are large and very tasty. Love the vegetable side dishes. Excellent staff all very helpful and courteous

Hygiene needs reviewing! We had upset stomachs after a takeaway from Olive on Saturday night. Obviously fresh prawns were not used and husband said his main was bland.

Had a lovely family meal at The Olive for our son’s 30th birthday. Good food, reasonably priced, efficient friendly service.

By far the best Indian takeaway for miles around. Once you have tried the food here, you won't go anywhere else. The lamb falls apart when you bite into it. Not a lot of ghee used either. Good work.

Delivery close to an hour late, madras was mild with very chewy lamb, only 3 pieces of monkfish in a £13 dish, 3 cheese naan had no cheese , keema naan was soggy with virtually no filling and kholapuri chicken was low in depth and...

We’ve been getting takeaways from Olive since they reopened after the first lockdown in 2020. We’ve sampled a lot of the menu and every meal has been great.

Great food, friendly and not hurried service - excellent vegetarian options. Have had a very good meal here tonight, the vegetarian options are plentiful and the value for money amazing. Often you can feel hurried through, but not here, it was a very good experience.

This month I have had a meal at the restaurant and got a takeaway from them as well. While dining in the staff are very attentative. And you get a massive selection of dips with the poppadoms. With the takeaway, the food was ready when they said it would be. My frustration though was the mountain of plastic that came with the food.The 8 poppadoms came with 12 dips (3 unique dips and 4 of each one). Each dip had a plastic lid and bottom. I think our meal for 4 people had 42 pieces of plastic in total.I think there is an opportunity to serve food in more expensive plastic containers. And get customers to bring them back for a refund.

This place is a real find. Warm welcome and great food freshly made and beautifully presented. It's a different take on the usual " Indian" experience without the upmarket prices you might expect. Well done- we will spread the word and return soon.

Had a takeaway {not the first} and have to commend the food. All the dishes we have tasted so far are all different flavours. Each curry has it's own individual taste and is extremely well spiced. It just has the different regional flavours. Looking forward to actually eating in the restaurant. Staff very amenable. At the moment it's the tops with our families.

take away - all food was excellent and by far beats any we have had in the area of Thame for many years. There was no grease on the top of the curries (unusual), the attention to detailed flavours was clear for example the rice had fresh coconut in it and you could tell the difference between the various flavours easily. The quality of the meat was superb - tender and no 'rogue' bits!

We ordered & collected a takeaway yesterday, the restaurant is lovely inside and the staff are really friendly & chatty. The food was great too with lost of flavour and great value for money! Would recommend and visit again if we’re in the area.

I was so disappointed with the meal I received as a takeaway from this restaurant! I wanted to like it, as I really like the idea of healthier Indian food (as it generally is in the country itself!) but the main meal I received was virtually inedible. I ordered a chicken phaal as I always enjoy spicy food. However, to make this meal hot, the chef had simply added a load of chilli powder. This made the meal extremely bitter to the point that it was quite unpleasant. Another giveaway sign was the meal's colour: deeply dark red (ie the colour of chilli powder). So I won’t risk their food again. Conversely the 2 friends I dined with had good meals, hence 2 stars and not one.

Had our first meal from Olive tonight delivered to us in Chinnor. The service, timing, delivery and pricing were excellent. Also surprised how warm the food still was coming from Risborough. The food was all so good. Very difficullt to choose as there are so many items on the menu that we have not seen on an Indian menu before. The jumbo king prawns were gigantic and the parsee duck narangee so tender and tasty. My wife from Southern USA loves Ocra and was delighted with this rare treat. Naans and even poppadoms were exceptional.We would strongly recommend to anyone.Thank you so much to all at Olive, we will be looking forward to the next time.

When times are tough, you need something to lift your spirits up and today, after Tom Moore had turned 100 and raised so much money for the NHS, it was the usual clap down our street in their honour, a quiz and a delicious take away from The Olive. Only our second visit but we like the flavours,the fact that it isn't greasy and the little extras. Thank you for staying open, for your friendly service and for the 20% discount on collection. Every little helps!

A great selection of Indian dishes that are different from the normal run of the mill. Well cooked, well presented and great service.
