Olde in Kirklees

Had lunch here today, fish and chip meal with mushy peas, bread and butter plus tea £5. Reasonable, Staff friendly and welcoming, BUT needs a complete refurbishment, very dated furniture and decoration although it doesn't refelect the food which was delicious. Served quite quickly so I gues it depends what time you go as to how quickly you are served

We called in here for some dinner. Seem to have a lot of young staff working going at snail pace very slow. We found a table to sit at table was sticky good job I had some wet wipes with me so gave the table a clean. A young girl came and served us eventually we got 2 can of coke Husband had battered sausage and chips I had fish without batter and mushy Peas They fetched our meal I thought they only fetched 1 set of cutlery but unwrapping the napkin there was 2 knives and 2 forks so we had to share one napkin which I thought was tight and not right. she said it was £11.45 pay now pretty shocked about that i gave her the money then she went off. They were disgusting my fish was tasteless mushy peas was cold . I asked the young girl to warm them up and when she came back with it they wasn't even lukewarm. Another lady came and said are they warm enough I can change them if you want but I didn't want my fish be reheated a second time. But she was the only one that was helpful so I thanked her. On our way out I asked for another napkin to finish wiping my mouth and said there was two of us but you only gave one napkin she then went to give me some of a roll of blue tissue I told her that the meal was disgusting so do not enter or enter at your own risk I have added 2 photos

Dios mío evita este lugar como la peste. Mi marido y yo llamé para cenar. Me tomó años de servirnos nos estaba a punto de salir cuando decidimos venir y servirnos. Pedir a la joven chica marido tenía jumbo salchichas con patatas fritas y yo tuvimos pescado sin pasta y guisantes y blanda 2 latas de coca cola. Ellos buscaron nuestra comida 2 cuchillos y 2 tenedores envueltos en una servilleta. Luego dijo: PAGAR AHORA como si vamos a correr con salida pagando, ella dijo que iba a costar 13 libras. 00 me dio el dinero cuando regresó, pero ella debe haberse dado cuenta de que era sólo £11. 45 estaban asquerosas mi guisantes blandos era pescado frío no sabor agradable muy soso. Le pregunté a la chica a ellos calentarla y cuando regresó con él todavía no estaba aún tibio. Otra Señora se acercó y dijo que son lo suficientemente cálidas pueden cambiarla si quieres pero no quieres ser mi pescado recalentado una segunda vez. Pero ella estaba tratando de ayudar, así que agradeció a ella. En nuestro camino de salida me pidió otro pañuelo y dijo que había dos de nosotros, pero sólo uno que luego fuimos a dar a un rollo de papel azul le dije que la comida era asquerosa y que no iban a regresar.

Metimos en durante mi hora de almuerzo hoy, nunca ha sido así que pensé que lo probamos. Pedimos una pequeña F&CS. El director se cortó un pez en medio y colocarse en una pequeña porción de patatas fritas ... no está mal en este punto. Pagamos £2,70 £10 de una nota. La chica que me sirvió no pudo trabajar de lo que cambio ella tenía para mí. El jefe intervino y ayudó a ella en una forma veces hirviendo. Incluso tras él ayudó a ella, aún así defraudados por 20 p! No podría ser molestado volver en para 20 p así que fui a tener el F&CS. horrible es todo lo que puedo decir. Casi me enfermo. Pescado estaba pasada y muy grasosa. Las patatas fritas eran más como restos y para rematar, todo estaba tibio. Ojalá que prestaban atención a lo que ella envuelto para mí. Aprendimos la lección, nunca ir a este lugar.

Whilst shopping in Huddersfield on Thursday the 1st July 2015, my party of 3 senior citizens decided to have a fish and chip lunch, so we popped into OLDE ENGLAND FISHERIES, NEW STREET And sat down in the seated area, a couple of minutes passed and the waitress arrived, we ordered fish and chips and tea bread and butter, and a portion of peas, and tea , for 3 persons ,we had to pay immediately at this point, anyway, 3 lots of cutlery appeared wrapped in paper tissues ,and were left on the table.10 minutes and the meal arrived, what a disgrace, more black ended chips than white ones on each plate chips looked warmed up, decided to eat fish, this seemed ok until half way through when turned over the fish was soggy and wet, we left the majority of the meal when the tea arrived it was placed on the table without clearing the plates away leaving very little room for the tea, ,and having already taken our money, we were snookered, or we would not have paid for this terrible presentation. We asked to see the manager, who appeared, and did not seem to be concerned with the problem, but thanked us for mentioning the fact we had been ripped off, and said no more. So beware if in Huddersfield centre precinct NEW STREET Shopping, and fancy a fish and chip treat ,look further afield and dodge this terrible place to eat. Spoiled a good day out. for 3 old codgers.
