Almost 2 hours later still not received any food don't answer phone don't bother wish I'd ordered else where

Came in as hadn't been in for a very long time. I'm glad I did as the gent behind the counter was courteous and professional. Food was very nice and hot. Unfortunately portion size is small but everything else is very good

I had seen "one if the best fish and chips in Bristol" and thought I'd give it a go for an easy meal while I was in the area. One word to describe it, Mediocre. My fish was too greasy and tasted a bit off, Perhaps I just got an odd bad batch but the chips weren't up to the standard I had expected from other reviews prior to my visit. I would be willing to give it another go but the customer service that I had has put me off

the batter was soggy and undercooked, the chip portion on a large was rubbish and the staff are rude!

We ordered large cod, portion of scampi, and an extra large portion of chips. It was nice, but portion size of chips very small, no way we're they extra large. Which meant we did not have enough.

It costs more too order on line for collection than to pop in they turn the phone off so you have to do this over 22% more expensive than if I went to the to door to order, I could do this but they sell out of a lot of things so I like to check and order before I rock up. There is also on most occasions something wrong with my order. I have paid over £60 from there mistakes and unclear pricing

Im sorry but YUK! bloody horrible rip off, why has everything shrunk in size for extra cost , soggy batter with skin on

We get fish and chips from here regularly, the fish is always cooked fresh and I’d piping hot and delicious. The chips are always fantastic, never stuck together, nor are they greasy. Best chippy in the area bar none.

We called in here last week for dinner and sat in the restaurant to eat. It's obviously a takeaway too so not a candlelit dinner place but the service was lovely and staff friendly. Our food arrived quickly, was well cooked and presented and portion sizes were good. A nice change from the usual Indian and definitely something to do more often.

What a beautiful lunch we had!!, the place is really clean and well kept and the fish??? absolutely gorgeous! The chips were lovely and dry not swimming in grease which makes such a welcome change and there curry sauce was beautiful! The waiter was quick, efficient and very helpful which made all the difference! We will definitely return when in Kingswood again. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND A VISIT!!

Made a special trip to purchase a vegan takeaway only to be told that they weren't doing them that night! Nothing on the website to tell you that.

Not great. Purchased a regular box of chips at lunchtime £2.20. It was a pretty small box. Not good value for money. And to top it off they were reheats! Greasy and horrible texture. Won't be going back or recommending. Shame.

Just had a veggie nuggets, vegan burger, vegan sausage & vegan chips, topped off with Irish vegan curry sauce from Clock Tower. It was out of this world! Would definitely recommend this as an alternative to just fish & chips. Ordered online and came on time so no problems there. Keep up the good work Clock Tower.

ordered online for delivery at 5.30, .5.45 still waiting so tried phoning & received a message stating mailbox was full so could not take our call.,had no other way to contact so patiently waited.About 5.50 ()20 mins late) delivery arrived, no apology & whilst we specified the order was to be left on our doorstep & they were to just knock & go, the delivery guy decided to wait & hand us our now cold food & he had no mask. By now the food was cold & uneatable. emailed & this was ignored, ,so tells you all you all you need to know about this company.My best advice is to avoid

Still waiting. Ordered for 7.45. It’s 8.25. Called them. They said to 30 min each way. Figure that out for yourself. Going to do cheese on toast.

Christmas menu was a nice option. Pig in blanket was extremely small for the price. Normal size sausage would have been much better. Santa stack burger was fantastic.

My burger was absolutely lovely the cod was absolutely lovely everything was so so nice would definitely order again!

We had fish and chips and pie and chips delivered last night. The fish was so greasy I could not eat it. It seems to be a bit hit and miss from the Clocktower. Twice now it has been very greasy, 4 times it has been good.

We had clocktower takeaway, Friday this week.Was absolutely georgous! Beautiful fish, had the large cod was massive.Also can recommend the chicken burger was so tasty.Glad they are still doing deliveries so we can still order. With coronavirus going on.Keep up the good work clocktower ❤

Just had fish, chips, battered sausage and chicken burger as recomended by my district nurse. Well never again. The fish was hard, dry and dripping with fat, tasted like it had been refried multiple times. The battered sausage was oozing fat, but the meat tasted quite nice. The chips were dry, hard and tasted like raw potatoes. The chicken burgers tasted good. We spent over £25.00 including delivery in this climate that is £25.00 we can least afford to waste. Please do no waste your money avoid at all costs!

My son has a thing for fish, we have had fish, chips and curry sauce twice now from Clocktower, first time we collected and today we ordered for home delivery. Both times we have been very impressed (by pinching a few chips and a small piece of fish!). Next time we will order some for ourselves too ! Food piping hot on delivery, would highly recommend :)

This chippy does the best fish its large and full of white fluffy fish the chips are great to Nothing is to much trouble the staff are great and now they deliver your order it come hot and on time love this place

Large cod is huge and delicious thick flaky fish and crispy batter. Chips are chunky and crisp. Friendly and polite. Would never go anywhere else. Amazing!

Always use this takeaway as the food is always excellent and the staff are just as good plus the home delivery system is excellent as well

I've been coming here for the best part of 30 years as man and boy. The food is excellent. I can highly recommend the chicken chips and gravy, my usual meal of choice.

this shop is now called the clock tower and they make the best fish and chips in kingswood with proper chunky chips not the skinny ones you get in some fish shops and generous portions and you can also sit down inside the shop and the friendly staff bring your order to your table nothing is too much trouble you just have to ask i would recommend this shop to anyone who enjoys fish and chips i visit this shop at least twice a week and i'm never disappointed

Visited several times, had most things on the menu between us and everything is absolutely brilliant. James the owner and Ebony and Dan are all absolutely fantastic, really nice friendly guys, food is always fast even when they're really busy, and very reasonably priced, would definitely recommend if you're in the area!

So, I love mushy peas - this might sound odd but I totally know that this place sold me half a tin of Baxters mushy peas for £1. Very disappointed. However, the actual fish and chips were great! Be more liberal with the salt and vinegar though! ;)

Called into Oldfields to have 'sit down' fish and chips whilst out shopping. The place was very clean and the Staff were attentive and very friendly. Our meal was superb very well cooked and tasty. Whilst we were eating a man in a wheel chair came in, the staff moved chairs so that he culd be accomodated. I recommend this place highly and will definately be going again Thank you

Came here whilst out shopping up kingswood with my family, could smell the fish and chips from a mile away, went in and was busy but all the staff were very helpful and friendly, kept on top of the good service despite being busy, no one waited very long for their food, it was very very quick service with quality food to hand. Take away and eat in were both options which was really nice. I chose to eat in, my food was very fresh and tasted amazing. There was loads of variety for everyone, kids meals and vegetarian meals. I travelled from Filton (20 minute drive) and was worth the drive, was very impressed and would definitely come back, shop was very clean and seemed to be a well known fish and chip shop, many customers seemed to be really friendly with staff which was really nice. Will definitely be coming back and will recommend to anyone!

Probably the best fish and chips in Kingswood and longwell green and Oldland common I would use any of them

We always have the eat-in fish and chips and we have never been disappointed! First class service and food, the quality is impressive! You must try it!

We didn't move to Oldland Common because of this fish and chip shop, but I'm sure that its presence has increased the property prices where we live as people seem to drive from far and wide in order to visit Oldfields..!The portion sizes are excellent, everything is competitively priced, and we've never had a meal that hasn't tasted fresh - a lovely Friday night treat! Bear in mind that it is closed on Sunday's though.

There's no better place to go then Oldfields, if you want this traditional British favourite. The fish is always cooked well with the batter just right and to die for, even the skin is removed. There are your usual other options available but the fish and chips is a must, especially as approx £5 for fish chips mushy peas and a mug of tea or coffee!!!! You can takeaway or seating inside. Staff are friendly too giving quick service but definitely the best fish I've ever had, but don't take my word for it go try for yourself.....ENJOY!!!

Have visited here several times but never remember to the name to write a review. We always opt to sit in and we have always had our fish cooked fresh. Fish is lovely and so are the chips. There's a few tables and they have a toilet out the back which you can use too. If you want a good portion of fish and chips here is defiantly the place. Down side is they charge you for ketchup. Been lots of times and will continue to visit.

Very good chips and pretty good prices, I've never had a delivery unlike the last reviewer but i have been sitting in here to eat many lunch times! There's a fair amount of seating for such a small place, 6 or so tables 2/per, gets pretty full during lunch times, usually with old people who know where the good fish and chips are!! The service has always been nice and friendly, the chips are definitely the best in the area and if you get a large ..its LARGE! The sauce, curry / gravy come in decent sized bowls, i always get the gravy which is lush! So if you're in Kingswood and feeling like having a crafty bag of chips for lunch, trust me and check them out! (Just don't pinch my table!!!) :D

Waited over 2 hours for a delivery. Wouldn't normally request a delivery of fish and chips but was home alone with the baby so couldn't leave the house thought I'd try something quick and easy. 2 hours later I'm still waiting.

When I visited this fish and chip shop at twenty past eight on a Saturday night I was rather surprised to see that there was no cooked food in the "hot counter" at all. Im not sure why this was (not sure if they were soon to close, Im not sure of their opening hours) - or whether its because they like to cook food fresh to order.Ordered large cod and chips, and 2 fishcakes and chips, which cost £9.90 - this seemed a bit steep but I haven't had fish and chips from a takeaway in a while so maybe this is the going rate?Had to wait 20 minutes (which was a bit annoying, and wouldn't suit somebody in a rush!) The food, however, was delicious, and the staff friendly.
